Alright, so we're going on
Day 4 of planning our RP, and I just want to say you all have been doing a fantastic job getting this off the ground; in particular, I would like to thank the individuals who have gone above and beyond for the project. Thanks to Silas Miu, Singularity, and Jastor Starfallen for volunteering to manage the protagonist company, to justifiably produce income for the resistance RP - they'll be producing tech for the resistance's use as well as the open market, which, in of itself, is a lot of work; they're doing a great job thus far to help push the RP along as well, so thanks, guys. Thanks to Joran Del-Finn to getting together with me on Skype and work out Codex subs for the setting, it's a lot of work and it might personally drive me insane, but we're having fun and I couldn't do it without him. Thanks to Jakkor Kess, Aerin The Lost, and Nicair Claden for contributing heavily to the overall story, it wouldn't be the same without them. And, finally, thanks to Kevros Kovani who has, thus far, been dedicating his time to the antagonist role, for using his personal assets to help the RP, and for offering to write a tech sub for the
Purgatory.
Also, Dax Fyre, welcome to Chaos!
Again, a reminder to follow this thread to keep in touch; this thread was partially, for a large portion of us, founded out of the frustration with the inconsiderate who consistently disappear from threads. If you aren't contributing to planning
and you cannot be reached to understand there is still interest, you will be disqualified from the RP - this will be done to ensure activity.
In addition, I will be making an additional alt to serve as dungeon master to the experience; since so many of your guys's ideas revolve around heavy environment interaction, having a nonbiased character account dedicated to assisting the flow of the RP will probably work wonders for what we have in mind.
RECAP:
So, for the prologue setting for this RP, we'll all be onboard the
Purgatory, a prison ship whose destination will be Nocrassol, a distant mercantile planet located in the Unknown Regions. Everyone's reasons for being on said planet will be purely decided by the individual, some will be prisoners, such as myself, while others are free to be employees and so forth. For several generations, the community of said world has hosted a series of games, financed by the Kovani Company and overseen by a nameless antagonist, who will be written as an overall NPC and utilized solely as a writing element. The goal of these games are simple: with the viewership of multiple powerful people - corporate entities, pirate leaders, crime lords, military generals, rogue force-users, etc. - it'll be used to test new lines of combat enhancements, stims, psychological conditioning, drugs, and so forth. Through some means or another, the ship will crash-land onto the planet, according to the overall plan of the game - we'll be stranded there, forced to survive in a hostile wilderness and with the only towns in sight controlled by our enemy.
In addition, as suggested by Kovani in a PM, we could play with the idea of every PC having a NPC sponser - someone betting on the character's survival and sending them equipment throughout the game, to better increase their chances of surviving the dangerous wilderness . . . and the next element suggested by our new friend. He'll be writing a codex submission for a group of criminals who will be serving as the primary opposition for the earlier sections of the campaign - that is, until Kovani himself gets involved and, in turn, the Big Bad NPC antagonist behind the scenes. From there, as we all know, there will be large portions of survival RP, interactions, and so-forth; I'd hate to put anything into concrete here, since this is where a lot of dynamics between characters will likely come into play. What's important is that we establish a setting, the threats at this time, and what we're able to do - with a DM over viewing the RP, you guys can do what you want.
Note, we are accepting additional antagonists at this time. Please tag me if you intend to nominate yourself for the role.
Some point beyond that, as discussed, is when we'll begin to fight back; maybe we've established a foothold, maybe we've tasted victory - but, for one reason or another, we've formed our resistance against Kovani and the Big Bad. As stated previously, members will form a company to finance and produce weaponry and armaments for us to combat our enemies and, in addition, Jakkor Kess and Silas Miu has suggested that the protagonist group make this Resistance a minor faction, to better organize ourselves and allow it, in turn, to evolve more thoroughly on its own. I'm fine with whatever you decide, but I want to get
everyone's opinion on this. In addition to this, it was unanimously agreed to include a fire swamp from the Princess Bride; so that is now a thing. In addition, we'll need someone to volunteer for stim research in order to help us write up stim tech subs. The protagonist company, also, will be invited to a group PM to discuss development regarding it in private; and, if anyone has any input regarding antagonist tech, please let me or Kevros know - we're all in this together.
Finally, the first thread is finally beginning to take shape. It's integral that all the subs we need submitted for the prologue are entering rough draft state; if anyone currently not involved with such a project would like to help, please tag me and let me know whether you would like to work on Antagonist Tech, Protagonist Tech, or the Setting. We could use all the help we can get to finish this up pronto.

In addition, if I could please get a response from
everyone involved in the story (at least, those who intend to participate in the actual thread) to this post; I'll use your response order to designate a post order for our first thread. So, first come, first served; I'll elaborate on what will be expected more during tomorrow's recap.
Again, great job everyone.
