HISTORICAL INFORMATION
The Exclusion Zone began with an Offer.
In the wake of Eshan's liberation, the planet itself was but a shadow of its former glory. Having been battered by Mandalorian bombardments and trampled by literal monstories, the world was in no state to defend itself alone. Tactically and culturally speaking, Eshan and her neighboring systems would have been a boon to any foreign power. Therefore, the Confederacy could not simply liberate the world and then leave her to the wolves. They would have to ensure that they had an opportunity to lick their wounds and return to their way of life. In peace. Thus it was that, a mere twenty-four hours after the fighting had been concluded, that the Confederacy declared an Exclusion Zone around Eshan and her neighboring systems.
A fleet composed of participants in the planet's liberation, as well as reserve and support ships, was quickly assembled at the command of the Vicelord. Their duty was to detect and defeat any Mandalorian encroachment into the worlds their protection. Taskforce Vail-Talon was not a conqueror in of itself, nor would it ever enforce any policies, martial laws, etc. upon the planets it protected. Rather, it simply had one, ironclad goal that it would fulfill until it was called home.
Multiple efforts were made in order to give peace of mind to the natives who found themselves under the protection of this monumental force. Firstly, a solemn vow was made with the Queen of Eshan that, should ever her people feel the Confederate presence was no longer needed or welcome, they would withdraw at her word. Additionally, the Confederates themselves attempted to offer an olive branch to the Mandalorian regime with their own solemn vow. If they would respect the boundaries of the Exclusion Zone and make no efforts to establish a presence within it, then there would be no further conflict between their nations.
It is the sincerest hope of the Confederacy that those underneath their protection would have the opportunity to know true peace. And that Eshan and her neighbors could rebuild without fear of conquest or oppression.
