Etti Jetti - Rocket Fuel [Connor Harrison]

Taking a seat, Connor places both hands on the arm of his chair, folding his leg over on his lap as he listened to Abaigeal. He looked between the pair, wondering what hold Siobhan had over her, and what sort of business she was into.

”Miss Kerrigan, I can assure you my intention was never to involve your…to involve Abaigeal at all. I was simply drawn to find what I could about Iella E’ron, and the Force led me to her blood. If there is a way I can finish a journey I started years ago, and help Abaigeal in the process, then I hope you can put your trust in me to see her through alright."

He was confident, and quietly eager at closing this chapter that had plagued him all this time. It seemed so close, and it would pay for once to be confident in what he was doing, especially if Siobhan held aces that he needed to see laid down.

This writer is uncertain when this thread takes replace timeline-wise in relation to another one, where Sio learned that her daughter [member="Galina Kerrigan-Alcori"] was a lost princess and needed to save her planet from evil wizards! It seemed that the past kept giving her little girls important quests that would take them away from her!

Alright, maybe this was a slightly self-centred perspective. Deep breaths, stay calm, she's a big girl, Siobhan told herself. She really appreciated that glass of water when a secretary brought them drinks. Nothing like having an overprotective, femnazi mother. "Iella's ghost appeared to you?" she asked for confirmation, then downed a good portion of her glass.

"What kind of personal mission do you have to go on? How long will you be away, where do you have to go?" she spoke, glancing from Aba to Connor. All in all, she was taking things a lot better than in the other thread! "I'm not doubting your intentions, Mr Harrison. If you were a friend of Iella's, you must be good people, but I'm sure you understand I'm a bit wary about sending my little angel away with someone I don't know. What kind of journey is this?"

The questions Sio asked of them were understandable in the circumstances but the problem was Abaigeal could not answer them save one. "Yes my mother appeared to me not like in a vision but as a force ghost, she did not really say anything but I understood what she wanted me .. actually Connor and I to do". All force users know of such things, of force ghosts, but very few actually seem them unless there is a strong connection through the force to a 'grounding' and Abaigeal is that grounding.

"She wants Connor and myself to go to the core. I don't know exactly where or why but I know I must go". Not much to go on, and anyone else would consider her mad, but deep down Abaigeal knows this journey will be the making of her. " I .. I don't know how long I will be away, but I promise you I will contact you when possible".

The tall glass of water beckoned to her, her mouth dry and wanting for it, not because of trying to convince Sio of this journey but more herself as this whole story seems crazy. In situations like these no beings to doubt ones self.

Resting his chin on his fingers, Connor relaxed into the seat as Abaigeal explained it all. However, at the mention of “the core”, Connor’s eyes broke from Siobhan, and over to the daughter of E’ron. When she finished, he couldn’t help himself.

”Sorry – the Core? As in, the Galactic Core? The Core teeming with Sith?"

He straitened up slightly.

”You didn’t tell me that before. Looks like this trip just got a whole lot more dangerous," he glanced at the mother figure, ”…but it’s nothing I can’t handle. Don’t worry. She’ll be safe with me."

Offering a confident smile, it soon vanished as he glanced over to Abaigael, a pang of concern crossing his brow.

Objective: Be open-minded, be a good mum, let the bird spread its wings?

Siobhan listened, she tried to keep an open mind. Then she heard 'Core' and 'Sith' and, well, trying to be open-minded went out of the window. Awkward intensified. "Your mother wants you to go to the Deep Core? Where it's crawling with Sith like Kaine. It's Sith Central." Concern and shock hit her like a tidal wave.

"I'm sorry, I can't allow this. That's nuts. No mother will let her daughter walk straight to her death," she said very firmly. There was a pause before she spoke again. "Are you...really sure this was Iella? Why would she want you to go there?" Well, obviously it was, but Siobhan did not know that. It did not seem totally implausible to her that it could be some Sith spirit masquerading as her. Crazy? Well, yes, but she'd had a crazy life and her thoughts were dominated by her anxiety about losing her daughter.

She remained looking down into the glass of water. Although she heard all their words and questions for the moment she remained silent. In her mind Abaigeal was forming a plan, they would need an unmarked ship, she could not take her mother's A-wing that would be flagged and no Sanctum ship would get passed the first check. But as she ran through all this detail, she suddenly looked up.

Her eyes finding Sio's and held them for a moment. Concern written all over her face, which Abaigeal understood, the same for Connor, after all he did not really know her at all and now she is asking him to place himself in grave danger on a few strange sensations from her mother. Had she got it wrong?

No, a feeling through the force told her she had translated her mother's wishes perfectly. "I am sith remember", she said a softly as the breeze outside. If they were to run into sith this would prove an advantage. But they will not, she knew it.

"The Core is not entirely controlled by the Sith, we are not to go into the deep core .. I know that much", there is a eerie sense to her words, "Where we are going no Sith will walk, no one knows where it is, the place my mother will guide us to is not charted on any starmap".

"Yes, it was my mother I saw. And she has been there too".

Rubbing his fingers together in a small circle, Connor watched the two quietly state their corner. Siobhan had maternal instinct; Abaigeal had a daughter’s drive. It was hard to see, but of course right now he would do whatever Abaigael needed – Siobhan wasn’t mother by blood, and when did any child always listen to a parent.

He was about to speak and vouch for her in the Core, but the subtle comment that she was a Sith stopped him, causing him to frown, and turn his head with a bemused expression.

”A Sith?" He hissed to her.

It wasn’t just a status you announce in passing.

”Anything else you want to tell me?"

Connor sat back and exhaled, looking at Siobhan and giving a quick shake of his head.

Siobhan wasn't Aba's mother by blood, but then she wasn't Nato's and Galina's either. Yet she had grown into the role and thus was her mother now, as far as she was concerned. However, like every parent she had to realise that one day the little bird would leave the nest and that she could not shelter her forever. As much as she hated this thought.

An uncomfortable silence descended upon the office, then she shot Connor a look. "Don't use that tone with my daughter," she said very sternly. "If you want to me to entrust her safety to you." If Aba wanted to explain her genes, that was her business. Siobhan would not push her.

Slowly she got up from her chair and walked over to Aba. "I don't like this," she said bluntly. "But I...can sense this is important to you and I believe you." Damn, that had been hard to say. "And I guess I can't shelter you all the time. But you won't be leaving right now. This sort of thing needs to be prepared. And do you two really need to go alone?"

She could understand Connor's look toward her, and it was an important piece of information he needed to know. "Not in the way you are thinking. My parentage has got a lot to do with it, my mother as you know was Corellian, my father, well", how to explain him. "My father is a product of sith alchemy pieced together from all manner of species, he was once sith eons ago but turned to the lightside hundreds of years ago. His blood runs through me, pure sith blood. But that is not me".

"It is a good part of the reason I was kept alive when in Kaine's dungeons". She turned her attention to Sio. "I understand your concern and I love you for it, but we have to go alone on this, but I would appreciate it if we could borrow a ship, unmarked". Abaigeal stood and moved to Sio, standing with worry over her brow, "Don't do that, don't furrow your brow you will wrinkle", she smiled before hugged Sio.

This was rather entertaining for all the wrong reasons – finding more out about Abaigeal was interesting, and her genetic jigsaw certainly was baffling, even for Connor to comprehend. Siobhan Kerrigan on the other had was a prickly sort. He’d hear about her, and he could see how much authority she held over others around her. It was funny how she was evidently rattled by what Connor had said, and that ticked him.

It seemed everything had been presented, and the sooner he could convince her that he wasn’t a problem, the quicker they could go. But to the Core? That still felt a little troubling. He sat back, lacing his fingers on his chest and watched Abaigeal state her place. Connor looked to Siobhan and didn’t do anything – not a smile, or a nod, or a flicker of the eyes.

Oh, how he’d love to let loose his mouth and remind her that Abaigeal only had ONE real mother, and she could never amount to that. But, now wasn’t the time or place.

It was very amusing to see that Connor thought he knew what a 'real mother' was. After all, he quite obviously wasn't one. What with being a man and all that. Suffice to say, if he mouthed off at the Dark Master, it would pgo badly for him. It was probably for the best that Siobhan did not know about his...complicated history. Including his frequent, confusing alignment changes!

Regardless, Siobhan ignored him, since her focus was on her daughter. Adopted or not, that was what Aba was. For family was not solely determined by blood. Iella would obviously always be in Aba's heart and never be forgotten, but that wasn't Siobhan's intention. "Wrinkles? I don't have wrinkles. My skin is flawless!" Siobhan said a bit indignantly, though it was in good humour.

Yeah, totally perfect skin. Disregard all the scars. "Ok, you can go. But you better come back, understood? And call if there's trouble." She glanced over at Connor. "If she doesn't come in one piece, you will regret it," she said bluntly. Returning her daughter's hug, she patted her on the shoulder and kissed her on the forehead. "I'll make sure you get a ship and all the equipment you need. You know I have a big armoury. But first we should have dinner," she paused, before speaking again. "You're welcome to join us, Mr. Harrison," she added. She did not at all want to grill him.

Well, Connor and Sio were getting on like a house on fire, one burning out of control set the explode kinda house on fire. Dinner would most certainly be an interesting affair, but alas Connor and Abaigeal had already eaten having just come from the street diner. She could sense Sio's concern as a mother would, but it was time they left and prepared for the journey ahead.

"Thank you for the offer of dinner, but we have eaten recently and I am eager to go", she took Sio into a hug once more. "I love you Sio, without you I would be still roaming aimlessly". Yes she had a lot to be thankful for in meeting her, taking her in, in a grave time of need and understanding her purpose. Abaigeal still holds revenge in her heart for the death of her mother and now with time, her desire still strong had changed to one based in patience and one day she will face Kaine once more.

To Connor she turned. "Master Harrison, you are placing much faith in me, coming with me on nothing but a message in a vision even I am not sure how to interpret .. but knowing my mother it is not without purpose, she always held purpose strong in her daily life, her purpose as a Jedi is what drove her to become great. I can only hope to achieve some of what she did and if so, I will have done her proud".

"Sio .. it is time for us to go". With one last hug for her, she turned to Connor and nodded hoping he was prepared to walk into the unknown with another E'ron.
