Buy'ce olar, kar'ta ogir
When Beth took off his helmet, Adenn gave a half smile half grimace to her. Then she placed the breathing mask on his face. It covered his half smile, and let him breath easily, but Adenns eyes still stung a bit from the smoke. Shutting his eyes to that, Adenn listened closely to his surroundings. He heard blaster fire, and what could’ve been speeders; and here he was, lying on the ground not doing much of anything.
Sighing to himself, Adenn steeled himself to do something when the pain fully hit him. Even though Beth had used some anesthetics and bacta to try and keep the pain at bay, it was hard to fully suppress having basically your entire back burned. So, Adenn grit his teeth and let Beth get to work with the Force. While Adenn didn’t like it, he did begin to feel his skin being healed. However, that brought its own set of pain, that pain was Adenn feeling his skin grow back together.
Adenn couldn’t help himself, he let out a grunt of pain as Beth kept working. He listened as she spoke about his injury, almost done so soon. Adenn couldn’t have that, scars make character as they say, so when Beth looked away, Adenn took stock of the situation. His helmet was right next to him, as was his armor plating. There was shooting going on in the surrounding area, the moss was ok(which was good), and someone else had been hurt. That someone showed up a few moments later, turning out to be Mig.
At the sight of Mig, Adenn let out a light chuckle before wincing in pain again. His skin was tight across his back, and already most of it had healed, just like Beth had said. However, she had also said it’d take some 15-20 minutes before he’d be ready. Too long, thought Adenn to himself. Groaning in annoyance, Adenn prepared himself for more pain. He didn’t want to wait around to be healed up, he wanted to go and inflict more pain on the enemy.
However, he knew that he wasn't in any shape to fight just yet. So, he stayed still for another 5 or so minutes before making his move. Adenn growled in annoyance before putting his arms under himself. There, he pushed himself up and back onto his knees, ignoring whatever protests that may come from Beth. He sat up on his knees, and breathed in deeply before looking around for his helmet and armor. It was where he had last seen them, but the world was spinning a bit for Adenn. Shaking his head to clear it away, Adenn looked at Beth.
“Thanks for the help doc, but,” letting out a short grunt as he re-positioned himself, “I’ll be good for now. I think you should see to Mig there.”
With his part said, Adenn grabbed his armor pieces that had been taken off. They were still letting off some steam, but not much. Gingerly, Adenn placed the armor pieces back over his body. Wincing slightly as the pieces touched either his skin, or his bodysuit. For the most part, his skin had been healed, and the burns were almost gone. They were still there though. Ignoring that, Adenn took off the breath mask and laid it down next to himself; at the same time, he grabbed his helmet and put it back on.
Adenn smiled grimly to himself before placing his hand on Beths shoulder. He used it to drag himself to his feet before patting it in thanks. Then he turned to look at the carnage behind him, just barely catching Sterling hitting the man on the speeder. Adenn looked around before grabbing the westar carbine from the small of his back and readying it.
Adenn smirked to himself upon seeing a small squad appear out of the brush, they were looking to gun down any Mandos still down, so Adenn decided to ruin their days, permanently. He took several painful steps away from Beth and Mig before aiming his carbine at the squad.
They noticed him aiming at them, and quickly opened fire, at the exact same time that Adenn shot at them. Whereas his shots had been aimed to kill them, their shots hadn’t all gone straight for him. Some were aimed at Beth. Adenn quickly stepped in the way, taking all of the hits, while killing the squad before they could get another volley off.
Adenn sighed before looking down at his armor, he winced in pain. While he hadn’t been hit by the explosion there, he still had been slightly injured.
“Man, I just don’t get a break.” He muttered somewhat loudly to himself.
Then he turned slightly to Beth and Mig there. He nodded to them.
“Thanks for the help doc. Get well soon Mig.” Adenn then turned back to the little battlefield in front of him.
Only to get hit several more times by separate sources. He was knocked back, and only managed to stay upright because he reached a hand out to steady himself on either Beth or the rock. Adenn growled at that.
“You’ve doomed yourselves now fools!” He shouted at the attackers. Then, running forward, Adenn used his jetpack to jump towards a group of soldiers, firing as he went.
