Yasha grit her teeth and attempted to ease in the co-pilot’s chair, as Kyramud’s voice echoed through the comm. She shut her eyes and turned her head physically away, trying to control her breathing as her body shook under her beskar’kandar. Small craft flight… why did it have to be this small craft Adenn hung off of for a ride?!
She tried to send a ‘thumbs up’ in Adenn’s direction, a little message to let him know she heard.
“Stay… stay…” She focused her breathing in a whimper as the ship banked in a turn toward the scanned location of the excess fertilizer and IED. “Fffffffocus… someone shoot me in the face to save me from my humiliation.”
“Belay that. Yaiya, breathe. Kyramud! We’re landing i-oh monkey feathers.” Tuulu groaned as again [member="Adenn Kyramud"] did the unthinkable: this time jumping off the ARC.
“AW MY FLYING GODDESS AND HER UNDERPINNINGS! WHY!? WHY IS HE JUMPING OFF!?” Yasha screamed, as Adenn’s body collided quite… messily with what appeared to be the bomber. “Oh… ooooooooo… ssssssplat.”
The small, light fighter finally landed on the rooftop properly, and Tuulu yanked out of his harness to attend to Yasha. He got her up and moving, which now that the ground was within reach of her boots, was exactly where the Infernal wished to be.
“Cerani, did you g-“
“AW DUDE! He got him! Did you see that!? We saw it! Wait, Mama, hold on…” Cerani’s voice flickered, as audio turned to audio-visual in the bottom right corner of every Mandalorian HUD on Euceron. A dour and grey skinned collection of five Euceron stood around a ceremonial table, the documents signing over the possession of their planet on a datapad in the centre.
“Mand’alor. We salute any efforts, which include the blatant disregard of your safety for the betterment of people other than yourselves. This act in ridding us of the threat posed by Ruler Six’s menagerie, and its’… creative conclusion has touched out rational minds.
If your soldiers are so willing to protect unknown beings, how much more will they act with impunity, once we are all one? In accordance with Euceron law, and after discussing diplomatic options with your attache, we, the Ruling Power of Euceron elect to join the Clans of Mandalore, and your great, magnanimous Empire. May you defend us, as this… Alor? Defended my brother’s roof.” With another grave bow from first Ruler One, then the others, the documents were signed.
What turned out to be a search for moss became something greater, and who would have thought a coconut and a crazy Mandalorian hanging off a starfighter would save the day?
“G-good? Yes, good work, Kyramud… you… you did w-you did your job. Gred, mind checking the explosives are disconnected, before the ship takes you back? … I’ll wait here.” Yasha nodded her wolf-helm, refusing to let any of the Mandalorians see her face.
“You want to stay on the roof with a mushy corpse…” Tuulu sidled closer.
“Correction. Roof garden… and yes. For… clean up purposes… the authorities will no doubt be along.” Please for the love of Manda, do not put her in another small aircraft for a few minutes. Just a few. Tuulu stood guard, as Cerani’s voice peppered around chatting with the Ruling Power, who now that the threat was over, signed the treaty to join the Clans of Mandalore.
Reaching over to Adenn, Yasha went to tap him on the shoulder, and seeing the state of his armour, decided to instead, give the man a wave.
The End
