Fear and Loathing (Mando Dominion of The Wheel)

Shieldmaiden of Clan Munin (semi-retired)
Briika blushed a little at Nolan's statement, then flashed the dirty blonde a soft smile. "It's alright, ner vod. No worries here," she replied before he walked off towards the tables with a touch of melancholy about him.

Nodding affirmatively at Kable's suggestion, Briika followed the dark-haired Mando'ad in his black besker'gam that suited his muscular frame rather nicely to the Blackjack table where his vod had already sat down at with a stack of chips, though she wasn't sure Nolan would be able to play very well in his drunken state.

The golden blonde stayed standing, placing herself directly behind the Detta brothers; a petite hand resting on the backs of each of their chairs.

Leaning slightly forward between them, Briika smiled and cheered softly, "Oya!"

Nolan felt the presence of Briika at his back as he readied his first bet.

Oya indeed vod. I will need all the luck I can manage.

As a waitress walked by, Nolan waved her down and ordered a cup of caf. He needed to sober up before he got too 'deep' with his comments/confessions. He looked over @[member="Kable Detta"] and held up a fist as if waiting to bump Kable's.

Kable bumped his brother's fist and began placing his chips for the first round of betting. Briika's presence was a comfort. Kable made a mental point to make sure that he frequented the Oya'baat more frequently.

The night was turning out to be just the kind of vacation Clan Detta needed.

Not Ordo

Just under the upper hand.
Somewhere back in Mandalorian space the huge creature stirred. It rolled onto its massive back and pawed the air with one foot. It dreamed of chasing screamming people as it devoured them by the 10's 50's and 100's. Not that anyone could tell but a slight perking of the corners of it's mouth occurred. It was such a happy dream.

When the waitress came around, Briika was surprised Nolan ordered a caf and not another alcoholic drink so she ordered another spiced one herself; Bree's favorite kind. He seemed like a nice guy, but there was something really troubling his soul. Perhaps someday he would find a way to heal from what ever it was that burdened him so. The baar'ur would be willing to help him, if she could.

[SIZE=small]Briika watched silently as the two Detta brothers made their first bets. She'd never seen Blackjack played before, but knew the principles of the game. The key was to hit 21 with your card total or as close to it without going over to win the hand. [/SIZE]

This was fun, hanging out with these vode. Bree missed being around her family back in Enceri, especially her own vod'ikas. But for some reason, the young female Mando'ad found herself enjoying this company more though, especially the attention from one of them as her azure eyes gazed to the right looking over Kable's broad shoulder at his desirable profile.

Strider would leave @Petra Cavataio 's side to let her ponder his submission. She was a woman that had always taken her time to think decisions through. In the mean time Strider found his way towards the bar once more, His son was there along with the rest of the young mandalorians. From the looks of it all of them drooling over the pretty blond @[member="Briika Tor"]. Oh to be young again.......

Strider caught his son's attention as he gripped him by the shoulder "Drak'ika!" He interrupted snagging the flask of Tihaar the man had brought and slammed a quick swig of the engine degreaser. Letting it burn he then focused his attention on the rest of the group. "Come on boys and girls, rounds are on me"

With that Strider opened up a tab for the mandalorians to enjoy to their hearts content.

Nolan stared at his hand, Q and 5, he needed at least 4 to have a good chance of winning. But he was then distracted when Strider claimed he had paid for the next round, and Nolan felt it would be rude if he didn't take the Marshal up on his offer. He waved for another waitress, I'm on the big guys tab, I'll take the best bottle of whiskey you have, and three glasses. Thank you miss. Nolan placed a few chips on her tray as a tip.

He stood up with his caf cup held high, Here here!! he chanted to Strider in thanks for the drinks.

Going back to his hand, Hit me...

Kable cringed at the mention of more drinks. Nolan was going to be unbearable!
"Stay!" He grumbled at the dealer. Kable had a 10 and a 7, and was not gonna risk another card.
He looked towards the approaching Field Marshal. There was no other Mando that Kable respected more than Strider Garon. Kable nodded his thanks. The gesture was nice, even if the outcome was going to be catastrophic.

He looked over to the Briika and said a dry tone
"You might want to put your bucket on. Things are about to get crazy"

Upon hearing Strider's booming deep voice resonate across the bar to where she was supporting the Detta brothers at the Blackjack table, Briika turned her golden head and flashed a sweet smile at the old hound dog. Bree respected the warrior in him so she put up with the older man's flirtatious nature and somewhat fed into it not having a beau of her own, not that she'd ever go there. No, Briika was saving herself for that someone special her own age.

When Kable dryly advised about putting back on her bucket, Briika nodded appreciatively for the head's up, then worked on finishing off her just served second spiced caf quickly. This was going to become a very interesting night one way or the other it seemed.

Before he knew what he was doing, Nolan had flipped the table he was at and had his sidearm drawn on the man who just broke the door into the 'casino'

Ahhh.....Bic ni skana'din. Copaani mirshmure'cye, vod?

Excuse me? Who are you? You are no vod.

Nolan walked a little closer to the man, the intruder, the poser. He felt on edge and every ounce of alcohol in his blood just boiled out of existence. Sobriety set in, and he training started to pick up. Nolan was glad to be with his whole family, the Mandos were at his back and this man was no Mando'a.

Rygel Larraq was drunk. Very, very drunk.

Everything spun as he stumbled his way through what passed as streets on the Wheel. Half finished glass of whiskey held loosely in his left hand, Larraq fumbled with his datapad as he tried to find his way through the station.

Larraq wasn't quite sure where he was... Or how he had gotten there. What he did know though, was that he had to talk to @[member="Popo"]. There was something very important the two of them had to discuss. Larraq couldn't remember exactly what that was... But he knew it was important.

"Hey. Hey you." Larraq said to what looked like a man in a uniform. "Which way to Popo?"

If you insist, raising his pistol to the man's eye level...He holstered his weapon. Nolan walked up to the man, looked him dead in the eyes, then put out his hand, Pleasure to meet you sir, Nolan. And you are...?

Nolan wasn't keen on the man, and they were both drunk. But he was able to forgive and forget the wild intrusion...Or would he...being known for his playfulness, Nolan had charged his shock-gauntlet as a joke to welcome the man to the party. A little harmless fun. It was mostly used for detaining prisoners or smacking vod in good fun.

@[member="Han'zel"]

Kable watched as the entire 'encounter' unfolded. The loud noise had Kable on his feet, but seeing that the intruder was abviously drunk, Kable relaxed his hand from going for his sidearm.

His brother and the drunk.....The two drunks began to banter back and forth. Kable let them, until things started heating up. Seeing the escalation, Kable let out a loud sigh. He looked at @[member="Briika Tor"] and bowed "Excuse me for a second"
Kable donned his helmet and moved off to the left. He positioned himself to where the drunk baboon was on his left, and his brother was on his right. He didn't get involved yet, but just to be safe, he primed the dart launcher in his right gauntlet with a tranquilizer dart

The sudden arrival of another Mandalorian by his looks made to dampen the enjoyable evening so far they were having, well Bree was seemingly having with @[member="Nolan Detta "]and @[member="Kable Detta"].

Briika had just finished off her spiced caf and was unclipping her buy'ce to put it on like Kable had suggested earlier when @[member="Han'zel"] entered the bar like a flash bang. She quickly pulled on the helmet over her golden head while taking a few steps back from the over turned Blackjack table that Nolan had tossed.

The medic noticed right away that the drunk man was injured, but Briika wasn't going to offer any aid unless she got the nod from someone like @[member="Strider Garon"]. Any way, it seemed the young dirty blonde Detta brother was going to greet the vod with good ol' Mando manners. This could only prove to be disastrous she bet as Nolan was drunk too and in a pissy mood.

"Alright... Be careful," Bree said over a private comlink she opened with the dark-haired Detta brother; the latter part spoken as a whisper more for herself than for Kable to hear.

Popo

I'm Sexy and I Know It
Popo the Hutt sat in his office and rifled through paperwork. He kept one eye on his holoscreens to keep track of the various Mandalorians on the space station and kept the other on his papers to try and find the necessary documents. Contracts, specifically. One that he could have one of his lawyers on staff doctor up and offer to the Mandalorian leaders. With the Sith Empire now gone and his options of 'protection' coming from the meddling, investigating Republic or the more or less indifferent Mandalorians, the choice was easy. The question was how to do so for the best position possible. Stopping for a moment, he realized he'd pulled up the proper paper and set it aside. He hit the commlink on his desk and summoned his lawyer, a middle aged Neimodian of high repute and exceptional skill, and handed the contract off to him to doctor up for the Mandalorians.

Once the lawyer left, the Shell Hutt sat back for a minute and glanced at the holoscreens. One of the Mandalorians seemed very drunk, very lost, and very... off balance. Popo manually ran the Mandalorian's face through his recognition guide and couldn't find it in the HWK-I system. Frustrated and sure that he'd seen the man before, he switched to the holonet to find out. He couldn't remember where he'd seen the man before. He knew it was either a holo series called Lightbug set in an alternate universe or a business commercial. A moment or two later and he had what he was looking for. The Hutt had mixed what was apparently a Rygel Larraq, the CEO of Mandal Hypernautics, with the holo actor and star of Lightbug, James Brighton. An honest mistake, but this at least told him two things. First, he knew just who he was dealing with. Second, he now realized he needed to actually go watch the Lightbug series. Either way, the man he wanted to conduct business with was intoxicated, disoriented, and prone to making very unintelligent mistakes. Perfect.

"The Mandalorian in Sector A, Grid 262," Popo said into the commlink on his desk. "Have Wheel Security bring him to me. Immediately."
