Fear and Loathing (Mando Dominion of The Wheel)

There was a minor disturbance but his boys held it together. "Come on, Let that scum play with himself. We have more drinks to polish off eh?" Strider would insist before taking a swig of the Spiced corellian ale. The stuff was good, sweet and smooth. No where near to the harshness of Tihaar. Maybe this is the spirits that made the galaxy soft, The old man wondered.

His focus went from the booze at hand and back upon the beautiful Briika "I don't know if being called buir is an insult or a compliment" he chuckled, it was no secret that Strider was a hound and would of loved to bed the younger woman before him. But it such victories were getting thin by the years, age certainly has been inhibiting his desires.

After the ruckus was over, Briika removed her buy'ce once again and walked over to @[member="Strider Garon"]'s side as the other guy moved off to lick his wounds elsewhere, then slipped her arm around the older Mando's side and gave him a little squeeze.

"It's a compliment that I call you that. I genuinely care about you, Stri'buir," Bree smiled up at the grizzled warrior, then grabbed one of the whiskies being passed around.

"K'oyacy!" the golden blonde toasted, raising her glass to her vode, then tossing it back… Oh my did it ever burn going down, making her blue-green eyes water though she never lost her smile especially as she gazed upon the black armored young Mando'ad standing across from her.

Kable walked over and flung his arm around his brother's shoulder and guided him back to the others.
"Another drink perhaps?" He chuckled.
He removed his buy'ce and ran his hand through his dark hair. The night had turned out to be quite eventful.

He walked over to the bar and grabbed to ales, courtesy of Strider and brought the glasses over to the group. He handed one glass to Nolan then clinked his glass against his brother's.
"To Clan Detta, they couldn't kill all of us, may the Gods have mercy on the rest of the galaxy."

"Well Cyar'ika, lets go look for your crystals." He said with a grin. "And then maybe we can settle in for the night."

He looked at her for a minute more his grey green eyes showing every bit of the love he had for her. He held her hand not wanting to be any farther from her than an arms length. He ignored the ruckus and just led the way back toward the VIP markets. All of the mpst coveted items were sold in the exclusive back rooms. It was the Hutt idea of screening buyers Ordo assumed. Je walked on toward the first booth and noted a few crystals and gems.

"Are any of these what you mean, love?" He asked.

"Here, here!" Briika chimed in cheerfully. "So you boys going to finish that blackjack game or have you had enough gambling for the night?"

Rianna nodded as she approached the vendor, it was to her advantage to have her riduur with her they would think twice about doing anything underhanded with the large mandalorian standing by her side.

Rianna moved her hand over the crystals, some of them vibrated and hummed with their own life. Rianna carefully picked up one holding it eye level, she could see the play of color within it, cut evenly its power centered. The swirl of the opalesence this was not a healing crystal this crystal could be used for clearing emotions, it could not handle a lot from its size.

"No" she whispered and looked up, "it does not have the healing fire it is a cool touch, it has properties to help but not what I am looking for" Rianna smiled at the vendor, taking a step towards another. "It will be large, its affects almost immediate its sensation of pure healing" Rianna watched her husband, "A few more booths" She looked to the vendor, and began to describe what she looked for, all while she picked up a few of the crystal laid out. Perhaps one for Ord'ika if she could find what would work well with his armor.

Ordo picked up a green gem and looked at it before putting it down. He wondered if he should make a lightsaber like Jedi did. He didn't really talk about the Force much. It was an extension of the Manda for him a tool but a gift at the same time.

"You think you could show me how you know the difference someday, cyar'ika?" He said as he walked beside her to the next booth.

He looked at the old man who sat on the stool behind the booth.

"Crystals and gems for the lady." He said in his no nonsense voice.

Nolan returned the blackjack table to its rightful position, grabbed a bottle from the waitress and sat back down. He uncapped the bottle and took a swig. He then offered it up to Kable and Briika. Nolan was different, cold. He'd lost his playful mood and his usual smile was no longer present.

Deal the next hand, if you would.... He said to the dealer who'd been standing awkwardly silent as Nolan interacted with the intruder.

Rianna nodded, "Crystals have long been known to having healing properties. Some of them invoke healing for emotions, or the aura, or are said to enhance other abilities" Rianna looked down at each of the crystals, and other stones before.

She smiled as she picked up a rose quartz, "It is said this particular stone enhances love" Rianna laid it down picking up a blood stone, "This one is said to help with bleeding" Rianna had not seen that one do anything other then resemble blood. She stared at the one before her, "This is a herkimer diamond, said to promote balance between emotions and body"

She laid it down gently, "But the one we look for will appear as though it has a living fire within it, it will flicker, and the stone can be clouded" The ones that had been saved and were at the Hall of Healers now were large, natural forming clouded, and at their heart the fire of healing.

"Does that help Ord'ika?"

Briika followed Nolan back over to the blackjack table sensing the change in his demeanor from his more lighthearted self to a cold and dark one. The dirty blonde Detta brother was very emotionally complicated it seemed. Though, Bree could understand having volatile mood swings especially after surviving tragedy in one's life. It still haunted her how her older brother was killed… She felt totally responsible as the Death Watch members had been trying to make fancy with her and Valen had stepped in to protect her honor and paid the ultimate sacrifice.

Lost for a moment in her wistful musings, Briika finally shook those depressing thoughts away and held up her glass to the offered whiskey. "I'll take a refill gedet'ye, but only half way," she smiled softly. She did not want to get drunk, just enjoy the moment of gaiety with her newfound friends.

Kable saw the change in his brother, his helmet couldn't hide everything.

Kabel moved over and sat beside him at the previously overturned table. He nodded to the dealer to deal him in as well. Kable knew that his brother was beyond the talking point, so Kable just sat next to him as a silent companion.
The upside was that Briika was there, her company was very welcome.

Kable reconsidered his decision on getting drunk, but he decided to stay sober, he didn't want to look like a complete fool infront of the blonde in the red armor.

Ember came up beside the happy couple, tossed a nod at the old man, and took a look through the trays of crystals. He'd caught Ordo's comment about lightsabre crystals, or maybe that had just been Ember speculating about what his old student might have been thinking.

"Couple of these might do," he said, forking over some chits. The crystals should work for lightsabre construction, and Force knew he could use a backup.

@[member="Rianna Organa"]

"I think so Ri'ika." He said nodding as he looked at the crystals.

Ordo looked on as he heard a familiar voice of a man he had seen carry an Eweb around like a blaster rifle and go up the side of a building as if running across a field.

Ordo smiled at the man he probably always call his teacher.

"What brings you here Ember?" He said as he took the crystals and turned them in his palm. "Vor entye, Ember'buir."

He turned to his wife and motioned to his teacher.

"Rianna meet Ember Rekali. Ember this is my riduur Rianna Organa."

Briika didn't want to interfere with @[member="Kable Detta"] and @[member="Nolan Detta "]playing their cards so the golden blonde just resumed her previous position before the ruckus had occurred standing directly behind the two Detta brothers with a petite gloved hand on each chair back and watched quietly content just being there with them.

Yeah, the young @[member="Briika Tor"] did have a kindness for the old dog. As much as Strider would of loved to hound her up he cherished the respect much more. Those days, his younger days have all but vanished and the art of womanizing yet still with him but acting upon such has been far in between. And what does the old man have to show for such talents. A galaxy full of bastards and no true family, sides from his vode, nesting at his homestead. Though there was time to change that.

Strider continued to drink at his whiskey, enjoying the surroundings. His brothers and sisters all about going about their business in relative peace. Such times were short. Mandalorians were always testing their metal, always sharpening their edge in combat. This was what made them hard people, top warriors and hard to eradicate.

Strider took the last sip of his whiskey and ordered more.

Quiet on her feet, Mia moved into the bar where her comrades were. It didn't take much to work out there had been a fight of some form. She sighed and moved towards Strider, leaning on the bar next to him. "People just can't seem to learn not to pick a fight with a Mando'ade, huh?" She'd kept herself busy for the duration of the trip wondering the Wheel, learning its layout.

Ordering herself a whisky, she turned her back on the bar and surveyed the scene. "Did they break anyone?"

@[member="Strider Garon"]

Pleased to have more vode that were easy on the eyes "No, they did not break anyone. All has been handled" The old hound chuckled. Strider looked at the bartender signaling for another whiskey "Hers are on my tab as well friend!" He commanded before drawing his full attention back to the ex Mand'alor.

"Have to admit, relaxing days have been far in-between. Today we drink, tomorrow we could be bathed in the blood of some enemy of ours" He took a sip of his newly poured drink "I love the mando life!"

Rygel Larraq stood with his credit card in one hand and a sub in the other. Drunk and wobbling, Larraq stared back and forth between the sub and the man in a uniform. Apparently, the man in a uniform was an employee of Galactic Jimmy John's.

Larraq was beginning to plan his assault on the sandwich when four large, bulky aliens surrounded him and spoke in a language he didn't recognize. Clearly, the aliens were here for the sandwich. Larraq pointed his credit card at the first of the aliens and pulled the trigger.

Shortly after, he woke up being dragged bodily down a hallway. Two of the creatures dragged him by the arms. One of the creatures said something in the same language Larraq hadn't recognized before. Something, something, something, @[member="Popo"].

Rianna turned nodded to the newcomer, "Greetings Ember Rakali. How are your travels?" She was not quite sure what else to say at this moment, any friend of Ord'ika was one she would greet and honor.

You know what...I'm in the mood for some grub...You two care to join me?

He needed to take a walk, he was not going to let his mood hamper his friends' moods. He finally felt happy and that wasn't going to slip through his fingers so easily. He stood up and made for the exit, he would hope his brother and Bree to follow.
