Nobody was gonna know.

That was what she decided when she finally worked up the nerve to enter the party proper, not from the very grand entrance way, but through a servant's door.

Blaire glided through the throngs as if she skated on ice. A smile here, a touch on the elbow there, a small wave to no one in particular, the appearance of somewhere to go made it less likely you were stopped getting there.

Nobody was gonna know. Nobody would notice.

Nobody would notice her make up which had taken all morning to get right with Briana's help was smudged and hastily reapplied, in the dark, with no mirror.

Nobody would notice that her hair which had taken longer than her make-up wasn't perfectly shaped and pinned like it had been, oh let's say twenty or so minutes ago, but was now a mess.

Passing a waiter she snagged two flutes of champagne, she passed another waiter and snagged two more just as she joined up with Brandyn and Briana.

Nobody would notice her very expensive perfume being overtaken by the scent of cigarra smoke, bourbon, and cheap Corellian cologne.

"Here," Blaire downed one flute in a single go before offering one to Bri and one to Bran "you already have some!" She noticed Briana's empty flutes, "thank Shiraya," Blaire downed the other flute she was keeping for herself and instead took the one she was planning to give to Brandyn, waiting for Briana to take the other. "I was worried you would be lame,"

No, nobody would notice, well maybe if somebody did notice they would be sweet enough to let her know that the back of her dress was still unzipped.

"What's this?" Blaire asked through a wide grin pointing toward the stage at Aiden. Full of surprises.

"And who is that?" She pointed toward the bar and the man sitting alone. He grin turning somewhat predatory.

It was only then that she noticed the other person with her siblings.

"Sorry, horrid manners, Briana, introduce me."

Lysander glanced away for a moment, then slowly shook his head. The movement felt almost.. meditative, as if he were trying to simply shake away different parts of the past that still lingered. “This is where I belong,” he stated firmly. The towering spires had transformed into beautiful lakes and green gardens, bringing more freedom; it was impossible to resist. "I'm still happier here than I ever was on Coruscant."

He paused, allowing himself a moment to gather his thoughts. “It's just taking me some time to get adjusted to everything,” he admitted. A faint smile touched his lips. “While I have someone guiding me, I don’t really have anyone I’m close to here— well not yet." His gaze dropped to the ground for a moment before looking back to the girl. "It's actually really weird to feel like an outsider...trying to figure out where I even fit in."

As she began to speak about her droid, he noticed the annoyance that coursed through her. It was just as palpable as the cool air around them, and it made his own brow furrow instinctively. Lysander’s lips pursed; he was feeling unsure how to navigate some of his emotions. "I just thought that maybe without its watchful eye, you could... I don’t know, enjoy your freedom a little more?" The Padawan hadn’t meant to touch a nerve; he just thought it might be easier for them to communicate without its constant presence. He also couldn't help but wonder what kind of reports were being sent back to her parents. “But if ditching it means risking you getting into trouble again.. well, I wouldn't want that for you.”

While standing there, he was quickly transported back to their night at the carnival not long ago, where a misunderstanding had left the night feeling sour. Inhaling a deep breath, he locked eyes with her; this time, it required all the strength he possessed. His fingers tightened around the cup of cider. "Persephone," he began with a soft voice, "I’m not here for anyone else tonight. Just being next to you is all I really wanted.”

The queen's mountain estate had been opened to select invitees for what was surely to be one of the most opulent spectacles of the year. The Festival of Stars she was called and Joran could think of very few things that approached the beauty of this yearly celestial event. Seeing the anomaly up close from this place high in the mountains was sure to be something incredible but the event was something of a low priority to Captain Joran Del-Finn.

Joran had been to many worlds and seen many beautiful things, seeing another, while nice, was not something he was desperate for and it certainly was not his reason for being here tonight.

No, Joran Del-Finn was at the home of the Queen lost amongst throngs of big wigs, both from Naboo and from without, to better serve his ends, which were at present to better consolidate the growing support in his campaign to become a minister of Naboo, a politician, something that Joran Del-Finn was most decidedly not. Something he was not but something he wanted to be and very little could get in the way of Joran Del-Fin getting what he wanted.

Joran was here to schmooze, sugarcoat, and swindle himself into a seat, and who knows, perhaps one day the senate.

Joran made a tutting sound with his tongue and shook his head.

"A lovely party, truly decadent, innit?" He asked the stunning blonde on his arm. "I do wish Kalantha Kalantha had taken my offer to help with the preparations or at least just the entertainment." He complained softly to his companion.

Joran had told the queen, when he had the chance, repeatedly, that he had a personal line and could get Neesa Loroka, a very expensive and sought after singer from Coruscant, to perform.

"What do you say, eh?" He turned again to the beauty on his arm. None other than Nora Laan Nora Laan , Prime Minister of New Cov. What in the galaxy a well respected politician who also happens to be a total knock-out was doing on the arm of a scoundrel like Joran, was something of a mystery. The two met at a party celebrating Nora's victorious election as prime minister, where shortly after Nora became one of Joran's clients and possibly one of his friends, and perhaps something more. "I think I owe you a drink now," he motioned to the bar "and I know I still owe you a dance." He reminded her.

"Lysander von Ascania is not my boyfriend or friend that is a boy either!"

Aris blinked.

The Festival of Stars seemed like a fun place to explore, especially in the cold of winter. He was dressed pretty light for the fact that it was snowing, a simple Jedi robe without even an outer layer, but that was never surprising for those who knew the boy. He gave of heat like a furnace when he wanted to and today certainly was no exception. He'd been wandering for a bit, letting his senses sort of guide him to the different smells and sights the festival had to offer.

But it was a pull he'd felt that brought him here. Something he couldn't full explain, but now that he was here, now that he heard her voice, it was easy to know, why. It'd brought a soft smile to his face hearing her voice and seeing her glowing colors. Then confusion. Then, embarrassment. And a different emotion deeper in his gut he wasn't sure how to feel on.

There was someone people thought was her boyfriend. The reality settled on his shoulders as he watched the group from afar. He could hear the conversation perfectly, even from this distance.

The feeling he felt, though, brought a smile to his face. Relief. He knew Zaiya, and he knew what those colors meant. He stepped away only for a moment, then wander his way right up to her, offering the snack he'd picked up as if she'd have known he was there all along. He knew she didn't. This was a surprise. Seasoned meat, full of protein and flavor. He nibbled on his own, giving Lily a simple nod as the only person here he actually recognized.

"So.. Why are we standing outside the sex tent again?"

A small smile came across his face, not because of his probably, incredibly awful singing. But his friends, those he cared for. He could see a few of them in the crowd, conversing with one another. Perhaps it was the life day spirit that was lifting him up, but he was happy. Happier than he had been in a long time.

The melody continued, supported by the small band that was playing. Hopefully it covered up the tone that was emitting from his vocal chords.

"Fate is kind. she brings to those who love. The sweet fulfillment of their secret longing."

A small pause, before carried on. He glanced at the datapad once more before continuing.

"Like a bolt out of the blue, fate steps in and sees you through. When you wish upon a star, your dreams come true."

Finally, it was over.....

The Jedi gave a small nod of his head, as there was some applause, majority of it coming from the younglings, which the smiles on their faces was enough to give him hope.....that he didn't cause any hearing loss tonight.

"Um.....thanks." Aiden said with a smile as he quickly exited stage right, immediately going towards the bar. He wasn't sure if he felt a pain in his chest, or perhaps he was hyperventilating. How could one face off against Sion, and the dark exchange and not bat an eye but against room full of friends he seemed to be scared beyond belief.

"You did great!" He heard the voice of his day, coming from his right, as he moved up to give his son a playful shake with his hands.

"I hate you....." Aiden said with a small chuckle. "Don't ever make me do something like that again."

Kahne chuckled lightly and gave his son a gently nudge. "You still live at home right?"

Aiden looked over and gave him a look of.....really? "Um....yes."

"Then I probably will!'" Kahne said with with a playful tease. "All jokes aside, you did well. I'm proud of you. Go have some fun, but no liquor. I heard about the fiasco that you and Roman Vossari Roman Vossari got into." Kahne patted Aiden on the back before he went off.

Aiden watched as his dad walked away and he glanced towards the bar, maybe that's what he did need.

"Can I get two of those......alcoholic blue liquid whiskey things?"

The form gentleman gave Aiden a funny look, as he immediately knew what he was talking about. "These? This your first time?"

Aiden shook his head, with a complete look of uncertainty. "Nah, i've had these before." Aiden took one quickly, then followed with another. The face he made was indescribable..... "By the force, that chit is terrible." Aiden cleared his throat again as he took a seat at the bar. His nerves seemingly giving way, as he felt the wave of anxiety wash away from him.

SENTIMETAL FEELING

baV3EoN.png

"Being the outsider isn't always fun, but at least you're happier here than Coruscant."

Even during their first meeting Lysander von Ascania Lysander von Ascania had mentioned that he did not like the city-wide planet. It seemed at least one of his problems had been solved ; getting offworld. Now the new issues of making connections and settling in were making themselves known. Issues that at least Lysander seemed more eager to confront head on, or problem solve for.

"I'm not upset at you Lysander." It seemed the teenager was a little sensitive to her more emotional ventings - maybe the SSB carnival was still fresh in his mind. "I'm just really annoyed with the droid. It puts a cramp on everything, especially meeting new people. It would have been easier for me to have just never left Taris."

Mistake number one. Nothing she could do about it now, decisions had been made that she thought would have been best for her. Her life was fine, but she wasn't used to having rules and parameters and being followed up on. Somedays the frustration just boiled over.

Face flushed when Lysander mentioned all he wanted was to be around her. She had still yet to understand why. Some things in life were beyond comprehension but it still made her wonder. In the future she may press more, when the memory of getting into an argument after the kiss wasn't so fresh in their minds.

"Then we should go on this sleigh ride. Its not like the droid will be in the compartment with us. A small bit of freedom."

Typically it followed at a distance. Persephone didn't see why today wouldn't be any different.

Things had escalated fast. Faster than Lily had anticipated. Cerys had decided to make some snide comments, Zaiya was puzzled still on what was going on with the tent and then a stranger was demanding help in gift hunting for Lossa. She wondered on the connection to Lossa, though the Jedi Knight seemed to be on a gym arc, so anything that helped her to continue grow bulky would likely go down well. At least, Lily assumed that. Then Aris stepped in and gave a blunt comment on the tent.

"Yes, this is a tent that sells herbal medicines to help with performance in the bedroom Zaiya." Lily stated, affirming what Aris had stated to help Zaiya realise what was going on. She then looked over to Cerys, "I am wearing attire that befits someone of my class from Eshan. The chilly weather doesn't bother me since Eshan is constantly this cold if not colder." Lily stated in a cool tone, one that hinted that any disparaging comments made towards her attire would not be well received.

While Lily was wanting to build friendships, she would not stand to be insulted for how she chose to dress.

"Perhaps, we would do best exiting this tent and leaving the vendor to appeal to clients who actually need his assistance." Lily stated as she lifted a flap of the tent and exited the tent.

How's your life-day going?

She couldn't rightly recall if she had sent Zane an invite. Everything seemed to blend together with how miserable she had been feeling of late. Life days and galas had been interesting for her to say the least. Ruminating on all the past events as she swirled the champagne of her seventh flute idly.

Still yet to even catch the faint feeling of a buzz.

"Just one. Just one decent one, please."

She wouldn't be able to spend the time with her daughter. Wouldn't have the joyous memories of such a thing this time. And it burned her. Soured and already rotten mood as she wondered about where her little star might be. If she was okay. If she was being cared for at all.

Keeping herself tightly secured, she didn't let the emotions escape for even an instant.

Self loathing. Hatred. Rage. Despair. All of them swimming about in her head as she watched the lights across the lake twinkle and glimmer. The floating emotions that surrounded the area doing little to alleviate her mood. The reminder of not only her solitude, but failure as a mother ever present as she heard laughter and other sounds of joy flit across the air.

Her elbows dug into the stone railing, leaning hard as she simply watched everyone else enjoy their peaceful moments of bliss.

Briana's gaze followed the sound of Dreidi's voice, putting on the same practiced smile — a tad too forced — that she'd been wearing since they'd arrived. "Dreidi!" Briana exclaimed warmly, moving forward to wrap the woman in a brief hug, each fist still occupied by the empty glasses she'd yet to dispose of and resulting in a somewhat awkward gesture. "Feels like I haven't seen you in forever, and now look at you, you're —" Pulling away, her eyes dropped pointedly to the woman's rather round stomach. "Well, you're glowing."

The comment about her drinking earned a soft, one-note laugh that Briana attempted to wave off. "Just making sure the Naboo vineyards stay in business. Someone's got to do the hard work, right? Besides, I figure... it's life day. Who's counting?"

"I'm here to cheer on Aiden, heard he was going to sing and figured I needed to check that out." Dreidi smiled warmly.

With all of the subtly of a tusk cat in a ceramic shop, her eyes flicked between Dreidi's stomach and back to the stage where she watched Aiden Porte Aiden Porte begin to exit. Her lips twitched, genuine amusement curling at the edge. Aiden? Surely not, of all people...? she thought to herself. "I'm sure he'll appreciate the support."

Before she could say anything further on the subject of Aiden, Brandyn had reappeared, promptly looping his arm through hers. Briana leaned into him slightly, appreciative of the support, of his presence, though actively choosing to ignore the look he gave her. "Don't worry, there's still plenty to go around." Her cheeks had taken a rose to them as the effects of the champagne began to settle, leaving Briana feeling slightly warmer and a little more numb.

Blaire was next to make her arrival, late, but not fashionably.

Briana knew her sisters coping mechanisms well enough, having been subjected to them after the first Cataclysm, back when Bastila was still lying in a coma. There was no surprise then, that the makeup she'd helped apply and the hair she'd helped arrange, was all slightly askew. Most in the room would only see the disarray, Briana saw what was beneath the surface. Guilt crept in then, a sharp reminder of everything Blaire, and even Lossa, were carrying—far heavier burdens than not spending the holiday with your ex-fiancé.

"Glad to see you made it," she said, setting down both of her empty glasses on a passing tray and moving toward her sister. "Come here." Trying to draw as little attention to her sisters fashion fiasco, Briana removed her arm from her brother and went in for a sisterly hug, using the moment to discreetly zip the back of Blaire's dress for her, whispering, "Make sure you check the mirror next time." accepting her third champagne flute.

"And who is that?" She pointed toward the bar and the man sitting alone. He grin turning somewhat predatory.

Briana lifted the glass to her lips, following her sisters line of vision, and next likely conquest, which made Briana fix her with a look. This time, she took a measured sip. "I believe his name is Lorn, he's a new Knight at the Temple."

"Sorry, horrid manners, Briana, introduce me."

"Blaire this is Dreidi, Dreidi, this is my sister, Blaire. Dreidi and I used to attend Romi's Enclave together, back when Bran and I were Padawan's on Ossus. The two of us ran a couple of missions together in Coruscant's underworld."

Seeing the reactions of Briana and Brandyn caused her to chuckle, they were clearly stunned by the fact that she was pregnant. "Congratulations?" Dreidi decided to be a bit mischievous and play dumb on what Brandyn was congratulating her about. "Are you commenting on a woman's weight? Very un-noble of you Brandyn, after all this time, I thought Cybelle would have taught you better manners than that." She sounded stern and hurt in her voice, as if Brandyn had struck a sensitive chord with the Jedi Knight.

She then burst into laughter, unable to maintain the act for too long, giving a smirk to them all. "Thank you for the kind words, it was a surprise for me as well. But looking forward to seeing how motherhood will change me." Looking to Blaire, she gave a polite smile, nodding her head to the third Sal-Soren. "Pleasure to meet you Blaire. Hopefully you are enjoying the evening." She noted the slight disarray to the otherwise very well made noble woman.

"I best let you all catch up, seems Aiden is done with his singing and I better go tease him about it." She grinned to the trio before giving a small bow to each of the siblings and wondered if she would one day have a group of children dedicated to looking after one another like those three were.

Dreidi made her way over to Aiden and tapped him on his shoulder, "now, how could you not tell me that you are able to sing as well as all your other talents, mister!" Dreidi teased the other Jedi with a chuckle to her voice.

"Are you okay....." The server asked rather concerned after witnessing Aiden's face and the after effects.

The Jedi Padawan took a deep breath and nodded his head quickly. "Oh yes, my friend made a judgement about these. The more you drink the better they taste, or something like that. I respect him very much, but I think he is out of his mind."

Aiden could feel a warm feeling spreading throughout his body after the sudden influx of whiskey. He really hoped it didn't affect him like last time. He felt perhaps he would just leave it with two this time.

"now, how could you not tell me that you are able to sing as well as all your other talents, mister!"

He felt a tap on his shoulder and the voice and he showed a smile. "Dreidi!" And he couldn't help but giggle as well. "Are you kidding me?" He said while shaking his head, still smiling though. "I sounded awful, I thank my dad paid the younglings to clap for me so I wouldn't feel bad." Aiden looked back in the direction his dad had walked to.

"I wonder if he paid everyone who clapped....." He thought and just chuckled at the silly thought. "How are you?!" The young Jedi looked over and could see the Sal-Soren siblings. Good thoughts came to his mind as it was good to see them all together. Blaire was back, Brandyn was here. And Briana was their to lead them all. What more could one want.....

Aiden just then happened to glanced back and look down at Dreidi's stomach.

"Dreidi?!" Aiden said with a concerned look on his face. "What the heck is wrong with your stomach?! Are you....pregnant?!"

"Well he never paid me and I thought you sounded great!" Dreidi offered a warm smile, she gave him a warm hug and enjoyed the feel of being in his arms once more. It was a pleasant sensation that she rarely got to enjoy and a feeling that only Aiden truly brought to a hug, she found at least.

When they broke apart, he looked away from the Sal-Sorens and noticed her obvious pregnant belly. His exclaim was surprising and she questioned his intelligence a little. Did she really have a crush on a himbo?

Deciding to lean into it, "what?! Oh chit!" Dreidi exclaimed in panic as she looked down. "It wasn't like that a minute ago! Aiden! This might be like that alien creature in that holofilm that bursts out of people!" Dreidi had a panicked tone to her voice and giving her best performance, "what should we do?! I don't think I have long left!" Dreidi sounded on the verge of tears in the moment.

She then punched him firmly in shoulder, "of course I am pregnant. Don't go around carrying a growing child without noticing it!" Dreidi smirked widely.

Nora Laan

Prime Minister of New Cov
Objective: 1

This was Nora's first visit to Naboo. It was her first trip off of New Cov that she could remember, outside of a business jaunt with Joran. Her parents had taken her off world a few times, but she was too young to remember where they had gone or what it was like. Those were fun vacations, at least she could remember that much.

And now here she was on a date of sorts with a suave gentleman whose company she found herself looking forward to. There was somerhing about him that she couldn't quite put her finger on, however it just drew her in. Perhaps it was his eyes or the way that he smiled when she bargained with him on contracts. Or perhaps it was his shared love of whiskey. Either way, when the invitation to accompany him arrived, Nora could hardly refuse.

Dressed in a gorgeous blue gown dotted with some sparkling saphires, Nora hoped to maintain the aura and presence of a leader. For that is what she was. The newly elected Prime Minister of New Cov had her work cut out for her in navigating a shift in New Cov's government from corporate to democratic. Not to mention the recent discovery of an ancient city beneath the planet's Capital.

Yet tonight was not about any of that. Tonight was about Joran. At least in Nora's case.

She offered him an amused smile while he complained about the music selection before redirecting her to the bar. "I'm sure that the time will come when you will get to make the preperations. Now show me what whiskey that Naboo has to offer before we take a turn on the dance floor."

"Well he never paid me and I thought you sounded great!"

That was great news for him, then again he wondered if she was just saying that. But all was put at rest with the hug, a well needed hug. Aiden was indeed incredibly fond of her.

"what?! Oh chit!"

"What?! What's happening?!" Aiden responded quickly, standing up.

"It wasn't like that a minute ago! Aiden! This might be like that alien creature in that holofilm that bursts out of people!"
"what should we do?! I don't think I have long left!"

"Ah! Dreidi?! You know I haven't seen that holofilm yet?!" Aiden glanced around in desperation until he felt the hit to his arm.

"of course I am pregnant. Don't go around carrying a growing child without noticing it!"

"Aye?!" Aiden said with a laugh as he shook his head, rubbing the spot where he got hit. "Well send someone a message and let them know! I could've planned a party or something." The Jedi Padawa laughed as he pulled he in for another hug. "Congratulations my friends, I'm happy for you."

The server was cleaning a glass as he watched the entire ordeal go down. "What a moron...." He muttered under his breath, before pouring the young man two more shots.

"Hey guy, you could use two more of these. We should test out your friends statement."

Life Day had always held a special place in Reign's heart, he and his wife had made it a tradition to see as many different life day festivals as they could. From the Wookie homeworld of Kashyyk to Reign's own of Taris, they had traveled far and wide. But, in celebration of the newly announced engagement of his brother, it had been decided to come to his intended's homeworld to take part in their celebrations. It was an easy decision, on the few occasions the Diarch had been to Naboo on business, he had intended to come back and take his wife, knowing she would love the tranquility and astounding beauty of the planet.

In anticipation for the festivities, both Reign and Nocturne had visited their tailor on Cantonica, commissioning new robes. The Diarch wore black robes and a cape made of
shadowsilk which caused him to look more like a moving shadow, other than the bright Cantonican Gold accents of his robes, which shimmered dazzlingly in even the smallest amount of light,

His arm around his wife's waist, they walked admiring the lights and decor of the market, it had been too long since they were able to escape their responsibilities with the Diarchy and just be together as a married couple. Seeing her smile at the ornaments and life day gifts reminded the Diarch of the girl he had fallen in love with all those years ago, and he found himself not taking in the surroundings anymore but admiring Nocturne as she excitedly picked up different gifts to bring home to their daughters.

Smelling cooking food, Reign pulled his wife to a stand with roasted meats, saying
"I had tried this the last time we were in the system, it's delicious, let's grab some to share" as he paid the stall owner for the roasted Nerf.

As the couple walked back to their companions, the Diarch asked his future sister.
"When we have the time, please, show us more of what your planet has to offer? Everything I've seen of Naboo.. makes it hard to leave"

Walking a little further, he stopped by a stall where he had spied a book on the history of Life Day on Naboo.. thinking it would be perfect for his older daughter.

He had almost forgotten the youth they had brought with them, mostly left to her own devices, but Nocturne's apprentice had joined them, being advised that this trip into a "high society" function would help with her training.

The sullen teen had trailed several feet behind the rest of the party, close enough to be on call for her master, but far enough that she didn't seem to be with the older people

to keep the oaths of old
There was too much going on. It was almost impossible keep up with the sheer embarrassment of it all. Cerys felt as though it would better to have crawled into the Theed sewer system than to be here...in this place...right now.

But of all the horror that spilled out of people's mouths. Of all the innocent, awkward queries, and all of the outright declarations, one statement drew Cerys' ire more than all the others.

"Well, Cerys Dyn, the fact you're in this stall, looking at goods for vitality and stamina in the bedroom, is probably proof positive that whatever man wants anything to do with you, is not actually attracted to you, because you hate yourself so much you can't possible show him any love."

She had slapped him before she had fully understood his words. She just knew based on the tone of his voice, that he was being a complete and utter ass. When the words finally sunk in, she slapped him again.

Eyes wide, and mouth in a taut line, Cerys bore holes through his head with her eyes. The same eyes then flicked to Zaiya. "Well. Everyone at the training balcony the other day thought you and your not friend that is a boy...were in love," Cerys spat out. I hadn't been everyone. I had only been the one person she had conversed with.

"And you..." Cerys said, fixing her righeous indignation on Lily, "should be ashamed of yourself culture or no..."

"You are all abhorrent. Hormone driven. Attachment mad. Embarrassments to the name Jedi!"
She blurted, instantly regretting life as a whole.

She pulled her hood tightly around her face in embarrassment. Without another word, Cerys pushed past the handsome white-haired guy, and speed walked her way towards the outer edge of the market.

"Hey...Bleh-bleh," he said, invoking his childhood nickname for the youngest of the triplets. He mouthed some words about a zipper and then backed away a little for Briana to deal with the matter.

Watching the interaction between Aiden and Dreidi just made him chuckle happily. Why those two were not together, Brandyn would never understand. She was patient but also willing to tease. He was easily feasible and had so much love to give. But Brandyn assumed by the confirmed pregnancy that any relationship was most likely off the table now.

When Briana was done with assisting Blaire, Brandyn spun about on his heels and pulled both of their arms to him, as his wrapped about theirs. "This is the way it was always meant to be," he said quietly, "I am so sorry it took so long for me to catch up."

He leaned over and kissed Blaire on the side of the head.

"I am going to come over tomorrow...I want at least an hour holding each of my nieces," he whispered, "for now...you should totally go talk to Lorn. He is a really great guy...not the...trip and fall into type."

"Naboo's culture is rich. It's people bold and expressive. It has been said that Nabooian tapestries alone could make the planet a cultural icon," she said, before squeezing Rellik's arm and looking up into his eyes, "but I have been known for my bias in the past."

The show of affection was easy to put forth, for Rellik pulled it from her with such ease. It was unexpected, not unwelcome in some ways but then in other secret ways it was most unwelcome indeed.

The aroma of home filled her heart with memories. Even as she stepped over multiple freshly melted puddles, she found herself ruing the choice of a longer dress. She could have done with keeping the hem of her dress off the ground a little more.

"You all must really find this one stall....hand craft ornaments for your decorations at home. Perhaps one for our first Life Day, my dear?" She said to Rellik.

Lazily passing through crowds of people on this prestigious holiday, Orion rested his hands inside the pockets of his coat. A robust body like his and years of training made certain uncomfortable temperatures far more tolerable. Well, that and his non-Jedi attire was a bit more insulated than the standard fare. Never hurt to keep his clothing free from getting waterlogged by the snowfall.

Usually, Orion would spend the Life Day festivities alone. Perhaps with family, if he felt inclined towards not spending the holidays alone. But this year, Orion had a different idea in mind. To perpetuate his image and reputation as a easygoing and wisecracking individual, Orion planned on visiting as many planets as he could for each Life Day event. A few hours here, a few there. Experience as much culture as he could on his galactic road trip.

His unique idea of spending Life Day (or perhaps days).

However, an instinct told him to visit this planet first on his trip around the galaxy. Opening his mouth and sticking his tongue out, Orion caught small snowflake on his tongue, smiling at the sensation before returning his attention to the marketplace surrounding him. The snow was beautiful this year, sparkling like it only could in Naboo's lights. Each planet's lights made the ice light up, refracting all the colors to delight and amaze the senses. Orion's eyes glowed in this light before his distraction came to an end.

As Cerys Dyn Cerys Dyn bumped into him, hood drawn down to cover her face.

Raising his arms but not sure what to do with his hands yet, Orion just made sure the Togruta woman in front of him did not trip or fall, "Sorry, I didn't see you there."

His eyes snapped to a familiar color and face. Lily Decoria Lily Decoria . Wait, were those other padawans? And why were they at one of the aphrodisiac tents? Orion raised an eyebrow before removing the expression from his face with a shake of his head.

Whatever they were doing, it was their business. He did not care nor did he need to put his analytical mind to work deducing what was going on.

"Sleigh rides are that direction, if you want to get away from everything," Orion pointed, sensing there was a certain embarrassment in the way the woman before him carried herself.

Then, he simply stepped to the side to aid and allow her escape. Not like he could do much more, for the time being.

The whiskey, potent and sharp, did little to dull the gnawing loneliness. He watched the easy camaraderie of the other guests, the laughter rippling through the hall like the shimmering fabric of their gowns. Once, he'd had that. A circle of friends, a found family forged in the crucible of shared hardship and near-death experiences. Those memories, usually a comfort, felt like a cruel mockery tonight. This opulent celebration, meant to be a testament to survival, highlighted his own isolation. How pathetic, he thought, to feel this hollow ache on Life Day.

He needed to change that. Katherine Holt Katherine Holt , the only person he had met so far, wasn't here. He'd have to make a new connection, force himself into this gathering. He scanned the room again, his gaze lingering on various clusters of people. Then, he spotted them – a small group near the far edge of the room. He recognized a couple of faces: Sal-Sorens, the family that ran the temple where he now resided. Their gazes, he noticed with a prickle of unease, kept drifting towards him. Were they whispering about him? Analyzing his attire? He knew his clothes, though presentable, lacked the effortless elegance of the others.

The thought sent a fresh wave of anxiety through him. He nervously adjusted his tunic, smoothing down the wrinkles that had appeared despite his best efforts. This was it. No more hiding in the shadows. He downed the remaining whiskey, leaving a generous tip on the bar, a small act of defiance against the creeping self-doubt.

He approached the group, heart hammering a frantic rhythm against his ribs. He could feel their eyes on him, assessing, judging. He offered a slight bow, the gesture practiced but still feeling clumsy.

"Good evening," he said, his voice a little steadier than he'd expected. "I don't think we've properly introduced ourselves. Lorn Reingard. I wanted to thank you all for allowing me space at your temple." The words felt formal, stiff, but they were the best he could manage.

He extended his hand, offering a genuine smile that hopefully masked the tremor of uncertainty. He made a point of offering his hand to each member of the group, hoping his actions spoke more confidently than his words. The simple act of shaking their hands, of making direct contact, felt like a small victory against his own isolation. He held his breath, waiting, hoping that this small gesture might be the start of something more. A beginning to a new chapter, a new circle of friends to fill the echoing emptiness within him.
