FESTIVAL OF STARS
A Life Day Celebration
Once a year, on every Life Day, the planet of Naboo passes through the Solari Belt, an expanse of crystalline debris left behind by a shattered comet that's existed since the beginning of galactic memory. As the planet moves through this belt, the tiny crystals left behind from the comet ignite as they come into contact with the atmosphere, creating a dazzling display of shimmering, multicolored streaks of light shooting across the sky.
While the entire planet celebrates this awe-inspiring celestial event, many off-world visitors and residents make their way to the mountain village of Dee'ja Peak to witness the event from up close. In preparation of this, this quaint village spends weeks in advance transforming itself into a winter wonderland, inviting all who come to experience the stunning phenomena while enjoying the rich, cultural traditions of this joyous festivity beneath a radiant, star-filled sky.
Oh, What Fun
The Kaadu Sleigh Ride is a treasured festival tradition, inviting participants to experience the serene beauty of Dee'ja Peak in all its snowy splendor. Sleighs, drawn by graceful Kaadu, follow winding trails adorned with light-wrapped trees and glide across frozen streams. The ride culminates at the summit of Varyyne, a stunning vantage point where the falling stars can be best seen cascading across the sky. Many couples, old and new, cherish this experience and often exchange tokens of affection and heartfelt promises once they reach the summit.
A Sentimental Feeling
Dee'ja Peak has been transformed into a lively hub of activity for the Festival of Stars, with lantern-lit streets filled with music, laughter, and the mouthwatering scents of Naboo delicacies. Visitors and locals are invited to wander through the bustling Marketplace, showcasing unique treasures such as handcrafted ornaments, glowing crystal pendants, and even "authentic" celestial crystals claimed to have been harvested from the Solari Belt—though sharp-eyed shoppers might spot a few clever imitations. Food stalls line the streets, offering mouthwatering treats like spiced nerf wraps, roasted lakeberries, and warm mulled cider, creating a festive atmosphere perfect for exploration and celebration.
Her Blessings Flow
In celebration of the Festival of Stars and Life Day, the Queen of Naboo has graciously invited the public to the opened doors of her exclusive mountain retreat, a breathtaking estate nestled just beyond Dee'ja Peak. Guests are invited to feast in the opulent Grand Hall, adorned with glimmering crystal chandeliers and floral arrangements, where a decadent five-course meal featuring traditional delicacies like spiced traladon, lakeberry tarts, and aged nerf cheese awaits. Those seeking merriment can dance the night away in the elegant ballroom, featuring a live string quartet to twirl your heart out to beneath a domed ceiling that's been outfitted with shimmering, star-like projections.
