Ardgal Raxis
More than a Man

Intent: To make a round for RMIA's soldier's slug thrower rounds and fill the mass-produced for RMIA's tier up
Development Thread: If Needed
Manufacturer: Raxis Mercenaries and Independant Arms
Model: Fireball Incendiary Ammunition
Affiliation: Raxis Mercenaries and Independant Arms
Modularity: Moderate; the the Fireball rounds are made for a variety of calibers.
Production: Mass Produced
Material: Durasteel, gunpowder, Detonite, copper
Strengths:
++Armor Piercing: While the writer of this sub is not intending to call damage, or say that his weapon is able to cut through all armor like butter, he can accurately say per this that Incendiary Ammunition is made to pierce armor.
++Damaging electronics: When the Fireball round pierces through the metal armor, it does increased damage to electronic components it damages due to small explosion.
Weaknesses:
--Expensive: This bullet costs twice as much as the average full metal Jacket slug thrower round. As such... Its not one to waste on "spray and pray."
--Reduced range: This bullet has an effective range of 2/3rds of the range of a "normal" slug thrower round. This is due to the bullet's increased size slowing it down and making it go effectively shorter.
Description:
In the world of slug throwers, the most basic components are the round and the firearm. Of course, there have many advancements when it comes to the firearm, however there have been a tragically large lack in the advancement of Slug thrower rounds, considering the vast number that exist, and their existence as one of the best anti-force user weapons in existence.
To equip their soldiers, RMIA has engineered a solution to this problem. The Fireball Ammunition is hardly anything innovative; even a Marine Grunt could figure it out. The durasteel tip of the ammo round that is normally fired at the enemy has been hollowed out. In its center a few grams of detonite have been stored. Any more and the explosive's critical mass would be an issue, any less and you really wouldn't get much bang for your buck (Pun intended). Upon contact to armor, the small amount of explosive in the bullet round adds an extra layer of kinetic punch--along with 1,000 Fahrenheit/537 Celsius (Note that human skin is destroyed on contact at 160* F and Iron melts at 2,800 F/1,538 C). Of course, consecutive rounds (gradually) will raise the temperature of the area impacted. However, if someone is intending to melt armor or such like this, it should be noted this is highly impractical, especially considering a thermal detonator generally does so with ease.
All in all, while this bullet does more damage than your average slug thrower round, it also has a reduced range, and is too expensive to practically consider "spraying and praying" which may seem to favor over more surgical and strategic uses of ammunition.
