"I suspect this is more of a case of using Force-speed while swimming for the average Jedi from a human/Near-Human species. Now, since you know how to swim, the outstanding question is whether you know Force-speed"

Because [member="Tharr Hei"] met with Varindar in the middle of the gutter lane, she'd rather slip underneath the lane divider to get out of the lap swimming lane, so as to not disturb the other guests using the lap swimming lane as they swam their laps. Understandably, he was slower, and he was wowed by just how fast Varindar did, in fact, swim backstroke, much as past guests that were somehow part of the Order's activities. Now, she has gotten better in that stroke, but freestyle was even faster for her. Just that Varindar knew that current affected the speed at which one swam, the distance to the shore, and also the depth of the body of water. Plus her heart was still beating pretty fast, but that was one of the consequences of swimming at that speed. And of using Force-speed if she was using it. But since Zabraks had two hearts, then it would probably be easier for him to get up to speed once he could find a way to adapt Force-speed for waterborne use. Because she knew one's metabolism gets much faster when Force-speed is in use, and one would get tired after a while.

"I do realize that it isn't straightforward to apply Force-speed in the water if you learned Force-speed on land, but that's pretty much how you could end up swimming as fast as I did"

Do or not do, there is no try
"Actualy I do know how to force speed on land, but there I'm using my legs for it, not my arms and legs. I think I just need to try it out right?"

He said as he swom with his teacher next to him.
At the beginig he was a bit confused since his legs where already in force speed and his arms not, but slowly he begun to coordinate his members and aply the same speed. Finaly he reached almost the same speed as [member="Varindar Asyt"] and thogether they swom a few laps arround the pool.

And yet, [member="Tharr Hei"] made it through... somehow. Varindar was pleased to see someone make progress with the Force while in the pool. Once there was some evidence that progress was, in fact, made, then she could continue to swim some laps in that lane, using freestyle this time. These other guests in that gutter lane were simply unable to keep up with the two of them, but they started to suspect that maybe the hotelier was using the pool for training other Jedi, which meant to them that they couldn't doubt her Jedi-hood any longer. Or, at the very least, her Force-sensitivity. As much as using pyro/cryokinesis for cooking was fine and dandy, it was easier to hide from the guests than Force-speed since the kitchen was mostly hidden from the guests' view. But that's perhaps why Varindar has come to cover the extra hours when cooks called in sick. Even then, for some reason, the rôtisseurs were the ones that called in sick the most, despite her actual role in the kitchen being a tournant, so she would be needed at any station normally manned by someone that called in sick.

"What makes Force-speed not entirely straightforward to transfer from a land use to a water use is the need to also have the Force accelerate the metabolism in the arms. Also, if you used Force-speed while immobile you'd then have a Force-powered means to keep warm. Not that it would be of much use on Trandosha, but if you went on, say, Ilum, then it could become useful"

"That's good to know, there are some planets where that skill will come in handy, and maybe even in planets where the nights are cold."

Tharr was happy, he learnef a bunch of new Force powers, how to cook without fire and hed made a new friend that could always teach him more when he needed.
They swom a few more laps and stopped when they got exauhsted. They got out of the pool to get dressed again.
After they left the changing rooms they met again in the hotel lobby.

"Thank you for your time and patience Knight Asyt. I hope to see you again soon."

So she tried to get a few extra laps in, in no particular stroke order, before the time has come to say goodbye to the new guest of the day. As much as she knew the voyeurism of some of the guests that seemingly went there for looking at other guests' bodies, she was pretty used to it, and especially those Trandoshan guests that seemed to be there mostly to look at female bodies. Sure, Trandoshans' opinions were mixed, in that it was either human/Near-Human females were pretty with few exceptions (typically deformities that qualify for infirmities) or ugly with few exceptions, depending on who you ask. Tharr might have appreciated being at the hotel for a pyrokinetic free lunch, all things came to an end. She hoped to see him at the hotel once again, and may he cherish that day at a five-star hotel. Just that it took a while for Varindar to get dressed once again; she needed to wash herself, and also to dry out her hair, as usual after swims, before she could finally get her clothes back on. Once she did, she returned back to the front desk and greet the Zabrak Jedi on his way out of the property:

"Thank you, and have a nice day"
