"All right"

She knew it was not going to be instant, far from it. Mustering her concentration was one thing, clearing out her mind from distractions was another. Now that Varindar took a deep breath to clear her mind of conscious thought prior to undertaking the second repetition, she found it much easier this time around to get the invisible hand of the Force to grip the stone around, slowing it down so that she could Force-catch it; once she made the Force-powered catch with her invisible hand, now was the time for her to extend her invisible arm outward, at a much more natural pace than last time, so that she could deposit the Force-grabbed stone onto [member="Morse Sunrider"]'s hand. Much better, perhaps I am on the right track after all, she thought, once the stone was back in Morse's hand, while realizing that, perhaps, she might have been much better at using the Force at enhancing her own physical performances or perception than for outward projection. But she knew she needed at least some measure of both to make it as a Jedi and to use the Force to better serve the guests.

She was watching it and could feel the padawan thinking. It was easier to read surface thoughts.. projecting them whenever you focused and she seemed to be over thinking parts of it. "Keep you mind clear of thoughts. Your body will know how to react, the force will guide you padawan. THinking about it will only serve to limit you and what you can do." She moved finally and was leaving each stone hovering there for a moment. Going for a look when she circled around her. "Much like a game of push feather a padawan is trained in mental abilities early. Once you knwo how to feel and manipulate the force then you can begin to understand the rest of its uses"

Ouch. For some reason something went awry last time, but this time around, Varindar was no longer making any conscious thought, based on teachings and feedback from [member="Morse Sunrider"]. With those teachings in tow, she went for another rep, this time around, letting herself feel the flow of the Force through her body. Once again, she found it prudent to start with one stone, where she dragged that stone towards her right hand, as if tractored, and then proceeded to immobilize the first stone before she could then return it back to Morse's hand. She could feel her body being capable of handling one stone in the same fashion from her left arm, and so she went around repeating the same exercise with her left arm, tractoring, with some effort, the second stone, back and forth between Morse's hands, with a carefully controlled dose of light-sided power, at controlled speeds in each attempt. Now it was clear that the Force flowed well through her body, well enough to be lifting stones that size, to the extent it was possible given her skill in the Force. And then came the good part...

[member="Varindar Asyt"]

Morse focused, lowering her arms as she crossed them over her chest allowing the force to work and hold the stones. "Better, see how long you can go. We want stamina and power which will require this training session to go on longer." She said it and offered a look over at some of it before flicking her eyes around the area. More rocks hovering and lifting to go around herself. Morse was focusing, letting the force energies radiate out from herself to hover the rocks, to lift and return them towards her padawan. She wasn't going to admit that there was a couple things she still needed to work on. Her thoughts were different until she nodded her head in some approval.

Stamina, power were crucial items to [member="Morse Sunrider"]; Varindar saw that there were several rocks that were fair game to her to attempt the same exercise on. This time around, she went through the motions but with both hands performing the drill on different stones. Once again she went around performing the drill with two separate stones, with her Force-energy reserves declining as she performed those drills. Just that she picked stones of a similar size to those she used last time, and soon the stones were being attracted to her hands, once again being able to stop the stones from touching her hands, using the Force. Now that the stones were held in the air by Varindar using the Force on those, she kept a steady pace in putting those stones back into their original positions. Steadiness was key at that stage, both in the progress Varindar seemed to be making and in the stones' return to their original positions; once the stones were put back in their original positions, the padawan was just releasing her Force-grip, and putting her arms back to their natural positions afterward.

Good she was doing better and learning as Morse kept her arms crossed and spoke. "Well done." She knew she could come off as harsh but she only channeled her inner Vrook because he was one of the big things about the holocron. Nomi and Vima both knew the master and he worked to make sure that they were talented and skilled jedi. SO she walked around the padawan taking some of the interest. "Now that your mind is less clouded and distracted the force is starting to flow naturally within you. So we are going to make it harder, focus inward. Look to yourself and feel the force enter your body. Feel it come with the air that you breathe in and then exhale. Feel it filling your lungs and then going throughout your body to revitalize your.

So [member="Morse Sunrider"] would be led to think that the Force was, in fact, a nutrient that enters the FU's bloodstream via the respiratory system? Varindar thus proceeded to take deep breaths, and sooner than later, she found herself with her heartbeat slowing down, as she feels the Force enter her airways, and then her lungs, and then enter her body through her bloodstream. Once she feels the Force enter her bloodstream, she also feels the Force going everywhere in her body, especially in those areas that were used most when she went around on that telekinesis drill: her arms, her head (and, on the last count, her mind). With each breath she could feel her Force-capacitors steadily charging, and her blood circulation energizing her, both her body and her spiritual energy. In fact, she was very sensitive to how the Force flowed in her bloodstream, and also to her blood circulation in general. In fact, she could feel her bloodstream being more fluid thanks to the Force, and hence energy is flowing more easily through her body at her current heart rate, which is pretty close to her resting rate.

Morse was watching her and remained in place as she brought a hand up. her focus and energy on the pack as it shifted. bulging and opening up to reveal a training remote. Thick and with a quicksilver like covering of microcrystals. The Rekali sphere was made for training padawans or any of the jedi as it was testing itself and cycling weapons. With the rylith power cell and the sun it would be able to maintain itself for now as she spoke. "This ia rekali training sphere, able to test you on a number of different things from perception of finding cloaked beings to deflecting slugs with the force, catching energy bolts and knowing how to handle dangerous situations."

"Will that require me to use my training lightsaber?" she asked.

Now that her body was fully charged with the Force, she could undergo another lesson, one that which required the use of a training sphere, apparently, judging by the little spherical apparatus [member="Morse Sunrider"] just raised using a remote that she saw around the temple. She knew it could be used for lightsaber training, but whether or not it would be used for that purpose will require her to draw her training lightsaber she wasn't sure, but she had it ready to be drawn at a moment's notice. And yet, as much as she would like to learn as much as she possibly can, not knowing oneself well enough can cause problems. She stood at attention, with her lightsaber drawn in a noisy snap-hiss, ready to begin lightsaber training if so was the goal of the next drill, but ready to deactivate it if it wasn't. Close to the belt, close to her body, with the blade pointing towards the training sphere. Then again, she would feel the Force, going in and out of her body, even though she did not actively use it. She also stood ready to use the Force if it was necessary for the next drill, so she wouldn't be unprepared.

Morse looked at her while the sphere was moving around. "Did I say it would?" She looked at the padawan and spoke to the sphere. "Tutaminis training initite level." She said it and then turned her head back. "One of the first lessons a jedi should learn is how to channel and handle energy. As I said catching bolts will help you defend yourself without the need to draw your saber. That should be the last thing you do in any situation." She waited and moved as the sphere was hovering round with the blaster visible. It waited moving to the left and then the right then higher before it fired at her and Morse raised her hand catching the blast to her hand as blue fire swished acorss like waves of fire. She could feel the energy even as a low impact before she looked at Jessica. "You'll stop the blaster bolts coming at you with your hand and concentrate on focusing the energy, channeling it into your body."

Tutaminis was the goal instead, which was clear when another padawan entered the scene, much younger than Varindar, going by the name of Jessica - which Morse probably interacted with in the past, probably sent to Morse by her master. Or because her master booked a room in there, in which case the master checked in without the padawan noticing. Oh well, it was nice of [member="Morse Sunrider"] to let both Varindar and Jessica know that it was about tutaminis, with both girls being bamboozled; they both expected to be learning lightsaber technique, especially since they knew that relying on the Force had its limits. So Varindar deactivated her lightsaber, and then pointed her hands in the direction of the remote, while taking good care to attempt predicting the movements of said remote. Once the remote fired its blaster payload, she focused on her hand forming a Force-powered ray shield in front of it and, as the bolt is being absorbed, she feels her body heating up, to the extent a blaster bolt on stun setting could contain enough energy to do so on her.

[member="Varindar Asyt"]

She was watching the padawan and kept her arms crossed while she moved to the side. "Better, again and this time improve your reaction speeds." She said it and moved away from the sphere while they were recharging and getting fresh supply packs for the blasters. Morse had a few ideas of what she was going to want to do, she had a method here until she was letting the jedi padawan learn how to protect herself with the force so she could augment her own abilities until she needed it. "Tutaminis is important to a number of techniques including saber training. Once you learn how to redirect energy to help yourself I can start to show you how to channel it for speed and reflexes with a blade to keep yourself from losing a limb."

Even though Varindar feels, deep down inside her, ulcerated to hear Morse insinuate that she was unable to channel the Force for speed and reflexes, because she used the Force for that purpose in the races held at the hotel's pool, she thought keeping quiet was better here, and not just because it was off-topic for the time being. Maybe [member="Morse Sunrider"] failed to realize that Varindar was, to an extent, already using Force-speed/agility for swimming, or otherwise doesn't know about how the Ta'jar Blood Gang exploited her in the pool while she was still Ta'jar property. A champion she might have been back then, perhaps, but a puppet all the same. Then again, Jessica, right next to Varindar, was having more trouble with reflexes than Varindar had. Just that she was better-prepared when the next bolt came: she was much faster in getting to the bolt, and then, unlike simply absorbing it with the Force, as was previously the case, she was able to reflect it in the direction of the remote. And hence she didn't feel her body heat up as much as was the case last time. Her neighbor, on the other hand, was more concerned about dodging the bolt than absorbing it, much less reflecting it, yet, it was a marked improvement on Jessica's first attempt, as Jessica did, in fact, absorb the energy from the blaster bolt coming her way.

Morse was watching her and motioning for her to continue as the droids were getting reloaded. "Now move your training sabers and hold them in the jedi ready stance." She was looking at it while she ad her arms crossed and finished loading the droids with new power cells. Where all of them drones were moving around. "Your reflexes will be important, if you think you are going to be hit and can't deflect, catch the shot. THen use it to move faster understood." Morse said the last mostly because she had been observing she needed to be very clear and direct with this padawan. Next time maybe it would be different but she wouldnt' worry about that for now.

With [member="Morse Sunrider"] having recharged the lightsabers, now was the time for both Varindar and Jessica to ignite their practice lightsabers, with the Jedi-ready stance and the noisy snap-hiss that went along for the ride, while also readying their off-hands for when they would need to be catching shots using tutaminis. Now was time to get Varindar to learn how to use a lightsaber for deflecting blaster shots and other weapons that can be deflected by a lightsaber blade. So far it appeared to be more about reading the remote's movements, and then poof! She was able to send back the blaster bolts with the lightsaber as if they were baseballs, with quick, Force-powered motions as appropriate to perform such a trick; this was one area where both her and her neighbor were able to perform pretty much equally. Just that, unlike tutaminis, the bolts were flying a little away from both them and the remote. Most of them harmlessly dissipated in the air; she had to thank her flexibility gained in the pool for that result, for not having to catch the shot using tutaminis; it made using her lightsaber much easier.

[member="Varindar Asyt"]

She was watching now and there was a moment of mild impression forming. She wasn't going to say it was perfect or that it was a skilled technique but she was learning and starting to at least look like a jedi. Morse thought about her own training with Cynna as they were helping the legacy of the Sunriders dynasty. It was not exactly easy to follow the aunt, she was family by marriage to her cousin. They had a decent sized family but a force dynasty was not something you played around with and refined works and teaching. She waited there and was moving. "Good, you are doing better and you seem to be less distracted at least. Continue the lesson for now and form your movements into a kata that you can do and get faster and faster."

A kata... or a stance. A position within a lightsaber form. While she wasn't destined to be a lightsaber jockey, she just kept learning one specific lightsaber form for a specific purpose. [member="Morse Sunrider"] and her lightsaber training methods were perhaps geared more towards Soresu, and the blaster bolts fired by the remote were aimed at various areas on both girls' bodies, such as their feet, their cores, their arms and also their heads. And also here it was clear as day that Varindar and Jessica were both girls that were able to keep up with each other. They were able to deflect blaster bolts at higher speeds, with the result that most of these bolts once again dissipated harmlessly in the air around the hotel. And yet, the ability to deflect blaster bolts at such speeds was such that each of the resulting katas was short-lived at most, and that they demanded the blade and, with it, the body, to be almost constantly in movement. Probably for good reason, and yet Varindar could feel her Force-energy consumption increase as the demands for agility goes up, with the same scene being played out in Jessica as well.

[member="Varindar Asyt"]

Morse continued to watch them she was going over and looking at the movements that they were doing. The jedi master herself had prepared for the lessons to go on for awhile but she seemed to be making it quite well once they got past the whole questioning thing or confusion. Morse was able to let them continue and she was mentally preparing the next part of the lesson to work on it, winth the holocron on her hip she could check in with Vima or Nomi or any of the sunriders who knew a great deal more but she wanted to work on this for herself. She wanted to allow the force to guide her in the training of this student. "Better, keep it up and improving. I want you to be able to move and protect yourself on reflex without having to think about it."

And now the total firing rate of those blasters increased so as to simulate the combined firing rate of a fireteam at rapid-fire rates (ca. 70-80 rounds per minute total), aiming and firing at various parts of the two paddies' bodies. By now Varindar, and also the younger Jessica were both letting themselves acting based on reflex, which allowed them to increase their agility, and, in turn, their ability to deflect blaster bolts using their respective lightsabers. Their movement speed increased and, with it, their reflexes; that helped them move around from one bolt to another, and more bolts dissipated into the hotel's area above the parking lot, much to their delight. So feel, don't think was a very real thing for them by now, with [member="Morse Sunrider"] preparing the next stage of the lesson nearby.
