Admiral Walsh of the fourth Fleet was happy to see the Omega Pyre fleet drop in. His hundreds of Interceptors and fighters began to engage the imperial's as the Adjudicator deployed its fighters. He loved to play the game, and since his fleet was guarding the facility, and there was just one capital ship attacking, and Omega Pyre was here , John didn't see how he was going to lose. Turbolasers began to belt the Abjudicator, as it neared his fleet, and he prepared his gunships and bombers, the moment the shields were down he had plans. His own Frigates, Corvettes, and other escort vessels began to pound away at the Abjudicator. He wished the ship luck against his whole fleet, and the defenses of the G99 facility as its own turbolasers let go at the abjudicator and its fighters.

The fight was on, and John's fighters and interceptors were faster and deadlier than your average republic one. He had made certain modifications mandatory. It was going to be a marvolous fight as the fleet ripped into the Abjudicator and it's fighters.

Calm. Breath in, breath out.

Siting quietly, A'dele came to focus on her breathing to keep her concentration on point. She drew a breath, felt it's cool air turn warm as it flowed up her nostrils and then spilled into her lungs. From there the slow steady beating of her heart gave her a tempo; Yes.

The Force was able to process and extremely large amount of combat data; like a sheet of vinesilk, it flowed and fluttered across all. From her position, she could feel the subtle disturbances like a spider lying in wait in her intricate web. A tiny pull of a thread would vibrate through that fabric; pulling, snaring, and tugging as it was transferred into mental stimuli. Stimuli that the Zabrak then used to plan the most efficient and logical course of action in the battle to come.

This was how she came to notice the other in the midst. The tiniest of vibrations; the slide of another's mind at the very edge of her mental sphere.

Curious.

There was a slight furrow of her brow. Like sonar, the call she made came back, pinning against the other Force's user's aura. They came back in tiny waves that only grew larger as they came closer ... closer... ahh..

Within the depths of her mind she could feel them. Not one; but two. Another who was pouring their energy to strengthen the One. There was something about it though; dark, twisted, and writhing with empathic traces, like the remnants of blood stained floors after a thorough scrubbing. One could try and wash it through, but they would always be there. The taint; no matter how much one desired otherwise.

Sith.

It was enough to push back A'dele's influence over the nearest of the Empire's forces to her. Like withering grass after their life essence being sucked dry, so did A'dele's influence over the Empire's starfighters.

None the less, that did not stop the Zabrak from refocusing her energy and instead concentrating her all on the Republic forces now.

Battle meditation could be the gift that kept on giving, depending of course, on the user and the environment as well as any other stimuli in the area. By using the sensory battle data gathered by the Force, she mentally encouraged herself. Here she manipulated that energy, that aura, those very tendrils in the fabric of the force to fill herself with the energy in a positive way; one that encouraged her and produced images of victory.

Through these images of victory in all the manners that the Republic could win this fight, her confidence in the fight would grow substantially, and in turn would grow within the hearts of her Republic brethren.

From here, it was simply logic. With more confidence, A'dele would be calmer and more at peace, allowing her greater control and mastery over the morale of those she was responsible for, the fight in itself, the Force, and herself.

This would also mean that there was a less likelihood of her opponent finding an emotional weakness to exploit.

So through the Force, A'dele began to read the changing flow of the current, mapping them in her mind, manipulating the very strands into a new sphere of energy. Within the depths of her mind, she imagined the strands winding round like string, twisting and weaving them into a new form, projecting a possitive battle scenario in regards to the starfighters moving towards position. Here she pictured the asteroid fields, mapping them in her head.

She needed to see the path from which they would move; their trajectory. Where they would go, what path, and just how it would affect the starfighters. In her mind, she paved the safest way, giving reassurance and confidence to those pilots.

To trust in the Force.

Stepping over the bodies of the fallen Verpine, Darth Apparatus followed the trail @[member="Mikhail Shorn"] left behind. His presence on the asteroid was unexplained - whether he arrived just a little bit ago or had been there all along.

Shortly after his dangerous presence could have been felt, Darth Apparatus turned a corner and appeared before Mihail and the gathered Jedi - @[member="Phylis Alince"] and @[member="Ankh'su'namun"]. His eyes glanced at @[member="Ardak Serifen"] for a moment, then turned to the decoy of the Verpine Chairman that supported the Republic.

One of the guards shot at the Sith Lord. To finish his entrance, Darth Apparatus drew and ignited a crimson lightsaber and deflected the bolt in a single, fluid motion. The blast flew back into the head of the Verpine that fired it.

Eldoc, hated space... it reminded him of other things.. but here he was again, about to engage the enemies of the sith empire, this time the republic. He couldn't wait to work again at repaying his debt. He hated owing people. He was a little sad, that he wasn't working with Velok again but this was his job, to do the will of the Empress. He awaited the time to debark and make the way via spacesuit to the vault.

Behind Moridin another figure appeared, walking behind the man with a look of what could only be described as pure glee on his face. He did not bother stepping over the bodies, and instead walked on them with loud crunches one after another. Moridin seemed to be entirely buzzing with excitement as he walked up behind Apparatus, his hands were twitching slightly and his whole body seemed to be vibrating with absolute glee.

This was war, true war and Moridin could feel it in the air. This was his home, battle. This was where he felt most comfortable with himself and his own strength. Here he was a god among men, here he could not be stopped. He could feel the death, the failing hope, the absolute desperation of those caught within the mix, and he loved it. The Dreadlord was so very happy, it was impossible to say if anyone had ever seen him like this before but when compared to Apparatus he seemed to be a direct opposite.

"War. War is what i crave, and war is what i have been brought." His words seemed to hang within the air, they broke the very ozone around him. He spoke to no one in particular, but his glee was more than evident as he spewed the words like a snake.

Actually, the two ships matched up in firepower quite nicely. Where the Starfall only had quad turbolasers, the Adjudicator had Heavy Turbolasers. Quite a distinct difference. In fact, the Pellaeon-class by sheer number of heavy batteries was nearly out of the Starfall's weightclass. Octuple batteries were not quite so fearsome as they might sound. They opened fire on the bridge of the Adjudicator. Green lancets of energy spat against the shields, illuminating space in massive explosions of plasma. On the bridge of the Pellaeon-class, Seth had left Captain Dirk in charge.

"They're firing on our bridge Captain!"

"I can damn well see that. What do they think this is, the Executor? We've got fething loads of shields to protect our bridge. Probably the safest place on the ship. Damned idiots. Is that an asteroid they're throwing at us?"

The bridge crew watched the asteroid float lazily through space, tossed by a single tractor beam. It was vaporized by a turbolaser, fractured into a hundred pieces, which continued to float lazily about. Tractor beams do not operate in such a manner as to launch an asteroid at high velocity. Much less yank a large one with any significant power.

"Fire the advanced mass drivers and give em hell. Aim for those octuple batteries. All turbolaser batteries, do the same! I want everything firing on their weapon systems. They think they're something fancy? We'll blow it straight to hell."

The bridge rocked from sustained fire, but the shields held. Power was diverted from engines to forward shields as the two ships began to slug it out. From the Adjudicator a swarm of missiles fired. Sixteen proton torpedoes sped forth, accelerated to thirty percent their usual speed and range. They headed straight for the octuple batteries. As did the sustained fire of forty-two heavy turbolasers.

Seth Shorn was busy engaging the hostile fighters. A Ranger soared before him, desperately trying to break his lock, but Seth had the power of the Force on his side. He pulled up on the yoke, bringing his Nexus around in a scissors maneuver and neatly placing the nose of the TIE on the boogey's six. Shorn squeezed the trigger, lancets of red spat forth and peppered the ranger before it swiftly burst into flames. Seth tried not to look at the burning cockpit as he sped past.

All around him the starfighters engaged each other in a massive furball. Pilots on the comms screamed and died, bolts of red and green hissed back and forth through the blackness, broken only by the criss-crossing beams and exploding starfighters.

G99, Tunnels

As Monty sat in his atmospheric suit he listened to the crackles of battle come over the wavelengths. Men and women fighting and dying for something larger than themselves.

The radar went loud as little dots popped up across the board. Sith troopers. Misguided soldiers of an evil empire.

@Delila Castillon, Jedi there

"CONTACT!" Monty shouted over the coms as he opened up on the first man to round the long mine shafts entrance. Monty watched as little pockets of air mixed with blood spat out of the trooper as he fell to the ground.

Monty continued firing in short controlled bursts at anyone who dared round the corner. He was not losing this hallway.

The ship was being bombarded with fire, from all directions it felt. But for the motion of the ship, Zaiden stayed right up. Looking to his Empress, he asked, "When should we arrive? If not soon, then may I leave for Nickel One? Several of my brother's are there, including our knight Mikhail, doing battle. I wish to go find blood as soon as possible." The link created by the First Apprentice, made the battle easier already.

That is unless you all can handle it alone, Zaiden directed the thoughts to Mikhail.

Two ships made a microjump from the Imperial fleet line to the Adjudicator. They disregarded the asteroids, blowing them to pieces or taking the hits on their triple redundant shields. They were Rampant-class Assailant Monitors and their matte black forms closed slowly on the fight ahead. The two forms chugged straight for the corvettes and frigates of Walsh. They opened fire with their heavy turbolasers on the vessels, sidelining the Admiral while Omega Pyre and the Adjudicator played ball.

On the Pellaeon-class, Dirk stared at the hologram depicting the battle in full glory. The corvettes and frigates were minor irritants. They could pound away all they wanted, but you don't see a blockade runner going toe-to-toe with a Star Destroyer. The Adjudicator was busy playing hardball and was actually out of reach of G99's more formidable gun platforms since it clearly rested outside of the outer defenses of G99 and in OPEN SPACE.

Once more unto the breach. Or something similarly dramatic. So the day had finally arrived, after seemingly endless waiting, planning, even some doubting. To be sure, this was not open war, just a skirmish between the Republic and the Empire, but nonetheless the first opening salvoe, even though the actual galactic war might still be long in coming. Omega was here by contract with the Republic, though Siobhan did not need a reason to fight Sith. Of course, she had to admit that on the most basic level credits always helped!

Sooner or later the entire Galaxy would be in flames as the great conflagration spread from system to system. As the Starfall dropped out of hearspace and Ayden's voice came in over the intercomm, Siobhan was already in the hangar, directing the companies of hardened Omega mercenaries they had brought with them. Clad in heavy armour and armed with bolters, they were tough, capable fighters, eager to for combat and the booty it would offer them.

"Come on, boys. Let's move it. Or do you want to live forever?" she called out sarcastically, quickly boarding one of the dropships as Rangers and Avengers spilled out along with heavy Inimica-class bombers. The space was already in full swing, the big guns of the Starfall were engaging a Pellaeon-class-mark II Star Destroyer. Torrents of laser fire streaked through space, inplausibly causing a cacophony of sound despite the fact that there is no sound in space, as the dropship Siobhan had boarded kicked into action and steered out of the hangar bay at top speed.

The space between the Starfall and the Imperial Star Destroyer was being set ablaze with light, brilliant explosions tore through the vastness of space, shattering its peaceful serenity. Despite the imminent danger or perhaps because of it Siobhan felt exhilarated, such as she had not felt in a long time.

The hunt was on, the gods of war looked upon the desolation with glee, she would either prevail or fall in combat. Once that was established, there was nothing to be doubtful about. Warfare she could deal with. It was what she had been made for. So Siobhan quickly took up position in one of the gun turrets, pumping out shot after shot at Sith fighters that saw fit to come their way, drawing on the Force to enhance the precision of her shots, keeping up a steady and deadly barrage of laser fire at the attackers while the Starfall fought the larger prize.

Their target was Nickel One, more precisely the Verpine city built into the asteroid, where the politicos dwelled. So the dropship dodged and swerved it way through the space fight as a hailstorm of laser fire and missiles was unleashed, lighting up space in a show that might have been considered beautiful were it not claiming the lives of so many, but then such was war. Jedi Master @[member="Phylis Alince"] was believed to be there protecting dignitaries, Siobhan intended to link up with her. As bookish and annoyingly resistant to her charms Phylis had been, Siobhan knew that in a tight spot she was not to be trifled with.

"Brutus, get ready, initiating plan B. set for extraction." Jesta whispered into his comm. walking at a hurried pace ij the middle of the few hundred politics and senators to the nearest exit. Alec was right in front of him with his head low looking like a regular citizen. Being in the middle of a thick panicking crowd gave them an advantage as he and the rep exited the room and began to fly down the stairs along with everyone else. Jesta spoke into his comm. "Brutus, your in position right?" Jesta asked. Brutus answered and he laughed. "Good, take the shot. The sith fighting the jedi, shoot to kill, after a few moments of that get your ass oit of there." Jesta said silently, keeping the rep in front of him. "The rest of you, meet me at the randevuos. And make sure you are not followed." Jesta told them. Pressing a button on the detonator all the lights in the building shut down, and the emergency lights came on red. Cameras and such were dead now. "Stay close." Jesta told the rep.

Roche G-99 - Hanger

Well that got lively in a hurry, thought Selena. Republic fleets and Imperial fleets were in sector now. Weapons of war were on the line, as was the freedom of the Verpine. The stakes were high. Roche would be integral to securing a bastion along the Perlemian. The value of holding this planet was great, and Selena was painfully aware of it. This battle also marked the beginning of the war that everyone knew was coming. After this things would be live. Billions would die. It was a tragic day really, but one that had to happen. If victorious it was a large step towards getting this war going in the right direction. Lives could be saved this day. A lot hung in the balance. A lot. The pressure of it surely hung on many minds. For Selena it was merely a fact. Her duty was the only burden she carried and it could hardly be considered a burden.

A full squadron of StealthX's were in the hanger where Selena was. While old technology, the four hundred years of darkness certainly kept it relevant. Even at the outset of the darkness they were still pretty solid. It was not unusual for special forces operations to use them or Jedi Shadows. Of the two Selena was the latter. As she saw it though, the fighters offered an opportunity. The Republic was forming a strong line. Nickel One was becoming quite the battleground as the battle for the capital asteroid took full force. It would focus attention on that point. It left the perfect opportunity for a small team to move clear across the battlefield and try to deal with Sith forces centered on the Roche Hive Research Station.

Around her were a few shadows and special forces members. But an entire team was not fully here. She pulled her comm device to her mouth after keying in an encrypted frequency local to G-99. "This is Jedi Knight Selena Halcyon, requesting a few highly trained individuals to strike at the research station. Piloting knowledge required, this will be in the dark."

Aboard the Kalakar was a lonesome Sith, clad in a crimson black cloak and ornate armor the Sith paced across the the length and breadth of the viewing corridors. He could sense something, something he had not sensed in so long. But the mission for the Empire took precedence....at least until he could be certain that it was indeed her he sensed.

A trooper came in and saluted.

"We are moving towards the Vault now, Sir."

Skorn nodded and dismissed the trooper, his thoughts going now to the mission. The Fighter Research Facility which these damned Republicans had under their control was a thorn in the Empire's side. The Empress in her infinite glory and wisdom had commanded Skorn thus.

"Make this eye sore of a facility disappear, whichever way you must."

And he intended to follow those orders. The question of how, still remained. Walking swiftly towards the bridge he peered at the unfamiliar faces of the crew with his golden eyes. He was looking for someone in particular, the Moff who commanded the ship. Skorn approached the chiss and bowed once n formal greeting.

"What news Moff Irk...ah..is that the correct way to say your name? Irk?"

Monty heard the call over his com as he fired at a few more troopers. He could fly. His buddy knew it too.

"Go." He said as he put out a hand to take the S4, offering up his own S26 sub machine gun and S-6A with the other. Monty eyes the man sadly. One man wouldn't last if anything too big tried to punch through and the charge would set off the moment the position was compromised.

"Go." The man said more forcefully.

Monty slowly swapped weapons with his fellow soldier and sprinted down the tunnels with one last look back. The man probably wouldn't make it.

He quickly arrived at the hangar and found a woman surrounded by soldiers and Jedi next to outdated starships.

"Pfc. Jusik reporting ma'am. 68 whiskey." He said quickly.

Capital, with spawning Sith @[member="Mikhail Shorn"] @[member="Darth Moridin"] @[member="Darth Apparatus"] etc

The Sith were popping up like mushrooms after rain. Hideous, smelly mushrooms. Hmm...more work on that needed.

Now of course, her Force push had no effect. Why would it? That'd make things too easy. Still, when the Sith tried to retaliate by crushing her heart, she was ready and formed a solid enough shield to defend herself.
"You're also the creepy sort who feels up women, judging by that practised grap for my chest," she retorted. A glance over at Apparatus. They'd met before, another time, another place. That had ended mostly a draw. Hopefully this time would be better.

Gathering the Force about herself she called on a much stronger blast of the Force to throw Mikhail back. Note, this time she checked that there were no verpine, wookies, small ferrets or anything else which might be humorously thrown instead.
Well, she was a realist, it wasn't going to end the battle, but Tit Grabber McSith deserved to be put down on his ass.

Above the capital asteroid

The Indomitable moved into position. It was now interposed in such a way that it could try and prevent any Sith ships from trying to make the journey from the generator asteroid to the capital. Numerous heavy guns and tractor beams were ready to smash any ship which tried to make the run....

After a no doubt harrowing journey through the vastness of space, dodging and swerving past laser salvoes that got shot towards, though fortunately the Sith Star Destroyer seemed focused on the Starfall, Siobhan had finally reached Nickel Dome and taken a rail car, following the pile of corpses that had been left behind by the Sith - she was always happy about the fact that the friendly neighbourhood darksiders were so eager to help her and prevent her from getting lost - and the Force signature of Phylis Alince, the former Jedi had reached the location of what appeared to be a quite thrilling battle.

No doubt there were more interesting events that happened in between, but they shall not concern us. Apparently Phylis was being swarmed by Sith. Now Siobhan could see why they would want her - she had unsuccessfully tried to entice her into her bed during the quest on Kaeshana - but this seemed like overkill. Well, men, she had always thought they were lacking anyway!

Her lightsabre was ready to flare to life, but instead of drawing it she brought up her Boltgun. The weapon had been created by Omega to overcome the technological impasse represented by the fact that lightsabres blocked blaster bolts, but while slugs could not be deflected they were incapable of penetrating armour. The bolter was loaded with explosive rounds that were armed on launch and any pressure on the warhead would cause detonation. The rounds would explode with anything. Just after Phylis had unleashed her telekinetic blast Siobhan squeezed the trigger, wielding the heavy weapon with both hands as she sent the shells flying towards Mikhail Shorn.

"Guess there's no other way for him to get a woman, is there, Phylis? Maybe therapy will help. Explosive one," Siobhan quipped as she fired, face grim.

He forced the canopy of the Jedi fighter he'd managed to... 'land' out of the way, now standing on the asteroid that held a significant taint of Sith. The Verpine here were in collusion with the Sith. At the same time, he also knew that the intelligence community had found some plans or another that would be beneficial to find while he was here. At the same time, he was more interested in weakening the Sith hold on the asteroid. It would help overall. White cloak fluttered about him as he dropped onto the metal decking of the service hangar. His usual armor had been outfitted with a few modifications to make it less lethal to be without atmosphere. For that he was appreciative.

Still, it did little to handle the Verpine that drew on him once they realized he was not one of their Sith friends. In a fluid motion he extended his right hand, a saber hilt flying to it and igniting in a single violet blade as he swung it quickly through the barrel of the nearest blaster, deflecting a shot from a second into the blaster of a third. A quick push to the second assailant and the trio went running from the hangar. He would have to move quickly. He left, amidst protests from the astromech in the fighter about having to do repairs and his poor flying, and headed into service tunnels, looking for the way to the sensitive data and any possible Sith on the rock.

The approach to Nickel One seemed never ending. The Republic and Sith were both no doubt on their way as well, which made the situation that much more uncomfortable. It had been some time since Ventasia had stood on Coruscant, the Republic homeworld. Now she stood between them, and what could possibly be an all out war. Ventasia herself had no personal interest in the situation, but when being paid to do a job. one can't quite be picky about said job. Such was her current occupation.

Just as she entered the hangar, Ayden's voice boomed over the comms. Without a doubt, it was time to go to work. She headed toward the transport, hearing Siobhan's voice mocking the waves of Omega Pyre soldiers. Somehow, she found it quite cute the way she sarcastically toyed with the 'boys'. Nonetheless, the time had arrived to head out.

As the transport exited the hangar, it seemed as if the sun stood directly next to them. The battle in the stars lit the endless darkness that was space. Without saying it, Ventasia knew what was happening. This was war, galactic war, whether anyone wanted to admit it or not. Sith fighters, Republic fighters, and Omega Pyre in the middle of it all. Her hand clutched tightly at her blaster as reality slowly set in. At some point, sides would have to be chosen, but that day hopefully wouldn't come soon.

The transport bobbed and weaved through the sky as they began their final approach to the asteroid. The Sith were already there, and not hiding it. With ease, Ventasia could feel their presence. It was as if they were openly challenging anyone to come. This was one challenge that the flame haired vixen could not turn away from. Her lips curved into a coy smile as the transport prepared to make its final approach and land.
