Forcepike - Lightsaber resistant?

TL;DR: You can use a force pike made of phrik without any sort of dev thread. Even with attachments tacked on, it's a canonically lightsaber-resistant weapon.

I'm a former FJ. Trust me. Short of slapping an underslung grenade launcher on it or turning it into a ballistic weapon, you don't need one.

If you wanna air on the side of caution, go ahead and sub it, but you don't really need to.

Canon item = no dev thread
Custom item with no lightsaber resistant materials =likely no development thread.
Custom item with restricted materials = dev thread of varying length

The factory exist to add flavor and fun to your roleplaying experience. Development threads are there to encourage effort and a story behind items that could be questionable or rare and highly customized. Development is requested not to discourage creativity but rather encourage well thought out custom items that add to everyone's reading and writing experience. If you have a doubt a question a comment you are more than welcomed to ask me or any of the factory staff and our board admins are some of the best. Other members like [member="Popo"] and [member="Ayden Cater"] come to mind as having a wealth of knowledge regarding technology and ships. However, when in doubt dev it out.

So if you put a blade on a blaster you probably won't need a dev. Put a lightsaber on a blaster and you will.

Or something. :p At the very least I can keep it in reserve, cause that looks like quite a bit we're pulling up.

But yeah, good to know that I don't need a dev thread for an already canon item...but already RPing a dev thread, and I see no reason to stop. :p
