Balun snorted quietly at Iona Starchaser Iona Starchaser 's remark about making friends, shooting her a lopsided grin paired with a mock-glare. She was teasing—encouraging him in that playful, needling way of hers. All fair in fun and games. Yet despite the amusement, he didn't feel like he had much to contribute to the discussion regarding their trajectory. He was here to provide support where needed, and if something went wrong with the ship, he could certainly be put to work. But from the look of the frigate, he doubted there'd be any mechanical trouble—unless, of course, they ran into a fight.

The more he took in the ship's design, the more familiar it felt. His curiosity got the better of him, drawing his attention away from the conversation. Without much thought, Balun began to wander, his gaze drifting along the bulkheads as he made his way toward the aft section. His mind was already dissecting the vessel's engineering, wondering what kind of fusion or hypermatter engine powered this particular beauty.

Compared to Starchaser Enterprises, Dashiell Retrofit™ was still in its infancy. As a subsidiary of Dashiell Incorporated, his company had the security to develop at its own pace, allowing time for careful planning and expansion. While he didn't immediately recognise this ship as one of Starchaser Enterprises' models, knowing Iona—and now realizing her uncle was involved—it wasn't hard to make an educated guess. Keeping an eye on the corporate world was second nature to him, and connections like these were worth noting.
