Fresh off the shuttle at Ossus (open to any on Ossus)

Vash walked down the ramp with the other Padawans lucky enough to have been accepted into the Ossus Academy. He topped at the bottem of the ramp and breathed in deeply. He let his breath out slowly and took in the temple and all its glory. Words could not express his excitement. He had arrived.
He was anxious to begin his training. He had heard so many wonderful things about Ossus, and from the looks of the Grand Temple, they were all true. He slowly walked forward, taking in each moment. All he carried with him was his ruck sack containing the few things he owned, and his lightsaber, which he wore proudly on his belt. He looked around at the people milling about. Any one of them could be his new best friend, or even...his new Master!

Leaning up against the wall, Coci waited for the shuttle arriving with the new Padawans to begen their training at the Jedi Temple on Ossus. As part of the security team, Coci is here to greet them and run them through some checks, before they proceed to their new quarters in the Temple.

She pushed off the wall as the Padawans began to approach, one by one, they passed through the check out conducted by one of her fellow security operatives, and into the Temple. She noticed one Padawan, a blonde boy looking around with amazement. A small smile formed on her face, Ossus is unique and she had to agree with his wonder at the place.

"Greetings Padawan, Welcome to Ossus". she said on approach.

Back at the Academy, Kira was in a bit of a rush making sure that they had everything set up for the new padawans. She held a small datapad in her hands, one she used to check off the manifest of items.

"Robes... check!" she told herself as she checked things off with her stylus, "Shoes... check!" she began to hum a little diddy. The Security Team would be meeting up with the Padawans directly, so it wouldn't take long before they would arrive.

In the meantime, "Bedsheets.... Check!!"

Her smile was disarming, but Vash had no doubts that she could kick the shebs out of someone without any effort.
"Thank you Ma'am" Said Vash, as handed off his ruck sack for inspection to the security personnel standing by. There wasn't any contraband in the bag, but Vash understood the need for security.
"I'm Vash Hal'Brok. Can you please tell me where I'm supposed to report?" The smile on Vash's face somehow got bigger.

@Coci Sinopi @Kira Liadain

Coci keyed in his name into her data pad. Vash Hal'Brok, came up squeeky clean? Coci 's eye narrowed as she looked back on him. She is also just a little suspicious and paranoid of the clean skins, tis the nature of her and her being an operative and all. However, she would let this one pass until such time as he was to draw her attention again with some miss doings.

"You report to Knight Kira Liadain who is waiting for you in side, she will assign you a room". She directed him up the steps of the Temple. "Through the main hall and to the right, you will come to a hall .. from there take the next left and follow that along until you reach two large double doors, from there proceeded until you reach a T junction and turn left, then right... then through to the small room where you will find her ... good luck".

The slew of directions made Vash's brain hurt. She lost him at "turn right" and he didn't tune back in till "good luck"
He didn't have a clue where he was going. The smart thing to do would have been to ask her to repeat the instructions, but he was a Correllian, so he had to be cool. He flashed her a cocky smile and replied.
"Thanks Ma'am, should be easy to find." He winked as he retrieved his bag and walked past the nice (and scary) security lady and up the steps into the Temple itself. Once his back was turned to her, Vash's smile vanished.
I'm so screwed.
He sighed,
Oh well, time to get lost.

Vash made a right, then a left, then a left then a right, no wait, maybe it was a left.... and then another right, he would have gone up if given the option. Finally, a youngling took pity on him on lead him by the hand to his desired location. He stepped into the small room and found a woman inside reading a datapad. Her robes were immaculate and her blonde locks bounced as she gracefully paced with the datapad in hand.
Please be her...
"'cuse me? I'm looking for Knight Liadain?

By the time Coci and the new padawan came around, Kira had just finished going through her list. A voice spoke from behind her, prompting her to turn around. A wide smile dazzled the energetic and cheerful Knight, as she brought the datapad to her chest, hugging it.

"Oh hello!" came her reply, rocking on her feet.

"I might be able to help you find her," she said, her eyes dancing with mischief. "Depends on who is lookin!" she said in a lighthearted tone, looking up to see if Knight Sinopi was still at the welcoming area or had also made her way over.

Relief started to build up in Vash as the woman stated that she was able to help. And then the relief, simply shattered when she continued with her lighthearted banter. Vash was used to having the upper hand in matters of mischief, that was one of the perks of being Corellian, but this cheerful woman, she was good, dare he say, maybe even better than him...?

Getting lost in the labyrinth that was the temple had taken wind of Vash's sails, so he was definitely off his game. He simply offered a sheepish grin.
"My name is Vash. The sca- I mean, the nice lady outside told me to come here and meet with Knight @[member="Kira Liadain"], of course, that was 50 bazillion turns ago..."

"Hmm... just be grateful that this isn't the main academy at Coruscant," she said in a teasing tone, flashing a warm wink. "Well, then Vash," she stuck her hand out to him in greeting.

"Welcome to Ossus," she told him, her grin lingering. "Don't worry about the bugs. You'll get used to them." she teased, then motioned for him to follow her. "I'll guide you through all the in and outs that you have to go through, starting with your check in." she told him.

"Come on, let's get you some goodies," two fingers beckoned him to follow her. "Alright... you have your standard robe, shoes, belt and all that jazz here," she pointed towards the area where other padawans were already starting to gather their items.

"Blankets are over there." she added, "And I'll get you your dormitory assignments in a moment." she said, adding a second later, "So, where you from Vash?"

He returned the handshake, grateful that she had a sense of humor.
He followed her as she guided him through the Temple. Now that he wasn't focused on getting lost, he was able to take in the beauty that surrounded him.
Padawans were milling about gathering their robes and other items. Vash did the same at Knight Liadain's beckoning. Upon gathering the required items, Vash continued on the tour with Liadain. It was like being in a dream. He was at the Jedi Temple. He was to be trained as a Jedi Knight. He looked around him at all the other excited faces around him, he would be joining them on missions to preserve peace in the republic. It was all so surreal.

@[member="Kira Liadain"]'s question pulled him back to reality.
"Corellia Ma'am, the best planet in the galaxy!"

"Well I guess pride is certainly a perquisite for the Corellians," Kira said with a tease, gathering the information about his dormitory quarters, "Hmm... looks like your roommate is going to be," she checked off the name " @[member="Jannik Morlandt"]." she told him with a grin.

"Great guy, he's from Coruscant." she told him. "Another padawan of Liadain's might I add," she said, rocking on the pads of her boots.

"So, why the Jedi Order?" she asked.

A roommate?! Vash did his best to contain his excitement. He was at the Ossus academy. He had his Jedi clothes. He had his dorm room. And now he had a roommate! This was too good to be true.

The excitement grinded to a halt at the cheerful woman's question He opened his mouth to respond, but hesitated. He always had a response to everything. Flying by the seat of his pants was was how he operated. But this question struck him.
"....Well....whenever I would imagine what I wanted to be, in the entire Galaxy....It was always to be a Jedi. I want to save people. And if I can save ONE person, all of the training, and all the choices I've ever made will be worth it" A rare somlum moment for Vash.

Kira couldn't help but grin at his reply, giving a slight nod. "Ahhh, a worthy endeavor," she said, motioning for him to follow her into the academy. With a burst of energy, she quickly began to take the steps up.

"So, I'm sure the Jedi Masters who found you discovered a measure of Force Potential within you... getting those weird tingling feelings and everything," she teased, "Ever figure out what you have a neat knack in?" she asked.

Force sensitivity was different with all sentients, some showed more of an aptitude with Sense, others with such things as piloting, or perhaps having an enhanced danger sense.

Vash kept pace with the blonde knight as they moved up the steps to the academy.
He processed her question for a moment before responding.

"They said I had a talent for the control side of the force. I'm pretty good at controlling the force within myself, at least better than I am at affecting other things around me."

Hasjo hulked down the steps last, waiting for everyone else to have left. He was a relatively quiet person. Though being surrounded by other races and seeing none of his kin in sight, he felt even more isolated, alone, if not a bit scared. He had trained for years, since he could remember. Though he had never been given a master, and at age nineteen, he was desperately searching for one. His feet padded along the metallic surface of the ramp before the sudden shift to stone below his feet. His hands hid in either of his robe sleeves, head lowered and eyes downcast to avoid eye contact. The tentacles draped over his shoulders gently swayed with each movement, his black beady eyes refusing to blink. Not once. A trait of his species that sometimes put others on edge.

Coci stood by the checking point with her arms folded as the new arrives continued to move through without much drama, the occasional one raising her eyebrow. But nothing out of the ordinary. She does that often and with most beings. She stifled a yawn and the day was drawing long. Turning her head to refocus she noticed another Padawan approaching. To clear her mind from tiring she decided to go and see what this one was up to and check him in herself.

"Greeting Padawan, your name?", she said in her usual way to @[member="Hasjo Hallu"].

He glanced up as the words cut through the otherwise dead silence of his mind. He hadn't realised it, but he had been blocking out all other noise, becoming entranced by his own thoughts. Noticing the woman, he suddenly straightened his posture lickety split. His legs shot out to stand in a upside down V while his hands found themselves untangling out from his sleeves to clasp the opposing hands in a stance of neutrality. He didn't look her in the eye, but rather straight ahead, neither at her nor at what was behind her. He was focused, sharp and at attention. "Hasjo Hallu, ma'am" he reported stiffly.

"At ease, Hallu", she said with a smile. However, she did walk around him, taking her time to look him over from head to foot. She eyed him for any sign of weapon not standard for a Padawan and he was all clear. She moved back around in front of him and her eyes fell on her data pad and keyed in his name.

Again a clean skin. "You are to take what belongings you have and report to Knight @[member="Kira Liadain"] who is checking in arrives and placing them in their quarters". Once again she ran through the direction to the quarters.

"Go up the steps and through the main hall and to the right, you will come to a hall .. from there take the next left and follow that along until you reach two large double doors, from there proceeded until you reach a T junction and turn left, then right... then through to the small room where you will find her ... good luck".

He stood there for a moment longer than necessary. He still remained at attention, not because he chose too, but because he was too focused on the words she had spoken. It was a lot of instructions in a short given time. If he forgot them, he would be lost. After what seemed like five minutes but in actuality only ten seconds, he nodded his head and relaxed. Not a peep out of his mouth. He moved towards the main entrance into the main hall. His footsteps were light, standing on the toes of his feet. If he were anymore light footed he would be gliding. He turned right into the given hall. He scanned the walls, taking the next left. At the end of the hallway he forced open two large double doors with both hands. He continued on down another corridor, scurrying along after the heels of those already far ahead of him. Coming upon the intersection he turned left, then right, then through a doorway and into the small room. Exactly as he had been told, and exactly as he had recalled it in his mind. He snapped back to attention, tightening his posture, spreading his legs, clasping his hands. Gaze straight, head held high in dignity. Hasjo called "Knight [member="Kira Liadain"], Hasjo Hallu reporting for assignment".

"Oh? Like controlling your body in strength?" she asked, curiously, only to turn as she heard a voice ask for Knight Kira Liadain. With a shot of her arm up in the air, she began to wave over at @[member="Hasjo Hallu"].

"Over here!" she said aloud, motioning for the young padawan to come over. That's when Kira gave a grin to Vash, her eyes twinkling with mirth as she said, "Oh yeah, I'm Knight Liadain, pleasure to meet you, padawan."
