Fresh off the shuttle at Ossus (open to any on Ossus)

He heard the words, but he didn't respond. He was left there standing quietly for a moment, only a few seconds before he suddenly snapped out of his thought process. He wasn't really thinking, truly. No, he had been in that state of being there, but also not being there. An odd state some people would once in a blue moon find themselves in. Some referred to it as 'zoning out'. Once more the words came back to his mind, and his own words drifted from his mouth as soon as he recalled what was asked of him. "Sir, there are several known Jedi Codes. The refined code established by Odan-Urr is most commonly known. It's meaning is for a Jedi to explore his feelings, understand them and set them aside. A Jedi must understand the world around him, to not allow ignorance to prevent finding knowledge in even the most strangest of places. To never act rashly. To know all things are interconnected and interdependent. Death is not a tragedy, but a natural part of life. There is no death, there is the Force." He spoke with a deadly calm, as though it had been recited in his mind a thousand times, and a thousand times more. His eyes staring straight ahead at nothing in particular, as though an unseen object was grabbing his attention. His hands clasped in front of him in the sign of neutrality among all Jedi and his legs spread firmly apart in attention.

At @[member="Kira Liadain"]'s introduction of @[member="Vash Hal'Brok"], and her subsequent mention of being his roommate, Jannik's mouth widened to a smile that showed just the slightest bit of tooth. He grasped Hal'Brok's hand with his own, and gave it three quick, eager pumps.

"Well, about time!" He said as he shook the hand of his new roommate. "Call me Jan."

He freed his hand from that of Vash's, and let it fall to his side.

"So, d'ye like music, Vash?"

As he maintained his steady, friendly demeanor with Vash, another padawan already situated in the Academy dorms came around, whom he'd seen, passing through the dorm areas, and catching the curly-haired man in a glance as his door had been open. When @[member="Kira Liadain"] introduced the man as Jannik, and the fact that this one was one of her students, Peradun gave the other dark-haired padawan a short nod, acknowledging his presence. When that same padawan went to greet his roommate, the felacatian gave them room, moving away just enough to not make things feel crowded.

Then someone else joined them, and he heard that person come close, then saw her. Her mere appearance set his mind in motion, wondering just what the percentage was of blondes to everyone else within the Jedi Order. To @[member="Daella Apparine"], he offered a modest smile and tipped his head, listening as Kira spoke. When she asked if there were any questions, he did in fact have one, and turned his gaze to the knight to ask.

"Ma'am... when do we start training?" He asked.

He wasn't an eager beaver, so much as keen to be aware of all the facts, and to put a finger down on whatever schedule there might be for those situated on Ossus. Something to guide him until he was paired with someone on a more dedicated basis.

Vash nodded his his vigorously. "I like all kinds of music"

He turned to regard his new master. He didn't have any questions. He was eager to begin training, but he knew that he had to learn patience.

So he stood next to his new roommate and regarded the others and waited.

AC grinned with the biggest smile on his face that he could possibly make. Seeing everyone come together, it's just how he dreamt it would be.
He looked at @[member="Kira Liadain"].
"Hello, my name is Aragorn Caldwell. But everyone called me AC. Blame my parents for my name, I didn't choose it."
He let out a small, shy laugh.
He looked around the group, examining everyone from head to toe. More or less, some than others.
@[member="Kira Liadain"] mentioned the wardrobe, but AC was one step ahead. He neatly rearranged his belongings in his arms.
After @[member="Kira Liadain"] finished, AC stuck his hand in the air.
"Question. Do we really need robes? Kind of loose and old fashion, don't you think?" @[member="Kira Liadain"]
A dorky, saractic laugh now came out of his mouth.

Kira gave a wide smile over at Stali, "We will start today, actually," she answered his question, giving then a wink over to Vash before turning to AC Jazz.

"Hey there Aragorn!" she held out a hand, "Pleasure to meet you." she said, then answering his question, "It's just a change of clothing, for each of movement and so you can feel comfortable." she said.

"We will first meet Master Apparine," she told them, herding them over to her. "I'm sure she has some words of wisdom for you all." HAH! Ahh, Daella would likely not appreciate this, but hey, the kids needed to meet her.

"Follow me!" she said, waving them over as she began to lead them over to where Daella stood.

Antares Windu listened to the Padawan's words. He had an understanding of the Code, lived by it, clearly, but Odan-Urr's code was hypocrisy at best, in Antares's opinion. "I see you live by that." Antares said with a smirk. "However, you should understand that you will always be with emotion, Padawan." Antares said, stopping in front of him.

The Padawan was strict, organized, and quite crisp. In a military sort of way. Though upon seeing how he had reacted to the other Padawans, Antares wasn't amused. "You will come to understand this soon, as you work together with other Jedi." He said with an indication of his head to the grouping that was led by @[member="Kira Liadain"], and being formed around @[member="Daella Apparine"]. "Loosen and open yourself up." Antares stated wisely, "it will save your life one day." He said, and he waited to see the Nautolan's response to his words.

@[member="Hasjo Hallu"]

He remained steadfast in his listening of [member="Antares Windu"]'s words. When he finished, Hasjo bowed his head. He spoke "As you wish, sir." Even then, Hasjo seemed to be taking it much more seriously than the others. He relaxed himself, but looked like he was having trouble doing so. As if the very motion of acting casual was an unusual behaviour he was unaccustomed too. He relaxed his stance and released his hands. Though he began to fidget, clearly unsure what to do now. Clearly Hasjo was not one to think on his own, no noble leader was he. But a dedicated worker. He would do as he was bidden without a sour remark.

Spencer arrived on a later shuttle, she was given the time to get herself acquainted with the Order when she had arrived. Despite the building looking similar she noticed minor differences. Oddly enough she was given her old room and some of her stuffed animals and such were removed from storage. An old yet rather new tunic was recovered in her dresser, it fit snugly around her chest and shoulders which caused her to pull uncomfortably at the bottom of the tunic which resided under the utility belt she was issued. The uniform was something she didn't appreciate much, but it was time to do things the way they should be done and not the way a rogue or a spacer would There was a small gathering and she wondered if they were padawans coming to learn at the temple on Ossus. She was given notice that she wasn't allowed to teach anything until she was deemed fit by the council, though once touched by the dark side, it was hard to fully give it up. The Hazel color of her eyes were slowly returning, but the yellow corruption still stained her eyes, which now focused on the temple that laid before her.

According to what she heard from fellow Master's the woman she had been searching for looked after this temple. The stern look on the Jedi Master's face remained imprinted in Spencer's mind, the woman questioned her leaving of the Order and Spencer wondered if it was just a ploy to try and distract her. Narrowing her eyes, she wondered why anyone would be interested in her story in the first place. Pulling the dark gray cloak tightly over her shoulders, the shuttle that she left soon shut its doors and lifted off taking away those that were leaving Ossus with them. Looking over her shoulders, the wind flapped the cloak and her hair, once more she wondered if this was the best plan - but what the force willed the force got from her. Once the wind died down, Spencer slowly made her way towards the temple, keeping her head down passing the group of padawans and knights.

The answer @[member="Kira Liadain"] gave was definitely acceptable. Today? He could work with that. Hell, he could take that and run with it. The week since he had left Felacat, since he had left the routine and work of the military, had been a good break, but he had been feeling the itch. These hands were used to work, hard work, and a set number of leave days per year. He knew he couldn't expect a direct transfer into a similar situation, and that he would need to adjust. He could still, however, maintain what his old life had instilled in him.

Following along with the other gathered to meet this @[member="Daella Apparine"], yet another blonde entered the vicinity, and in the back of his mind, the recalculations began anew. The concentration of blondes of both sexes together even in his satellite academy was unusually high. He thought, perhaps, that it was a fluke, but his eyes drifted aside to @[member="Spencer Jacobs"], as she passed by the group, head down, as if attempting to not be seen and wondered at her purpose here. Was she master or novice? He had no way to tell, no basis on which to make educated judgement. He had to admit to himself some curiosity... but he pulled his eyes back to rest on Master Apparine, doubtless believing that she would begin to speak, soon.

Spencer paused as she kept to herself the best she could. The last thing she wanted was attention to be placed on her by the others. Here she was a no body, just a former rogue trying to find some sense in her life and come home. The thought of home made her smile, her journey in her mind had come full circle and it had taken her this long to realize it. Everyone seemed to be waiting for @[member="Daella Apparine"] to say something to them, to welcome them to this extension of the Order. Spencer shifted where she stood, it wasn't long ago that she had seen the woman opposite of her as an enemy - would her redemption come from this woman? Closing her eyes tightly, she did her best to find some sort of resolve to keep her standing here. The longer she remained with in the Order catching gazes of those she had worked with before or those that had been present for her unveiling of being the Empress' second in the Empire. Doing her best to keep herself closed off, she still felt a pair of eyes on her, looking up she caught eyes with the man or boy looking at her.

The Master's specialty was based around the mental aspect of the Force. Focusing on his mind, she quickly found a tunnel and connected with him. She pulled away though realizing that the invasion was something a Jedi didn't do. Her influence surrounded @[member="Meeristali Peradun"] and then left in a breath. Turning her attention away she was curious on why he stared, it wasn't like the others he seemed curious. Disregarding her previous invasion, she tried once more, this time with a bit of subtly and her soft soprano voice echoed in the back of his mind.

Its impolite to stare. You're curious though aren't you?
If he looked over towards her, a slight grin spread across her face as she turned her attention like the others waiting to hear from the Master in charge.

At Vash's intense nodding, Jannik grinned. This was good. They'd get on well, or at least he believed so, from what he'd gathered so far. He couldn't have hoped for better in a roommate at first blush. Following along with the others, he went to go meet this Master Apparine, and hopefully hear a few words. He always had some interest in what others had to say. Words were a thing he had long worked with, and to an extent, he had a way with them.

Eventually, he hoped he'd be able to tell the masters apart from the novices, because there was no obvious way to sort them. It would be embarrassing to think of someone something they're not. Jan kept alongside Master Liadain and Vash, looking to the newly introduced master, wondering what she would say, if anything at all.

She looked back, just as he looked to Master @[member="Daella Apparine"], just as he pulled his vibrant orange feline eyes away from her form, with the realization that what had started as a simple look had turned into a stare... but when she looked back, his eye flicked over to her again. Whatever she had done, unaware that the strange feeling he felt around himself that had cemented his attention on her was her doing, it left as quickly as it had come, her eyes leaving his. He blinked, the slightest measure of confusion burrowing into his mind. Shaking his head, he returned his attention to the group, and Apparine.

What was... Its impolite to stare. You're curious though aren't you? ...tha...t...?

So it was her, and she'd caught him red... handed? Slowly, his gaze trickled over to @[member="Spencer Jacobs"] once again, his head tilting in the slightest to the right, the curiosity she evoked mildly evident on his face, rather small against the extent to which his interest was piqued when the words spoken in his mind were coupled with the slight grin on her face. After half-a-moment, his own mouth formed much the same expression, and he looked back to the somewhat severe-looking Daella... but...

Maybe. He had no clue whether his attempt at a reply in kind would even reach its destination, or work at all. Who's asking?

...yes, he was curious.

As @[member="Kira Liadain"] gathered the newcomers around her, Daella gave a wide-eyed look to the growing crowd.

After almost a minute of silence, Daella simply said, "Welcome to Ossus."

Erinyes stood quietly, seemingly in a half daze as she observed all of the new padawans. A faint whimsical smile went dancing over her lips, her green eyes bright against her cerulean skin.

She was barefoot, her toes lightly wiggling against the ground, feeling the earth underneath her. She enjoyed the connection, and here in Ossus, the Force sang more powerfully than in other worlds.

It was a good day. Perhaps, she might even do a class session.

ANnnnnnnnnnd that was that. Master Apparine, ever the orator. That amusing thought went dancing across Kira's mind. Nonetheless, with a clap of her hands she turned around towards the padawans.

"Alright! I'm gonna leave you all to get settled and mingle for about half an hour. After that, come meet me outside at the training grounds just before the treeline that meets up to the jungle. We'll be doing our first group training there!"

Well, tha' was anticlimactic, he thought. And so was the way of Master Apparine, it seemed. His own master, [member="Kira Liadain"], was quick to move things along, giving the clue to Jannik that she knew it too. Then... that was it. They were all left to mill about, either chatting a lot, or nudging at the floor with their toes, feeling incredibly awkward, and saying nothing at all. Jannik Anders Morlandt was of the former rather than the latter and though chatting with his new room-mate, [member="Vash Hal'Brok"], would doubtless be an effective use of the next half-hour, there would be plenty of time for that as they were likely to see each other's faces on a daily basis. So the curly haired musician and padawan looked about for someone else to strike up a conversation with.

Like that lovely looking, definitely-not-human woman (for example) who was not quite in the group so much as she was out of it. Her skin had a blue tone, some shades lighter than that of a Chiss, and he thought it was nice to look at, but not stare at - lest he be caught staring - though he was admittedly having trouble putting a finger on what species she was. Not that he would go on and blatantly ask. It was something he'd have to look up later. Nonetheless, he found himself deciding without much in the way of internal debate to at least go and say hello... and see what might happen, if anything at all.

So, then, he moved away from the group, and came to [member="Erinyes Draclau"]. She looked sort of happy, or at least content, and that made him certain she wouldn't be bothered by a bit of a chat.

"Ehm... h'lo there," he said. "Ah 'aven't seen you about b'fore."

Inwardly he cursed how stupid and obvious that sounded, but on the outside, on his face, he wore a calm smile.

"Ahm Jannik Morlandt, a padawan..." He glanced back to the group, to [member="Hasjo Hallu"], [member="Antares Windu"], and the rest, then looked again at her. "...an that was obvious. An' you? What's your name?"

Now, if that didn't remind me of one of my old commanders... He thought, his eyes moving once again to [member="Spencer Jacobs"], wondering if she 'heard' that too. The idea that someone could be listening in on his thoughts was a little unsettling, but at the same time, it wasn't as if the Felacatian had anything to hide. And now... now that they were released from being moved about like a gaggle of geese, he could easily approach the intriguing blonde without all the pussyfooting around, and hopefully have a conversation out loud. Having words that were not his own popping up in his head was something that would take a lot of getting used to, if he ever did.

"So, something tells me you're not a padawan," he said in a mild, probing tone of voice, having wandered the few steps to make the space between them more conversation-appropriate, slipping his hands into his trouser pockets, and remembering some minutes before when the Nautolan had given him that look because he had dared be friendly and blasphemy of blasphemies, hadn't worn his new robes. "Am I wrong?"

Soft jade green eyes went lightly over [member="Jannik Morlandt"] 's form, a soft whimsical smile lingering over the Shi'ido princess's lips.

"Greetings," she began, her voice soft and musical. There was a pause then a curious addition, "Seeing is only the beginning." Her attention drew away towards the fluttering of a small flock of birds up in the sky, a small look of wonder in her face.

"Erinyes Draclau, a knight." she began, revealing her name, her bare feet wiggling against the earth in joy. "Jannik Morlandt, a padawan."

And then it clicked. His master had spoken of this woman on very day they had met, as they were ordering breakfast. He recalled his order - muja berry flatcakes, two nuna eggs over easy, three rashers of nuna bacon, a glass of blue milk, and a cup of caf - and his calm smile broke to a wide grin as he connected the name of [member="Erinyes Draclau"] to her face, for forever in his noggin... but then the smile caught on a mental snag, as he considered precisely what it was she meant by 'Seeing is only the beginning', and to further that, he was curious if she was one of those people that spoke entirely in riddles, which was only entertaining up to a point. Not that any of it was important in the here and now.

"Ah, well... it'd appear that I've been wanting t'meet you, ehm... Knight Draclau," he said in turn, fairly proper address and all - Kira seemed to take being called 'missy' and 'lass' without a care, but the same could not be guaranteed to be the case for anyone else. Even if they did seem a little odd at first blush. "M'master made mention that y'might be able t'help me with a little something."

A little something? Why couldn't he just get out with it and say the bloody words? Oh, well, yes, he could! "With th'visions, ah mean."
