He was looking at her and listening for the moment. "Love can be powerful... it can also be dangerous. For love is usually no part of the jedi. Love belongs to a desire and desire can be cruel." He said it but he made sure she heard usually. he knew there were some jedi skilled and able to control themselves... emotionally mature to not well put it into everything and ahead of helping the people... he had met many more who found the one and suddenly their duties changed to being more selfish and it gets used as an excuse or becomes their entire identity. The jedi master remained there seeing Tempest Yore Tempest Yore though as he spoke more and continued to move.

"Three score and ten human lifetimes, for me it moves no faster then for you and when I was imprisoned for my crimes it seemed to move even more at a snails pace." He said it but looking at her as she seemed to be thinking about something else... she seemed to be contemplating him which was helpful for building her skills of insight. He was looking at what she had there though. "But I will share something I have learned in the centuries and it was told to me by a jedi master long ago." He thought about ti and trying to remember the way the conversation went to get the whole of it so she could understand maybe. "Have you ever been in love? Horrible, isn't it? It makes you so vulnerable."

He breathed out a small line of steam. "It opens your chest and it opens up your heart and it means that someone can get inside you and mess you up. You build up all these defenses. You build up this whole armor, for years, so nothing can hurt you, then one person, no different from any other person, wanders into your life… You give them a piece of you. They don't ask for it. They do something dumb one day like kiss you, or smile at you, and then your life isn't your own anymore. Love takes hostages. It gets inside you. It eats you out and leaves you crying in the darkness, so a simple phrase like "maybe we should just be friends" or "how very perceptive" turns into a glass splinter working its way into your heart."

He had a look though checking down at her with his gaze behind the sash in he force. "It hurts. Not just in the imagination. Not just in the mind. It's a soul-hurt, a body-hurt, a real gets-inside-you-and-rips-you-apart pain. Nothing should be able to do that. Especially not love." The jedi master though stayed there and looked at her. "We will have plenty though, you are young and that means you have plenty of time to learn and even more to make mistakes that you will be able to learn from... though if you are going to love someone... if you are going to be open to that be prepared for the downside to such thoughts... they are gong to be a pain."

The young woman felt for his words. She could have replied to him this: "There is love in all things that we do already; is there not? Why be a Jedi if not to lend aid? Would we equally kill those we tend as we would the wholly corrupted? What stops us from doing that? Is it pity? Or is it love?

"Love in the sense of it enveloping one's whole existence is tainted an obsession. Is not the will to be perfect an obsession? Then would not the aspiration to become the perfect Jedi, also be an obsession?

"You do everything out of this love, Master. Life is balanced in love. On the opposite extreme there is the corruption. Can both love and evil sprout out of the Darkside? Can evil sprout out of pure Light? We are the one's who are not flawless. It must exist or there is only doom for the galaxy.

"You do everything out of love, just there are different degrees or stages, names we give it. If you don't live then why share anything of yourself as you do? You teach a ghost about the Force, when all they have to do is step into it to understand it.

"We are like the music. We flow with the life it presents us. Then we evolve to react accordingly. We experience the passions, making judgements and choices along the way."

The 2Cellos began to play their change in tempo.

"Men and women think and are driven differently from one another. Joining together they complete one another, experience life as one, unless they pick one another based on superficial qualities. A lot can be merited from being equally yoked." But Tempest spoke none of her thoughts aloud. Her eyes merely opened momentarily and a jocular glance escaped from them. He would learn her reply through their bond.

What she did speak as she let go of him and her dance evolved wildly with the music is: "Let go, Master Syn Syn ! Just let it all go!"

He was listenign to her and gave a nod of his head to that.. she understood in some ways... there was no one way to look upon it.. there was only personal experience and his colored his views of much. He could feel it and understood before the music changed a little. "You are learning." He stopped but moved them both back along the path up to the higher areas of the cave. The older temple was here and the jedi master rolled his shoulders with a nod of his head. "So what is your plan now? Travel alone or on the Alema?" He said it and well either way worked for the jedi master... they could train and travel or part and meet up again later.

Tempest always felt a little rejected and creeped-out by Master Syn Syn 's ghost ship. His unusual counterpart has continuously voiced strong opinions about her. The ghost would play tricks on her, and hide her things. The ghost of his Late padawan seemed openly covetous of the Jedi Master, and obviously found his current apprentices a threat, at least where Tempest has been concerned. The newly appointed Knight shook her head at the invitation to possibly join Syn on his ship for an excursion. She smiled a bit as she exuded an expression of irk.

In all honesty, the turmoil between Tempest and Syn's ghost made it easy for her to part with him every time. "Thank you, Master, but I sense a calling to return to Coruscant." It had been a long time since she had been to the Core Systems. "I'm going home. I heard an old friend is still around those parts." Tempest received word that Imperator Cedric Grayson had suffered an accident, and she wanted to see him to see if she could help. She doesn't expect he would actually even see her, as it had been a long time since she had any contact with him,. She wholly understands that he is very busy, ruling over a governing faction.

"Thank you for all you have done for me."

The jedi master looked at her and bowed his head as he spoke to Tempest Yore Tempest Yore . "Then be safe and should you require my help you know how to find me Knight Yore." He said it with a neutral expression on his face and waited to see if she had any sort of goodbye.. he wasn't expecting her to have become stoic. He waited and then returned to his ship stretching out as Alema appeared. "So she became a knight now?" THe jedi master turned towards the voice and spoke. "Yes." He couldn't see what she had going on her face but she spoke with what felt like a shrug to her voice. "Hmmm must be nice... not that I am complaining just kind of wish I could travel other places."

"YOu know I do not control you, if you wish it I give you leave to go around and explore while I train." THe jedi master said it as she was near him, the force wrapped spirit bright in his vision. "I know... that is what makes it so... different. You would rather train us with power and see how we react to it. I failed and even then I still did it again." He looked at her and spoke as the ship rose up and started to rotate with the force energy he radiated. "You didn't fail me, what I taught you... what I teach all of my padawans is power. Is the force and it is not my place to say what you can handle it is your own mind and body. You might not have been able to survive but you didn't disappoint me."

The jedi master waited for a moment then continued. "You just needed more trainig and that is where I failed you. While there is a chance that I might not have given Tempest enough... I have no way of truely knowing what she will do. Only knowledge of how much she has grown up." The spirit seemed to think better of it and gave a nod of her head with a smile on her face that they were through with the conversation as she vanished but the ship kicked ito higher gear flying away from the planet.

Tempest stood in front of Master Syn Syn 's ship as it had parked closer to the caves than where she had her own. She felt no awkwardness to jump up, wrap her arms around his neck and pull him down to her level to plant a firm kiss upon his cheek. Whether he knew it by now, understood, or even agreed regarding how much she exalted him, the Jedi Master had long ago become her father figure in life. She then ran off immediately after doing so, disappearing amongst the now heavily falling snow, sporting the same white robes patterned in the style of those he had commissioned for her as a youngling.

Wonder if she might change her style someday, in representation of how times are changing... maybe if it wasn't the only tangible keepsake he ever gave her!
