HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Gelida once served as focal point for The Sith Empire of The Old Republic for crystals for weapons and lightsabers. It befell tradegy when the cold war took place as many pockets of civilization were destroyed from the efforts of the war. Some time after the fall of the Sith Empire, it's society rebuilt and slowly came together again. Darth Vyrassu came here with his Empire and modified the city to fit for his Empire bringing jobs and no signs of hope for the people, but again it wouldn't last.
The 400 year darkness struck caused by the gulag plague and the planet already harsh from severe winter storms only caused more issues. The plague mixed with the harsh snow blizzards killed thousands. Once the plague was over and the galaxy fell into chaos, Vyrassu returned with his Empire to harvest the crystals and too rebuild Gelida. The citizens saw The Jen'ari Empire as saviors.
