Get paid... keep flying (Carliah Dakrone)

[member="Carliah Dakrone"]

The fashion of the world was something else to take in, Revy didn't really know what else to say about all of it while she was walking and letting herself enjoy it. Her mother should be here the crazy lady that she was once the queen of Widek and locked in a dungeon.... Now she had dragged her children half way across the galaxy to something they didn't know and Revy barely did anything with her brother. Or her father or even her mother finding she only was really enjoying this... going out and finding some semblance of her old life while the girl crossed her arms letting her eyes go cold over the marketplace. "Well it could be worse."

Carliah sighed as she followed Revy to the market place. It seemed her daughter was the one most affected by whatever training Balaya had seen fit to give them. She wished there was something could do to reverse her daughter's cruel personality. Now that Yusan was helping her begin to overcome her own psychological damage, Carliah was beginning to notice more and more that Revy was just a tad too unstable and vindictive. "It's really not that bad of a place. Just give it a chance, you may find you like it here." [member="Flint Corek II"]

She turned her head looking at her mother and speaking as she was there. "You took us across the galaxy and for what? We were happy on Widek, we had servants, credits, things... we could ask for things and somehow the servants would find a way to do it. Didn't matter what it was we said it and they would do it." She threw up her arms to indicate. "Now we are here, somewhere in the backend of space with rats for subjects and commoners for servants... and they don't even know how to listen." She crossed her arms finally turning and walk more while picking up some of the material and making a face with it.

"Servants, credits, and the luxury of a palace are not as important as peace, safety, and family. I wanted you kids to have a good life. Do you even fully understand how you came to be with the Sith? I was a member of the Republic once, and then I was kidnapped by Darth Vornskr. You and your brother were stolen from me and artificially aged. In reality, you should both be only six years old right now. The Sith then proceeded to torture me to the point of total insanity. Once that was accomplished they made me one of them, and turned all of my hatred and rage at my circumstance on your father. They had me so convinced that everything that happened to me, to us, was his fault. It took me stabbing the only man I've ever loved to realize that the Sith were wrong. I brought you all here to protect you. A life with the Sith is not a life I want my children to have. Maybe one day, you'll understand," Carliah replied calmly, following Revy. She sighed softly as she saw the look of disdain on her daughter's face. Her own sanity was fragile enough as it is, she couldn't imagine how hard this must be for Revy and her brother. A life in the sith might have been short but she was looking at the materials and almost ignoring her mother.... It was still better then food cubes, rations and being made to do something over her mothers choice. Her hand threw the fabric aside and she was walking while narrowing her gaze. "And while you do all this big self discovery we are supposed to do what? Sit there and cheer you on, pretend a life of living in the muck and filth of the galaxy is pleasing? You didn't do this for us, you did it for yourself. To make yourself feel better, my brother can't even leave the house because he is so scared of the people stealing his precious honor. Our father is doing what he wants and your left alone again. Sith are evil but at least they are honest about being wicked."

"At least her you won't be expected to live as a slave with no collar. We might be bad off now, but it won't stay like this for long. Life can't be perfect all the time. The galaxy is not as black and white as you believe. Your father is working on helping your brother, and I'm trying to help you. I know I haven't been the best of parents, Revy. I'm trying to make up for that, but part of my duty as your mother is keeping you safe. You would never be safe among the Sith. At least here you need not constantly look over your shoulder for people waiting to drive a saber between your shoulder blades. I can't fix things right away. I can't gain our important status back over night. I need time, and you need to learn patience," Carliah continued her lecture, trying hard not to lose her temper. She wanted nothing more than to slap her daughter at this moment in time though. [member="Revy Dakrone"]

Teenage angst levels reaching critical.... "No here I have to worry about some peasant killing and raping me for my shoes." She said it crossing her arms and standing there as some people were looking at them. She was expecting plenty of things though while looking at the people briefly but bringing her attentions back to her mother. "I can feel it you know that rage inside you, you want to hurt me, you want to wring my neck and all I can say is come on do it."

"I won't hurt you, and I won't let anyone else hurt you either. Not ever again. If anyone ever tried to lay a hand on you like that, I will tear them limb from limb. You're my daughter. I will do anything and everything to protect you, whether you hate me for it or not doesn't matter. My job is to be your mother first and your friend second," Carliah replied, staring directly into her eyes. She might be angry, that was true, but she would never harm the people she loved, not ever again. [member="Revy Dakrone"]

Revy was feeling something... Anger was there but also well her mother was doing something for them for once... wrapping it in selfishness possibly but she as at least acknowledging they existed while she was moving forward and she was getting tired. The rush of adrenline from being angry was subsiding and the wanting for a fight going away somewhat. She knew it was still there that pit but she couldn't burn herself out. "Fine then what would you like to do mother?"

"Whatever you want. I was up for just going for a walk, but if you'd rather do something else we can," Carliah replied with a smile, happy to see her daughter was no longer so angry with her. She knew this was far from being the last argument the two of them would have with each other, but she could deal with them as they came. For now, she just wanted to spend some peaceful time with her daughter. [member="Revy Dakrone"]

Revy was looking at her and thinking of what they could do... she didn't have a smile but turning her head around she was glad to see a few things. "Lets go into that bar they have a singing competition and I could use a drink." She turned on her heel and started walking as she stopped for a moment and offered her arm to her mother. "You can buy the drinks, I'll pick the song and we'll bond or something.... maybe."

"I bet I can drink you under the table," Carliah replied with a smile as she took her daughter's arm and they began walking over to the bar. She continued to grin as she walked up to the bartender, grabbing a rather strong drink for herself and turning to look at Revy. "Get what you want, I'm not quite sure what you'd like to drink," She told her as she sipped at her own glass. [member="Revy Dakrone"]

[member="Carliah Dakrone"]

Well that was a surprise and going inside the bar she was looking at it. The dim lighting with the scent of stale beer and other things. She suspected it would be sticky on the tables but she got one and was placing an order for the strongest whiskey they had and charging it to Yusan's credit card with an obscene tip to curry favor. Her mother being blind though they did have to make sure the booth was clean before she was sitting there and looking around. Letting her hair down around her shoulders when it was arriving.

Carliah glanced around the room and smiled. With her new body, she could see and understand colors and as a result, it was one of the first things she noticed about every place she was visited. She sometimes struggled to remember the names of the colors Yusan had taught her, but she was getting better at it. The seats of the booth were a rather lovely green color ((they're yellow, Yusan taught her the wrong names for colors)) she observed as she slid into the booth, drink in hand. "I saw that tip you gave Revy. I hope you plan on helping me run up the bill enough for them to deserve such a large tip," Carliah replied, grinning mischievously. They weren't as poor as her daughter was inclined to believe, but with the way Revy had been behaving, she wasn't feeling very inclined to reveal that fact to her daughter. [member="Revy Dakrone"]

Revy looked at her mother as she had a grin on her face at that, her drinks arriving as she was looking over the comically large glass with frills on it to make it look more decorative. She took a sip of the drink and the icy chill of it was the first thing she felt before the bitter and sweet taste of the alcohol came to her. She was closing her eyes and enjoying it while she looked up at the stage where people were singing poorly and she turned to look at her mother. "Oh I plan to, I'll drown my sorrows in the booze in this place and sing on that stage all about how I like big butts on the stage." She had a grin while getting the holopad with the songs they could sing showing it to her.

"I'll just watch from here while you go... do that. Just please don't make an absolute fool of yourself," Carliah replied, rolling her eyes as she downed her drink quickly and ordered another one. She had no intentions of getting up on that stage at all. Carliah could sing, but she had terrible stage fright. No one had ever heard her sing before and she had no intention to change that at all. Revy could sing to her heart's content, Carliah would simply watch. [member="Revy Dakrone"]

Revy looked at her mother and kind of rolled her eyes mostly because she had wanted to do a mother/daughter bonding experience while she picked a song and saw there was another group of people sitting there as they held grins on their faces. She rose up looking at her mother speaking. "Well fine but if we don't have a healthy relationship it is because of you not wanting to dance on stage and sing." Revy walked over there as the group had lost their fifth member and she was young enough to be able to take over and hey it was a singing thing for drunks.... well she could fit right in as she and them went to the stage after someone was singing and they started. the song from all of them got some cheers and they were up on the stage laughing while they moved about.

"I really don't like singing in front of people. I've always been that way. I'm sure we can find other ways to bond. Harassing your father might work rather nicely as a method of bonding. He's not very easy to annoy, but when he is annoyed it has always proven to be rather amusing," Carliah offered as her daughter walked back to their table. She smiled at her and ordered another drink. Yes, she could think of plenty of fun ways to annoy Yusan. [member="Revy Dakrone"]

Revy finished with the other girls and was moving back to stand back towards her mother as she spoke. "Yeah but dad is always so distracted or seems to disappear for long periods of time and comes back expecting everyone did things for him." She took another drink. "But fine we'll bond the old fashioned way with booze and lot of it." There was a grin on her face now while she sat down drinking from the large glass.

Carliah was on her second drink at this point. She smirked and glanced over at her daughter. "If only there was something we could do to get back at him for being gone so often. Revy, would you care to help me think of a way to prank your father? I was thinking we could put pink hair dye in his shampoo or some such thing. I don't think he'd enjoy having pink hair, do you?" Carliah asked he daughter as she took a sip from her own glass. The woman was still capable of being rather vindictive. [member="Revy Dakrone"]
