New or just visiting, need a break or lost and don't know where to start! Join the open bar! At least that is what the sign fixed atop the otherwise immaculately clean and polished bar reads, to all who stop by to look.
While the large Houk bartender polishing glasses, bends hunched over to serve the gathering crowd, space is made for any arriving with a welcome or accepting glance from those nearby. The bartender's body language is receptive, and he extends a huge hand or a menu depending on your temperament for you to order, food or drink. Seemingly from the attention paid to detail on the selection, no man or Houk alive knows more about the business of eating either! There is usually a comfortable or uncomfortable chair and stool free, even on the crowded days to take the edge off a weary pair of legs.
Music in the background coming from the holobox is low key, present but not drowning out conversation, and if you are that new arrival or first timer to the bar, Gorto hands you out a traditional bowl of dried fruits, mixed spices and nuts of differing descriptions, as a freebie to welcome you to SSC space.
