Grim Decisions

Caius Flavian

Faction Admin - The Galactic Republic
The Shadow Suits were certainly a fine piece of equipment.
If I recalled history correctly many an ole Imperial had fallen to the use of these back in the era of the Galactic Civil War.
I nodded in response to [member="Faith Organa"]'s request.
When Martika offered equipment I had to wonder which entity he was talking about.

"The revival of that particular suit is likely a suitable choice both for Special Forces units and GRIM Operatives. The Prowler on the other hand or a vessel similar to it will cost us a pretty decent amount of credit. We'll have to determine a best method of secluding or mask these expenditures. Lest an audit incidentally reveals this." In my time as an Imperial operative I had come to find that tracking down the money and letting the anysis department cross reference the costs of materials was an tedious but rewarding method of pinning down the enemies intentions.
Taxation talked.
It was a little worse off in an indirect democratic system where transparency was a thing. I hid my frustrations of having to be involved in such a tedious system of governance. I cleared my throat for a moment feigning a cough and looked over to Martika to address a line of thought that crossed my mind... "Arguably we can move in both directions with this sort of relationship. I see little issue in arming Republic friendly organizations with weaponry."

I paused to sip on my tea. Before turning my eyes back to Faith.

"We'll have to determine an adequate budget for all this. At the moment I've assessed that around 1.6 billion credits out of the discretionary spending budget can be devoted to providing the optimal capacity to improve GRIM's operational capacity. What I would like to see is getting more experienced and seasoned operational chiefs rather than just field operatives as well brought into the fold. With the way things are heading I sense that it will be challenging to have just our Director involved in every single operation. I'm not saying a deputy, simply more middle management to aid in expanding the reach and scope of GRIMs capabilities."
