With a deep breath and a heavy sigh, Turin attempted to calm himself and reach out with the Force. Reaching out his hand he touched the ball with the Force. It rolled once, twice, and slowly began to make its way to him. His eyes were shut in deep concentration as he attempted to make the ball rise into the air. Frustration and strain contorted his face as the ball refused to hover any higher than his ankle. "C'mon..." he muttered. But to no avail, the ball continued to hover just between his kneecap and his ankle.

"I told you it would be hard."
she watched him from a spot against a wall.
"Concentrate. Clear your mind except for this one thing."

"This one thing...?" he muttered, his mind slowly began to contort and form into the ball that he was holding. It and only it became his mind, all of his thoughts, everything were focused on this one, small, duraplast ball. As he began to concentrate more on the ball rather than lifting it, the ball slowly made its way to his face. He could feel it, even though his own eyes were closed. Maybe he had a better handle on this than he thought.

For a few moments the ball simply floated in front of his face, the Force holding it up. And then the ball shot straight up into the air and planted itself firmly in the ceiling, chips of concrete landing on his head. So much for that.

Feena didn't sigh or look annoyed by the damage of the ceiling. They were in the training room. This place was made to take damage.
She simply picked up another one and held it out to him.
"Try again," she encouraged gently, "You almost had it."

Focusing once again, he inched the other metal orb to his feet and rose it into the air. This one however fell, nearly crushing his own feet. This process of picking up and dropping or picking up and throwing continued for about another five minutes and then...It was just there. He didn't know how he did it, but the ball that he had been struggling to lift since before Feena had shown up was being kept afloat, and Turin was doing it! He held it there for about three minutes before he let it down, slow and controlled.

She watched him fail again and again with the patience of a saint. Nobody got it the first time, and for many it took weeks to master this. She was not expecting a miracle.
But then, he did it! She smiled proudly, nodding at his achievement.
"Well done," she complemented, "Very well done. You are finished for the day then. You may go. Rest up, because I need you back here at 6 AM tomorrow. Oh! And don't forget about your assignment,"
