Growing Pains

Yet rather than take the opening Trextan gave more ground again. This was partially motivated by an interest in teasing Choli a little bit and also fear of that little grin. What did she mean just his arm? Could she reach out and mess with the training saber as well. She’d already read his positioning and countered effectively. The faint sting across his shin was testament to that.

Trextan narrowed his eyes as he backed away carefully. He was a seasoned duellist, but his heart wasn’t entirely behind the challenge yet. On Coruscant they had been forced to fight over and over. To the winner went pride and more attention from the masters. There was no specific punishment for the losers other than the wounds they walked - or were carried - with. Everyone knew that it was a dangerous position to be seen as weak in that place. Trextan had learned to relish the challenge of each battle, to trust in his own superiority and purpose. That had come crashing down when he had foolishly charged Jacen and but put firmly on his arse.

“I’m still going to complain about ‘cheating’ if you do so!” Trextan protested. He halted his backpedal. Reversing his momentum he stabbed high to try and get her to bring that saber up and then flicked the blade out to her left and back around for her leading leg.

“I call it using all the advantages I have in hand.” There were green lights sparkling in Choli’s eyes, blooming into blue green hues of joyful mirth. The pair grew wide at his sudden shift, coming up to attempt a parry. It wasn’t sight that managed to catch the small hint of movement that suggested he was aiming for her left. No, it was that odd, heightened sense of awareness that barely managed to come back down for the block.

A kaleidoscope of brief sparks and the clashing hum brought their training sabers together. Choli eyes were especially vibrant then, just before she pushed off with all her strength to carry through the locked blades, attempting to have him stagger back.

Now she took the offensive, adding, “You so did the same when you were holding the chips away from me back on Skor!”

“And I call it…” he replied as he brought his saber across his body, “…using my actual hand!”

She might have taken some satisfaction that he had to stop talking as she pressed in. That reverse hand grip was a little off-putting and he was on the lookout for her switching it off and on again as she said she had been trained to do.

“If…” Trextan held his ground and skimmed the centre of his blade down the length of hers, sending a myriad of sparks tumbling and bouncing across the floor. “...you didn’t like…” another clash. Rather than hold the defensive he came down from above and then whipped around again, looking for an opening. He could feel it: the connection between her and the Force. It wasn’t the same as when she was at the controls of a fighter. The connection wasn’t as strong. He still enjoyed seeing her as a fighter, balanced on her feet and with the force.

“Losing the crisps…” their blades locked as she tried to forces his saber out of the way. This time he stood his ground. “How will you feel…” there was a mechanical whir as his arm tried to drive her saber back. His face drew close to hers. He could see the enjoyment in her eyes. “...trudging back with my desert…”

Trextan broke off contact and skipped away. He gave a flourish of the saber and dared her to press the attack. He had a strong feeling he was playing with fire now.

Oh no he didn’t..

Choli felt her lips purse, a narrowing of her almond shaped eyes at the unspoken challenge in Trextan's face, watching how his shaggy hair gave a bounce and settle down. Choli didn’t know about Dun Moch; a method basically taunting the individual to act so as to elicit specific emotional reactions that could perhaps be taken advantage of. In this aspect, for the Rogue, it was just challenging banter. The sort she soaked right up and was quick to dish out her own.

“Hah, please!!” Breathing a bit more heavily, the girl drew in her strength. She could be fast when she wanted to. However, she had to consider just how to act.

“Who was the one who ended on top and winning in the end?!” A lovely mental image for sure, but she was going to remind him who actually won that wrestling match.

“Let me remind you,” the devilish grin was all the warning Trextan received. The fingers around her hilt gave a fan, and then suddenly instead of charging towards him, Choli summoned the Force and went reaching out across the way to tug the Jedi Knight back towards her. Every effort made to yank him along and perhaps lose his balance at the unexpected use of telekinetics. Were he close enough for her to slash at him again with the training saber, she would jump on it. A bit unorthodox perhaps, but hey, she wasn’t a Jedi.

Just a girl with a few tricks up her sleeve.

“Again...cheating…” he said. His chest rose and fell more heavily now. Just a few minutes of this and she had him slightly out of breath. Not as out of breath as earlier on the U-Wing however.

He could all too easily recall that struggle on the sofa. In hindsight it was clear to see that he had a noticed her before she had in turn. It had maybe been as far as when she was still out in the hospital from the crash and he was sitting around being treated and waiting impatiently for her to come around again. She had been thoroughly flustered when he had tried to kiss her. That gave him an idea. One he didn't have time for.

The telekinetic tug caught him off guard and he had to plant his foot, to stop the forward stumble. Her blade whipped around and knocked his own off line, giving her the opening to close the distance, as she had been trying to do since the start of the sparring.

He wasn’t quite steady on his feet. Not yet.

Go.

Choli didn’t wait. Thumb deactivated the saber as she shot forward, the girl flipping the hilt in her hand to a standard one hand grip. With a flourish the Rogue cut short the distance with deft feet, coming in to try and take the advantage given to her in those fleeting seconds. If this worked, then she could be two out of one.

Her swing, came up and tight, lightsaber igniting, the motions making her braid swing wildly at her back and a thin sheen of sweat form over her brow. Breathing spiked, her heart raced. Eyes bright and perhaps a little too early in the smug grin, Choli did her best to keep his saber off to the side with her own, sparks crackling over both of their bodies.

Her right foot came forward, hooking behind his ankle, her left bracing for balance. At the same time, her right hand came jutting out, fingers splayed wide, moving to push him back and try to get him to lose balance and trip back over her foot.

Get in close, use your body, use your energy, but use it efficiently and effectively. That’s what Chloe had told her when it came to fighting this close.

Choli came in with more balance than he had expected. Should have known that given all she had told him during their time together. Fortunately he noticed the foot sliding in to take up position. Over and over Jacen had told him to watch footwork.

He didn't raise his left foot to try and avoid hers, another course of action crossed his mind. She came in quicker and before he could try and drive her back she went for the push.

His eyes opened wide as he started to fall back, but he wasn't quite done yet. His right leg shot up and painfully collided with hers, shin to shin. His relinquished the grip on his saber with his left hand and took a good handful of flight overalls with with it. As he fell back and with a grip on Choli's elbow and hopefully her rear foot kicked off the ground he pulled her down too.

He should have put more effort into staying on his feet given her upbringing of scrappy fighting. He tried to yank her out to one side to at least have a slim chance of not ending up underneath her.

[member="Trextan Voidstalker"]

“Oh dam--” Choli’s curse bled into the grunt that came from her mouth, world spinning as gravity took over and both Trextan and she fell. Chin tucked in, fall proper now. There had been hours, upon hours of fun grappling drills with Chloe. Both the blonde Corellian and Choli began early on to spend the time in between long hyperspace flights, the eldest teaching the younger how to fall, how to use her body, and how to connect with the Force to open up her senses to the dangers that might come at her.

Choli was no where Trextan’s Force level potential. Yet the connection to the Force amplified her senses when it came to adrenaline pumping events such as this one. It had assisted her out in the desert. Did the same when she wandered the galaxy from one planet to the next. Here, it at least allowed her to twist the fall to adjust how she’d land.

Well, sort of.

They both landed hard on their side, the dull ache lancing up her shoulder and back, breath barely in her lungs and her shin on fire. He’d struck her hard, but it was what one had to expect when you got to trading fisticuffs.

Now came the real struggle. Her saber had gone clattering out of her hand, rolling way on the observation room floor, but it gave her the additional freedom to move. He had her by the elbow with the hand of flesh and blood -- but the right?

Oh that is all mine.

He’d feel it. Again, he likely should have made the rules a little more specific about it sticking to simply sabers. A half snort and another grunt and her focus shot out a hammer of her will, wrapping around his prosthetic in an attempt to Force him to roll away from her and onto his back by a mental shove and lock in place along the floor.
Should it prove successful, well, it wouldn't be the first time Trextan had to deal with Choli moving on up.

“Oh come on, he complained as he felt his right arm swing back and unbalance him. It had been the anchor to try and push himself up and get the advantage on the ground. Now the tables were truly turned and he was mildly regretting being so tentative when they were on their feet. He had been intending to draw it out a little longer to see where she was, bit taking her on for the prize of a pudding had clearly been a bad idea.

Yet he was still smiling, almost laughing in fact. With all his will he tried to regain control of his arm. It barely moved. It wasn't really possible to win a ground fight with one lane and heavy arm. Perhaps if he swung his chest around he could slap her with it.

The end game was getting straddled. At that point there was almost no chance of escape. But there was just a little life in his right arm. His fist almost bounced off the floor and the paddle beamer shot up and out. A silvery beam lashed across her left leg as she moved to pin him. With any luck it would go almost entirely numb. A leg for an arm. Trextan kept a grip on her left arm and drew his right knee up to his chest to try and get something between them for some leverage.

[member="Trextan Voidstalker"]

“Not so…” Choli began to huff out, sliding up over him to try and pin him in place. Her braid hung over her shoulder, swinging with her movements.“...smug no-”

She heard the whir and the faint click. She barely had a chance to glance over to his arm when the Paddle beamer shot out and sent its flesh numbing beam right to her left leg. Much like before back in the U-Wing, her leg went completely numb. It spread from the area it had struck along her thigh all the way down over her calf and to her toes. There wasn’t even a tingly feeling to it. It just seemed to turn to a limp noodle of a limb connected to her hip.

“OH YOU LITTLE--” her mouth fell open, shock spreading across her lightly perspiring face. The smug half laugh she had emitted faded into bewilderment followed by a profound desire smack him on his chest. The only thing being that because her leg went limp, there was no way to stop Trextan’s leg from moving in between them as fast as she’d have liked.

“Hypocrite!” She cried out, trying to get her right leg up for leverage and fighting against his own. At this rate he’d be able to push her back or onto her side if she didn’t manage to get control of the situation. From what was supposed to be a semi serious saber spar to the pair now wrestling on the ground for the upper hand, this had gone beyond basic training with an elegant weapon for a more civilized age.

Trextan's expression betrayed just a little embarrassment. He even gave a hint of a shrug. Now there was an obvious technique to use to go from here. The problem was that it required both his arms. He went for it anyway.

He placed his right foot in the groove between her hip and waist. He tugged her right arm down until it was against his chest, so she partially got her wish in a forceful collision. He struggling and wriggled, using his right foot to push upwards to try and escape out from under her. At least if he could free his left leg he could wrap that around her and get even more leverage.

@Trextan Voidstalke

Things could have gone sooo well. She had him. Had him good. Everything would have gone beautifully if it hadn't been for her bum leg. Choli had figured that Trex was going to try and use his foot to shove her but didn't expect him to yank her down.

“Oomph!” The air went out with a rush from her lungs. Grunting and muttering half intelligible sayings, Choli and Trextan fought the fight of the century wrestling and wiggling against each other for victory. If I could just get him--

That was when his left leg went slipping right from under her. Oh damnit! As if sensing he had to act then and there, the Jedi sent his leg curling around her. The ongoing struggle caught her braid, tugging the tie off as choli tried to tug her right arm free from his grasp.

Breath came sawing from her chest and the tide for the pudding prize unfortunately appeared to be swinging in Trextan's direction. Just like that, right foot free!

But Choli wasn't quite done yet!

Trextan was wiggling upwards to try and get out from underneath her. His plan was simple. Although she still had the advantage, he intended to scissor her around the waist with both legs and roll towards his right and try to get back on top. Literally and with regards to the reward for the victory. What would follow he wasn’t entirely certain. Without his right arm he was limited to flopping around on top of her until she gave in perhaps.

As he shifted her braid came lose and he ended up with loose strands of hair all over his face. Perhaps it was the sudden hit of the scent of her hair, but it suddenly struck him what they were doing.

“Pfah!” he went as he blew hair away. Instead of struggling further, or keeping her left arm to his chest - which would have been vital to roll her - he let go of her arm. Instead his hand came up and slowly brushed the length of hair back over her shoulder. Trextan had wanted so much to run his hand through it earlier and had resisted. Now he indulged himself in running his fingers through her thick hair, despite the discomfort of her weight still heavy across his chest.

“Weren’t we sparring?” he asked. Instead of looking for an escape desperately he was meeting her gaze. He was obviously amused by how events had turned out, but there was more in his expression. His blood was pumping from the exertion. His face was a warm red, his eyes wide as they locked onto her own.

Heavy of breath, Choli had been in the midst of wriggling to try and find a way out of her predicament when Trextan let go of her arm. There was a brief sound of victory, a swing of her hair as it waterfalled over them only to find herself freezing at the sensation of Trextan's fingers raking his fingers through her hair.

Hot air went fanning between them and they eyes locked for a moment. It would be a lie to say that the Jedi hadn't thrown her off; he did just not in a literal sense. This time there was no oily residue in his hands and her thick hair seemed to ripple in between his fingers as he combed it back away from her face. Even Choli couldn't help the slight tilt of her head towards his hand when he did it again.

Precious seconds ticked by, both with flushed faces from their struggles of dominance. The corner of her mouth gave a twitch. Had he simply just kept quiet and maybe not brought back to focus that they had been in the middle of a spar, perhaps Choli might have reacted differently. She certainly wasn't complaining about the way Trextan ran his fingers through her hair.

But this was about pudding! Extra rations of pudding.

So when his hand drew back up to sink into her hair again, her free hand went snatching out to try and capture his left wrist. The girl sank herself forward and a little up, attempting to pin Trextan's arm beside his head on the floor, proceeding to wiggle her body against him to try and keep him down. Granted, chest to chest and with their faces so close to one another, it almost mirrored what had occurred back on Skor over the chips. Almost.

Only this time Choli's devilish grin and her, “Yep,” by his cheek was the only forewarning before she impulsively came down to press her lips against his in a quick peck, adding with laden amusement, “And I win.”

“You win,” he replied quietly. Trextan didn't even open his eyes that had closed when she kissed him. She had certainly earned it for determination. For one she couldn't even walk down there to get a pudding after he'd got a little carried away. Secondly he didn't even have the heart to tell her that no one had bothered to give him or Yvette food rations. When they went to the mess they simply got served with what they asked for. Granted, if he want and asked for two desserts there might have been raised eyebrows at his behaviour, but he could always go and get her reward another time.

What had his attention was how she made him feel right now. His blood was already pumping and her forcefully pinning him had sent a surge of longing through him. It almost surprised him. He guessed he wasn't going to end up the dominant one in this relationship.

There was another little niggle at the back of his mind. That unless he could find a way to alter their position she was going to become all too aware of what this all did to him. They were probably passed 'is that a lightsaber in your pocket’ jokes. It was easy enough when they were stood up to tilt his hips away but what was he supposed to do now?

Oh well

Sensation returned to his right arm at her victory. Her left hand stayed against the floor to keep her propped up. Probably because he'd caught her leg with the paddle beamer.

He cautiously twisted his left hand free. He let out a low groan of longing right against her lips as he drew them closer together. No quick peck, Choli's secondary reward was a passionate and deep - but not too deep this time - kiss. He allowed himself to indulge in running his fingers through her hair once more before stroking up and down her back. His other hand stayed firm to her waist, perhaps conscious that with her leg numb she might roll off that way by accident.

Choli was floating high with her win. Adrenaline swam hot her veins, jubilant and triumphant. It was such a heady rush. All in all, the entire escapade was rather silly, but for both teenagers who had relatively precious little chances to act silly, it was a welcomed change.

Yet whatever other thoughts might have risen within the Rogue’s mind were wiped away clean when Trextan brought his head up and captured her lips in an ardent kiss. The victorious grin she had went fading away as she found hers eyes drifting shut and responding in turn. There was a ripple of charged energy that seemed to rush through her, making her nerve endings tingle and a wave of warmth flood over her that had less to do with their recent horseplay and more with the way Trextan kissed her. The hand that had been holding her weight up gave a slight tremble, a sharp intake of breath sucking up through her nostrils at the rake of his fingers once more running through her hair. This time, there wasn’t the destruction of a silly wager to draw her focus away. It was getting easier to become lost in the teenage Jedi’s embrace.

Before she knew it, her left arm began to bend, lowering her upper body and settling herself against Trextan. Her long hair kept getting in the way as both of their heads would cant to the side, allowing their kiss to deepen. This was new. Not the kiss itself, although practice was proving to be the best training, Choli stroking his tongue with her own without the bumping of the noses this time. What was new was the rather intimate position they found themselves in. Part of her was still reeling at the increase of physical intimacy. Being this close, feeling the rise and fall of another’s chest, and the dizzying sensation of having Trextan kiss her was intoxicating. It felt good. Made her feel achy and tingly and want to explore it more.

Was this how the rest felt on the eve of their Marriage Ceremony? Would she have experienced the same with her bloodmate had she’d never been taken away from the clan? It felt a bit strange to be mulling over those thoughts but Trextan managed to push them to the far recesses of her mind the longer he kissed her.

What happens during arousal was not unknown to Choli. She was well aware of the physical changes that came along with it. It was just a bit startling and new to feel the effects on herself as well as Trextan - Baudy Rogue Squadron jokes aside. There was something rather giddy about the guilty pleasure at feeling his lanky body under hers through her coveralls and his Jedi robes. Am I supposed to feel like this?

Ah, but when he touches my hair… Another half thought and an intelligible noise came humming up her throat. She felt his hand smooth over her back and the Rogue couldn’t help but press herself closer, caught between guilty embarrassment and increasing longing.

A tiny voice in the back of her mind gave an insistent poke. One that sounded a bit too much like one flaming maned mechanic and something about doors.

And keeping them locked.

Trextan wasn't held firmly back by self awareness for once. It was there of course. There was always just a little apprehension around any action he took with Choli, though it had become less nerve wracking over time. Right now Trextan was thoroughly swept up in the moment. A number of factors had built some momentum that had been given one last kickstart when Choli had firmly pinned him down and grinned at him in self-satisfaction. It was a mental image he would revisit.

It felt as if there was a weight building behind the dam. The heat of her body pressed against his - in part because of that numb leg they would have to address at some point - was just more fuel for the fire that was burning bright from his own internal furnace.

As he combed his hand through her hair once again he let it rest lightly against her neck as his shoulders lifted from the deck. He didn't need to do that to kiss her, but his body seemed to have turned to automatic and he was just moving in ways that showed how much he was craving every touch.

In a moment that heady high would come crashing down as he remembered where they were. But not before his left hand smoothed her hair down along her spine. It didn't stop and slide back up. It carried right on down. Not to give a squeeze of her bum, but it definitely went there and around until it stroked up the side of her thigh. It was the realisation after the act that he'd just done and a fear he was about to get told off for it that reminded him that they were on the floor of the observation deck. As he broke the kiss he sharply inhaled before letting out a sigh that was half way to a groan of arousal. There wasn't much chance of being caught, but those few who might come here would put him in a lot of trouble if they discovered them like this.

Pupils dilated and face flushed, his hand returned from its little escapade to cup her cheek. There was almost no room between them now and every instinct was screaming to be closer, not to break contact.

[member="Trextan Voidstalker"]

There was a deep shuddering breath that filled Choli’s lungs after they broke contact, errant stranwouldds of both Trextan’s and Choli’s hair fanning beside their cheeks with every inhale and exhale they took.

It took a bit for the Rogue to gather her thoughts. She was a shocked, a little embarrassed, but one glance to his face told her that he was working through the same medley of clashing emotions as well. His fingers at her cheek bore a stark contrast in texture and sensation, feeling both delicate and slightly callused at the same time. Probably due to his training with the saber. They were no different in that sense from her own, as working as a mech and her time in the desert had given her little mounds at the top of her palms and along the length of her fingers.

Swallowing hard, dark almost indigo eyes went peering down at Trextan, a bit unsure and evidently struggling with her own racing mind. None revolved around telling Trextan off for his wandering hands; Choli was a bit more distracted by his near suffering sigh and being caught in the middle of an embrace and the persistent press of his persistence.

Heat flooded her face, and her throat gave a bob as she swallowed hard. Yup. There was no pink Twil’ek with the pizza man to blame for this. It made it all a little bit more real, and honestly, a bit intimidating.

Of course, not like having her leg struck by a paddle Beamer made it easy to pull away. And to be honest, a little part of her didn’t want to. That voice currently went clashing against the one who said that they barely got out of a really bad situation had it not been Lucy who stumbled across them in the U Wing earlier.

Indecision along with a growing sheepish expression rose upon her olive face, her warm and heavy breath fanning along his cheek. Choli opened her mouth, only to close it, lips still slightly wet and tingling from their recent kiss.

“Umm.” Choli gave a slight shift, only to pause with slightly widening eyes. She was likely a sight, hair a mused, thick mess, and that hint of awkward edge returning to the Rogue. The part that brought the reminder that she wasn’t like Tela, Janes, or Omar.

Slowly, her eyes fell from Trextan’s angular features and gave a little trail along the length of their bodies. One attempt at moving her numb leg confirmed it. There was no moving it.

Glancing back up, the weight of his fingers at her waist along with the cupping of her cheek made her blush a bit further. The bawdy mocking quips about Trextan being a religious man and a monk were so heavily squashed that there was no denying what his body wanted of her.

“... umm…” the word went reverberating against her chest and onto his. Pearly white teeth came down to bite her lower lip. Her palm along the floor gave a little flex and she finally said, in an abashed tone,“I won’t be able to walk right now.” not with her leg numb from the paddle beam.

Ah, this was so awkward. How did Janes even do this? Or Lucy?

Time seemed to stretch through those awkward seconds. Neither seemed to want to speak. Both hung in the balance. He'd stopped kissing her and pulled away because some sensible part of his mind had picked up a pail of cold water and threatened to throw it over him. But the heat was still there. When she bit her lip it took all his self control to stop himself from pulling her back down and letting his hands roam all over her coveralls.

“Oh? Oh.” He remembered why he had been trying to get out from underneath her earlier. Now matters were even worse. How were they going to move away from this together?

“That was...sorry,” he said, his lips twisted to one side. Whilst his mind was on the practicalities of the situation and the blooming embarrassment his left hand once again moved from her cheek back through her hair.

The growing smile betrayed that he had thought of a solution. Trextan took his hands from her with no small amount of reluctance. He concentrated on the Force. Doing this properly and with balance took some skill.

Once his hands were free Choli would feel her weight lessen. It wasn't a particular tug from any place. Trextan had to find and shape every part of her in his mind to buoy her weight. A moment later and Choli would feel almost entirely weightless. In hindsight this would have been a more sensible way to take the edge back in their struggle.

“There we go,” he said. He took her waist and gave a light push and she was floating up away from him. As she went he took a knee and stood up slightly awkwardly, trying his best to subtly shift his clothing to no avail. Well, if she hadn't noticed it before…

He took her hands as he stood up, pulling her now weightless form back towards him. His gaze turned to the chairs in the room and then back to her. It was just difficult to look elsewhere right now

[member="Trextan Voidstalker"]

Just like that, the situation took another unexpected turn. A kaleidoscopic swirl of colors displayed the backdrop of emotions from the Rogue. Turbulent indigo to bemused viridian and finally mirth filled jade.

Not quite where Choli expected things to go but the evening was already full of surprises. Maybe it was for the best. Trextan wasn't the only one affected by their circumstances and even her own coveralls felt rather stifling.

Face a bright red and arms waving a bit until her drew her back, Choli did her best to try and avoid having her gaze swivel back below Trextan's shoulders, adding for the sake of breaking the rousing tension between them with a,” Well that's one way to go zero gravity. “

The more curious part of her nature came to the fore, pushing back the recently acquired mental voice who had wanted to continue exploring guilty pleasures.

“Are you actively concentrating on this?” Unlike in zero gravity, her hair wasn't floating around her head, but that didn't mean that the waist length tresses weren't going off in all directions. It swayed along her back and down her shoulders, framing her exotic features as she tried to remain somewhat upright.
