"We should get crystals on Ilum, or maybe on Ossus! Aris was telling me that he read Ossus has crystal caves, too," Vera said with a big nod. "That way, they have a heart to sustain the runes." Did it work exactly like that? She wasn't sure, but Dad mentioned the crystals for a reason, and crystals were also the heart of a lightsaber.

Maybe they'd be the heart of these Golems as well.

But even Vera soon noticed that it was getting dark, and feeling her Mom and the little ones approaching snapped her attention that way too. First, the triplets appeared with their arms wide. They were all grins and smiles, and ran over for hugs from their big sister and father.

"Vera!"

"Daddy!"

"Veraaa!"

Valery snickered while they scattered, and walked over to Kahlil. This time, though, she didn't lean in for her usual peck on the lips or cheeks. Nope, her nose and mouth stayed neatly tucked into her shawl and coat.

"It's cold."

"We could go to Ossus and find some Kyber." It'd made sense to use Kyber for certain. And given Ilum and Vera finding her first crystal herself with Aris, it could be fun to go along with her to find some Kyber to help awaken, much like his familiar. A Familiar housed in the body of a golem, using runes to function and protect. It wasn't a bad idea in the slightest. And they could ask the Kyber itself if they wanted to help before they even picked them up.

Given the nature of Kyber, though, he had a strong feeling that they'd very much want to help.

Kahlil crouched down to pick up and hug the triplets before letting them run off to Vera, then smirked towards Valery.

"A little, I suppose. Too chilly for you?"

Vera grinned, "Yes! Do you think we should ask Aris to join us, too? Or Mom?" Vera loved having her moments with Dad, but she wouls always consider the rest of her family, too. Ossus was a planet with a lot of Jedi History, so she was sure that Aris would also love to see it for himself!

Maybe they could visit some cool places, get a crystal, and have a good time as family while also being productive at the same time.

But for now, it was time for hugs first. After Kahlil had hugged her siblings, Vera walked over and gave them all a hug, before she started to show off what they were working on. Naturally, the idea of a giant golem excited the little Nobles too.

"You know me, I get cold hands easily and I don't like using the Force for everything." She held out a cold hand for him to take, and gave him a cute, pleading look.

"I heard Vera wants to go to Ossus with you?"

"Maybe, but not this time. This is our project." His and hers, not Aris, not Valery. It was important that she knew there was some things that were just hers. That she didn't need to share with anyone else. Golem creation would be their thing. He didn't hesitate to take Valery's hand when it was offered though, smirking towards her. Of course she was still cold. It wasn't too surprising to him.

"Yeah. We're going to get some Kyber. Make some golems."

She liked that idea a lot.

They would always have their family things, no matter what, but now she finally had something just for her and Dad to focus on! A project that made her feel like she was good at something unique as well. Sure, she had her visions, but they always made her feel like she was just there in the background, to be forgotten while others actually used what she saw to make a difference.

Not this time — Vera Noble was going to help make something truly special!

"She seems very excited about it," Valery said while she interlaced fingers to warm herself up. She then pulled his hand into her pocket and looked up at him with a grin. "It's great that you've got her all hyped up, you know. You've earned that Number 1 Dad mug." She bumped her side into him and sighed happily.

"You two should go soon. I can stay home with the kids and handle everything here. I'm awesome like that~" She said just a little smugly. "Just... take your time and have fun with her."

"We'll probably go at some point, but there's a lot of ground work to do before we bother the Kyber with our intentions. Once we've got the sequence down and we're sure a Kyber could act properly, we'll head to Ossus to start phase two." They were in no rush. He certainly wanted to take her there right away, but there was a lot they needed to figure out before they could. Kyber was as alive as they were.

If things went wrong, they'd only be harming the Kyber.

"Might go early just to focus on the designs on Ossus, though. Perhaps an awakened Kyber might be able to help guide us more."

Valery rolled her eyes a little.

"You should go early," Valery said with a chuckle. "I'm not going to pretend like I fully understand your project, and I get that you know better than anybody how to do it most efficiently. But... just look at her, babe." Valery glanced over her shoulder at Vera, who was still telling her siblings all about her project with Dad. It made the young Noble so proud, and she was immensely excited to go on adventures and make their project grow!

"I'm sure she'd understand if you want to get the crystal later, but maybe set up a little workshop there? I'll visit separately with Aris sometime to see your progress and show him around some ancient Jedi sites. But it'd just mean the world to her if you took her on a trip like that."

She squeezed his hand and smiled up at him.

"Our little star wants to feel like a real Jedi."

"Alright, alright. I'll make sure to go early then."

Kahlil chuckled a little as he watched Vera. Valery was right. It'd be better to go sooner than later, especially since yeah, it would be good to let Vera feel more on what it's like to be a Jedi before she was off to be with her own Master. "We'll go, but that'll mean we'll be away for a bit just so you know."

"I know, I know. You're really going to miss me," Valery said with a smirk, even though she'd miss him just as much, if not more. Sleeping without his warm embrace wasn't nearly as comfortable, especially not in these colder months. But for just a little while, if it'd make her little star this happy, she could endure.

"Set up a workshop, spend a little while there, and then I'm sure you two can travel between Ossus and home, right?" Now it was her turn to show that she didn't like having them away too long.

"I'll definitely come visit with Aris sometime, but I can't have you two away from home too long..."

"Oh we can travel. It'll more be.. Remembering to."

Kahlil glanced after Vera, smiling ever so faintly this time. "She takes after us both, as you know. What she takes after me is that absolute focus on what she's trying to accomplish. Hopefully she won't forget the world around her like I do, but it's possible." He reached up then, gently to pat the top of Valery's head with a wider grin this time around.

"So make sure to remind us, yeah?"

Valery looked at him when he patted her head, "I will, but...." she pouted and let out a soft sigh. "I don't like the idea of being forgotten about, by the people I love the most," she said, and she sounded just a little bit sad over it. "I get the focus and I want you two to have your thing to have fun with. But... yeah," she chuckled and shook her head at how ridiculous she probably sounded.

"I don't want to feel like I need to remind you to come home."

She squeezed his hand a little harder and turned her gaze down to her own feet as they walked back home. Vera was too busy with the triplets to really notice anything, and that was probably for the best.

"There is nothing more important than you, you know."

Kahlil reached up, gently ruffling Valery's hood as they walked. "You're not being forgotten. That's not what I mean in the slightest. But when I do focus on something, I don't think about anything else. That's just how I am." He smirked a little, wrapping an arm around her waist to keep her close as they walked. "I usually need to set reminders so I still eat and drink, for example."

All the weight on her heart, that tension in her chest, faded instantly when he told her she was most important. She turned to him with a warmer smile, her head held high again, and chuckled when he ruffled her hair. Long strands of her hair fell in front of her face for a messier look, but she didn't seem to care in the slightest, this time.

"That...makes sense," Valery said, and it sounded a lot more recognizable too. If she really got into her combat training, she often forgot about the time too, and could easily end up skipping a meal because of it.

"I love youuu," she then added while he pulled her closer by the waist. Vera saw this too, and reached for the hands of her siblings before quickly moving around her parents to head home. She wasn't going to stick around for lovey dovey Mom or Dad.

"Sorry if I was being dramatic about it. I'm very happy that you two will have a fun project," she said while she leaned into him. "Maybe... I'm just a bit jelly." She chuckled at the thought and looked up at him with a smirk. She'd just have to get her attention now, and whenever she got him back home.

"I don't see why you're jealous. There's no one more important to me than you, you know."

Kahlil casually bent over to lift her up in his arms, smirking playfully in the process. Vera had already ushered the triplets inside from what he saw, so why not tease Valery a bit before they made their way inside. "We'll leave tomorrow, so we have tonight just for ourselves, mm?"

"I can't help it," she admitted with a sheepish smile. "Maybe I'm just wired that way." Luckily, he knew just how to solve that problem, and lifted her up into his arms the he always did. Valery smirked playfully in return, and waited for the door of the house to close, before pulling him into a kiss.

If he was going to leave tomorrow already...

"I'll put on that new set you seem to like," she flirted with a waggle of her eyebrow. "Have the kids go to bed, and it'll be just you and I..." She tapped her fingers against his chest and snuggled up. "Maybe the two of us should visit the Ossus Temple as well on a day off. It'd be interesting and... fun."

"We could, yes. I always love our trips together after all."

Kahlil smirked a little more playfully this time as he leaned down into their kiss. Then just wandered his way inside with a chuckle. "But for now, we focus on our night, mm?"
