- Demographics: The small moon is inhabited almost entirely by Corellian Naval Intelligence staff, operatives, and agents.
- Accessibility: The moon isn't hidden, however its lack of resources outside of ice and its inhospitable climate have essentially made it a place no one would WANT to go. Corellia keeps it under a strict no fly zone however to "Preserve the beauty of its last natural gem". In reality special codes are required to enter its no fly zone, all of which are held almost exclusively by Corellian Naval Intelligence.
- Description: Gus Tralva is a starkly different kind of moon to its brother and sister moons. Covered entirely in ice with an atmosphere that only allows for the formation of more ice in the form of hail, Gas Tralva was never settled and held no native flora or fauna. This was simply due to the fact that it got so cold on the moon and though there was plenty of water in the form of ice, the deadly hail and electrical storms that plagued the planet made it inhospitable. The surface was dotted with massive mountains of pure ice. The only glimpse of what could have been life on the planet were wrecks of ancient vessels, encased in ice having crashed thousands of years ago. Due to the electrical and hail storms on the planet, most modern sensors and communication devices couldn't penetrate the atmosphere, though some more primitive devices and scanners could pierce the veil the moon was so small and insignificant even in Corellian history that it wasn't even seen as a potential resource hub. The material in the dormant core of the moon was believed to be a blend of similar minerals and metals as its sister moons.
SECURITY: Maximum
The moon is patrolled by the Corellian Navy at all times. While such assignments were seen as boring, their presence couldn't be more important. Should the patrol be bested in combat or a ship simply slip through, powerful surface to air ion cannons defended the moon, hidden in natural and artificial ice mounds. The continuous hail and electrical storms on their own made flight extremely difficult without extensive observation and tracking of weather patterns as the hail that fell could vary in size from bolo balls to full sized starfighters. Electrical storms made the use of traditional sensors and scanners all but useless and they could easily derail assisted flight protocols and make flight inadvisable, especially in high winds.
HISTORICAL INFORMATION
Gus Tralva was the third moon in the "Gus Triplets". Believed to have been moved into place at some point by Centerpoint station like much of the system was theorized to be, its icy landscape and dormant core suggested an accident or deliberate sterilization during its galactic shift. The moon thus had no strategic or economic value to the people of Corellia and was given a name during the Imperial Era only to satisfy consolidated and updated starcharts for the Galactic Empire. The moon would remain forgotten until some point prior to Corellia's liberation from the Imperial Bloc Treaty after the formation of the New Republic. During its time as a vassal of the Sith Empire under the treaty, a splinter of CorSec intelligence operatives secretly built a state of the art military facility inside the ice of the planet and essentially took control of the moon and re-branded itself as Corellian Naval Intelligence. This would eventually become their unofficial headquarters and the training facility for several of their harshest training programs.
After its liberation, Corellian high-command understanding the value of the moon to some extent declared the moon a National Treasure and restricted all flight around the moon at the request of Corellian Naval Intelligence. Now fully integrated into the re-constituted Corellian Defense Force, Corellian Naval Intelligence established strict codes and rules of engagement around the moon, shooting down and secretly cleaning up any would be sleuths. The first class of Corellian Darksabers were trained on the icy moon and various other secret projects were started and run on the moon.
