Guten Tag

Now I can't help but wonder who you are, lol.

There have been several sadistic Sith out there. I wrote one myself. Anubis has kind of gotten in with the wrong crowd at TGC, though. His current character is just not up to snuff with the old ones.

I started playing Kamon at TGC in 2001. He's always been my main face, but I've had several alternate ones, including Meric Nadun (my only other Master who is the sadistic Sith I mentioned that I've played).

Strange, you think I'd know you, but sadly, the name doesn't ring a bell. I was there under the account name aslyndenethorn, and played that character, occasionally also known as the Sith Lord Darth Tirdarius, when under their roof. Got banned the same time as Darron Wraith, and then dropped back in a few years later and promptly got bored with the 2-sentence writers... And Ceel, naturally :p

Sounds likely enough! And yes, he does, which is another thing that always really ticked me off. Never seen a book sold on two sentences, so you're not going to see truly good writing in two sentences, either. That a paragraph containing more than 3-4 was considered astonishing work by some really just annoyed me.

Luckily, we seem to have inherited a goodly number of the decent writers, and I'm thankful for it :)

I like you. :p

That's a good rule of thumb :) I find there's always sufficient nuance that can go into a situation with every post - after all, a person will think, perceive, speak and act. Surely there's got to be more than a few sentences worth of material when you consider it all.

The Gungan Council. An old and popular RP site that is run by a very autocratic guy who tends to want things his way. Anyone else can take the high way, usually by force...
Ah okay, thanks for the info.

There's a good reason for that. To start with, it's well known, which means it attracts a lot of bad writers - they're not bad people as such, but they are usually just starting out with their writing, and that forum does nothing to encourage them to improve, since the ideology of the site focuses a lot on short, snappy posts that are produced at the rate of ten per hour. Combine that with Ceel's tendency towards being over-zealous and dismissing anything that wasn't in one of the movies, and you've got a bad site.

Fortunately, it does have some awesome people, and because it's a community site, those people tend to reach out to each other pretty fast and create some beautiful things that set them apart. We're very lucky in that we've inherited many of them here :)
