There's a good reason for that. To start with, it's well known, which means it attracts a
lot of bad writers - they're not bad people as such, but they are usually just starting out with their writing, and that forum does nothing to encourage them to improve, since the ideology of the site focuses a lot on short, snappy posts that are produced at the rate of ten per hour. Combine that with Ceel's tendency towards being over-zealous and dismissing
anything that wasn't in one of the movies, and you've got a bad site.
Fortunately, it does have some awesome people, and because it's a community site, those people tend to reach out to each other pretty fast and create some beautiful things that set them apart. We're very lucky in that we've inherited many of them here
