Strengths:
- Resilience: Mandalorian Iron is both exceptionally resistant and dense. While heavy, this metal is ideal for resisting energy-based attacks. The Beskar makes up the majority of the suit's defensive capability, giving it an extreme resistance to both blasters and blades, it is even capable of fending off the blade of a lightsaber.
- Kinetic Defense: The Beskar that this armor is defended by has a minor interior padding to help stave off kinetic damage. While this is not enough to greatly reduce the damage taken, the suit comes well equipped to deal with kinetic damage. The major parts of the armor have Thermal Gel inserts. These gel inserts provide a defensive shield against kinetic damage.
- Technologically Advanced: The modern soldier must be equipped with modern weaponry. This set of Beskar'gam is well equipped with technology to help the warrior destroy his enemies. There are a number of systems and mechanics which help the warrior maintain the edge in combat.
- Anti-Sensor Coating: Nightshadow was originally designed for starships, allowing them to remain undetected by most sensors and tracking systems. While the Anti-Sensor coating is not as effective when in-flight it will allow the armor to remain difficult to detect by most sensors, targeting computers, and tracking systems. The coating is particularly good when used against active scanners.
- AI Compatible: For the best results this armor has a slot where it can store an AI program that can keep a constant eye on it's many systems. The AI will have full access to the suit of armor and can even remotely pilot it for a temporary time in the event that the wearer passes out or is rendered deceased.
- Rechargable Power Supply: While the Beskar does require a dedicated supply of power to remain fully functional, it has the ability to recharge it's power cell. The Rylith Power Cell is capable of being charged with solar energy. This requires direct solar exposure, starting a recharge process that could take up to an hour to fully complete. Once fully charged the armor has a half-life of twenty-four hours when using minimal systems. Utilizing the more advanced features such as deflector shields, jammers, magno-grip boots, and the jetpack can drastically drain the armor's battery life.
- Fluid speech: To accomodate the modern soldier the helmet is also host to a vocabulator that effectively translates Galactic Basic into a number of additional languages such as, Hutteese, Rodian, Shyriiwook, and much more. It is capable of scanning a language and slowly translating it in the vocabulator to allow the soldier to learn languages on the fly as opposed to loading them into the vocabulator manually.
- Interior Bodyglove: Armor within Armor, it is extremely difficult to breach the outer shell of this set of Beskar'gam, however even if you do the interior bodyweave is a powerful protective layer. Particularly effective against lightsabers, the armorweave is designed to be the last line of defense against an enemy assault.
- EMP/ION Susceptible: There is next to nothing to keep the armor's systems safe from an ION based attack. Although the technological systems are hard-wired to be hardy against defection, they can still be knocked out with a proper EMP burst or ION targeting.
- Conductible: Beskar'gam and Titanium are very conductive metals. As the Armor is neither hardened against electricity or properly grounded out it can conduct electricity to the pain of the wearer.
- Sonic Weakness: A particular downfall of this set of Beskar'gam is it's weakness to sonic based attacks. Sonic weaponry has been known to play hell with the armor's advanced systems and be noticably effective on the wearer.
- High Power Requirement: Due to the number of systems jammed into the armor, an active power cell is required to run them all in unison. If the power cell is fully depleted the suit will go into a reserve power mode. While in reserve power mode the HUD will be simplified and most parts of the armor will be unusable. It takes nearly an hour for the armor to be solar charged back to full power.
- Heavy: Beskar is a dense iron, making for a Heavy set of armor. Even though the armor plates used on this beskar are slightly thinner than most, they are still very heavy. This means the armor is not ideal for long-distance travel on foot, climbing, or excessive mobility. While it allows for decent maneuverability it is not smart to continually exert yourself in this Beskar'gam as it will quickly drain your energy.
Originally Haastal's Verd's Beskar'gam was forged on Concord Dawn where the warrior was born. Haastal was sixteen when he created his first set of armor and even then it was an impressive set of beskar'gam. He had designed it in the traditional fashion of his people, with a vibrant T-shape visor and shining steel-like plates. The original set of armor was black and green to show Haastal's faith in justice and his duty as a Mandalorian Protector. As the years passed and the man grew older the color scheme would change a few times, but in the end he decided on a more flashy silver and blue. Some wonder if the silver is meant to be a grey that hints to Haastal mourning his lost wife, but he has never offered specifics.
Haastal Verd died, passing his armor on to the man who would replace him in clan Verd. A Mercenary by the name Achilles. When [member="Isley Verd"] believed Achilles took his oath to replace Haastal seriously he passed the older man's Beskar'gam on to Achilles, along with Haastal's name.
Now, as the new Haastal Verd, Achilles has made a number of changed to the armor. He updated it's systems, making them more in line with his own Archangel-Class Strike Armor and he removed a number of things such as some weaponry he deemed archaic and the suit's eviroliner which gave it a noticable resistance to elemental effects. As the new Haastal he did not change the armor's color scheme, instead he has decided he will work to become more like the Mandalorian who saved his life. Donning the Beskar'gam Haastal has learned to adhere to the first of the six Mandalorian tenants.
