Halting the Gears (Republic Dominion of Gratos)

The crunching of a bone that was vaguely humanoid under his heavy armored boot was the onlu sound he had heard for some time. He knew he wasn't alone and he knew that the ugly beast people known as Graug knew he was there.

He had come because unlike many younger vode.

Ordo knew Sith would never disappear. They would do the samething the vode wpuld have done, ba'slan shev'la, strategic disappearance. The only way to get rid of them wouls be to hunt them all.

 

[Antares]

He continued to follow her along the path that she had decided to take. North. He was fine with that, anywhere was fine, as long as he wasn't at the front lines. No matter how much he wanted to be there, he still remembered on the planet of Troiken when his guard was broken and he had taken a blaster bolt. That wasn't going to happen again here, so he decided to stay away from the combat for a while.

"So you will be able to scare them away, then, Master Liadain?" He said with a grin. Obviously a joke, but he knew she was powerful enough. She was a Jedi Knight after all.

At the distance they were at, at the moment he felt no disturbances within the Force and he continued on as if there was nothing wrong with the planet.

[Alan]

Darin threw off his cloak, as the Graug forces came to him. He held his lightsaber at his side, and then brought it up to his waist, and bent his knees slightly. The Graug were fierce and hardy opponents, but were part of the Sith. Darin knew that surrender was not in their nature, so that aspect of an outcome for this situation was not likely. Darin put on his usual stoic face, and then sprang into action, slicing at the first Graug, his lightsaber cutting a thick swath across his chest, before he turned to the next. Utilizing the shiak method, his blue lightsaber came turning in his palm, before it twisted around him, and he put his back against a Graug, while his lightsaber went straight through his chest.

Pivoting on his right foot, he brought his lightsaber in a horizontal zone 1 attack in the sai cha fashion, and the corresponding Graug's head swiftly flew from it's body. Darin stood amongst several dead Graug, and he closed his eyes, resisting the temptation to find joy in the combat. He breathed in deeply for a long while, before turning on his heel, and slamming his blade towards an incoming hail of bolts. Out of the corner of his eye, he spotted a...Mandalorian. He was weary of Mandalorians, they had a rocky relationship with Jedi at best. He respected them, but he was also cautious. A Jedi always expected betrayal.

[Preliat Mantis]

Preliat, had come for one simple reason: Ordo was here. That was honestly, the only reason. He could care less about the Republic, and he actually didn't like them creeping on their borders. Made him rather nervous. That would be fine with him, he knew that something built on the bones of another Empire would crumble. You can't build something on ashes, and with the expansion of the Republic, the clock was simply ticking until someone came along and kicked the beams down. Preliat smiled, because that might be soon.

Moving with Ordo, Preliat held his M45 over his chest, the heavy, HEAVY blaster doing wonders against the Graug. Ori'ramikade were a select few, and their capabilities in combat were fierce, to say the least. The title was not given, it was earned. Preliat spoke after a while."Sometimes I wonder who our next enemy will be.."

Ordo increased his pace as the sound of a jettise'kad came to his ears. He was not looking forward to the possible problems that posed. He hadn't asked to join them and didn't plan to meet them here. Besides if word got back to Ri'ika he had gone on this trip solo she'd be having a chat with him, and he'd deserve it.

Ordo saw the blue flashes of the Jedi's weapon as he ended the pitiful lives of some of the Graug.

"Little chakkar's got gettse. Mir'osik but gettse." The realization that he had no place to talk found him quickly and he opened fire on more Graug warriors that had come out to say hello. The 7.62 mm rounds from Ordo's assault rifle closed the space faster than a squib full of caff and began removing parts of the beast warriors bodies.

He kept moving while he fired in semi-auto to conserve ammo. Between the jetise and the Mando 12 Graug now littered the ground.

"Are you lost from the herd!?" He said his voice sounding mechanical and cold through his buy'ce. "Those shabla things could eat your jetise shebs!"

The broad shouldered Mando checked the dead Graug and began heading for the cave openings.

"Come on blast it!" he said to the jedi "might as well die with us inside than out here with your glow stick."

A flip and a movement of his feet as all the young Jedi needed to reach the Mandalorian. He didn't say anything, but he did deflect a hail of bolts coming towards them, and then moved further into the cave. He deactivated his lightsaber, and remained silent for an uncomfortable time before speaking.

"I am Darin Khel."

"Ordo," The big man said as he scanned the area back and forth with his rifle pressed to his shoulder and ready to fire. "and my Vod."

Ordo didn't give Preliat's name. That was up to him if he wanted to deal with the Jedi or not. They were Sith/Graug hunting anyway not Jetiise sitting. The HUD in Ordo's buy'ce cycled through the vision modes with a blink and Ordo noticed the heat as they moved made thermal vision modes a little unreliable. It looked like they would be finding their prey the old fashioned way stalking them.

 

[Orihime Ike]

Orihome had arrived with her mother but was strictly told to help on the ship. The graug were dangerous in a fight and that was why they werent allowing her down there but she could help the captain of the ship with things like caf and reports. The jedi were here to aid the troopers but the graug she had seen were able to shrug off most damge from blasters short of heavy cannons and not every trooper was built to carry those. Or orbital strikes but those weren't a good way to show they were friends. "Mister captain sir I will go and get you and the bridge crew some more caf okay."

 

[Kira Talith]

OBJECTIVE -- Secure a location for ally and civilian extraction and base of operations! Likely end up fighting remaining Graug forces.

Kira gave a small snort, setting down the stakes in a line, approximately ten meters from the last one. With a wink and a small mocking flex of her bicep, Kira answered with a grin.

"Ahh yeah... come on.. after all this time... don't you just instinctively fear me, Windu?" she joked as she set down another stake. Perhaps what was out there had been scared away from the tiny blonde, for whatever unknown Sith lurked there, had not revealed her face yet.

Good for her! Means we can continue this perimeter!

[Nameless Knight]

ON THE PLANET MAKING GRAUG EXTRA CRISPY

Knight had both of her hands out and focused with the pink energy, the smoke coming off the chests of the graug soldiers who were charging at her more then enough to buy her time when she jumped back and fired the bolter into the knee of one of the beasts and these were beasts. Her hair whipped back and around until she was in position to fire again into a charging enemy that the soldiers could take down. "Keep pressing forward they make their homes underground."

They were in the caves now. The dark stale air smelled of Graug and there various spawn. Ordo wanted them dead and also was proving to himself he deserved to be Ori'ramikade.

The caves were a twisted and dark just like the beast that use them as their lair. He stalked the cave and his mind ignored every other thought outside of seek and destroy. This was wet work pure and simple. What ever the Jedi did he would see this place cleaned or he'd die trying.

"Forgive me for asking, but may I ask what a Mandalorian is doing here? Not that I am unappreciative of the help, just seems odd that you're here."Darin said, using the blue blade to light up the dark cave for the two of them, wading through the encroaching darkness and the general darkness, both physical and through the force. The planet was inherently dark sided, thanks to the Sithspawn, the Graug, and more importantly, the lingering presence of Krag and the Sith who had been here for many of a years.

"I'm hunting Dar'jeti." Ordo replied "which is what you should be doing."

Ordo kept moving and stopped to check down a side shaft before continuing. It was quiet. Too quiet and Ordo had a bad feeling. A crunch in front of them was all Ordo needed to know things were about to get ugly.

"Move!" He said to the jedi.

 

[Vexander Graves]

ON THE PLANET - IN THE FRONTLINES AGAINST THE GRAUG

Strong and vicious creatures, once sentient beings with their own objectives and views... now shells of their former selves with the only purpose to serve what is left of the Sith. Some might try to reason with them, but the truth was that they wouldn't listen to reason, they would just listen to the Sith that mutated them into what they were.

Vexander's team was a support team, their mission was to cover the advance of the troops to the settlements below ground. Armed with Cover Operation suits and sniper rifles, they were shooting priority targets... usually, Vex would be leading them and helping with his own rifle, however; the Sithspawns were no match for Republic troops alone, Jedi had to help in the charge.

Swinging his cyan lightsaber with all his might, the corellian fought the mutations not far from @[member="Knight"] who was also engaged against the aberrations of the Force. Her command was clear and she was right, they had to press forward. Flourishing his blade, he cleared the inmediate perimeter of enemies while he looked around to see the Republic Advancing.... but by the time he once again retook the charge, he noticed a couple of graugs heading towards him spitting saliva and grunting like a beast would. With a quick dodge, the young man let the first graug pass above him while he aimed at the lower part of the legs of the second graug and moved the blade upwards a bit to cut all the way up and straight to his chest, almost inmediately, Vex turned around and used telekinesis to perform a lightsaber throw straight to the back of the first graug.

Clearing out the danger he had for the time being, he signaled his own sniper team to press forward alongside the rest of the Republic Forces. "Hawk Squad, move forward, remain in the high grounds and provide cover to the ground troops. Watch friendly fire..." it usually went without saying, but still; being extra careful was a must in this line of business... and he expected the team to be the best of the best in battle. After he received the acknowledgement from all of them, Vex proceeded to move forward and to head straight to the graugs with his lightsaber on hand and still determined to erradicate such pest from the galaxy.

[Balaya Praelior Zambrano]

Balaya moved seeing the jedi coming as she stomped a foot into the ground and moved with a grin. Her saber activating while it sang, her muscles bulking in a show of rage. He could feel the jedi now while she moved with a small group of graug and prepared to fight the jedi. They were establishing a foothold on the world that Krag had mostly taken offworld. Somewhere into the unknown regions with Kaine but some were left to fight any who tried to take the world. That was the plan at least when she shouted into the air. "JEDIIII"

 

[Vexander Graves]

A powerful scream that seemed more like a warcry and at the same time, a call for battle against a Jedi. Almost inmediately, the Corellian Knight raised his sight to meet the eyes of the sentient that called them to battle... and once that he did, he managed to see a Sith with a red lightsaber ignited and defying the Republic advance... that girl was definetely the Sith gathering all those sithspawns against the civilian population and the reason why the Republic had to intervine.

Touching his hear and activating his com-link, the young man signal the whole Hawk Squad "Hawk Leader, this is Vex, concentrate firepower on the graugs around the Sith... I'll handle the girl." With a simple acknowledge, the team aimed at the graugs and opened fire through their higher position, sniping them down from afar while the rest of the Republic troops were engaged against the nearby graugs.

The volley of fire opened the path around the Sith for Vexander to run at her and meet her face to face with his Cyan blade ignited and in his right hand.

Close to his enemy, the young man fixed his eyes in the Sith and noticed her beauty... it was hard to think that a girl like her would be a ruthless Sith charging against Republic troops and commiting all kinds of injustice, but in the end, you can't judge a book by the cover...

"Well hello there Sith... I guess that the Empire left you behind?"

[Ayumi Pallopides]

Ayumi slammed a fist on the console while she looked at it all. The screens showing a tactical read out and her face partially obscured by a visor until she spoke. "All units we are showing seismic activity down there, be careful. The graug like to build underground and might have sinkholes." She continued to look at the screens until the soldiers came around and spoke. "Get the squads down there with orbital strike rifles and paint targets for the ships. Fleet will target the larger nests and ground can mop things up." The soldiers gave a nod as orders went out and her face composed itself.

 

[Ordo]

Ordo opened fire as Graug warriors began pouring into the cave tunnel. His rifle poired slugs into the creatures as the cassings pinged on the rock covered ground.

"Move move move." Ordo said as they pressed the horde back slowly. "COME ON YOU UGLY NA'BRALS! COME GET ME!"

 

[Vulpesen]

Vulpesen started moving towards the ramp of his ship, telling Ace to stay in the pilot seat. This would be a battle with some rather large brutes and strong or not, there were somethings that even an Ashlan wolf couldn't take the weight of. He had received his orders over the com and now it was time to enact them. The job was simple. Get in, mark up some nests, and get out before they got blasted. "So, who's gonna help me beat through to pillage the nests?" he asked into the com channels, waiting for a reply. He had seen these creatures before, and he did not want to be doing this alone.

 

[Rasu Gan]

Picking up on Vulpesen's comm message, the Shi'ido broke into a sprint, hoping that she could reach the man in time before he departed. Having discarded her cloak at the Academy, Rasu ran in her light tunic, light bouncing of the various armor attachments that dressed her outfit. Leaving the corridor, she slowed down upon catching sight of the Jedi Knight still standing outside the craft, boarding ramp resting on the ground. Waving at the man, as she got closer, she let herself catch her breathe before greeting her fellow Jedi.

"Just got your message..." she said, pausing as she inhaled some more air, "I'd be keen to help out." Bringing her hand up against a pylon that jutted down from the craft, she leaned against, allowing her body to relax while she waited for the man's response. She was ready to do what had to be done. For the Republic and for the Jedi Order.
