Hand's Off My Man

Leo strode around the captive, a simple, steel blade in hand. He twisted and twirled it around his fingers and he gave a low whistle, hoping that he came off as somewhat menacing. "Ever hear about that one Trandoshan, had all his scales removed in some dark alley on Concord Dawn? Nasty stuff. Yeah... don't piss me off." He said, staring blankly out into the darkness that consumed the corners of the warehouse. The bounty hunter quivered a tad as Leo snapped his head back towards the guy, his knife stopping mere centimeters from his throat.

"See, he was a bounty hunter, just like you... and he was responsible for the death of the only family I had left... he turned me into something dark, someone that you wouldn't want to meet." He was getting to him and Leo knew it. "I know it's kinda petty, but after that, I developed a seething hatred for Trandoshan's and bounty hunter's alike... and buddy, you're the unlucky sod who fits the part for both categories." He said with a grin. The darker side of Leo began to reveal itself, reveling in the anguish that was to come... Kark, He was going to go too far. "So here's how it's gonna work..." Leo spotted a small opening in his scales as he squirmed and planted the knife deep into his flesh "You tell me who supplied you with those bio-weapons... and I go a little easier on you."

Kalyn slowly nodded her head in response to the Jedi's suggestion on what to tell the Order as a reason for his injuries. "You're right, that isn't a lie." She agreed, laughing lightly at the end. She had high hopes that everything would turn out how she wanted it to, whether the bounty hunter was banged up or not. Frankly, he did deserve it, though to a certain extent.

She sighed, looking out, almost craving for something to happen as boredom started to fall over her. She jumped a little and turned her torso around, looking behind her to the door to the warehouse. Hearing the yelp of pain from the Trandoshan, startling her. She winced a little as she thought of what Leo was doing in there.

Dax looked at the warehouse door apathetically as the first of the pained throes of the Trandoshan leaked trhough. "I'd hate to be that guy." he muttered to no one in particular as he shook his head, "I actually feel kinda sorry for the poor bosh'tet." 'Sorry' was certainly a generous term for what Dax felt. It was more so he had an intense ellergy to pain, which he did his best to avoid at all times.

"You and me both." She said in reply, definitely not wanting to be the Trandoshan especially at this particular time. She looked back at the warehouse doors and then turned back to the rogue Jedi, "How long's he been your partner?" She asked, nodding her head towards the door, gesturing to Leo.

"Honestly, only the second time I've worked with him." he said, "We met on Shiva IV, fighting the Calian Confederacy. I chucked him at a walker." he said with a laugh as he remembered that moment. Definitely an interesting day...especially when a giant green, sentient droid rolled in and saved all their asses...

"Only you're second time working together?! Wow." She exclaimed, shocked at the amount of time the two had been working as partners. They way they worked out on the field when they were capturing the Trandoshan seemed to prove otherwise. They seemed to put so much trust into one another when they'd only known each other for what seemed like such a short time. For instance when Leo radioed Dax for a little boost with the Force, after he'd jumped off the building. She thought they'd been partners for a while. "How do you know you can trust someone so easily despite only working with them once or twice?"

"When you spend a day liberating a planet from an enemy with greater numbers and firepower, you learn who's got your back very quickly." he told her, "Although...he did almost crush me with a walker..."

She nodded her head in agreement, understanding he did have a decent point there. She turned to him and laughed lightly when he spoke about being crushed by a walker. She turned back to the warehouse door, "Think the Trandoshans cooperating in there?"

The Trandoshan wasn't co-operating... Even after the first scale was brutally plied off, he was a tough nut to crack. "Look buddy, I'm sure we all have better places to be, and I doubt your Scorekeeper would mind if you told us the info under extenuating circumstances." Leo kept pushing further and further, the bounty hunter shivering and grunting in pain but keeping tight-lipped. "Looks like you want it the hard way." Leo sighed, and started on the other scales...

Another pained cry pierced the team's ears as the Leo began to work another scale. "I'm guessing not..." Furrowing his brow in thought Dax considered another option. A quicker one...but it was dangerous, and would leave the Trandoshan...well he'd be facing something worse than death in Dax's opinion. In either case Dax had never attempted what he was considering before...

Kalyn hummed in agreement, wondering why the stupid bounty hunter wouldn't just tell them the information they wanted rather than endure all this pain. Her eyes flicked back to the rogue Jedi, looking as though he was thinking hard about something, spacing out as he was in deep thought. "Something on your mind?" She asked curiously.

An eyebrow quirked up slightly as the Jedi replied to her question, feeling as though he was lying or trying to avoid the question. She didn't pry any further though, not in the mood to do so. She looked back outwards, keeping an eye out for any possible threats, though she was 99% sure nothing was going to happen at this time of night, besides who would attack, no one knew they were here.

"Yeh." She sighed, agreeing with him. "This is going to take longer than I want." She replied.

Half an hour later...

Leo walked from the warehouse, his hair tangled in a mat of black mass, green blood staining his hands. "I got what we needed from him, there's nothing left in there for us now. Let's just go..." Shame under-toned his voice as the true realisation of what he had done seeped into his mind as he walked straight past the pair, not bothering to wait for them. This isn't what he wanted to become again, that dark recess of his mind that had controlled him ever since that fateful night when his family had been killed all those years ago on Coruscant. And now it was returning... "The manufacturer's hold up in a mansion on Coruscant, got an underground manufacturing plant with some proto-type bio weps that can't get on the street. We take my freighter, come back for the other ships afterwards."

Kalyn snapped her head to the warehouse doors when they rattled open, Leo walking through them. He mentioned that he'd gotten what they required whilst walking past them, reading to head onto his freighter and leave...without the Trandoshan. Kalyn's head tilted ever so slightly as her eyes narrowed and looked back to the door of the warehouse. "Woah woah woah, I need him. The Order instructed me to bring him in." She turned to face the man as he headed off, "..is he even alive?" She asked warily, not being surprised if he wasn't alive, given all the cries off pain that had made their way to her ears. Believing the answer would be 'no' her mind had already started to try and calm her down, talking to herself subconsciously, the Jedi wouldn't be too disappointed if she didn't bring in the Trandoshan, perhaps she could even go with the two of them to stop the bio-weapons from getting on the streets. That would make up for it wouldn't it, that was the best possible answer as to why the Jedi wanted the Trandoshan in the first place, to get info on the weapons. She calmed down and awaited an answer from the man.

Dax followd after the mercenary, not bothering to peer into the warehouse. The Neimoidian authorities wouldn't care about some Trandoshan bounty hunter. In either case he hoped they'd be long gone before then.. "Any idea what the weapon is?" he asked, trying to take his friend's mind off whatever distressed him.

Leo's mind snapped back from drifting thoughts, "It'll be under that house, in the manufacturing lab most likely." His voice gradually becoming more gravelly and dark. Leo kept walking towards the docking yards where their freighter had been parked, head down as he took smooth strides that came naturally to him. "It won't be long until that body is discovered and word gets out, then, they move the weapon. We have to be quick..."

Kalyn's gut feeling was correct when Leo replied to her question. She sighed as her fists clenched, slightly mad but calming herself down. She tried to figure out what to do, she'd have to go with them now and stop the bio-weapons from reaching the streets. She refused to return to the Order empty handed and failing her mission. "I'm going with you two then, to help stop the bio-weapons being released on the streets." She declared, following after them.

"Go home kid. This one is outta your league." A fethin bioweapon? Yeah, whoever built that meant business. And Dax was willing to bet an arm and a leg that the thing would be heavily guarded. It wasn't going to be easy by any means.
