Hanging Tree | Trial of Gray Raxis OOC

Olivia Dem said:
A Mandalorian can be anything in addition to being a Mandalorian. Be they Sith, Jedi, Democrate, Merchant, Scholar, Engineer, exc... They are Mando'ade first and foremost, or they are a traitor and Dar'manda.
A Sith or Jedi that claims to be a Mandalorian but does not heed the call of Mand'alore or rise to defend Manda'yaim is a traitor and Dar'manda.
This is not an absolute truth. It is a view.

Some people hold the same view, some people don't. Gray did not heed Ra's call for the crusades, but Ra doesn't declare him dar'manda.

To be declared soulless is not a simple thing for Ra. It's extremely serious and isn't something to just be thrown around like an insult.

To be declared Dar'manda is to be denied an afterlife with your family. It's an excommunication of the highest degree.

Real mandos wait until invasions to explode, and they use Vegeta gifs when they do it.
Asking for a friend, how long will that wait be?

[member="Avedia Lacroix"] because my mother raised me as a Mandalorian. And no connections? Would you ask Master Heavensheild the same question about his marriage?? I think not. Family and honor above all else

[member="Gray Raxis"] dude you give me the word and I'll bring my Sith in and slaughter every Mandi trying to hold you.....It will be easy since most of them stated they are unarmed and unarmored....js

Just so we're clear, posting stuff like this in the OOC is why we challenge whether you're just a bandwagoning opportunist or an actual Mandalorian writer.

[member="Ra Vizsla"] you see an opportunist, Where as I see a Mandalorian, on trial for actions that were not his own, Who may or may not need help.

[member="Avedia Lacroix"] I'm not even sure I know you but thank you. I enjoyed playing him that way as well and still might decide to revamp him over that way.

[member="Darth Carnifex"] meh

Its whatever. I can always just rp with nothing but my own characters so I'm good lol. Just thought I'd give Gray an option.

But honestly just seeing your three attitudes towards a simple idea I can understand why most of the people I claimed friend have left this site.

I appreciate the thought, but right now I think Ra would personally gut anyone who tried to say anything different about the outcome.

Also please don't insult others in the OOC chat. That's not what it is for. If you could move it somewhere else that would be perfect.

I'd like to thank [member="Gray Raxis"] for being such a great sport in what serves as a pivotal story reminder for how seriously this generation's Mandalorians take betrayal. I had asked him if he wanted to play ball, both of us knowing how it was probably going to go, and he said "yeah, let's do it.".

And some of ya'lls characters were pretty brutal in there. It's easy to take some of that stuff personally if you have trouble separating the character from the writer.

We put you in a bit of a pickle IC, Gray, but I just want to thank you on behalf of the Clans for being a champ and rolling with it.

I third that and I'll be honest this little trial has given the the muse punch I needed again for star I know that's odd to say having your characters husband go on trial and lose a hand gives muse but it did oddly!

In any case after this I'm roaring and ready again!

I won't lie, even not being involved with this, I kept up on the last two days of writing. I don't even write a mando and I enjoyed it. You actual Mando's are brutal, but it was probably one of the few threads I've had the pleasure of reading that actually made me proud to be a member of Chaos. I have individual members I enjoy reading, but when a number of people like everyone in there pull together to do that, that is why i'm proud to be a member of Chaos.

It was some amazing writing from some of the best people on the board so, I can't say well done to all of you enough, it's amazing what people can write when they try, and this was pretty serious trying.
