Xiarr stopped in his tracks when he heard the familiar voice, Xiarr stopped in his tracks. "Hello there old friend, been a while hasn't it? And yes, the dark and light love to blend together on this world." Jakkor then began to heal a wounded man, and so Xiarr carried on to the Strip Mines. When Xiarr entered the Strip Mines, he joined the crowd and heard the orders from the Silver Jedi. Xiarr then joined up with his group and spoke: "Well I guess we should get going then!" Finally, he had waited long for this moment, it had been so long since he fought true sith. Xiarr grabbed his DL-18 and waited for the group to prepare.

Silence; it rested upon her mind like a blanket of fresh snow. Silence had always been a companion to the Pale Assassin.

Even before she entered the halls, her stride was light and fluent like the faintest breeze. She was seen, one black cloak among many, but her presence was constricted, feigning weakness, obscurity. Her burning eyes surveyed the towering monoliths that stared down upon the gathering darkness. Who carved bodies into the rock, and how long had they stood sentinel? Keeping an even stride, she did not stop to inspect. There were more urgent questions to address.

They had gathered from many orders; One Sith, Knights of Ren, rebels, rogues, renegades. There were no loyalties from one to the next except that of utility against mutual destruction, against Omega.

As Darth Ophidia climbed the stairs, her watchful eyes tallied the persons around her and labelled them according to their gait, their marks, their company. Passing under the great, yawning door, she tapped her ear instinctively in response to the sudden silence. It was not uncomfortable to her, quite on the contrary. Where some would find the lack of sound deafening, she slid in under the cover.

Maintaining a steady stride, the ashen-skinned woman moved through and with the crowd into the hallway. Her hands flexed and unflexed in readiness as she delved deeper and deeper into the hall, until she stood before the stairs at the end. Her eyes fixated upon its summit and the shadowed door. The Sith Lord halted, took a single inhale, then put her right foot on the first step of the left staircase with great determination.

Nothing? If so, she took the next, and the next. She had noted the other doors, put paid them no mind at the present time. She wanted to see; she needed to know, what was beyond the summit?

Was she prepared? [member="Mael Ren"] had appeared almost like a ghost. It was as if the wind had echoed her question back at her. She turned towards the masked man and nodded with a determined look. She doubted she'd appealed much to Mael before this, she would get lost in the exhilaration of battle and stubborn single minded approaches but on this day she wanted the others with her to know just how ready she was.

There was great fear from the other member of their group, the Stormtrooper [member="Kierel"]. Truth be told, she was rather the soldier wasn't there out of concern for the woman's, and by extension the group's, own safety. She had reservations about how useful a trooper could be in an Academy of Sith but they worked with what they had and what they had was a very fearful soldier. Fear was a useful ally to those trained in the Dark side. It could give you strength and focus, give you the ability to do things you could never do unless your body truly feared for its life. But too much fear was a curse which would reduce one's readiness for combat so she would work to control it. Whether the Stormtrooper was afraid of the dark energy emitting from within the building or from the Ren themselves was hard to say, it was probably a bit of both.

Samka pulled her hood fully down as she walked up to the Stormtrooper scanning the stone structure in front of her, letting the sharp biting wind nip at her skin and push strands of hair across her face. Seeing a clear face could bring a greater amount of relatibility and thus attachment. She smiled warmly and bowed her head ever so slightly as a sign of respect but not deference. They could be no mistaking who was in charge after all. "Hello, Trooper. My name is Sam and I shall make it my personal mission to ensure you return from this assignment alive." A little reassurance could go a long way and as she spoke Sam let the power of Force energy flow over the Stormtrooper, now the Trooper was in the belief they were under the protection of a relatively friendly, powerful Force User. Her approach may be considered unusual for those on the Dark Side but they couldn't argue with the results a honeyed tongue could bring.

Before she could speak more, the doors in front of them began to open. Sam immediately drew her weapon and took a defensive posture. She did not yet ignite her lightsaber but would do so with less than a second's warning. Yet the Academy appeared empty. There was a brief pause as she waited for for something to appear from the shadows within but it was empty, nothing but darkness.

"Cover me," she whispered to her group as Sam took the tentative first steps inside, painfully aware of how much this looked like a trap but equally aware of how they had little choice and as the quickest and most flexible of the group she probably stood the best of chance of escaping anything they may spring. A very slim chance, yes, but slightly less doomed than the others perhaps. If she was lucky.

Immediately something felt strange the moment her foot crossed the doorway. It wasn't threatening or painful but odd. Something had been stripped from her and it wasn't until her second foot crossed inside as well the young Ren realised what. Her footsteps had been crunching in the snow this entire time but now there was silence.

"Somethings not right," she said to her companions out of the side of her mouth, unwilling to take eyes off of the darkness within to look at them. At least that's what she had meant to say. Just as her boots gave no footsteps, her mouth gave no voice. She tried to clear her throat, already knowing it would be fruitless but a base instinct took over. She felt her throat moving but no sound came out. Nothing.

Regardless, it was not dangerous and the coast seemed clear. There was no sign of life in the Academy's halls. So she gestured for the others to follow.

But then there was a thud and shouting coming from behind. A buffoon had joined them. The newcomer merrily greeted Thresh and ran into the Academy. Before he could reach the door on the left Sam ignited her lightsaber at last, the familiar hum missing from the air, and pointed it at the newcomer's neck. The man could act the drunk all he wished but here? A drunk man during the middle of a warzone? Just happening to uncover the Sith Academy and blaze past them unnoticed? Inconceivable. Every part of it. She would not hesitate to drive her weapon through his throat at the slightest sign of hostility. She sure why she hadn't done so already...

She watched the group. All so focused on the pilot. The plight of one woman was not something they could focus on at the moment and they should have all known that. Though she had no desire to see the woman get killed, more was at stake than the life of a single individual. They had to press onward. Too long had they delayed already. She would wait no longer for them, turning her attention to those that had mentioned going on and nodding her head. If some wanted to get the pilot back on her feet that was fine. She would be needed. But they didn't all need to be standing around doing nothing.

"I'm going. You're all welcome to join me."

With that she would start walking in the direction of the mines once again. If none of them followed her, so be it. She could kill Sith on her own without the assistance of the others. That and there were sure to be more people there fighting against them already. She was prepared to do battle with the darkside, her lightsaber falling down into her hand as she walked. The danger was real, and to ignore it would leave her likely dead.

Each step forward felt like another step towards destiny. Could she do this alone? No. But she was going to try until she succeeded or she died.

"The fiercest contest lies ahead.
This is irrefutable."

The hum of a repulsor, then feet. Dean could hear the boots sink into the mud. He spun around on his backside and kicked his feet down, his knees spread outwards, rifle aimed in-between. His breathing steadied as the feet got closer. He seemed to be jogging around the MARV to get to Deans side. This was it, he thought. He steeled himself to open fire. A face popped into view offering assistance. "Geezus!" the commander roared, half in fury, half in relief, "I almost shot you!"

He scrambled out as best he could, wiggling his bottom and digging his elbows into the softened snow and dirt. Dean would have appraised the man but movement caught his eye, the trenches they were at, the Sith were retreating back to defenses closer to the citadel. He looked to the man and waved at the offer of a MediKit, "I'm fine," Dean then pointed to the Sith troopers, "But I don't think we will be if we stick around."

Dean hadn't served in galactic conflicts like many other nations had, the Commonwealth dealt with insurrection. From what the Section Zero operative had learned in his time was that whenever Robert called his insurgents back for a retreat they didn't do so without covering fire. For as far as Dean could see, and as best as his ears could hear, no one was covering the Sith retreat.

"Artillery," Dean surmised, he indicated with the flat of his hand, "They're pulling back, there's no troopers covering their retreat. They're going to pull us in, they want us to advance in blindly, and when we're in the kill zone they're going to open up with what they got." He motioned to the no mans land that was between them and the distant fortified trenches of the Sith forces.

While the Mandalorians had their warrior culture, the Commonwealth were soldiers, a nation of militants. They knew their tactics, they knew their strategies, it made up for their lack of sophisticated tecnology and impenetrable armor. When you were a Mandalorian wearing armor that could take a tank round you didn't need to worry about tactics. Together, the Commonwealth and Mandalorian Clans could be the brains and brawn that could win this fight.

"We need to puncture through their lines before they open up on that no mans land," Dean said, "This MARV's got the firepower, I just need a gunner." The SpecOp hiked a thumb to the overturned vehicle. "We need to get it back on its feet," Dean moved around to the driver side and unclipped the harness that held the driver in place, as he pulled the corpse out the wheels stopped spinning and the engine quietened down. For good measure he turned off the MARV.

Dean moved towards the turret, the stand wasn't snapped after the crash. If it hadn't of been softened mud and snow they rolled in the turret would have torn like a twig. Upon inspecting it, Dean could see the stand wasn't snapped, but it wasn't exactly stable either. "You in?" he asked Rhan.

"Let's go th..." Just about to agree with their plan to go meet with Mandalorians, the voices of artillery shooting directly on them cut her speech. Let's go stealthy! Oh right... Plans never worked. The entire place once looked open for them to go were filled with dozens of stormtroopers shooting at them in a moment's notice. Lasers, missiles, artillery... If this was a color show, it would be a hell of a good one. Unfortunately, they were deadly. And there was no place to hide, and there was no place to run. So, they had no other option but to give the fight that these soldiers asked them to give. Elpsis was already flying, distracting the soldiers. But they were too many of them for her to do it alone, so she shouted back taking a defensive position. "Elpsis, distract the missile throwers! Charlyra, I am going to create an opening for you to go offensive." She said then proceeded. They would push through their trenches if they were careful and quick enough, and cut every enemy on their way if it was necessary to do so.

Concentrating on the Force around her, she created a web in the area, specifically designed to hold the energy of blaster lasers inside and give her enough time to suck it all to give her energy. Tutaminis was one of the things she learned from Sio, she wasn't a Master of it yet, but it would be pretty well in an area of a thousand blaster lasers coming towards their way. And she always believed in the idea of training was best when it was in a battlefield. So , yeah. The lasers started to hit her web once, twice, thrice.... the numbers of it were increasing as well as the pressure and heat that has been created. Her hands were burning, the burns were starting to cover her all body, but she held on. She tried to hold on since there was no place for mistakes here. The flying lasers continued to hit her web, hit and hit... The energy that she took from these lasers were almost too difficult to bear, they started to stack up and up to the point she couldn't hold in anymore, and then she lashed out. The energy that she took from all the lasers escaped her body, aimed towards the attackers with a very high speed and pressure. The process was faster than it took to write so she wouldn't be standing in one place for so long.

One could see steam coming out of her body afterwards and she was quite tired, but she needed to keep moving. If her attacks connected, that would create quite a distraction with her attackers, and give Charlyra a chance to counter and thin out their way, or go creative and do her own thing to take care of this situation. Nonetheless, they had little time and only a little room to act.

Matsu looked at Joshua when he was strolling up to her and she had been remaining calm as well it wasn't a bad thing but she was also extreamely focused and one fo the few jedi she knew who really did know how to lock away emotion and panic in the middle of a battle like this. It was heated, it was prepared and she looked at Lyth as the small As-Aki seemed to be worried. "Calm yourself little one, Lyth, listen to my voice and focus yourself. You can do this and what we are doing here will make echoes in the force. We need to stay together, stay focused and start helping who we can. The ship I came in can work to hold them and offer them food and shelter."

She turned with some attention seeing Joshua though as he seemed casual before she was moving towards the mines offering her padawan a small motioned of her head. "We'll head down and start releasing people the probes have mapped an area and can set up themselves as beacons for them to use and head back to the ship." She was moving her fingers over the screen of her datapad and prepared to work on more of it while the drones she had released were moving into an idle position. "Harmony we are going to be sending people to you, get as many as you can and start getting shuttles for the others to be taken up."

They coudl get ships here but getting them safely away was another concern, it would seem a waste to save them from one and lose them in another. She needed to work on that before revealing from the robes her lightsabers on her hip. She had to wait a moment ad then focused on the ground below them stomping one foot to feel the ground and the vibrations to get a better mental image of the mines and where they were going to need to go. "We should hurry, move with haste towards the slaves they have and use your sabers on the locks. Remember to remain calm, we do not want to put them into a panic over the situation nor do we want to invite doubt into our own minds."

It was true, he was quite calm. Perhaps more calm then one would think he should be, given the circumstances. Granted, he was a bit late on being informed of the whole situation, but by the looks of the fireworks, it wasn't all that hard for him to piece everything together. At the very least, it seemed the other Jedi here had the same goal as he did - and that was helping out the slaves. Well, that made things easier, he supposed. He was wholly expecting to have to handle this alone, but with a platoon of Jedi at his side, perhaps this wouldn't be near suicidal after all.

"Right, we'd best get moving then" The Jedi Master would agree as he would peer around at the small army that had been assembled. His expression had changed, even as he remained casual. But his tone told the story here, everything had changed. If the Jedi had been sent on this scale... Then things were bad. Really bad. "If you know the quickest way there, Master Ike, please lead the way. I'll try and keep everyone together best I can."

Tiland straightened, brushing off his hands as the pilot rose to her feet, wiping away the blood, and acquired weapons. His old student, arrived, and Tiland gave her a small bow of greetings.

"Indeed," His voice was soft, as he continued to feel out through the Force. Something was beginning to finally happen in the shanty town. A flurry of movement and fear, concern and indifference. It was a time of transition. "Good to see you again as well."

He hefted his staff as others began to discuss how they'd wasted enough time and needed to forge ahead. They were correct, but the time was not yet right. Things were still to static.

"We wait until the time is right and move into the mines," Tiland said as the others gathered around, "And for those we have yet to meet, I am Jedi Knight Tiland Kortun." He tapped his staff in the snow and began to walk towards the mines, "Something is about to move in the mines. I sense a great anticipation and activity. When it is at its peak, then we can infiltrate amidst the chaos."

Tiland paused to consider their varied appearances, "If you see a way, disguise yourselves as slaves. We will draw less attention that way." It was one thing for him to slip in and out of slave camps, with his long gray hair and weathered appearance, draped in old robes, with nothing but a staff and satchel. That made him look like no more than a normal slave healer. Not even a full doctor, but a harmless old man. But the rest of them? They were too well armed to stroll in unnoticed.

His boots crunched through the packed snow crust, and he sank unevenly on the ground, but he continued on, sending a mental message to his former student.

I am pleased the Force has brought our paths back together again. But remember your training. Move in harmony with the Force and let it guide you.

She had strength and will, to be certain, which she seemed to have used to great effect in her role with the New Republic, but it was wild and untamed. Dangerous, for the Sith, yes, but to her more than anything else. It would consume her long before she had the chance to accomplish what she desired.

Hopefully she would not face that lesson so soon in her life and not at this stage. There were times when the galaxy balanced on the edge of a lightsaber, and today was one of those days. If they failed here, the galaxy would fall. If they won today, they would live. It was as simple as that.

But then, nothing was ever that simple. The Force moved in mysterious ways and not even the sages knew. Only time would tell.

Charlyra had been awaiting further instructions from Masters Elpsis and Nima. She had been, anyway, and then it seemed the Sith wished to as the kids say, 'get this party started.' If that were so, then she would comply. They'd have to push through the trenches and she watched as Elpsis created a wall of pure fire, holy fire that would burn through each and every Sith that Elpsis willed it to. Master Nima on the other hand was busy working - soaking up the damage, creating quite the distraction.

The firebird as she had somehow been dubbed, was going to be unleashed which was probably why she was here. To be the fury unleashed upon the Sith like a wind-up toy that keeps on going. Now, in epic slow motion, her boots left the snow with bits of dirt being chunked up in their wake. Her crimson robe somehow finding its way off of her body as she put her hands to her lightsabres and unsheathed them.

In a glorious Zack Synder motion sequence of action, Charlyra's blade cut through one Sith Trooper and then another. Her force speed and leap activated as she bounced to another Sith Trooper. Taking the opening provided by Master Nima Tann. Her Ataru and Jar'Kai forms were forged together as she used both of her shotos to get in close, stabbing, slicing and dicing.

With training from Master Tempest and Siobhan, she was learning to conserve her force energy. Force speed and force leap did call for her to pause and she did so by sliding underneath yet another Sith, her lightsabres penetrating underneath him and his comrade. Charlyra had always been a better duelist, than she had a force user so it made no difference to her how many of these men wanted to charge her. And now, with the addition of Shii-Cho training - she'd be better at deflecting their shots.

Objective: Examine left doorway

Approaching the door, I thought my plan had worked, that the others would simply ignore me and let me by. Turns out that one of them had caught on to my act, and had proceeded to activate her saber. There was no sound to alert me to the lightsaber being activated nor the sound of footsteps. On top of that I lacked the common precognition that many force users had, I instead sensed danger and movement through the environment itself. The movement of her feet upon the floor alerted me to the danger of someone drawing near. The shift and temperature change in the air as the saber was activated. All alerting me to what was happening. Why couldn’t they just go about their own business and leave a drunk to his own business and leave me to mines.

Before the lightsaber got close to me I reacted, in one quick movement the saber from my hip was snatched and activated crossing with the person who attacked me. Looking at them I was surprised to see it was a young girl. Far younger and smaller than myself. Had the force truly clouded the minds of these individuals so much that they thought themselves such a threat? Anyone could beat a force user if they were smart enough. My own past spoke to that experience, while my power in the force was diminished from the centuries I spent imprisoned my abilities in combat were still extremely sharp. The young girl was an entire foot shorter than myself, the purple hair was kind of off putting making me expect a zeltron-human hybrid.

Unable to speak I shook my head at her a smile crossing my face. It was impressive that she had spotted the ruse and thought to stop me, but what was the point? To prove herself to her allies? To destroy what she saw as competition? Would this truly come to combat? While I was confident in my own combative abilities I was vastly outnumbered. Eyeing the young woman I mouthed “I am not the one you’re looking for.” Of course not a drop of sound came out, but I was counting on her reading my lips. She would possibly take it as me trying to manipulate her mind with the force. Furthest thing from it though, I was simply stating we were all on the same side.

He put a slight limp into his step, and a bit of a shiver to his voice. He let a bit of the cold seep into him, causing him to shake a little, making him appear as though he was nervous. He finally saw Master Ike, and shuffled over to speak with her.

"Excuse me, Master Ike? Might I have a quick word? Those people in there, I remember what they're going through all to well. I'm no Jedi, but I've a good shot with a blaster, and I'd like to help in any way I can."

Holy fire, blessed by the Great White Wolf, swept through the trenches, Nima played tutaminis tank by soaking up damage caused by Sith blasterfire, Charlyra sliced and diced her way through stormtroopers unfortunate enough to get in her way. Thanks to her armour's jet wings Elpsis was high up in the air, unleashing fiery judgement upon the horde of infidels who deserved to be smote.

There was so much noise, but she could hear Nima's command to her: Destroy the missile throwers! Her wall of fire had created a distraction, but it was only a temporary one. Moreover, she could do anything against the turbolaser artillery that was more than a kilometre away. Blasterfire splashed everywhere, explosions erupted and soldiers on both sides perished. There was death everywhere and it struck her mind with the force of a freight tram, for such was the curse of empathy. Sweat dripped down her face and back, her jaw tightened as she willed herself to focus.

Anger rose inside her stomach like bile. Accelerating her jet wings as she sought to weave a path through the hailstorm, she fixed her focus upon some of the soldiers bearing missile launchers. Luckily for her, a few soldiers were reloading. As the next salvoe was being prepared, she stretched out with her mind to manipulate the rocket-propelled projectiles.

A beautiful fireball blossomed into existence as she willed them to explode. Loud screams were heard when stormtroopers were blasted apart by their own ammunition. However, Elpsis did not emerge unscathed from this. All of the pain the men felt reflected back at her and she did not have the concentration to fortify her mental walls. Thusly, she lost control and was tossed out of the sky. Beams of turbolaser fire lanced through the air and impacted upon the ground, vaporising attackers like a supernova. She felt her armour crack beneath her when she was slammed into the ground. Ouch. This was definitely going to hurt. The fall had knocked the wind out of her and probably broken something. She was lucky that she'd managed to slow her descent down a bit.

She gasped for breath, sucking in air as she tried to get to her feet. A close stormtrooper, having been alerted by the sight, emerged from cover and levelled his blaster rifle on her. Instincts took over as she called upon the Force to alter the gun's trajectory, so that his bolt his a comrade. Standing up, she raced towards the soldier like a berserker and rammed him with her armoured shoulder, causing an audible crack. Seizing his rifle out of his grasp with both her hands when he staggered, she slammed the gun barrel into his helmet with strength enhanced by the Force. The stormtrooper fell, she dropped the blaster, grabbed ahold of her Mark One Bolter and hit the dirt as bolts and slugs came her way, squeezing the trigger to drop two hostiles.

Her fear seemed to pass, it became more of a soothing thing. She was afraid yes but that didn't seemed to matter. The small girl had been so nice to her she was very lucky. Perhaps that's why she had been first to enter the temple. She hadn't heard the sound of crunching snow or the hiss of sabers clashing behind her. Everything was so calm, she'd never quite felt such an overwhelming feeling of relaxation. Still something nagged at the back of her mind like an itch at the centre of her head. Telling her something wasn't right and she just couldn't put her finger on what it was. While her other senses seemed keener. The temple was ominous the insides of it seemed to just lurk with spots that would be perfect for an ambush. Again something reassured her that a step forward was all that mattered. She scanned around trying to find any slight hint of movement before deciding the safest thing would be to stick with the cloaks. Her scanner was giving off strange readings throughout. Part of Kierel wanted to be back with her unit the 212th who were out fighting on the plains somewhere else planetside trying to bring down the shield generator. But instead. She was here alone. Maybe it had been a clerical error and they had meant to send some super commando also called Ortis? She was for the moment relatively unconcerned. Maybe it was her meeting with the Grand Moff and the High Marshal's recommendation that it be her here instead of a battalion.

She turned merely to check that her new companions were following her. To her surprise stood a small man saber drawn and locked in with the nice young girl. Perhaps he hadn't noticed the stormtrooper because she was wearing white in a snow filled area. Her rifle was already up and the calm that was once over her began to fade. She'd never fought a force user before never been given any training about how to fight them other than 'You should not.' it was the same as any life form looked humanoid. Which meant it could be killed. Fear and calm were replaced instead with a calculated certainty. The figure not able to hear or see her as she brought the rifle up and fired a double tap of shots into the humanoids rear.

The sudden burst of adrenaline and the return of the fear followed. Both kept you alive in combat she could control them she'd been trained almost her entire life to fight and how to harness those animalistic instincts. She felt the sudden return of calm and a sense of loyalty to the pink haired girl. And she had only started to suspect why.

Mael Ren followed into the Academy's blackened maw. He'd had no choice with first Samka entering and then a drunken stranger. It annoyed him that he was made to go in virtually blind. The girl had an irritating need to prove herself that had drawn them into danger before.

He unhooked his lightsaber with his right hand and it hummed to life. Kierel Ortis went in after Derith and he followed the trooper. Mael quickly saw what had transpired in just seconds. The stranger was far from intoxicated and black-locked with the lavender haired Ren.

It hit him then that he couldn't hear the crackle and hum of his blade or theirs. The ozone smell was there but not the clash of energy. He was so transfixed by this discovery that the stormtrooper had a chance to level her rifle. She fired twice into the duel by instinct.

The shots took him by surprise as they lacked the noisy discharge. Firing into the pair had been a mistake. They were too tight together now. It was too easy to hit friend instead of foe....

I saw Wolf first. I nodded my shivering greetings to him, honored that he complemented me about our last duel. I may have hit him first, but he was much more experienced. I was very glad to have the full-fledged Knight of Ren here with me. Together, we would stand strong. Together, we would dominate.

Mael Ren and Samka joined us quickly, as well as a stormtrooper whom I had no prior experience with. I was glad for the support, however. I am horrible with blasters. Samka greeted the trooper, and I noticed a visible change in her attitude through the Force. I thought it good that Samka had taken initiative. She was displaying the good qualities befitting her recent promotion to Knighthood. She and Mael were both Knights of Ren, and powerful Knights at that. With each person that gathered with us, I grew more and more confidant that the secrets of Omega would be forced open before us, opposition would be cut down and our success more ensured.

I was distracted from my train of thought by what looked like a drunken being. Picking himself up from the snow, he stood with the cockeyed posture of one infused with strong drink. I stared confusedly at the man when he called me his "furry friend." I had never even met this being before! He sprinted away before I could begin to formulate a question demanding some answers.

Thankfully, Samka intercepted him inside the Academy. Oddly, there was no exchange of words between the two. Samka had leveled her lightsaber at the man's throat, warily keeping some distance between them. Then, out of nowhere the intruder whipped his own lightsaber out, crossing it with Samka's, now exhibiting no signs of intoxication.

Worried by the sudden change in position and what seemed like an imminent battle, I cried "Samka!" to let her know of my coming, and activated my double bladed lightsaber as I ran to join my fellow Knight of Ren in facing down this unexpected intruder.

It did not take long for the woman that had contacted him earlier through the Force to arrive. Jude had already stood up from the snowy ground and had positioned himself straight in front of the maw of darkness that was the mysterious passage. The agent's caution was high at the appearance of the woman, his habits of reading people due to his mentalist powers, Lorrdian heritage and intelligence operative career quickly made work of what was revealed to him. Calm, collected, a scarred mouth ? It was only natural that Jude's right hand that was covered to her from his body landed on the vibroknife sheathed on his hip. It was the quickest weapon he could draw and use in this situation.

Surprisingly, her presence knocked on his mind again and a hand was extended to him. Her presence through the Force was dark, concealed, strong. The agent suspected her of being a mentalist just like him, he was almost completely sure. She seemed dangerous but not threatening to him. For now. Very slowly and slightly reluctantly he dropped his right hand from the hilt of his sheathed vibroknife and took her hand.

"Jay. Like the letter." If she preferred mental communication, then so be it. He didn't mind. Clearly, he would not go ahead and give his real identity out. Perhaps she had not given hers, as well, although he did not see not even the slightest and most concealed hints of deception. Perhaps there was no reason for her to give a false name. Interesting. An individual worth monitoring and compiling report about for the Security Bureau, if they all survived this critical situation concerning the Omega.

With a confident stride, she first entered the passage and just a moment of hesitance after did Jude come. Her tenacity was an expression of her strength. It was clear. The agent had felt her powerful presence in the flow of the Force.

Their journey into the tunnel was greeted by an aura of malice. An aura that chilled his bones despite all his clothing and the thermal regulated bodyglove. It was beyond the physical. Not only that. There. was. no. sound. His steps, his breathing, had he become deaf ? The hair on the back of his neck jumped up straight. Fear. He felt the blood rise in his head and when Matsu once again spoke telepathically, Jude, almost out of habit, took hold of himself.

The surge of fear was pushed back and he realized how it had held him, even for just a moment, a moment where he had missed noticing the obvious red blade that was in the woman's hand. It lit their way and Jude immediately realized that he had a small bulb attached to the side of his snow glasses that had their glasses retracted back in so he could see. Tapping a small button on the side of his glasses, the bulb lit and viola - a flashlight!

"Right." He muttered mentally, almost assured. Why ? He had no idea. "Feeling nothing, ey ? Is that usually a good or a bad thing ?" Nothing wrong in gaining more information, perhaps she might share some past experience of hers. All good information. Or perhaps not.

There was a lot hapening and with Claire and Joshua she could work on more of it same as with some of the others. The others they could and would be able to gather as she was entering and using her own internal map thanks to the techniques were going to work. "Good then, start moving through." She knew Joshua might come off like a tool.. for her amusement... but he really was a skilled tool.... for everybodies amusement. Hahaha she laughed to herself internally before starting to work on freeing the prisoners that she could find and feel out. All of them were going to provide a little comfort and in her mind each was something worth while in her own ledger as she started to work on getting some of that red out. "Claire move carefully." She had her saber and there was another somewhere ahead of her. "Wait who are you?" She said it looking at [member="Lark"] with a look on her face but so far he wasn't showing sith traits... which was a plus.

Cole took a breif moment to look around seeing the familiar sight of the armored Arla Balor. He was both pleased and saddened to see her there at the battle. Arla was the closest thing he had to a friend among the Mandalorians. While he was glad to see a friendly face putting him more at ease it also caused him a bit of apprehension at the possibility of her getting hurt this day.

The battle raged all around him. Cole reversed the grip on his sword pulling out the blaster with his other hand. Cole also ate dirt to avoid the in coming fire. He was in a bad spot staring down not only artillery but the enemy soldiers as well. He too a deep breath looking at the men and women to his left and right.

"We stay here we die, we bunch up and we all die, but if we do this right we got a chance."

Cole timed his moves with the fire directed at him. At this range he knew he was not going to be able to hit much. Sure he was a good shot but frankly he was just out of range. Once there was a gap in the fire Cole leaped to his feet and charged forward a few hundred yards before he dropped down again. Once he was back down he covered those around him so they could do the same.

Anything that popped up in range caught a three shot burst from his heavy blaster. Hit or miss it should be enough to get the to duck until everyone got in range to lay down the hurt.

Part of Cole was terrified..............another part of him..................the soldier felt oddly calm back on the battle field.

Bryce closed the channel on his Corellian digital wrist comm after his brief conversation with his reinforcements. Well, they were to be till an unfortunate and all to common crash left them stranded hundreds of kilometers away from the action. Bryce's mood was now mellowing a bit as he re-asserted more control over his feelings. However, they were still there, and ready to boil over then needed again.

Turning to the king of Kesh he nodded in a sign of readiness, wherever the king went he would follow. Before they begin their track to the mines Bryce made sure to greet all those around him as well. If they were to now fight together he thought it best to at least me cordial.
