Hello World

HK-36

The Iron Lord Protector (Neutral Good)
[member="SN-1411"],

Hey welcome! It's always good to see more droids around here, if you'll want some work or a thread let me know, I run a major faction called Metal Lords around here, which some people might describe as being controlled by cyborgs and droids rather than organics, although often it's more of a support group rather than anything :p

You wouldn't have to join us to work for us or hang out with us in a thread sometimes, we're always willing to write with more people, whether they're part of us or not

[member="SN-1411"],

We have a couple of threads ongoing where you could jump in and shoot at some NPCs to start collecting on bounties and get to know our guys better if you want, one of them is our dominion where we're fighting One Sith Remnants and Vong at two different locations, one being a siege of their outpost, another an expedition into Orbital Jedi Stronghold. The second thread is a fight against these Space Mindflayers but it's starting to wrap up a bit, it's mostly space combat and boarding ships, you might be able to catch the end of it or you could just wait for us to wrap it up and start the next thread in the story.

If that sounds interesting I can send you the links, if you have a Discord it's usually easier to get a hold of me over it if you'll have any questions about the site, Metal Lords, writing a droid on here, or anything else

Negative miss [member="Marina DeVoe"], it's just more advanced software to help aid in interaction sentient life forms. If anything it hinders my full potential with that you'd call "thinking". Thus I do not naturally "feel human projection."

You and my droid TK1213

would get along just fine then...if you could understand him.
I can't, as I need his beeps and chirps translated most of the time.
*shows her wrist crono comm that also translates languages for her*
But somehow or other, that little droid seems to know exactly what I need at times. Programming, I'm guessing.

:)

[member="Marina DeVoe"] I do think it's important for well made droids to be given randomized personality programing to give them a better sense of self, especially if they work independently, like myself. I'm sure TK1213 would feel the same way. :D *Eyes her crono comm* Ahh yes, the "beeps and chirps" aren't easy to understand in the moment.

[member="SN-1411"], I'd have to agree. Unfortunately all of my education were focused on political sciences... not so much on digital languages of droids. I mean no offence, SN-1411. But I have somehow become attuned without needing translation as to my droid's disapproval of some of my actions and requests that I've inputted to him. I have had the sense at times that it has grown attached to me, as I of it.
But then again, we humans do grow sentimental attachment to...to things.
I trust you may somewhat understand this?

[member="Marina DeVoe"] I would say I can relate to what you're describing. I believe humans and other sentient lifeforms would call it "fondness". Other droids with a personality like me. For us, what simulates this "fondness" are some calculations that conclude that better iteration can come from those who are familiar. My apologies if this sounds a little cold and lifeless. But to me, I'd say it's just was worthy as natural emotion.

Well, greeting and welcome [member="SN-1411"] here looking forward to rp with yah with either this char or my alt soon . :)

And hmm fondness I guess would be an ideal word for it thought "sparks" might not see it that way. That is if and when I get the chance finish his little project soon of assembling him.

Ah, I see [member="SN-1411"] . Yes, that somewhat explains why I may feel that TK is something more than my ship's astro-mechanical assistant. Truth be told, I've taken him on some of my outings...as someone to keep me company.
*refrains from using the word companionship to describe those outings on unfamiliar systems*

...kind of making me feel...you know....not so alone.

Oh, 'Hi' Ronin. *waves to her friend who entered the intro thread* No need for me to introduce you, seeing you already have. :)
