Her tears of Joy (look to OOC thread before posting)

'Spoken wisely.' Syn continued to dance with Kira. 'Born with great power and the will of a mighty people. I suppose the Gods had to make me an exile...or I just might have ended up ruling the galaxy' He spoke of course sarcastically.

'Truthfully I only know so little about the force. All I know I've gotten from my father. Yet even then it's barely a thing.' It was oddly humorous to Syn. Exiled because he was born with something he'd never been taught about. At least not formally.

All he learned about the force came from his father placing him in deadly situations. Waiting for his abilities to guide him and ensure the boy didn't die. What failed to break him made him more powerful.

Yet that power wasn't even his full potential. He'd likely never see it.

"Something nature has graced me with."

Returning the smile with one of her own at the compliment, they were getting into an area of conversation she really had no real clue to respond to. It wasn't often in her life past where there had been an opportunity to flirt and it was something she did not know how to do well. Not that she would admit such a thing to Ar'ekk though. Her thoughts were kept to herself on this and she did her best to keep up with things.

"One more drink and then what?"

Asking this between bites of something exotic to her tongue, she wondered what he had planned. Overall she had enjoyed the evening, it got her into meeting more people, reuniting with another and the opportunity to dance. Not wanting it to end and have the need to face what problems she had, she was dragging her heals slightly in saying good night.

"Totally."

The flirting was as obvious as it could be, Ar'ekk did not hide himself from that and tried to not make Ra uncomfortable with over the top compliments and whatnot. He was a gentleman above everything, of course, and pretty much played along with her obliviousness with his apparent "moves".

That's why everything went easy from now on between the two, keeping the playful comments and else for the right moment.

A sweet elixir of pink champagne and foreign delicatessen found their way into his mouth and between mouthful bites, he tried to continue talking but not before using a napkin to cover up what he was eating.

"It always rains back home so I was thinking in taking a relaxing hot shower after dancing all night."

His eyes dawled on Ra for a moment, grabbing another crêpehttps://img.sndimg.com/food/image/u...pes/18/41/0/mlUJhy1T3CFzP1eDMACA_DSC_0003.jpg from the table and eating it without spilling cream on his suit.

Chuckling a little when he agreed with her, Ra shook her head slightly and focused for a moment on eating. When he mentioned what he thought about doing after the event was over, she very likely blushed at his openness of his answer. While a shower did sound good, it wasn't something she considered mentioning.

"So are you staying here then?"

She was not, having just planned on being here for the event. Returning to her small fleet and then to meet with HK after.

"Nah, I'm not. Let's go."

And that was the end of the evening at the dance. Great food, a wonderful dancing companion, dressed in dapperly clothes and meeting with old/new faces made the night a splendid one. But now, it was time to go home but not before grabbing more crêpes for the long journey home.

The two-seated NX-249 Airspeeder would be waiting by a close docking bay. Its built-in automatic pilot was prepared beforehand to take its passengers back to Lithios safe and sound.

Cleaning his hands with a napkin and leaving the table behind, Ar'ekk gave the place one last look before heading for the exit with a big smile on his face.

It was a great night but it wasn't over yet.

Be brave, you can do this, you know how to address at least five hundred different positions of a myriad of species and this isn't even that formal. Your forebears have been doing this sort of thing for generations.

Taking a deep breath and steeling herself, the Kuati noblewoman moved forward from the fringes were she'd been loitering for most of the night. Connections. That was what she was most sorely lacking. It was true that in the end it was the opinions of her fellow Kuati that would decide her fate, but having connection in the galaxy could sway those who remained on planet. This she knew for truth, all her education agreed that it was so.

How best to approach then, where lay the highest possibility of reward? Maximise time. Accept that a new Queen Mother may not find time to speak to an unknown claiming to be of good breeding no matter that those claims were truth. Find a way to benefit in the waiting. Her questions where answered in a most serendipitous manner when she heard a well dressed Neimodian ask for audience with the Queen.

Ensuring she was within hearing range of [member="Rahn Haaku"] she spoke to one of the attendants of Queen Mother [member="Allana Djo"] herself. "Please inform the Queen Mother that Kanna of Kuat, Scion of House Kuat wishes to pay respects."

She couldn't claim to be Kuat of Kuat, not yet, but House Kuat, that at least was hers. She turned with a careful smile, teeth concealed as many species found that to be aggressive, for the Neimodean.

"Did I hear correctly, you are Minister of Foreign Affairs? I am surprised we have not met yet, and I am certain we will meet again in the future, I understand the current boundaries of your Alliance end just shy of my home."

So far they had gone through several cycles of foot work. Each step was clock work, a set number that was repeated over and over. She had the rhythm and now she had the step committed to memory. At least she had it somewhat committed to short term memory. That is mental memory and not muscle memory.

Though when she woke up this morning she had no idea she was going to be giving a lose lecture on the Force. “Genetics has less of influence. The Force does not actually discriminate. Genetics can play apart under certain situations. However it is far more random who is born more sensitive to the Living Force. It is complicated to explain. The Force is balance between everything; it is life and death, law and chaos, the Light the dark. It is the very energy that makes up everything. It is the binding energy that holds everything together. The random is just as much part of it as it strict structure. You’re just more sensitive thus making it easier for you to see how the cycle of life and death works. Anyone is capable of affecting our world. A Force Sensitive is just capable to affect our world through the very thing it gives it life and death. Thus that is why it is so import to be careful what you do with that blessing. You can affect people on a level that has profound metaphysical consequences. Many people have abused this over the years. It is only logical some would be upset. It is even logical some might act out in ignorance. The greatest way to change the world you live in. Look in the mirror and ask who do you wish to be.”

That was terribly long winded. She felt slightly embarrassed for having such a discussion in the middle of a dance. However this was a important discussion and this young man deserved to know the responsibility he has to himself and the rest of the galaxy.

Allana Badeaux

Ta’a Chume – Queen Mother
It did seem like a silly thing to be doing, in a public restroom in a grand palace during a dance. There was a chance to help two people to because friends. It could be a good friend step to any future conflict between the Silver Jedi and the Mandalorian Empire. That meant people would be relatively safe from the danger that the conflict would cause. The thought of how many lives could be saved if a understanding and a friendship could be sparked.

Ok the likelihood of that happening just by these two making a friendship was extremely low. However the likely hood if these two could might mean more could not do the same. If enough friendships like these could be made then it was possible. Allana did hold onto some of that hope. It was a nice idea even those the chances was low.

“Your Grace, Ta’a Chume Allana Djo”, a woman with short black hair and wearing the armor of the royal guard addressed Allana.

“Apologies Ladies”, Allana stepped away and excited the room with the Royal guard. She would leave the conversation between [member="Kat Decoria"] and [member="Beth Australis-Mantis"].

After leaving the rest room Allana was started to be filled in about [member="Rahn Haaku"] and [member="Kanna Kuat"]. Allana left the area she was speaking with the guard after giving instructions. The order was clear to send both Rhan and Kanna to the parlor that was the closet to Allana’s position. It was more than likely filled with people but was currently the quest most suitable location. Along the way Allana found another flute of that pink champagne.

This was quite the conversation. Syn hadn't expected to be touching on such a subject at a Royal Hapan Ball, nor did Kira likely either. What she'd said sounded nice and sensible but to Syn picking who he was wasn't a choice.

It was something that others molded. He was simply a byproducted of the Mandalorian Empire, of Clan Blacken and of the Force. 'It's too late for me to do that now.' Syn said replying.

'Things out of my own control made me who I am. Some I've accepted eagerly but others were forced onto me. I'm simply a killer connected to the force. Nothing more, nothing less.'

[member="Kira"]

[member="Cathbodua"]

"Within reason, of course. But that sounds like fun. I think I went first when I inquired why the Jedi Order, which I believe makes it your turn?"

Er'in smiled at Cathbodua, she still wasn't entirely sure 'home' was as important to her as she sometimes thought it might be, but it seemed there were some people here who were both worth her time and bore less prejudice than the the norm.

[member="Erin Tenel"]

Hmm the chance and possibility that she could ask her anything the jedi master needed to be clever.. well she was but more so here. THis one wasn't well ruled by her passions or desires. She wasn't as impulsive it semed which would lead to her making mistakes and slips of the tongue. No this one was cool and calculated... something of a different breed... well she was Hapan... that could change a lot of the deficiencies that came with others. "Well that might be the first mistake my Lady. I actually do enjoy learning about people and the question of what you do outside of learnign the force or advising and aiding the queen mother could be all the diference." She let a smile play on her face. "So what do you do in your spare time?"

Rahn Haaku

Minister of Foreign Affairs, CSA
There were many sentients mingling near him and Rahn had not paid them any mind aside from issuing polite greetings. They seemed to be of only moderate importance and after his terribly confusing experience in the bathroom, he was willing to stand silently until he was summoned. However his auditory nodes could not help but hear two names "Kanna", which was insubstantial and "Kuat," which may have been one of the most illustrious names on the guest list. The Neimoidian sighed. He couldn't help himself. He turned slowly in the direction of the name. He was planning on giving her a once over and perhaps inquire about her after his meeting had concluded, but it appeared she had other plans as she made her way through the crowd towards him.

Of middling height and a normal-enough appearance for a human, the woman's most memorable feature was her voice. It was a voice of self assuredness and authority that only generations of wealth and power could create. While she inquired about him, Rahn was certain that she already knew who he was and who he represented. "Of course. I can always make time for a member of the Kuat family." Rahn replied politely.

A Hapan guard arrived to escort them to a more private parlor at the Queen Mother's request. On the short walk, Rahn spoke to [member="Kanna Kuat"] about a recent border dispute involving KDY President Ferron Troste.

___________________________________________________________

Rahn, his droid TC-14, and Kanna of Kuat arrived in the parlor and were led before Queen Mother [member="Allana Djo"]. Rahn bowed to the waist, conveying great deference and respect. Not only his, but all of Commenor's as well. "Queen Mother, thank you for taking a moment to honor me with an audience. I am Rahn Haaku Minister of Foreign Affairs and behalf of the entire Commenor Systems Alliance I would like to extend our heartfelt congratulations to your ascension and we hope for a peaceful and prosperous reign." Rahn said before allowing Kanna Kuat her time to introduce herself.

That garnered a raised eye brow from Kira. There was a message she was trying to convey but she was unsure if Syn got the message. She was not trying to talk about controlling outside forces. She was discussing Syn’s reactions and his own actions. “It is a choice. I could feel anger but it is my choice to react upon that anger. I could defend but it does not mean I have to kill. Do not feel you’re obligated to be something you do not like. Being Mando’ade”, she spoke the name using the dialect of Mandalore as if she spoke it daily. Kashi genetic memory was unique and speaking Mando’a was something she had inherited from her father. “Following the six acts of Mandalore is a choice. It is not a society based on birth, but it is a society based off of belief. That is from the perspective that I’ve learned. Sorry, I’m not trying to lecture. It would just be a shame if you did not know if you had a choice. You always have time to choose a path you wish for yourself. The past is the past. The future is what you can make of it.”

[member="Syn Blacken"]

'You are right, following the beliefs of my people is a choice. Which is why I rarely follow them.' Syn could tell that Kira was amongst the kindest people he'd met. She barely knew him and was trying to help change the man for the better.

'The path I've taken might not be the kindest, nor was it by any means the easiest. However it was my own. Or so I thought until I began to really think. I may be Mandalorian, but I am by no means the same kind as those who bend before the Empire. May the Gods help any who think I am.' Syn said with a slightly chuckle as he continued to dance with Kira.

'I must ask you something Kira. And I by no means am saying this as an insult. But why do you care about the past or the future of a man like myself?'

Slowly, the music would come to a close, its tune falling silent as Vulpesen and Alexandra twirled along the floor. He believed that people were made by their memories, and with each step, he was reminded of that conviction. Good, bad, peaceful Alderaanian nights, and wars on unknown planets. Every beat of the music brought back something different.When the song finally ended, Vulpesen gently released Alexandra and started towards the floor. Perhaps there was something to be said, bt he couldn't think of it. Instead, he simply started to search for Lucas.

Alexandra Feanor

The Lady in Silver/Grey Historian
Alexandra smiled as the music began to end, knowing there wasn't much time left and she hesitated at the end, not sure what to do but in the end just letting go. She wanted to say so much to [member="Vulpesen"], so much that she could have done but in the end she just held on for a moment longer and smiled at him. She would have very little to do as he walked away and she reached up to touch at her hair, thinking about the situation she was in. Her feet carried her off to the side where she had clear her throat, not realizing how dry it was until then.

She quickly moved to get a drink from the table, taking it with her so she could go relax near a window. She wanted to look at the night sky and feel the wind. It felt nice, cool and her hand came up to rub her neck and try to figure things out inside her head. It was all confusing again but for the time she did not care if things like that were confusing to her.

A smile grew across her face, knowing nothing could interrupt her happiness for once.

Kista had the count now. They have moved through the steps for her Echani blood flowing through her taking each step in. “Why”, she began to answer that question, “Whatever you do it reflects like ripples through the galaxy. There is much war in the galaxy. It spreads its pain and suffering infecting all. Maybe I’m doing my part by spreading a bit of kindness. Maybe if we take the time to understand each other we will have a little less war. I could think of a dozen reasons to be kind to someone. All of them would be true to me as the person I am. It may not seem like much saying that you to the chaser at the super market. It does have a impact where you do or not. I would rather be the person who helps someone have a better day then the person who makes someone feel like there are not worth anything. That, and I’m a Empath… I can sense someone’s feelings just as easy some can smell a cake baking in the oven. At times it makes it difficult to do my job. To be able to sense a person’s feelings when they think they’re about to die is extremely difficult. It gives me perspective though. It helps me to know what to say to calm them.”

Kira thought, what she should say to continue the conversation after that. “Because of the work I do a lot of traveling. I’ve been stationed on a medical ship and I’m in command of it. I do get lots of travel time and see many different places, though it is not a luxury cruse as I go to one crisis after the other. Do you do lots of traveling?”

[member="Syn Blacken"]

'Yes it's more or less apart of my occupation.' He said with a nod. 'Rarely ever work on the same planet more then once. Of course if I happen to like the place then I'll visit it whenever I can.'

'Who knows Kira, one of these days we might run across one another. Given how our jobs seemingly parallel one another.' That would certainly be interesting. Syn just hoped it wouldn't be due to him needing medical attention. But rather a more social interaction.

Relina Zhan

Ducha of Gallinore, "Apollyon the Slayer"

"Midnight City" (M83)

Time: 1900 hours
Location: Gallinore, Dimitor City Limits

Opting to fly her own transport, as usual, Ducha Relina Zhan would certainly attend the royal event with her twin sister, Lady Alessandra. While her sister wore a fine cyan evening gown, sparse jewelry, had her hair fixed up in a fine stately updo, and had lovely matching sandals with both sets of nails done, Major Zhan still wore her military dress blues, although she packed an evening gown that was similar to her sister's but in purple. She even had the same shoes. The two women were like mirror images of each other, incidentally.

Yes indeed... Relina was the formal Ducha of Gallinore who lived in the Palace of Saint Clavelle on the other side of town, but was also a Major in the Royal Navy. A professional pilot, namely a combat pilot, flying her own transports set her apart from others of the Hapan nobility who tended to employ pilots as chauffeurs. Of course, this wasn't a starship she was flying, but rather, a classy, expensive hotrod airspeeder... her personal airspeeder, a recent model by a reliable make painted a flawless burgundy purple with chrome trim.

"Chateau Loire'an, this is Ducha Relina Zhan requesting priority permission to land." Relina said over the comm in flawless Hapan.

"Rodger, Ducha Zhan. Transmit ident code and priority clearance." came the reply from a gruff male voice on the other end.

"Transmitting now. Stand by.." Relina said, hitting a switch on the comm system's console. The signal was sent.

There was a brief pause. Then a reply, "Permission granted, Major. Dock at the east gate, Landing pad four."

Relina would grip the control stick and begin maneuvering toward the pad in question, its location lit up on her aircar's HUD. She turned off her radar sensor, the sort that was commonly referred to as a fuzz-buster, as she slowed her vehicle down to a safe landing speed. Once landed, she'd help her sister out of the air-car and gathered her dress bag, handing it and their other needful belongings over to a servant as one approached to meet them. Relina would check her rapier and sidearm shortly before putting her military beret on, double checking her appearance before she was to meet the Queen mother.... fashionably late, as one might say, although the two noblewomen had little excuse as they didn't live that far away.

"You know, Relina, there will be several suitable men here... Maybe this time we can get you a husband." Alessandra remarked, although Relina could intimately sense the sarcasm that wasn't that evident in her tone.

"... Oh sure! And I trust I'll have to fight you over him, too, no less." Relina scoffed, mockingly.

The two women snickered and giggled as they walked in toward the festivities.

[member="Allana Djo"] [member="Relina Zhan"]

Cathbodua was looking at the ones who were there and the dance finished. her body moving back as she bowed her face showing a grin that was wide. Eyes flicking back to look at the others when she saw the queen mother herself and another came to join them. The Lady Relina she had met once within the Republic. Cathbodua moved approaching her with a bow of her head. "Lady Zhan, it is good to see you once again and under better circumstances." The republic was something and she looked towards Allana with a nod of her head. "Queen mother I do hope this is going well. There are plenty of people here that I never would have imagined within the consortium."
