HK-36

The Iron Lord Protector (Neutral Good)

((Sorry for the pause, I was dealing with a migraine))

The droid kept on moving closer and closer towards the line of police officers at a steady pace. Eventually they would cross the line of their blockade, gently tilting and turning to dodge barricades and officers hurrying back and forth, making sure that they would not bump into anything or anyone and reveal themselves by an accident. At one point it seemed that just that would happen as an especially svelte officer shuffled in on a path to collide with them. HK froze, watching him from below the cloak, the droid's arm lifted up slowly as a Phrik wrist blade extended out silently in preparation for a fight.

The officer stopped right next to them, beady eyes fixated on the building as he belched out commands to other officers, apparently it was time for the Coruscant equivalent of SWAT forces to move in and deal with the situation inside. As he yelled his commands and gestured, his hand swatted by just inches away from them, HK leaning back gently to doge the limb. He moved to the side and tilted about as the special forces officers rushed past them, dodging their bodies.

Soon enough the stress would be over as HK managed to get past the police lines and sneaked into an alley behind them, adjacent to the building Rose indicated earlier. Once there the droid took a grappling gun from his belt and wrapped his other arm tightly around Rose, the Phrik wrist blade disappeared back safely behind the armored plates of his vambrace. He raised the grappling gadget, deciding it was a more silent replacement for his jet systems. The hook shot out from within the confines of his cloak, connecting to the edge of the building's roof via magnetic seal, the graphite cable tightening quickly as the gun pulled them up, raising them off of the ground quickly as HK held tightly to it in a vice like grip.

Rose and HK would quickly find themselves catapulted up onto the roof by the grappling gun, the droid's feet landing them safely on the solid surface as he flapped the cloak aside, freeing Rose from its confines, its material shimmering back to its usual black color. The droid deactivated the magnetic hook, cable retreated back into the barrel of his grappling gun and the gadget was holstered back on the droid's belt.

"All yours."

The droid quipped to Rose, letting her know they were clear for pick-up, as he grabbed his pair of magnetic revolvers, turning back in the direction of the police line, just in case one of the officers saw the disturbance in bent light while they were pulled up quickly by the grappling fun, or perhaps the droid's disembodied feet visible from below while he was near the roof.

Rose didn't have to be told twice.

The small communicator was once again pulled from her pocket and a quick command code was entered. Miles above them, coasting within the atmosphere The Wanderer would get a sudden ping to it's navigation systems. The navi-computer would spring to life, and the engines would suddenly turn and send the vessel spiraling down towards the ground. It was an instant, almost impossible turn that could only be done due to the lack of organics on-board.

Within half a heartbeat, a neat black dot would appear within the sky.

The ship dove down towards them, engines slowly shifting and thrust quickly stalling it backwards as the vessel came closer and closer to the surface of the planet. Eventually it twisted, evening itself out and becoming lateral towards the ground. It's engines gave one last push, a gust of wind erupting as the ship dropped just a few meters above the buildings. There were sounds of startled cries below, alarmed screams of a ship crashing into the ground, but it slowly came to a stop above the roof before causing any damage.

"Come on!" She shouted to the droid, The Wanderer's lower bay door dropping over as it reached the edge of the roof.

Aela waited only half a heartbeat, then broke out into a sprint.

She rushed across the expanse of the roof, breaking away from HK-36 and simply heading towards the cargo bay of her ship. As soon as she reached the edge of the roof she jumped, leaping over the small gap of air and landing with a heavy clank on the floor of her cargo hold.

"Come on!"

"I am coming, little Miss Pushy!"

The droid quipped back to her as the ship's approach attracted the attention of nearby law enforcement. Blaster bolts would erupt from below the roof's edge, trying to shoot them down before they escaped. HK returned the fire with a few shots of his revolvers, more for suppressing fire rather than actually harming them. He backpedaled following behind Rose as she jumped into her ship, little did he knew police sniper teams were moving up into the building behind them, already preparing to fire from the windows.

His head spun all the way around to note the ship's position before looking back to make sure he would intercept any fire that could harm Rose, watching her back. In mid run his jet systems activated, lifting him off of the ground to propel him through the gap and into the cargo bay. Jumping, what a silly organic restriction.

Either way, his feet would land with a heavy clank as well when the machine boarded The Wanderer,

"I am in!"

The droid informed Rose as his helmet pulled back automatically, revealing his faceplate. He looked back out of the cargo bay to make sure they were clear.

And then a gunshot rung out, sniper bullet cutting through the air as it impacted into the droid's photoreceptor, there was a loud cracking and sizzling sound,

"Chit."

He cursed, looking to Rose, his left photo sensor turned dark, no longer with crimson glow, cracked and sparking with electricity, black oil running down the machine's silver-pale cheek like thick blood,

"Get us out of here, please~"

HK begged as he looked back outside, his lightsaber activating, white blade erupting once more with that Light-side aura from his Force-imbued Solari crystal.
