Hey Nonny Nonny-No [Iron Empire and Allies Only]

Kiran Arlos

Guest
It didn't take Kiran took long to get suited up in the armor that was provided for the tournament today. It seemed like it was something similar to the Iron Legion armor however, was slightly more heavier. Kiran moved around a bit as he tried to get a feel for it and he grabbed the sword which of course, was also heavier than a lightsaber by quite a bit. He left the tent as he moved towards the dueling arena. Kiran glanced quickly to the right as he heard cheers and yells coming from that side, from the Jousting ring. The young man had hoped to try his luck there, however he felt best to start here and then depending on how well he did progress.

Kiran arrived just in time to see the start of the 2nd fight, the first one from what he gathered from the crowd, ended quite quickly with the champion still reigning. Kiran noted several things as the next fight progressed. The champion was quick, strong and seemed to have done this many times before. Kiran chuckled slightly as took a slight nervous glance around before his eyes fell back to the crowd.

The young man drew in a deep breath as the next challenger was defeated and thus there was a small 5 minute intermission before Kiran was next. The young man readied himself as he stepped into the ring, and he moved his sword around a few times, still adjusting to the Armor and getting used to the sword. No worries though, it was all for fun right?!

She sized up Théodred once more as he informed her that he too would be participating in the jousting tournament. She definitely had her work cut out for her. "Thank you, and likewise."

In no time at all, she found herself surrounded by fellow Silvers who began to congregate around the Hot Potatoe. Jedi, Rangers, and everyone in between. It brought her no small joy seeing such a lovely turnout from her students and colleagues, all so many new faces that had brought much-needed vibrancy to the Silver Order as of late.

Arisa couldn't help but let out a snort at Valae's comment this stuff suits you. Whether or not the joke had been intentional

Yuroic, one of her older apprentices, would follow up right behind Valae, looking a bit lost. She knew that look, too, as she had it all the time when she had first started out with the Silver Order a few years before without knowing a single soul.

"Hey there," she greeted. "We're off duty, and it's a festival. You can just call me Arisa." She didn't think of Yuroic as just as an apprentice, but as a friend as well. They had many things in common that made her feel especially close to him over previous apprentices. "The same goes for everyone."

"No, the armor isn't bad, actually," she replied to Nia. "But then admittedly I haven't done very much, yet. No fancy life support under the hood like my usual set."

While going through her greetings, the Jedi Master felt a small bump against her - in a more alert state, it wouldn't have happened. She turned into a very apologetic Talis, who she felt cringing with embarrassment.

"No you're fine," she told Talis with a shake of her head. "Looks like this armor is already being put to good use!" She made a little joke to put him at ease, a man she had noted to be quite self-concious
at times.

Surprisingly, she even saw Josh walking around. She had come a long way with the reclusive man, initially apprehensive of the Silver Order under her watch. Now she could count on seeing him roaming the grounds of the Silver Campus full time, always ready to crack a joke and have a good time. He was a nice addition to the Order.

As she continued to mingle, she would feel her newest apprentice Zadeehr. In comparison to the other padawan like Jerit, there was a noticeable disturbance within the young man, which was exactly why she kept him close as her apprentice. After most of her fellow Shadows had fallen to corruption while she had been Padawan, the Grandmaster kept a vigilant eye out any signs of trouble within the new ranks of the SJO.

"Well then, everyone, looks like I'll be returning to the jousting grounds to get some practice in, because I have no clue what I'm doing at this point. Whatever you all decide to with the rest of your day, try to have a good time, but please behave. We all represent the Silver Order wherever we go and should leave everyone with a good impression."

She gave everyone a small bow before she departed with the others from the Silver party joining her for the joust. Now came the challenge of trying to pick up on the sport only a short time before she had to go live. And learn she would, the competitor within her refused to see her get knocked around even in her first run.

Valae had returned Arisa's snort with a chuckle, and then followed it with a large bite of her baked potato. It was still quite hot, so she fanned her mouth the with palm of her hand. But she attempted a small smile at [member="Théodred Heavenshield"] when he accepted the potato that she had brought him. She looked up to see that the gathering next to Hot Potatoe was now growing, quickly. As [member="Yuroic Xeraic"] approached, rather than speak with a mouthful of food, she offered a friendly wave.

It seemed each newcomer would be followed by another. Chestnut eyes grew wide with amusement as she spotted [member="Kastin Valentine"] approach. The medic was completely bedecked with flowers from head to toe. Her smile grew wide as she offered a polite nod to the man.

With the area was crowded as it was, people were bustling about the rows of vendors. And so, she wasn't surprised when the form of [member="Talis Palecrest"] collided with that of the Grandmaster. However, both were uninjured -- no harm done!

Momentarily letting her attention drift away from the group, she felt a familiar presence nearby. A quiet smile found her face as she realized that [member="Samara Raine"] must have been nearby. She was glad that her new apprentice had opted to visit the festival, perhaps the two would find some time to enjoy the sights together.

"Good luck, Arisa!" She called as the Grandmaster excused herself to prepare for the joust. Turning next to Theo, she grinned. "You're jousting, too? I'll be in the stands to cheer you on."

Those participating in the joust were far braver than she, Valae could not imagine trying -- let alone riding a horse! It was certainly bound to be an interesting sight to see. And she would enjoy her vast array of snacks while she took in the joust.

This meat was great! Kaili tore a piece of it off and continued to stare at the scene playing out before her. Even more people approached the crowd, the rest of the marketplace started to feel rather small when put in comparison to it and every here and there Kaili would notice the looks of those that passed her by as they looked at the crowd trying to make sense of how it had even gotten that big. She did notice Theo’s joy at seeing her and smiled in his direction as a result. It lasted for a bit, eyes wandered around the area to try and find out what the others were up to. More and more people seemed to stream in and Kaili had to admit even she found it perhaps a bit much. At least to simply sit around and stare at them.

Kaili had to go. Her head nodded at Theo, just in case he noticed her, and then she went off. Where that was remained to be seen. The fair was all things considered rather big, she’d find something. Boots shuffled through the dust and gravel that made out the roads around the place. Nah, she went where her mind told her to go, and right now that was towards the… That place over there. A stable, perhaps? She hoped for metallic beasts with innards of silicon, but she already knew she was wrong. Didn’t mean she wouldn’t go there. The signs might have said off-limit for visitors, but uh…

Hand subtly shifted by her side to let the force unscrew the bolts holding it in place. A minute, maybe two was allowed to pass before she made her move. At this point it wasn’t a breaking and entering, was it? Nah, it was more a woman being unaware that she had passed into a restricted area.

The great horse heist!

Really, who would steal horses in this day and age?

Kaili walked up the road towards the stable. Oh there was no doubt someone who would catch her, the question that burned ever so curiously on her mind was not who but rather when.

… Well. That remained to be seen.

Leah Winsclav

Pinkie Extended, Tea Sipping
Leah arrived a little late, she had to deal with a business meeting that had consumed a lot of her time. Her lateness was more than likely not going to be noticed, since she was neither invited, nor expected. She had just taken an interest in the gathering due the presence of the famous and rather fun competition of Jousting. Though not a expect in the practice, Leah has witnessed Jousting many a time, having spent a section of her life around people who considered the sport a way to settle matters and debates.

Having already eaten, the woman passed all of the offered food and refreshments, both having no desire to eat here and having brought her own food and drink- carried within the small basket clutched in her right hand. A picnic lunch if anything. The route she took to the jousting area was the quickest she could find, there were absolutely no people she recognized so far, which was a little disconcerting.

Having soon arrived at the Joust area, the woman spotted a corner that had an unoccupied seat, worming her way over she planted herself there and placed the basket in front of her, smoothing down her business attire and focusing on the preparations.

Some of those horses looked rather nice.

Josh had been about to reach the drinks - and probably would have ended up drinking himself stupid without someone around to distract him - had he not caught a glimpse of a very familiar sight and sensed a very familiar presence. He would stand upright and turn to stare at her for a moment in surprise, waiting a moment to truly grasp that it was her. When it was confirmed it indeed was her, his eyes, his face, everything about him just brightened up, and the love and affection he held for her was just plastered all over his face, especially in his eyes at that moment.

Shmi DragonsFlame, formerly the Grandmaster [member="Shmi Labooda"] had quite caught his attention. Quickly, he would make his way toward her, and when he did, he would stop, smirking as he took her hands in his own.

"Well, color me surprised, you actually showed" He would tease, a cheeky expression crossing his face as he snuck a quick peck on her lips. "You get here okay? Jason's okay with the babysitter? Are you nervous at all?" He began to bombard her with questions, which was commonplace for him... He was a worrywart. Shmi knew this.

Yuroic spotted his drunk Padawan friend, seemed to have had one too many ales. Yuroic chuckled as Dagos seemed to be in good spirits. Might want to slow down on the drink my friend. Spilling more than you are drinking there! Giving Dagos a hearty slap on the back as he teased the fellow Padawan. He looked over to Arisa and nodded his head, he felt honoured that she considered him a friend and a small ball of pride inflated within himself.

Thank you Master, ahem, I mean Arisa... He gave a shy smile, he respected his Master too much to easily fall out of habit of using her correct title. There was a time he hated the term master, but this was different, she was his mentor, and she was a master of knowledge. Yuroic looked around and saw other Padawans and more Jedi he sort of recognised. I wish you well in the jousting M... Arisa. Urm, I think I am going to explore a bit more. This is all quite new to me. With a bow of his head, he wandered off.

He decided to check out the various stalls, there were stalls selling fresh bread, mead, ales, jewellery, honey and more. He sampled some of the free items, having no money of his own. His personal favourite was the warm fresh bread, it tasted infinitely better than the instant rolls he use to eat on Nar Shaddaa. Nowhere near as dry and rough. However, the drinks were pleasant but since his night of binge drinking he preferred soft drinks, like water. Less vomiting after four or five pints.

Moving on from the stalls, he took a look at the various events that were going on. Curious if there was anything he might be interested in partaking.

The darkness lays ever near the light.
I made my way of with Gran- Ahem, Arisa, towards the jousting... Arena? I suppose that's the proper term. Anyway, it was quite an uneventful walk there, no one particularly talked at all, well, no one talked about anything of note, or anything even remotely important. I could, of course, list the conversation, but why would you need to know? You just don't. Anyway, I should probably get back to the story.

We all arrived in the preparation area that had been laid out for us, a few benches. That's right, only a few. I'm not going to complain, though. I removed my trench coat, laying it over one of the benches, making sure to keep it away from the floor. This thing cost me a lot, there is no way in hell that I was going to get it dirty. I then adjusted my armour, and got a feel of how it moved, rolling my shoulders back to get myself ready. From there, I awaited instruction to what exactly I was doing here...

The trader of the Hot Potatoe had to send out a boy to get more .. potatoes, he had never dreamed that today would bring him such a bounty of profit and already he had had enough of it to retire for the remainder of the year, not that he would after all there was much to gain from his wares all around Iron Empire space and beyond. His mind was working on expanding maybe open up a chain of shops? or travel to festival after festival? the trader wore a permanent smile on his face and credits continued to clink in the money box.

Some of the group that had gathered around the Hot Potatoe mostly from the Silvers, had moved away to find adventure or fun or drink, which settled his nerves somewhat .. until the herald blow the trumpet, signalling for those who would participate in the Joust to rally within their tents and prepare. "All Competitors for the Joust! Rally to your tents around the arena!". Came the cry over the sound system. Théo suddenly lost his appetite for his potatoe once more and turned to Valae, "I will need all the cheering I can get", he managed a smile. "If you would excuse me, I shall prepare". He addressed those remaining and bid them luck before he went to find his tent and no doubt he would be face some of them on the opposite side of the Jousting run.

Midday was fast approaching.

((OOC: For those that will be participating in the Joust, please indicate at the top of your next post. This way I can get an idea of numbers and pair everyone up!))

From a distance, it would seem as if it were meering a small dot. Though, eventually it would get closer and closer. Until it would eventually appear to be a man, dressed in fur-armour on a pretty beat up speeder. He would come to a halt, stepping off the speeder and automatically causing it to power down, landing on the ground as two prong-like sticks stuck out to balance the vehicle from falling over.

Iriaan turned and glanced outwards over the festival, a slim smile appeared bringing back many childhood memories. The cheering, laughter and most of all the smell in the air of simply joy. They were enjoying themselves, it was a good time and he had sadly arrived late. Making his way through the various tents he would approach a large crowd. Then enterring the arena, making his way within the stands. He sat down and glanced onwards for the entertainment. He knew several of his Iron brothers were here, most notibly the Iron Praetor himself. This was a chance to meet and greet with his peers.

He tapped his armour-played fingers across the railing running around the arena, patiently. Turning to one of the bystanders waiting aswell, a woman with long blonde hair. "Ma'am, when does this start?" He inquired, only to be replied with "Soon, Sir-" Then she was cut off by the herald blowing his trumpet and then the announcement came. The pair looked to one another with a grin and then a nod, with Iriaan turning back to the arena waiting.

"Hey" she said dragging it out as she tilted her head playfully, she didn't see him at first until he grabbed her hands, and of course there he was smirking. He was probably up to something. She was bombarded with questions, she shook her head and laughed before glaring at him. "Oh don't you act so concerned...you were just about to drink yourself stupid." she teased, of course she caught a stray thought or two...but this was only her teasing.

After laughing, "But yeah I know...it took a lot of thought for me to make the final decision to come." her chest lifted as she inhaled air, and then rescinded as she released it. "However, I'm here...it was about time anyway. I was tired of sitting at home...though I feel like I should be there anyway haha"

This was the first time she'd been away from Jason...it frightened her a bit, "But Arisa couldn't have chosen anyone better to step in. Jason will be fine. Are you going to be jousting?" she teased.

OOC: Joining the Joust

Horns were sounded as the joust was about to begin, and a man stepped forth to announce the first pair of competitors to the crowd lining the jousting run.

"My lords and ladies, I welcome you to the main event of this grand festival: The Joust! Brave knights shall test their mettle on horseback, hoping to unseat the other with the thrust of their mighty lance! The judges have convened and paired up the contestants, and we have our first two ready to face each other in honourable duel!" Hold for applause.

"To my left, we have the undefeated champion himself: Roger Knightly!" A man clad in pristine, bright armour sat upon his horse, embodying all the grandeur and chivalry one would associate which such an event. He bowed to either side of the stands from his white horse, also clad in form-fitting plate armour matching his own. Together they were the perfect image of an archetypical knight upon his trusty steed.

"And to my right, the challenger! A man of unknown name and origin, so we shall simply call him: The Black Knight!" A stark contrast to the aforementioned Roger Knightly, this contestant donned dark, gloomy-looking armour from head to toe, heavier by the looks of it than that of his opponent, and the man himself towered above most others. He rode an equally black horse to complete the picture of an impending doom, as if he were one of the four riders of the apocalypse.

A horn sounded, and they were off! Roger Knightly rode well and his handling of the lance was true, facing down his opponent with steely determination. As the two closed the gap between them, the crowd held their breaths as they were about to crash into one another. A loud, clanking noise was heard throughout the tourney grounds, and the previously white knight now looked considerably more dirty as he found himself rolling around in the much, having been unseated expertly by the black rider.

The announcer and most of the audience could not believe what they had just witnessed. How could their champion be so soundly defeated in one swift blow? The Black Knight paid them no mind and simply returned to his corner where he got off his horse with a loud *thud* as his feet hit the ground. He stood victorious for the time being, and would as the new champion await the next challenger.

"Uh... Yes, erm, we have our victor of this round! Rest now, brave sir knight, and we shall summon thee for thy next fight when the time is right! For now, let us greet the next two competitors!"

"Oh chit." he swore looking down and seeing that Yuroic wasn't wrong. His everyday Jedi attire was covered in beer and he must of look like quite the drunken mess to every one. So much for leaving everyone with a positive first impression.

"Sorry." He apologized to the others for cursing. It wasn't proper for him to use such language around women or strangers. It certainly couldn't of helped with their impression of him. After Master Yune and Yuroic walked off Dagos was left with surround by faces he did not recognize and so he did not linger any longer than he had to standing in beer soaked robes.

Dagos walked for a bit pushing through the crowds and finishing his mug of beer before finally coming upon a pop up shoppe with an assortment of clothes that were much more fitting of the event at hand. Dagos entered with the sound of a small bell ringing as the swung opened and closed behind him.

"Welcome, welcome, welcome." Said an a man behind the counter. He was older with gray spots starting to show in his closely cropped black hair and goatee. He was bespecled with laugh lines around his mouth that made him look like someone's favorite grand father.

"Hi." Dagos said with a smile. "I could use some new clothes." he said with indication at the sate of his current attire.

"No doubts there. Do you have credits?" The shop keeper asked.

"Some." Dagos said pulling some credit chips from the pocket of his robes.

"Plenty." The man said with a smile.

After some time Dagos left the shop in a new silver doublet embroidered with a black flower like design and a new coin purse to hold his credits.

Aster's heart raced as she entered the festival grounds escorted by the Wolfsglaive. It had been a while since she last made a public appearance so it was only natural that she would feel a little nervous.

"Look! The Wolfsglaive!" A child exclaimed in excitement.

"Is the princess with them?" Another chimed in just as excited.

"Hopefully!" the first replied.

Having overheard the conversation between the children, Aster requested that a short detour be taken and made her way towards the youthful voices.

"Hello," she greeted the children with a gentle smile, oblivious to the small crowd that was beginning to gather around her.

"Princess," they whispered and pointed to her as if she was some exotic creature.

Oh chit, Aster thought, maintaining her smile. More accustomed to being Aster the padawan rather than princess, she had forgotten the excitement royalty tended to evoke in the populace and so, begrudgingly - without betraying her true emotions, the teenager feigned excitement and greeted the crowd enthusiastically all the while feeling awfully self-conscious.

House Heavenshield
Family, Duty, Honour

After bidding everyone farewell for now, Theo made his way to the stables before he would find his tent in a field by the joust arena which would be easy enough to find with the House Heavenshield banner flapping in the breeze. But first he needed to prepare Black Ice, a strong stallion from the stock of Rildonmark of Midvinter. Black Ice is a descendant of Black Wing, the mighty war horse of Master Aerin Firebrand, Shieldmaiden and close friend to former High King of Midvinter Thrand Dawnbringer now deceased. Black Wing had rode to glory in the battle before the gates of Thainbroek, bearing both Maiden and King through the fires after the King had been seriously injured. But the day was theirs, and the Heavenshield's alongside the King had proven victorious and the Dawnbringer had regained his throne, as was his right.

Theo had Black Ice transported to the joust several weeks prior to it in order for the equine to acclimatise with a little help from the force via Theo. And this horse was no stranger to such events as today, not that there are many jousts on Midvinter, in fact there are none, but there are other means by which to train a horse to ignore crowds and noise. And so he entered the stables to find him only to discover a couple in there already, a girl he did not know [member="Leah Winsclav"] and [member="Kaili Talith"]. Ah so this is where she slunk off to, I guess she likes the smell of horse sh .. "Hello there". Whatever her motives were, he paid them no mind.

He found Black Ice soon enough and began to saddle him up, pulled on the girth as Black Ice drew in breath and secured it. He knew something was afoot, pouring at the ground eager to get on with it, head tossing from side to side throwing his long black mane about very proud of himself and his looks. And Black Ice had every right to do so, he was majestic. Now Theo can ride and ride well, but Joust? well may the Gods of Midvinter look down on him with favour this day.

Leading Black Ice from his stall by the reins he turned to the two ladies, "I don't suppose either one of you would like to be my squire for the day, that is if you are not doing anything else", he shot them the Heavenshield smile, just before continue out the stables to find his tent and kit up. However, his attention was taken by the current event on the List. He had just made it in time to see a mysterious knight unseat the champion of the Festival, with a decisive hit. [member="The Black Knight"], seriously? either way he looked the part and .. could joust. I got a bad feeling about this.

"Mister has got a big nice horsey", a pesky jester danced around Theo and Black Ice. "Gonna need a big thick stick to best the Black Knight mister, gonna need ya wits, gonna need to use that noggin of yours". She pranced off laughing to herself to go find her next victim.

Free ale! Free! At least he believed it was free. He just took it from a stall and no one seemed to object. He had come in wearing heavy metal armour, shrugging it around as he felt completely uncomfortable in it. How did people wear this crap? Adjusting it as he gulped down his fourth or fifth pint of ale, looking for his next one. Wiping the head of the ale from his lips as he poured himself another from a completely new stall, he headed over to where jousting was being done. Not one for riding horseback, he was glad to not have entered, preferring to do something like wrestling or hand to hand combat. Even sword combat be fun, though Jedi be all over that and he rather not fight Jedi, not out of respect but because he didn't want to see their smug look after they beat him.

Snorting as he decided to flick thoughts of negativity away, he plopped himself down next to an attractive lady and gave her a smile, Hey... *burp* I'm Fedrig, merc and all out handsome guy. He gave [member="Leah Winsclav"] a wink as he offered her a drink of ale. It's great stuff and free! Damnnnn I could get use to this. He leaned back as he watched the jousters come out to face one another. Interested in seeing who would actually win, though he thought the horses themselves were more than likely the more impressive show.

Kiran Arlos

Guest
Kiran entered the ring as he glanced around, a bit nervous to be honest. While this event wasn't the main part of the festival, as was its Jousting counterpart it still seemed to garner a few people around. He hoped to do at least somewhat decent. Simply because if he lost, everyone would hear about it. Kiran chuckled lightly at the thought, while he knew this was just good fun, he hoped to have that at least. If that was the case, then that was all that mattered.

Kiran gripped the sword tight, however not to tight as he moved his blade around a bit, getting a decent feel for the blade again and he noted again that it was slightly heavy. However he was pretty strong and quick for his age, however it looked like his opponent was stronger, and faster. And as the first strike came down towards his, and his sword rose up quickly to deflect thus began the sparring, and the light clash of blunt steel. Left, right, back, forward, there were some strikes that Kiran was luckily able to avoid in general, which provided a good stance for him, however the times that their steel did clash, it was evident that Kiran was at a disadvantage. A few more rounds of sword clashes and deadlocks and his opponent caught him off guard with a quick strike towards his right calf which knocked him to the ground.

On his back as he brought up his sword to block the incoming strike and thus another one came round about and Kiran's blade rose again to block the attack and this time the weight of his opponents sword coming down with so much force knocked his blade off to the side, at which Kiran was now at his mock mercy.

"Yield." His opponent, the current champion said with the sword pointed towards him.

Kiran chuckled a little bit as he raised his visor a bit and nodded. "Aye, I yield."
There was a sudden round of applause for the two fighters, primarily more for the current champion. As the man help Kiran to his feet at which Kiran responded with raising the champions hand in the air, bringing about more applause.

"You fought well, I'll see you around." The champion nodded to Kiran as they shook hands. "Thanks, see ya." Kiran watched him walk off and he turned to pick up the sword he used and he just laughed. "That wasn't so bad." He did hope the Praetor [member="Théodred Heavenshield"] fared better in his jousting run than Kiran did with his sparring session, as word of the current joust had reached the sparring ring. Kiran looked to get out of his armor and return to his original attire and make the joust in time.

As the joust participants went off to prepare, the group started to thin out. Valae stood for a couple of moments, and peeled back the wrapping of her hot potato. If all the action was about to start, she figured that it would be a good idea to make her way to the stands to grab a seat. After all, she wanted to have a good view of her friends. With a little nod to those still around the stand, Valae strode off through the crowd.

"Goodness..." She said quietly, blinking a couple of times.

The stands were filling quickly in anticipation of the joust. Weaving her way through the crowd, she managed to find a seat at the end of a long bench. She quickly finished off her potato, and thought about moving on to some of her other snacks, but told herself to wait. And it was then that her eyes found a vendor wandering the seats. Squinting, it seemed that he was selling some kind of popped corn. Her hand was in the air before she even realized it.

"One right here!" Valae called with a wide grin.

Now that she had a large bag of popcorn, she was ready to settle in and watch. Already she could see horses being led about, and more folks clad in armor. Valae smiled, this was certainly exciting.

The darkness lays ever near the light.
Darren made his way to his tent to prepare. Nothing much was said along the way, nor when he was preparing. He took off his trench coat, revealing a set of armour. It was not too fancy, just a few plates, some chain mail and some armourweave. It was thrown together last minute using whatever was on hand, basically. A white tabard draped down over it, bearing the sigil of the Silver Jedi Order. He let off a large smile as he made his way over to the horse he would be using. A frail beast, it's skin marbled and one of it's eyes was quite obviously lazy. He had been stuck with the final horse, the runt of the litter, just like himself.

He moved his hand through it's mane, the horse not completely sure what was going on. Darren was never an animal man, though this one horse had already created a bond with him.

((OOC: Jousting. Sorry for the lack of content in this post, I was struggling a bit.))

OCC: Joust

Nia watched her fellow Jedi go they're separate ways, then an idea came to mind. "Hmm Jousting does sound interesting, maybe I should try it." The girl smiled as she heard the call for the jousters to prepare.
With no thought of telling the others she made her way to a vacant tent with no one present and looked amongst the suits of armour, of course since she was little they were far too big for her, eventually she found a set of her size.
It took awhile for her to get ready, of course it was more difficult with no assistance. She was all set as she placed the helmet over head which bore a crown of white flowers on top, the same she wore before.

"I just need to find a horse." And found one she did, coated in black and white http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-zXNZgCNFgfY/VIX7YckbM7I/AAAAAAAABbU/1VrXTEvkQIM/s1600/joustingguyB%26W.jpg. Nia's soul was filled with excitement as she mounted and waited her turn, much to no ones knowledge of her participation.
