Hidden Treasure. Lost to time.

Seth Huze

Wolfboy Extraordinaire Tresure Hunter
Dellalt.

Seth smirked as his wolf jumped to grab a piece of raw meat from his hand. "Aye you got close there boy, too bad." Seth grinned. The wolf growled at Seth, but he just giggled before bitting off a piece and throwing the rest to the wolf. He looked out to a lake and sighed going through a plan in his head.

Seth was on Dellalt for one reason and one reason only... treasure. The rumors of hoards of treasure in hidden vaults under a ruiend city just captivated the teen. He ran a hand through his unkept hair and smiled.

"You probably know this already, but I reached out for some help. I don't think we can do this alone boy." Seth said as he tussled the Wolf's fur. Seth sighed and crouched next to the wolf. His unbuttoned shirt touching the wet ground.

"So yeah that means less of a cut I guess, but who cares? We're here for the rush." Seth laughed as his wolf yipped in excitement.

Seth grinned and tackled the wolf, playfully rolling around with it. Soon a large figure would cast a shadow on the two.

"Ahem."

Seth looked to the source and got up.

"Yo, what's up brah?" Seth asked with a dopey smile.

The Dellaltian growled.

"You're the one who asked me here, you need to get ferried across the lake?" He asked.

Realization hit him like a sack of bricks. "Oh, you're the guy with the raft! Yeah big guy I'm in need of your services...I do have a few others on the way though. I'm Seth" Seth said as he ran a hand throw his hair. The Dellaltian just looked down towards Seth's wolf.

"I don't like dogs." He said in a menacing voice.

Again with people thinking his wolf was a dog. Clearly they needed to get educated. Seth frowned.

"Actually this guy right here...is a wolf, common misconception." Seth said as he pet the wolf. "He's real friendly. And even knows tricks." Seth rambled.

The Dellaltian sighed as it turned and walked to it's large raft. Seth sighed and looked down.

"It's okay boy, people just don't understand you the way I do. Hopefully the others will show soon." Seth said as he waited in the clearing near the lake.

Dellalt had always been a calming Place for Gray, even though this was only the fourth time he was there. And he had never come there to just relax or enjoy the view. No, there had always been some business involved, often business of the well paying kind. And that was also the reason Gray was here now.

He had found an ad from someone asking for help in recovering a treasure, which was rumored to be on Dellalt. The normal person would probably Call it hogwash and not even consider it, but Gray wasn't what you would Call normal. Sometimes, he took desicions like that purelly based on how he felt when he read it. And he also liked a good treasure hunt, as long as it wasn't very related to any force jumbo-mumbo. Gray tried to steer slear of most of that.

Having parked his ship at the local spaceport, Gray made his way towards one of the beaches on this continent, where he was supposed to meet the one who had put this operation together. Gray didn't know much about him, but didn't really need to either. As long as he could lead, that was enough.

Reaching the Beach, Gray could only see Three Creatures. A Young human, a canine creature and a Dellaltian. It seemed he had found the ones he was looking for. The leader was most likely the human, unless the dog could speak and lead. The Dellaltian was probably their ferryman. Approaching them, Gray raised a hand. "Hey kid, you the one looking a treasure? Name's Gray, and I'm here to join."

A pair of tired nut brown eyes peeked from behind a huge crate lying inside the cargo hold of a massive freighter that was being unloaded. Ugh... Was she already there? Alema wasn't sure of how long she had been asleep or if she even was currently on the surface of Dellalt, her intended destination, but she for sure never expected the hazardous trip to be this short. After all, the Tukian had jumped inside the unknown ship on Takodana... and as far as she could tell the two planets were quite far away from each other.

Alema yawned quietly and squinted her eyes, the light coming from the outside partially blinding her tired eyes as she looked at the armed guards carrying huge containers that most likely held... something questionable inside of them. The Twi'lek was quite sure that if she was to get caught, there would be consequences of some kind, so she had to act fast, despite wanting to lie down and continue sleeping. The ramp was easily wide enough for Alema to run past the men without any of them having time to even notice or catch her, so she saw it as the most efficient and actually the only option at the moment.

Quickly checking she had her blaster and datapad on her brown belt, Alema got up from behind the crate, swiftly running past the guards, waving them goodbye and thanking them in Ryl before, quickly starting to make her way toward the beach and toward her potential contact, looking over her shoulder a few times to make sure she wasn't followed.

"Arni'soyacho..." The Twi'lek chuckled a bit to herself, as she noticed a man that matched the description of her... employer

After all, Alema did actually have a proper reason to be Dellalt. A proper and an... exciting one for sure.

Seth looked to the Dellaltian, he wondered if the reptile did tricks, like if Seth had a fish and asked the creature to roll over. Seth chuckled at the thought of such a large being just rolling over for fish. Seth would definitely roll over for a piece of fish, he smirked. His thoughts were interrupted by Gray, who suddenly spoke.

"Treasure?...oh yeah the treasure! Yeah man, as long as your up for an adventure." Seth said with a dumb grin. As soon as the words left his mouth Alema would speak.

"Arni'soyacho!"

Seth's face went blank, and he tilted his head, eyeing Gray Venasir for help. "Arni'-what?" Pure confusion hit Seth.

Seth looked to his wolf for help but only got a tilted head and a whine in return. He frowned, a bit frustrated he ran his hand through his hair. Then he remembered Gray! Gray might know a thing or two.

"Uhm Gray is she okay?" Seth asked, he'd really only been exposed to basic, and wasn't taught other languages. He smiled to the woman.

Quickly after he had arrived and was assured he had met the right guy, a twi'lek came towards them. Gray hadn't associated with many twi'lek before, only a few on Nar Shaddaa and one or two after he began smuggling. And even fewer of those he met on Nar Shaddaa were friendly or brave enough to speak with strangers. So Gray was as much in the dark regarding what the woman standing in front of them had just said.

He looked at Seth, shrugging to show that he didn't know what it meant. But he had heard enough from the few twi'leks he had met to hear that it was probably just something she said in her language. "Pretty sure she's alright. What she said was just something in twi'leki, right?" he turned to the woman.

He then extended a hand to her. "Name's Gray." Then he waited for her to reveil her name, if she wanted. She was probably one of the others Seth had contacted to join in the treasure hunt. But how many Seth had contacted was a mystery at the moment. Hopefully not too many more, that meant more the share the treasure With. And that was not good business.

Alema glanced at the two humans, one of them turning around after noticing her and the second one already staring directly at her. They both perfectly filled the essential characteristics of potential criminals or... treasure hunters and the one that had a huge dog of some sort next to him just had to be the leader. A slight wave of relief went through the Twi'lek's body and came out of her mouth as a quiet sigh as she made her way next to the men. After all, Alema could actually be sure that she was indeed in the right place and at the right time now...

Looking at the enormous dog and fighting with the irresistible urge to pet it, it took a few seconds for Alema to realize that the man she was standing next to was talking about her.

"Huh... yeah, yeah"

She swiftly looked up, giving the charming guy that politely introduced himself as Grey a gentle smile under her light scarf coupled with a quick and firm handshake.

"Call me Alema"

The Tukian eyed him for a few seconds before turning back to the other man who she naturally assumed to be Seth, her original employer.

"We're all here for that treasure huntin' stuff, ye?"

Seth nodded as Gray reassured him. The teen watched carefully as the Twi'lek eyed his wolf. He beamed a bright smile. Alema introduced herself and shook Gray's hand, then turned to Seth. She asked if they were all here for the treasure and Seth jumped up and down a bit.

"Oh Yeah!! Totally..." He paused, seeming to be deep in thought, but only for a split second. He turned to the very large Dellaltian and slapped the reptile on the chest lightly.

"This guy is gonna bring us as close as he can to the ruins. From there we have some exploring to do." Seth looked to his Wolf. "This is my best friend, he's real friendly, you guys can get to know him if you want." Seth smiled as he gestured to his wolf.

"Oh yeah hopefully you guys know a thing or two about fighting, there might be some threats in a ruined city like that, even more so when we reach the vaults." Seth sighed. He turned to board the raft.

"You guys prepared for this?" Seth asked as he eyed the two others. They looked really capable so Seth had a good feeling about this.

The green skinned twi'lek was surprisingly friendly, shaking his hand and telling her name without any hesitation. It was hard to find someone being so little reserved in a career as Gray's, and it gave him a good feeling. "Pleasure to meet you Alema."

Then looking at Seth, who seemed very happy that she had arrived. He was a bit too excitable for Gray's style, but working for him didn't seem that bad, and it might end up as fun. And besides, the treasure was bound to be good. Walking to the Dellaltian, who supposedly was the one to bring them to the treasure location, Gray took a look out over the Ocean. It spanned long into the horizon, which promted Gray to Wonder where the treasure was located.

But the mention of fightting turned his attention back. There was always bound to be fighting on hunts like this, but Gray came prepared. "Off course I know how to fight," he said while a small smile formed on his lips. He took one of his blasters from it's holster, and spun it around his finger. "There's been more than one time I've had to fight my way out of situations that went South."

He looked at the two, then to the Dellaltian. If they were all who were going on this hunt, he saw no reason to delay it any further. "I'm ready. Should we get this underway before it gets dark?" The question was not meant to be answered, it was more as a way of saying that they should get started.

The way the apparent 'leader' of the group was acting made it quite clear that he was... careless. It made the Tukian feel a bit odd. Not genuinely scared, but... a bit uneasy of the fact that they could all get themselves killed without a forceful leader that actually took their job seriously. On the other hand, the fact that the human didn't even seem to be slightly uneasy made Alema feel a tiny bit more relaxed. Perhaps there absolutely was no reason to be genuinely worried at all?

Alema decided not to overthink stuff. Not just yet at least. After all, just getting here had been stressful enough for her... although she had slept peacefully through most of the hazardous trip.

Instead, the Twi'lek glanced at Gray who was now spinning his clearly used blaster on his finger. Realizing that the two men were apparently talking about fighting, Alema quickly eyed both of them before nodding a bit. The Tukian tried her best to assure both of the men that she could defend herself quite well too.

" You two... Don't worry 'bout me, ok? I can throw some mean punches as well"

Turning her attention to the grumpy Dellaltian who would apparently be the one carrying the whole group to the 'ruins', Alema realized that she knew nothing about the destination of the raft she would be stepping in to. 'The ruins' could practically mean anything. The remains of a grand castle filled with some hostile and probably disgusting creatures? A destroyed city filled with bloodthirsty pirates ready to defend their priceless treasure? Either way, whatever was waiting on the other side of the raft ride was most likely valuable, and someone was willing to fight furiously for it.

And with that, the Twi'lek boarded the huge raft, still quite unsure if she'd have the courage to pet the enormous and apparently friendly animal walking next to the younger human.

Seth made his way to the raft, his wolf keeping pace, only a step behind. The teen ruffled the Wolf's grey coat as they stepped on to the raft.

Seth was glad the two other treasure hunters were at least talking, it would be odd if they just didn't acknowledge each other.. Seth smirked. He watched quietly as his wolf laid down next to [member="Alema Rol'za"], huffing as it did.

Seth watched as [member="Gray Venasir"] spun his blaster around and reassured Seth. The man then asked if they were ready, and commented that they should get going before it got dark. Seth smiled brightly.

"Oh good idea Gray. If it got dark, how would we see the treasure, or the ground in front of us. I forgot my lights...but ya we should get going." Seth said, not realizing it was a rhetorical question.

The wolf whined at Seth, which caused the young treasure hunter to look in it's direction. "Oh calm down boy, Alema is a friend. Don't complain. You're the one who chose to lay by her feet." Seth said. He turned to Alema.

"Sorry, he's a sourwolf. You can pet him if you want to." Seth said with a grin. The teen then perked up, remembering what the group was there to do. He looked over to the Dellaltian and laughed.

"Lizard man!" Seth said loudly, a playful tone in his voice. The Dellaltian turned it's head, not bothering to fully face Seth as it got to the raft's controls.

"Let's get going dude, it's time for adventure!" Seth said with a laugh. Slowly the raft began to move off the bank, towards the open waters.

"Okay dude and dudet." He said as he clapped his hands together.

"Big guy over at the controls are gonna take us to some other wise inaccessible area, when he drops us at our destination, we're going to hike through the plains and up a mountain path, to a ruined city. There's supposed to be huge caches of credits and valuable trinkets. I heard some chit goes down over there though." Seth said with a grin.

"Supposed to be a group of slavers starting a slaving ring. I dunno, details weren't really that clear." Seth rubbed his neck, he may have been trying to pick the bugs out of his hair while his contact was talking.

Gray walked over to the edge of the raft, and sat down while looking out over the ocean. Seth began talking, but Gray only half-listened, getting only the important words. He was much more focused on the view. It was... peacefull. A peace it was a long time since he had felt. But he knew it wouldn't last long, only until they reached the destination. Maybe not even that long.

And that seemed to br true. The mention of slavers pulled Gray back into reality. He hated slavers, and had done that for a long time. And now they might stumble upon some on their quest for the treasure. Perfect. Gray turned around to look at Seth. "How reliable is the information about the slavers?" he asked, anticipation and a bit anger in his voice. He hoped they would meet slavers there, so they could be put Down.

But he quickly calmed Down, and went to sit by Alema and the wolf. The animal looked friendly enough, so he tried petting it. It's fur was soft, not what one would expect of a wolf. "So, what brings you to this hunt, Alema?" trying to be friendly and striking up a conversation on the raft-trip. It could make the time go faster, and getting to know each other before going into Battle together was never a bad thing.

Sitting down, Alema couldn't help but to chuckle a bit as the beast of a dog slumped straight on to her feet. It was heavy as hell for sure, but it seemed kind... luckily. The Rutian looked at the furry creature but didn't just have the courage to actually pet it, that is before she heard Seth's words. A wolf? An actual sourwolf? The Tukian had heard tales of them... tales of the huge, dog-like creatures that were loyal to their owners and protected them at all costs if it came to that. Yeah... Alema didn't have a hard time believing the mythic beast lying on her feet and whimpering in a quiet way was actually a real sourwolf. A beaming smile made its way to the Twi'lek's face as she examined the creature again, slowly leaning forward and letting her hand go down and gently fondle it's fur as it looked at her with its bright... star-like eyes.

Merely sitting there... letting her hand run along the wolf's back, Alema missed most of the things her enthusiastic leader, [member="Seth Huze"] said.

"...Slavers..."

The ominous word bounced around in the Twi'lek's head before going down her spine as a shiver. She stopped petting the adorable creature, instantly checking that her blaster was on her belt with her free hand. She wasn't the perfect shot, but she'd be taking every chance she got to shoot the slavers if it came to that... and most likely even if it never would.

The Twi'lek's thoughts were interrupted by [member="Gray Venasir"] sitting straight next to her and petting the beast lying on her feet as well. Alema leaned back, letting the man play with the dog's fur as she herself enjoyed the sight of the endless ocean in every direction. After all, she never had seen anything like it and it was honestly quite... beautiful in a way.

Once again, however, Alema's thoughts were disturbed by the man next to her asking 'what brought her to the hunt'.

"I'm not too sure actually..."

The Tukian thought for a moment, eyeing the smuggler's hand as it ran along the wolf's grey and soft fur before looking up at him.

"My best guess is probably the thirst for adventure or something like that"
