Well of course. I'm not going to dictate how someone role-plays their character. I am sure there are ways to avoid dark side corruption without using the mask ability as well that we aren't aware of, either.

You don't want the Dark Side to change how you look? Enslave it, make it your weapon just like a lightsaber or sword. The Jedi are the ones who want to live in harmony and then there are sith like [member="Darth Sinna"] who see the force as something greater then they are and that it should fill them (correct me if I am wrong, your views are complex) Darth Ares looks at the force as nothing more than a means to an end. The force he enslaves, but he he follows what the dark side wants which is war. Thus his apprentice is not changed unless he wants it to. He normally looks like the picture exactly and his eyes are brown, but he can change his eyes to sith eyes at will (well it is usually when battle is about to start and he becomes excited) I do this because of how he is made. A lot of sith want to look scary to inteminate someone, but Ares wants to look like he is an easy target, like he is weak so when someone sees him they think he is easy pickings and then he kills them. Much like a flytrap that looks like a flower to trick flies and then SNAP dead.

As far as I am aware the star wars canon is not crystal clear about the effects of the dark side so I am basing it off SWTOR where there is a button to turn it on and off and thus that is what Ares does.

I take the term "Seductive, the dark side is.." to the extreme. My character embodies that passionate obsession (or is it obsessed passion?) and vocalizes the link with it. I don't suppose it helps when she's half-crazy.

Ether could fit. Quite frankly, Darth Ares wants is to use the dark side to girdle the Galaxy, chocking it, corroding it. What I want is to sail the cosmos with the Dark Side as my vessel just as my mother did and destroy all you hold dear. The Galaxy is weak and it needs to be rid of this weakness by fire.

^^^ Like my Signature says " The Darkside will not be enslaved." And its true you can attempt to bend and master the darkside, but the Darkside is apart of the Force and has a will of its own. It naturally re-balances back into place or straightens itself out if you will. Now image in this case the Darksides will can be interpreted in different ways due to writers controlling characters but the Force cannot be enslaved at-least not permanently.

Personally I let the Darkside Dominate my character and i obey it, I am its slave and i dont stray far from it. But thats me xD

It's a malignant force that twists and corrupts the mind, body, and soul of those who are ensnared by it's seductive promises.

It may appear to be beautiful at first, but the underlying nature of the Dark Side is ugly, and the more and more you draw upon it's power the more and more you'll begin to reflect the vile and rotten within.

No one can escape that inevitability.

[member="Darth Vornskr"] and [member="Darth Hauntruss"] were the ones who taught me, I'll forever be beautiful because I cheat and use biofiber and synthflesh to hide it then alchemy to reinforce it but Balaya looks like a zombie underneath. That is why she replaces so many of her body parts and self with biots or cybernetics to hide.

Also [member="Darth Sinna"] is one of my favorite for darkside mentality. Balaya's is simple she finds a cause and dedicates to it. In this case she has since the ironborne thread when Kaine took in a lost mandalorian been loyal to his cause. The One Sith are just part of it.
