Hoist the Colors and set Sail! (Expeditionary Fleet/Open)

Tyranus

Tyranus looked out a corridor window and saw the planet. He set the crowbar down on the ground and then he equipped his shotgun onto his back and rushed down to the hanger. Tyranus yelled at some mercenaries to get the equipment ready and to get ready to get on the planet. Tyranus waled over to the captured pirate frigate in their hanger and got into the Co-Pilot's seat getting ready for takeoff while the other crew members boarded the frigate. Tyranus sat their calmly waiting for when the ship would take off and for when they could step foot on the planet's surface.

"And thus the adventure begins," Venris smirked, arms crossed as he leaned back in his chair. "Well Vassara, I would say that we'd follow you to hell and back but there's a fifty-fifty chance that we're about to do so anyways." He got to his feet and checked the explosives strapped to his person beneath his coat.

This was not Venris' idea of a good first mission...or a good way to start a first mission, but he'd learned that it wasn't always bad to go about things in an...unorthodox manner. As long as it didn't get somebody killed then he wouldn't raise any objections....especially if it didn't get him killed in particular.

"So true!" Vassara roared with laughter breaking. She centered herself now, trying sneakily to calm her nerves using a meditation technique she had only recently learned. She recalled her favorite memory on the beaches of Alderaan and let it permeate her mind. She could feel the gates of the force open to her.

It filled her like a trickle of booze into an empty tankard. And suddenly she became much more aware.....

As her sense expanded slightly she could feel an overwhelming matrix of force signatures, each unique and colorful. There were more force users among the fleet than cared to identify themselves.

"Interesting." Vassara muttered, loud enough for Venris to hear purposely.

The Frigate lifts from the supports of the hanger and it makes it way towards the planet before stopping. Tyranus clicks a couple of console buttons be fore communing Vassara.

Uhh.....hey Vassara....Are their any defenses on the planet.....I'm already sending a frigate down

Tyranus awaited a response from Vassara, hoping that their were no defenses on the planet. He also wondered if Vassara knew he was force sensitive and if she knew he used the force. Tyranus began to think that she didn't but he wasn't sure. He crossed his arms and waited a response not making a single sound to make sure he didn't miss anything.

As Tyranus spoke in her ear Vassara got a faint glimpse of a tinlge. She could feel his force aura but very slightly. It was not enough to know for sure if he was a force user. So far she had kept her talents a bit of a a secret and was sure the others were doing just the same. Still the game of cat and mouse was very exciting.

Purposely she tried to project herself onto him, brushing his sphere of sense just ever so slightly. She chuckled and keyed her own earpiece back, speaking with clipped tones.

"I have no idea, just set er down in whatever looks like a nice parking spot, we're right behind you Ol' chap!"

Ok, got it

Tyranus kept a few of the levers the same while he turned the others, he also kept the comma on encase their was any urgent new, he wouldn't make the same mistake as he did on Kathala Station. The frigate went down to the planet's surface and it landed on a large clearing on a beach. The landing gears extended outward and connected to the ground producing a clicking noise as they touched ground. A ramp extended from the door of the frigate as the crew walked out, Tyranus kept his helmet off and equipped a earpiece to stay in contact with the others. His men brought out a couple of speeders and even some camping supplies in case they got stuck in the wild for a long time.

"Yes, interesting," Venris nodded, feeling a familiar sensation radiate out from Vassara.

Venris may be long disconnected from the Order, but he knew the calling of one who spoke, saw and heard through the Force. He had done the same thing throughout the fleet several times ever since it had first begun to assemble, feeling a surprising amount of people who could have been full fledged Jedi at their age. It made him wonder how many force sensitives existed outside of the traditional factions such as the Jedi and Sith...

It was obvious that Vassara knew about his force sensitivity, but she'd had the decency not to bring it up ever since they had met on Nal Hutta. He wondered if she expected him to approach her about it, have the usual revelation laced conversation...a sickening but very likely outcome for him.

"Don't go having all the fun without us, old man." Venris tapped his own communicator after hearing Tyranus through the comm channel and Vassara's response to the old general. "Try to leave something alive down there for us to either beat the bantha fodder out of ourselves or to talk with."

He looked over at Vassara and lowered his voice so others might not overhear. "You may not want to reach out so far and openly, by the way. I only know about your little sight seeing a minute ago because I'm standing right next to you and was listening for something like that in case we had Sith down there, but you never know who else might be keeping one ear up out there."

That is insulting! I'm only 30 and I look 20 and feel 20.....Plus I brought some speeders and other supplies.......Also I don't sense anything from the darkside....at least for now......

Tyranus sensed that Venris was force sensitive even though he already knew that, it still surprised him. Tyranus already knew Venris knew he was force sensitive. Tyranus sat down on the sand and waited for the others to arrive while his astromech, Jerry or J-22 flew out of the ship with his thrusters.

"Ha ha ha ! Fret you not wee one. I'm not a master or anything, I've only just begun. Let's see how long we an keep it a secret from Tyranus, just for kicks!"

Vassara turned to Silas.

"Take us over the landing site, into the town. We'll set up an advance camp and have Tyranus set up the fall back-bugout site."

"Okay, as you wish then!"

Silas expertly wiffed the ship over tropical forests of the planet. As she skimmed the tops of the trees Vassara yelped with joy. The Island they were on was so beautiful, so serene. Blue waters, sand, palm trees. And then she saw it. The main settlement of the island. Before them stretched rows and rows of Star Destroyers, Corvettes and frigates. They were lined up and parked side by side. Half of them were rusting, some with cracked armors, some with warpaint down there sides.

Skull and crossbones flags flew from atop a nearby stone fortress.

"What the hell, that forts made of rocks?"

Vassara galnced over to the fort and then down on the town. The place was filled with buildings constructed of wood and rope. Odd looking shacks, destroyed ships parked in rows. But that was not the oddest thing. there appeared to be docks of wood, running down the length of the bay, and it looked like the vessels were literally parked on the water, floating.

"Well set er down Silas!"

"Ok, OK!"

Vassara winked at Venris and the rest of her crew before keying the comms to Tyranus.

"Hey killer, we're going to land in the settlement and scout for a drinking establishment!. Hopefully we can find some useful information about this place. You down to come along?"

Gosh...I hate you sometimes........but yeah

Tyranus put his helmet on and commanded his men to use their speeders and go to to the settlement. Tyranus got on a custom painted speeder he painted himself, it was white with The word Hydra painted on it in black. He got on the speeder and sped towards the settlement. He pulled his hood over her head trying to appear to be a pirate to the pirates in the settlement.

Venris let out a whistle and admired the view before them. "Well now, this is a good deal nicer than I'd expected. About a hundred percent less barren wastes and giant sea monsters than I'd predicted too." He winked at Vassara. "And I'll take you up on that offer, but don't call me wee one," He patted her head as he strode past her. "Lil' Lady."

While the scenery may look welcoming, Venris was not about to take any chances. He would leave his sword behind and stick to just using knives and explosives if anything happened, and in a place with such a mess of different peoples and factions from the looks of the ships and different building designs that might be very likely to happen...also because he'd never heard of this place before, and that usually meant that this planet was not bound by any law he was familiar with. Whatever or whoever they met down there, Venris would either gladly share a drink with or just as easily stab in the gullet and leave to bleed out if they caused him or any of his colleagues any trouble.

The fort interested him for the view it could provide, and for how...antiquated its design was. A forst made of simply stone? Without any visible turbolaser defences? This place was like stepping into ancient history of some long forgotten society...well, minus the floating ships and towering star destroyers parked around it, of course.

The scene in the cockpit of The Eternal Saviour would have been distressing for those that cared for the zabrak hunched over in the captains ship. Zavzen was curled up in a ball sobbing, clutching at his head, as he shouted at the demons that surrounded him, even though they were products of his own mind. Next two him were two holographic figures. The first was a beautiful, young woman with shoulder length brown hair standing to his left. She was also wearing a simple robe that has a purple hue to it. On his other side was a bald and aged human man who had a long brown beard. His clothing was a robe thrown over a tunic. The first was HAELI, an AI that Zavzen had created soon after his freedom from the life of being a slave. The latter was Ketu, an old Je'daii Master who was long dead but who's holocron had been found by Zavzen. Both had worried looks on their faces as they stared down at the sobbing being.

Five minuets later the crying stopped as Zavzen slowly unfurled himself. Panting he looked up at the Ketu. "Master, are you sure in your diagnosis?" The holocron sighed before replying, "Yes child I am. You should find more information on Force Psychosis on the planet we are approaching." He gestured to the view out side the windows of a planet that was slowly growing at the corvette lowered down through the atmosphere.

Nodding, Zavzen forced himself to his feet and staggered out of the room. The two holocrons flickered out of view after sharing a look, Ketu deactivating and HAELI disappearing into the ship's systems to follow her creator. She found him in his room, pulling on his robe and tying his weapons to him. His two lightsabers were fixed to the inside of his robe while the sheaths containing his swords were tied to his sash, the holster holding his blaster was strapped to his thigh over the top of his Shell Spider Silk trousers, a knife was hidden into the inside of his open tunic, made out of the same things as his trousers.

Turning, he strode out of the room as a shudder ran through the ship as it landed. "HAELI, commence a lock down of the ship and transport your self to my holocommunicator." He ordered over his shoulder. Exiting the ship, he looked around the primitive looking port and strode to the nearest tavern. No matter where in the universe you were, those places were the best place to find information.

The Speeders came to a halt near the settlement, Tyranus hid his speeder any his soldiers speeders in some bushes and fake camouflage. He strode into town with his mercenaries, awaiting his fellow faction members. Some pirates walked past him, some giving him cold stares while others juts ignored him. Tyranus saw fights in the street and drunks stumbling around the streets like maniacs. He looked questionably at all of them before muttering something under his breath.

Will......I officially think this place.....is crazy

Location: Main settlement!

The ramp hissed open and Vassara exited the hold, looking around. The first thing that struck her was the heat. It was about as hot as tatooine, and the sweat seemed to come quick. The humidity was like being rained on. The smell of salty sea water thrust its way into her nostrils and cool breeze crossed her brow.

"Wow this place is hot!"

The group made their way down the wooden docks into the dirty streets. The place was abuzz with activity, and at the end of the dock a black armored pirate approached them, grinning from ear to ear.

"Welcome to Bone City miss, you'll be paying for that dock spot then?"

Vassara raised an eyebrow. Her first reaction was to draw her knife and slit the arrogant man's throat. But when she thought of the Jedi code, that notion slowly disappeared. What was that she had read about mind tricks? They worked on the feeble. Using the force to influence the man's mind seemed like a duanting task but it was worth a try.

Vassara took a breath and charged the force into her mind, projecting her thoughts as best she could onto the Dock master.

"We don't need to pay, you'll show us where the nearest Tavern is?"

She waved her hand, desperately hoping it worked. For a minute the dock master stood there and then scratched his head. then he spoke.

"Of course it''s your first time here, we'll wave the fee. Come with me I'll show you where the boys wet their whistles!"

Ark Tallen

Quartermaster of the Expeditionary fleet.
Ark just about jumped out of his bed on the Emerald Kingfisher when he realized what time it was. Quickly puttin gon his clothes he scrambled around the ship to find his droid, "Rusty" he called him.

"Rusty!? Rusty where you at boy!?" Ark screamed around the ship. His voice echoed around for about fifteen seconds until a low pitched beeping was heard.

"Questionary statement: what is your current task, master?" The droid spoke through its language. It was a probe droid, extremely old as far as Ark could tell, but he had his uses.

"Prep engines for jump to these coords" Ark quickly spoke, transferring the coordinates to the droid, as it quickly began preparing the prototype hydroplasma engines for a quick jump.

It was only minutes, and Ark was finally at the pilots seat. The engines roared to life, rattling the ship, as Ark went lightspeed to regroup with his new friends. Quite the first impression. After a good amount of time, Ark finally made it, gazing outside the HUD of his ship to grasp the beauty of Vassaras find. "Damn" He uttered. "Rusty, prep for landing at Vassaras coords". The droid beeped out a quick pre written answer and got to work, as the ship came closer to the planet in question.

"Better late than early I guess!" Ark spoke through the coms, sending a message to the group.

Location: Red Beard's Tavern!

As soon as they arrived Vassara pressed both swinging doors open with her palms. The smell of rancid pirates and spilled booze assaulted her. The air was thick with the smoke of spice and drugged out sailors were all about the place. In the center behind a roughshod wooden bar hung the Skull and Crossbones banner. The same that hung above the fort itself.

"Well well, what have we here!"

A nearby mercneary approached her and the group as she walked towards the bar. Not even halfway into the room he moved in close trying to snatch her arm in his grasp. His helmet was odd, much like Tyranus helmet. Still the spacer did not take any lip or condone anyone touching her in any manner she did not wish.

"Hands off pirate!" She growled.

"I think she might make a nice addition to the brothel eh boys!" The pirate roared. Vassara was torn now. The Jedi code dictated that she solve the conflict with word rather than violence. Vassras code said shoot the man. Did the warning count as words? In her estimation it did and without pausing she drew her Void Ripper revolver from her leather holster and pressed it to the pirates chest.

And squeezed the trigger.

BOOM!

The bar went silent for a moment as the sixty caliber slug ripped right through him, exploding from his body. Flesh chunks and crimson ichor sprayed violently in a raging torrent from the hole in his back and the sound of gurgling escaped from within his helmet. Vassra pushed him backwards, sending him sailing into a nearby table with a snarl and force enhanced kick.

The table smashed in half under the force of his dead body and blades were drawn about the room.

"Anyone else wanna win the lottery!"

Guess she wasn't the greatest Jedi then. She had tried with words, but skipped the second part, right to the good part.

Tyranus stared in shock at what Vas just did. Quickly, his face turned from surprise to anger. He couldn't help but be bad, she could have juts used words but didn't. Tyranus just exploded with rage at Vas. He turned to Vas with Anger in his golden eyes.

Meg Heck cuyir katkrabagr ti gar Vassara? W- tion'jor narir.......... gar te'mretidiye narir ibac! ( What the Heck is wrong with you Vassara? W-why did..........you freaking do that! )

Tyranus darted his eyes towards Vassara.

Zavzen looked up as he heard a familiar voice deal with a pirate. He smirked as he recognised the clothing of Vassara Raxis, a captain he had met in a tavern a short while back. He stood slowly, mindful of his headache and pulled on the cloak he taken off. He slowly walked over to the group that had now entered the door, recognising nearly all of them from the tavern, exiting from the private area of the tavern to the main area.

"Well Captain. I didn't think we would meet again so soon." He said as a greeting towards Vassara, nodding at those he recognised. "Well, why don't you all come sit at my table and tell me why your here? It's quieter than here." He gestured to the crowd gathering around a drunken fight that had just broken out.

Vassara snorted when she heard Tyranus pipe up. Her fury rose inside of her and her hand quickly moved to put the revolver back, before she blasted him too. What was he thinking, throwing a fit in here?

She had to ignore Zavzen for just a moment.

"In case you didn't notice your buddy there wanted to sell me as a call girl. Now what's the big deal anyways, their all stinking filthy rodents! They steal, they cheat, they take slaves and they kill!"

Vassara could feel her face flushing red with rage, and her hands were shaking. She wanted to lash out and the code was all but forgotten for a moment.

"Do you want to act like a Warden or like a child?"

Oh will I'm sorry for caring about my own Kin which I only met two on the station and the third here. You want to know why I yet that pirate group escape on Kathlan Station, because I met the first Mandalorion I had ever seen in my life......oh and how is acting like a child similar to someone's death huh?

Tyranus kept a straight face but his eyes went back to their original shape and his tone was less angry but still pissed off.
