Fondor - Capital of the Galactic Alliance

Following the conclusion of the Mandalorian-Alliance War, there emerged a glimmer of optimism that the Galactic Alliance would enter a period of tranquility and prosperity in the years ahead. However, this hopeful sentiment was swiftly shattered as the Imperial Government of Carlac ascended to power, giving birth to the New Empire or Dark Empire as documented in official records.

With the threat of the continued expansion of the Imperial Armada looming large and the ever-present possibility of a two-front conflict with the Sith Order, it was imperative to devise a comprehensive plan of action.

While typically such military strategies were crafted by the Alliance High Command, the input of each representative was essential in contributing to the overall goal. Each individual would have a unique perspective and set of skills that could prove invaluable in formulating a cohesive and effective strategy to combat the impending threats.

Working together was not one of the strong suits of the Alliance Government, but even the Trade Federation had to admit that united they could successfully navigate the challenges ahead and emerge victorious in the ongoing battle for the core.

Individuals invested in the future of the Alliance convened in a chamber of the Fondor Senatorial Complex, where the Minister of the Trade Federation was the initial attendee. Lodd, who had recently declared his intention to campaign for Chancellor of the Alliance, sought to garner backing for his candidacy but that would have to wait until a strategy was formulated.

"Members of the Senate and Representatives of the Defense Forces, it is evident that the Galactic Alliance is currently facing a significant threat posed by the emergence of this New Empire, which has garnered substantial backing from the remnants of the New Imperial Order and the Mawite Brotherhood. They have pushed us back from Tython and Empress Teta, allowing them to control a portion of the Core Region. Such vulnerability could potentially be exploited by the Sith Order to target undefended sectors on the outer edges of our territory."

Lodd said - as an opening statement.

"Although I do not completely oppose your views, Minister Grimmin, I believe that the New Empire is essentially a consequence of the decline of the New Imperial Order. In due course, it is likely to disintegrate just like its predecessor. It would be more prudent for us to redirect our focus from the Core Region towards exploiting the profitable planets that have been left unguarded due to the collapse of the Rimward Trade League."

Senator Dod harbored doubts regarding the New Empire's potential to pose a genuine threat to the Galactic Alliance, primarily due to the significant number of member-worlds that still remained loyal to the faction. Although the loss of Tython and Empress Teta was undeniably a tragic event, it could be argued that it was not entirely unexpected, considering the Mawite Brotherhood's previous interest in these planets during the Second Great Hyperspace War.

The Galactic Alliance ought to redirect their attention towards reclaiming the planets situated in close proximity to the Sith Order's borders, which have been left unguarded due to the disintegration of the Rimward Trade League. In the absence of this league serving as a protective barrier, it is highly probable that the Sith will mobilize their entire military force to swiftly invade the borders of the Galactic Alliance.

"Hauuum", the senator of Giju and the Herglic Trade Alliance of the 40 systems, cleared his blowhole to get the attention of the gathering. "Members of the Senate and Representatives of the Defense Forces, with all due respect to the opinion of the esteemed minister Grimmin, it lacks foresight and experience in military matters as anyone who was in the service could agree upon.

He underestimates the potential of the Pisan Paak Imps and Sith for inner strife. They are always ready to strike and to size territory"
, he made a pause, "BUT they are predestined to fall into each other's backs. Especially in the case of religious important sites like Tython and Empress Teta.

They are as vulnerable to a war of multiple fronts as anybody else, more so when they are in territories hold by others for a long time.
I agree to senator Dod's opinion to seize the Rim. The Pisan Paak WILL react. THERE, not in the core. We could divert their forces to many campaigns separated from each other.

Hauum, and I further suggest to finance and support with weapons, ships and equipment ANYONE who fights the righteous war or a rebellion on their conquered territory. Even the Mandalorians if it must be so!"

Bianco Cruhn slammed his mighty flukelike fist on the table.

Let them bleed dry! Let them fear our limitless resources! They like fear, don't they? Let them fear us for a change!"

Meetings like this were what Lupa hated most of being a general. Orders were easy for her. Strategy was easy for her. Convincing politicians?

That was a headache.

"The Imperials have gone on the offensive." Lupa started, not bothering with the formalities of addressing the senate as a whole. "They will not stop going on the offensive if we allow them to. We could focus on the core worlds, allowing the Imperials to continue ravaging world after world, or we could hit them back. The Mandalorian strike on Carlac proves that with our bountiful resources, we have the capability to hit them where it matters. The GADF of the Second Great Hyperspace War never went away, and we're more than happy to take the fight to the enemy. My suggestion would be to strike the Ord Mantell system. It would cut them off from our borders, and leave them vulnerable. They just took a massive hit in resources on Coruscant, their fleet should be in a weakened state."

It was simple to her in that sense. Tactical. The DE had lost a flagship due to the jedi and GA fleets, and had half a battalion wiped out due to a coordinated attack on the eastern front. It showed that the GADF still had fight in them. That the soldiers of the Alliance had not fallen to complacency.

Magant raised an eyebrow at the meeting. She had never expected to actually agree with a Nemodian when it came to Galactic affairs but it appeared to be the case. She linked her hands together, listening to the other points being raised, though as the points were raised, a frown slowly began to form more and more. Of course, she had her own rebuttal to the statement of Grimmin not having experience in military matters. In her mind, someone who suggested the concept of leaving the enemy in your own territory to do something screamed a lack of experience. Leaving a wound like that to fester in the heart of the core would only cause more infection in her eyes.

Not to also consider the idea of leaving their people behind in Empire controlled space, because what? People wanted to measure how large their brass was? It was nonsense in her eyes. They had someform of alliance with the Mandalorians already, who could deal with the Dark Empire whilst the Alliance tried to recover it's heart. Of course, this wasn't all out of the kindness of her own heart. Fresia was relatively close to the frontlines, and she wanted to establish as much protection as she could for her home.

"Our people need us at the end of the day. The mere thought of abandoning those still alive on Empress Tetia and Tython is abhorrent to me. Leaving such as a vile group as the Dark Empire to fester and infect the heart of the Galactic Alliance whilst subjecting the untrained and unwilling citizens to vile acts is not something I shall ever stand for. If that is something that other Senators and...the Defense Force will allow however, so be it. The blood of those who expected the Alliance to come to their aid will be on their hands, all so that we may appear "tougher" to our enemies. I am sure that will help their families sleep at night."
This was not the Defense Force she had worked for. Perhaps her father was right when he suggested the role of Senator would be better for her. At least she could stand by her beliefs now. Magant just shook her head in disappointment, sipping from her glass of water. Talking was particularly thirsty work at the end of the day.

Arcadius idly observed from his seat, much having transpired since his last attendance at one of these meetings. Occasionally, he glanced at a datapad filled with astro charts, absorbing every word spoken. Many points were intriguing, but one in particular caught his attention—a suggestion by Bianco Cruhn Bianco Cruhn : "Given such a propensity for literally stabbing one another in the back, has any thought been given to a false flag maneuver? We could attack a less significant point of interest under the guise of the other faction."

A flicker of amusement crossed Arcadius's face before he quickly concealed it. "If such a tactic were employed," he remarked, "it could theoretically allow for the rescue of civilians or the seizure of a strategic choke point."

With that, Arcadius turned his attention back to the datapad.

"There's nothing saying we can't do all of these." The General pointed out. "The GA is unlike other governments on the galactic stage at the moment. We have the resources to do all of this, without much worry for our own coffers," She paused, looking to the Trade Federation representatives. Worms, the lot of them. "...provided we have the support for them. Several companies have shown interest in reaching out to repair ravaged worlds, but we must not let one task distract us from the others. The SIA could coordinate a false flag while the GADF strikes into enemy territory. With Coruscant ravaged, the fleets are all on standby for their next engagement. What we need is a plan. I've proposed one, and while I can understand the sentiment for wanting to take back Teta, right now we're in a position where we could be struck on three fronts. The Imperials are on the doorstep of both the Vicondor, and Ploo sectors. And while Ploo is relatively contained due to the unique circumstances of the Protectors also on their border, the Vicondorians and Arkanians are not so fortunate. And that's not even taking the Sith's movements into account. We need to do something to keep the Imperials at bay before we can think about retaking the core worlds. We do our best to blockade the core worlds for the time being, keep the Imperials from opening another front by striking Ord Mandell, and perhaps do a false flag operation on Nyriaan to provoke a Sith or Mando response."

Fondor - Capital of the Galactic Alliance

The Trade Federation Minister was taken aback by the strong criticisms directed at the opening statement. It is possible that the other chamber members found the statement to be overly pessimistic or lacking a clear purpose, even though the Galactic Alliance was facing challenges due to the Dark Empire's swift expansion into lucrative territories.

However, the Alliance still had a window of opportunity to strategize and potentially gain more time by refortifying planets in the core region. Senator Dod of Neimoidia raised an excellent point that they could secure some of the planets left over from the Rimward Trade League, to create a sort of barrier to the Sith Order rather than focus on the core entirely.

Senator Bianco Cruhn Bianco Cruhn of the Trade Alliance was much more focused on striking back, same with General of the Defense Forces Lupa Visz Lupa Visz who made several interesting remarks.

Senator Magant Kiles Magant Kiles and Senator Arcadius Balthazar Arcadius Balthazar both made sufficent points of their own that the assembly would have to consider. Such a diverse range of opinions was acceptable to the Represenative of the Federation, since it did leave them with plenty of options to move forward with.

"The imposition of a blockade on the Dark Empires' territories in the heart of the region will result in significant hardship for the inhabitants who remain ensnared under the Emperor's control. This action is likely to be exploited as a tool for propaganda by the Imperial Government, potentially alienating even those citizens who are most loyal to our cause."

Lodd said - wanting to make a point that the Galactic Alliance could not afford to blockade the Dark Empire without risking more citizens turning their backs on them.

"I concur with General Visz's proposal to launch an attack on Ord Mantell, considering its evolution into a utopian planet. Seizing it from the New Empire would undoubtedly deal a significant blow to their morale, and cut their territory in half."

Rens Ahim had just arrived at the meeting wearing his Mon Calamari style uniform but with Bestine colors. He had been on Coruscant until a few rotations before the battle commenced, helping to pilot a freighter carrying refugees while under an alias. The experience had been harrowing to say the least. Seeing how the war affected so many people just trying to live their lives never stopped attacking his soul.

He stayed quiet during the opening of the session with a neutral expression. Underneath that calm was a swirling pool of emotions. Once sure of himself Rens at last spoke.

"The people of Deep Core are already suffering hardships and outright horrors regardless of whether we blockade or not. Our enemies style themselves as the Dark Empire for a purpose. Let's not forget that. We can't afford to leave the borders minimally guarded or else further worlds in those sectors will become even more vulnerable to attack. If our Alliance allows the Empire‘s forces there to freely supply we would be giving them an alternative piece of propaganda to claim they bring prosperity with their tyranny while we tying one hand behind our backs at the same time."

Pausing he considered the harsh measure what he was supporting. Rens hated the idea of their fellow citizens trapped with those imperialists, cultists and marauders. Yet he couldn't see an effective solution regarding the Deep Core without an effective blockade. To get his mind off the guilt Rens focuses on the rest of the points brought up.

"I support the proposal for an Ord Mantell operation. We should hit back at our enemies whenever we can and where it can hurt the most. Once we weaken them enough we stand a better chance of liberating our people in the Deep Core."

Tensing up he looked around the group before saying.

"However, I have my concerns about committing to a false flag mission. How can we be sure it won't be leaked out or any plans we make here? The fact a giant enemy warship was hidden underneath the senate at Coruscant this whole time until the battle occurred suggests not only sheer incompetence on our part and the intelligence service but also treason by some whoever they be."

He let that last word hang in the air with a scowl. The senator of Bestine was utterly disgusted that such a thing occurred under their collective watch. As far as Rens was concerned this senate equally shared the guilt of that with the SIA. They must cleanse whatever rot is within their ranks that made it possible.

The hologram of Alicio Organa sat tall in the seat for Alderaan, listening quietly to the proceedings. He'd participated in his fair share of Alliance battles and operations- the medals that decorated his office were proof of that- but he wasn't so vain as to think himself a strategic mastermind in the art of war. He let others debate the fine points of their future assaults.

He was receiving tutelage, due to his new duties as King of Alderaan, but he'd gone to school for diplomacy, for crying out loud.

That being said... he was a politician. It would be unnatural for him not to have opinions.

//With perhaps the exception of the Representative from Giju,// the Alderaanian senator began, his hologram nodding towards the Herglic with a slight smile, //None of us who have spoken have your level of military experience, General Visz. Thank you for taking the time to be here, and entertaining our questions and suggestions.//

//My wife is from Tython. My boots were on the ground at Empress Teta, back in the Hyperspace War. I understand your concerns, Senator Kiles, trust me, I do... but I agree with Senator Ahim. We owe it to them to find the greatest chance of success in this conflict. Anything less, and we increase the odds that they stay under Imperial control, and their neighbors along with them.//

He left the particulars of the Alliance's response to the others. They concerned him less than his next question, which he directed at Lupa Visz.

//General... Do we know how our enemies in the Core are resupplying? How they got there, in the first place?// If there was a weakness they could exploit, Alicio imagined it would lie there.

"Thank you Senator Organa. It's comforting to see at least one name in the galaxy still holds to it's original ideals." Lupa was a student of history, and the Organa name held a lot of weight in that sense.
"I concur with General Visz's proposal to launch an attack on Ord Mantell, considering its evolution into a utopian planet. Seizing it from the New Empire would undoubtedly deal a significant blow to their morale, and cut their territory in half."
"I support the proposal for an Ord Mantell operation. We should hit back at our enemies whenever we can and where it can hurt the most. Once we weaken them enough we stand a better chance of liberating our people in the Deep Core."
"An attack on Ord Mantell would be a matter of organizing the fleet. Supreme Commander Amelia von Sorenn Amelia von Sorenn would have to coordinate that." She answered. "I will be sure to speak with her in the matter as soon as I can."
//General... Do we know how our enemies in the Core are resupplying? How they got there, in the first place?//
The general paused, frowning. "At current, the belief is a path engine allowed them to bypass the hyperlanes during the initial invasion. We're not entirely sure if their puppet state within the core is resupplying that way, or if they're running off the resources of the captured planets. If it's the latter, they're running on borrowed time. We've done our best to cut off any hyperlane activity into the state by Imperial Forces, but...It's a matter of lack of knowledge at this point. We need the SIA to find out more. That said-" She paused, looking to Rens Ahim Rens Ahim ,

"The senator of Bestine IV does raise a point. Morale within the SIA is low, after Coruscant we'll be doing several internal investigations within the organization, but I can't call them entirely incompetent. The Imperial War Plans for the invasion of Coruscant were acquired during the raid on Carlac by a set of agents that have since been rewarded with a short vacation. What the SIA needs right now is a victory, a true agency wide one. Same with everyone else really. We need something to call a success to raise morale. The SIA, the Jedi, especially the GADF."

"It is imperative for Senators and GADF Representatives to exercise prudence and refrain from stretching our capabilities beyond their limits. Hasty resolutions to our predicament will yield no advantages, particularly for the citizens who find themselves confined behind the Imperial Line. Should the need arise, it would be wise to permit only essential food shipments and relief supplies to pass through any proposed blockade, as I'm sure the Senator for Alderaan would advocate for, given their work with SELCORE."

Senator Monaray Dod - carefully considered the main arguments presented by each senator present in the room. Each individual contributed valuable ideas and feedback during the meeting, marking a promising beginning despite their history of never reaching a consensus in a regular senate meeting.

He was naturally concerned that rushing into a military offensive against the Dark Empire without considering diverse systems that made up the Galactic Alliance would be imprudent. Implementing a sufficent blockade would potentially deprive these systems of essential defenses, leaving them vulnerable to all manner of potential threats, threats that the New Jedi Order would not be able to handle on their own at this junction.

"In the event that precise targeting of resource shipments proves challenging, an alternative strategy could involve disrupting the Empire's industrial capacity through the confiscation of assets owned by influential figures within its government. One such individual is Grand Admiral Sularen, who oversees the successful operations of SularenCo, a prominent corporation. The utilization of the SIA and the Defense Forces can be employed to effectively seize the adversary's assets and allocate them towards financing our own military endeavors."

The Neimoidian explained, leaning back on the chair.

Magant sipped at her water again, her eyes narrowing in thought. It appeared she was now on the outside of the popular opinion. Trusting the SIA to find out what's going on, whilst Alliance Citizens are potentially being starved to death and the Dark Empire is taking every advantage they could get. Prioritising attacking the enemy over caring for their own citizens. Focus on the war front furthest away whilst letting the one in the heart grow. Breathe. That was the important part. Focus. She was always told that she was too stubborn for her own good as she rubbed the bridge of her nose in thought. It was clear to her at least that the decision seemed to have already been made in the minds of most of her fellow Senators.

Why was it the damned Nemodians who kept coming up with the points that she agreed with? Though her eyebrows did perk up at the name mentioned. Sularen...Was that not the name that was brought up for potential war crimes? Part of her wondered what kind of materials could be within Sularen's assets. Whilst she still wasn't quite pleased at the topic at hand, the response from Monaray Dod Monaray Dod had at least allowed her to clear her mind somewhat.

"...I will state for the record, I am still opposed to abandoning those who need us. The longer they stew in the festering abomination that is the Dark Empire's hands, the more likely their resentment to the Alliance will grow. But if Senator Dod's proposition is agreed upon, then I suppose an attack on Ord Mantell is something that I can...acknowledge as a suitable plan..."

She grimaced at the statement. It felt she had stabbed an ice cold vibrodagger into her stomach. This was why expansion was not a suitable plan in her mind. The further the Alliance grew, the more territory they had to cover, and now they couldn't even protect those who needed them. The most they could do was send relief packages. As long as their own people were safe, she'd have had no opposition to attacking the Empire. Breathe. Focus. Magant glanced at her empty glass of water, and sighed to herself. She was going to need some wine after this...Make that a lot of wine.

The shimmering hologram of Natasi Fortan was impassive, betraying none of the emotion that simmered beneath the surface of her serene features. Natasi was attending remotely as well; she has escorted her injured daughter to convalesce on Aegis, allowing herself the luxury of enjoying their tentative reconciliation even as she performed her obligations using technology. Her dark eyes flickered between the Senators as they spoke, but she kept her powder dry -- as it were -- and let things play out. Natasi was curious, indeed, just how the Trade Federation and its pet Senators hoped to profit off the situation as it stood.

She lifted a hand to cup her chin as she observed General Lupa Visz Lupa Visz opining. Her colleagues chimed in with their views, and the Senator for Aegis pressed her lips together, the only concession to the effort it was taking not to speak her mind. A war waged by committee was doomed to failure, especially a committee whose interests were, one could say diplomatically, as diverse as this one. Imperial sympathizers, corporatist goons who would sell naked photos of their grandmother for five credits' worth of profit, and idealists who were not well-versed in the prosecution of a war did not the best war cabinet make, in Natasi's humble opinion.

Natasi signaled her intention to speak after the General concluded her round of questions and, once recognized, leaned slightly forward so that her measured voice could be picked up by the microphone. "General, I echo the comments of my right honorable friend the member for Alderaan," Natasi said. "Thank you for making the time, which I'm certain is at a premium for you now. I have one question at this time, General: do you speak here with the authority of the Supreme Commander? Does she share your belief in the GADF's ability to maintain a blockade as you describe?"

She was certain that more would need to be done for the people under Dark Imperial rule in the core; she had already started discussing the matter with Renata Westaway, who had some experience in smuggling things in and out of a controlled environment... and until they could be assured of the structural integrity and trustworthiness of the Galactic Alliance apparatus, it was possible that this was going to have to be off-books.

"Additionally, General, would you comment on the ability of the Defense Force's preparedness to defend our shipbuilding and other military-industrial facilities? My understanding from the briefings we've received is that our equipment losses at Coruscant and Anaxes could not be described as... insubstantial. What efforts are being taken to ensure we will be able to replenish Defense Force materiel efficiently?"

Rens Ahim nodded at General Visz, humbly accepting the correction about certain SIA operatives who didn't fail.

"I apologize to the operatives who have done their duty General and appreciate all they done for the galaxy."

He won't let it be said that he was a man who wouldn’t admit his mistakes. The former lawyer listened to others resuming their part of the discussion or joining it. Ironically the Trade Federation types whose ancient predecessors used to blockade in order to strongarm worlds were playing the opposite end. He seriously doubted that it was any concern for the trapped people except perhaps how they can make credits from them. Of course he can't really prove it without evidence but right now the war effort was more important.

"With all due respect Senator Dod sending aid to occupied worlds is complicated by fact is the Dark Empire occupying them. If they don't immediately destroy the aid ships sent they'll likely just steal the aid to supply themselves and the aid workers and pilots will become their captives. Assuming the latter are not murdered on the spot. Or said vessels could be used to smuggle weapons and war material under the guise of aid to strengthen their hold. They managed to sneak in and buried a vast warship inside Coruscant without us knowing, we can't afford to take any chances with them."

In reaction to Kiles’ statement sympathy came out of Rens’ eyes. Even though they disagreed he did understand where she is coming from.

"Senator Kiles the Imperials more than likely fortified those worlds they captured by now. If we attempt an early offensive there and it fails then that would create just as much resentment. Not to mention leave us distracted from potential enemy assaults from other fronts. We owe it to our captive citizens to do the best we can in growing stronger until our Alliance is ready to strike in that direction."

"I speak on the authority of the GADF. The Supreme Commander is able to speak for herself, and I am not her. Do I believe we can maintain a blockade? Absolutely. The GADF Navy only engaged the Imperial fleet with only a single sector fleet over Coruscant, and took down Sularen's fleet with ease. And that's not even counting the personal fleets of companies affiliated with the Alliance. I believe we're perfectly capable of overwhelming Imperial Fleets."

"I've met with the heads of Si Tech and Aether, we're more than capable of defending our production facilities. Si Tech has moved it's production off Coruscant and over to Fondor, and Aether is still located in several locations. So unless the Imperials have another ten fleets stored under Corellian soil, I believe in our ability to defend ourselves. We held off an Imperial force of three times our size with nothing more than two battalions on Courscant. The GADF is perfectly capable of doing so again."

"Hauum, regardless which course of action is taken, the Herglic Trade Alliance is ready to be the backbone of an aggressive supply line.
Our trade fleet is paramilitary in nature and consists of star galleons constructed and perfected over the centuries to repel pirates and imperial enemies.

For example, they would not be easily destroyed or seized in aid missions, as the esteemed Rens Ahim Rens Ahim fears for normal supply ships.
And they could deliver supplies to our space front lines in hot combat zones.

We already doubled our production of this ship type at our decentralized yards. Our shipyards would not be victim of sudden strikes by the enemy. The steady flow of new bulk freighters and star galleons is assured, but we could need shipments of fighter crafts to bolster our point defense.

The GADF just say the word, and we would be their pack animals, brave Lupa Visz Lupa Visz . Nasty, biting and kicking pack animals."

The bulky alien snorted again. It sounded derogatory.
"We Herglic are not friends of trying to beat the Imps at their own spy game. Their autocratic system makes them superior in this. We with our democracy and long command chains are vulnerable to whistleblowers along that chain.
I would bet as soon as a top secret plan is formed here in these halls, a copy of it is on the way to Imperial Intelligence.
It would be a PR disaster if false flag operations would be made public. Better openly support their opposition and rebels.

If we have to play spy games, we should concentrate on encouraging their traitors and gather Intel of their strategy.

These shenanigans they do with bypassing the hyperlanes for example. Let the SIA find out how they do it and then cut this secret supply line.
And we should do hybrid warfare. Let them have our sorrows too. Destabilize their propaganda, spread misinformation and encourage rebellions.

"By your leave, I speak for Obulette," came a voice which seemed elder and frailer than usual. The Lady Mecetti attended via holo, wearing a black veil which had been pushed back for this meeting.

"I must apologize for not attending in person. I have been reconstituting our fleet in the Mecetti province, and burying my late husband."

She took a deep breath, sighing softly as she let it out, as though the weight of recent events was a physical reality that pressed down upon her aged shoulders.

"One of the resources of the Galactic Alliance is its trustworthiness. As such, I would caution against any attack which frames another party as the culprit. If we were discovered in any act of deception, this intangible resource would be permanently damaged."

She paused, brushing her black veil back past her ear to better show her features.

"However, I do hold with those who counsel that we should make an attack. The enemy has reached out and had some of its fingers removed. There is no better time to advance upon them.

The best way to deal with a multi-front conflict is to decisively deal with one of the fronts.

Let it be the Dark Empire.

They are a tumor at our heart. We must cut it out. Other enemies can only press inward from the envelope of our territory. The Dark Empire is unique in eating us from within.

Let us press them, and finish them off. If we lick our wounds, if we prevaricate, delay, set up blockades and wait... it is only a gift to them. We already know they have the means to bypass surrounding territories. That's how they appeared here to begin with.

We must press on, even while wounded.

For they are wounded as well, dear colleagues, and we are yet stronger than they."

Natasi settled in her seat, her movements barely perceptible across the holographic representation of the Senator. She was not particularly satisfied with the answers provided by the General, but this was not the proper forum for addressing that. She thought this sort of strategic planning by committee was generally ill-conceived as it was, but going before the Senate with a potential plan of action-- from what Natasi could surmise from her response, without having consulted with her direct superior -- suggested that all was not well in the realm of the Galactic Alliance Defense Force's command structure.

It was handy, then, that Natasi sat on the Defense Committee and was in a position to have that concern settled expeditiously.

Natasi touched her microphone control and leaned forward again, squaring her shoulders, and favoring the General with a polite smile. "I thank you for your candor, General, and I'm sure we are all relieved to hear your appraisal for the GADF's ability to secure our materiel production centers." She cleared her throat quietly. "I hope you will keep this body and the Defense Committee appraised of any Defense Force needs. I am certain you will find a very receptive audience here to ensure that you get the supplies and resources you require. Again, I thank you for your time and presence here today. Speaker, I yield and reserve the remainder of my time."

She switched her controls to be audio-only and muted her microphone.

"Kenat," Natasi turned to her principal private secretary. "Would you please call over to the Chair of the Defense Committee for a copy of the next meeting's agenda? And it would be courteous to inform their office that I will be requesting to discuss some new business."

Fondor - Capital of the Galactic Alliance

During the discussion, Minister Lodd attentively listened to the senators and representatives of the GADF as they expressed their perspectives on the future actions of the Galactic Alliance. Having successfully defeated the Dark Empire on Coruscant, it was highly probable that the Imperial Armada was now weakened with the loss of a flagship and would be unprepared to effectively respond to any major counterattacks initiated by the Alliance.

Major financial shockwaves would prevent hasty decision-making at this critical moment, with the ongoing reconstruction of the former Capital and the deployment of an additional 500,000 troops from the outskirts of the Alliance territory to reinforce the front-lines. Senator Monaray Dod Monaray Dod 's suggestion of seizing enemy assets belonging to prominent officals of the Empire was certainly an avenue that the War-Committee could undertake.

Senator Magant Kiles Magant Kiles expressed greater concern over the abandonment of citizens left behind enemy lines, yet remained open to the possibility of an attack on Ord Mantell pending agreement from fellow senators. Senator Rens Ahim Rens Ahim had an equally valid point that sending aid ships through the Dark Empire's Holdings within the Core would leave them open to espionage and potential hostage situations.

Senator Natasi Fortan Natasi Fortan was concerned if General Lupa Visz Lupa Visz had the proper authority to represent the GADF at this meeting, and if the GADF could secure production centers from potential Imperial offensives. The answer given in response was detailed, yet the Senator was unhappy with the results and so stressed that all manners relating to the Armed Forces would be taken to the Defense Commitee.

"Adequate arguments have been presented by all senators present in this assembly, along with the esteemed input from General Visz. I am confident that we possess an ample amount of data to develop a course of action, therefore, I propose the introduction of Senate Resolution GH-133456 to the assembly for comment." Lodd said - bringing up the resolution on the holographic projection for them all to see.

Senate Resolution GH-133456 )

A1 )
- The Federal Assembly will grant approval for a major military operation aimed at invading Ord Mantell, which falls within the Dark Empire's Sphere of Influence. The directive entails the mobilization of the 10th Sector Fleet and all associated personnel to amass near the Soverign System of Corellia. The aim is to invade and seize control of the planet in order to diminish the adversary's morale, or at the very least, inflict significant harm on their infrastructure and eliminate their troops.

A2 ) - The Federal Assembly will approve the dispatching of the Herglic Trade Alliance's Trade Fleet, which is comprised of star galleons, to provide assistance and provisions to the Alliance Citizens who are currently stranded within the Dark Empire's Core Holdings. This initiative aims to support rebellion efforts and foster active resistance against the Imperial Occupations until recovery of these systems are possible.

A3) - The Federal Assembly will authorized the compulsory confiscation of assets and properties owned by members of the Dark Empire, including individuals in the Stormtrooper Corps and high-ranking officials in the Empire's Ruling Council. Additionally, it has mandated the dissolution of SularenCo, a company known for its sympathies towards the Empire and led by the Warlord of the Empire.

A4) - The Federal Assembly will grant permission for diplomatic missions to planets that were previously under the control of the Rimward Trade League, which has since collapsed, leading to the Sith Order rapid expansion within the Outer Rim, all to the detriment of the Galactic Alliance. If the provision of weaponry and advanced armaments to these planets is possible, it would create a fromidable barrier for the Sith Order to overcome, allowing us to focus our efforts on the Dark Empire.
