I Foresee the Force and the Seas...

Could be fun to go exploring with you Mesh’ika. I can always find time for you, you know that.” I said, smiling to the babe who was now disinterested, having said her fill and was now ready to go back to playing in the floor. “When you get home I will have the ship prepared and ready to go. We can leave the coordinates on the Retreat and have them follow if something turns up or we need a hand. Gar cuyir kar’taylir darasuum.

After I heard her response, I flipped the channel over and messaged the servant droids on the station. “Prep my ship to leave for an extended mission. I am not sure how long we will be.”

Standing up slowly, I stretched and made my way out of the playroom, a nanny droid taking my place as I stepped into the fresher and took a quick shower. Chiasa would be home soon and I wanted to be ready to go when she got here so she didn’t have to wait on me.

Once I was ready, I stepped back in to say goodbye to Meliha. “Goodbye Mel’ika. I will be home with mommy soon.” I said, crouching to hug the small toddler who grinned and hugged me around my neck, babbling words, “By da-da.

"Akay, 'kay va Ka cuyir norac o'r gar crahr, San jos oo dei voe, and you in mine. I will see you as soon as Hyperspace wills it Viyi'ee."

In fairness to Meliha, the fact that at least three languages were spoken around her on a regular basis probably was not making her bid for mastering communication any easier, but it would put her ahead in the long run.

"Ka'lleach, head for Gala and see about sending a message to [member="Coren Starchaser"] about our little find."

~And then we will go explore this planet?~

The Twi'lek nodded once at that, still amused by her companions enthusiasm. She often saw things as exciting or interesting, but she was also very aware of the dangers that usually went hand in hand with such things. Likely no one had ever tried to kill Manon. Hopefully that didn't change any time soon, but working alongside Chiasa.. she feared that it would.

"Laying in the course now, skirting Primeval space."

He also took the time to send their next stop to Vitor, in case the other did choose to stay on as an escort rather than further search the Triangle for treasures.

It wasn't too long, as these things went, before they were on Gala. Technically Elom would have been closer to Silver space, and the Frontier Corps, but with the Primeval having taken Korriban, it was just a little too close for comfort. She might be accepted as dead by the general public, but she wasn't going to push her luck too far. Once they reached Gala, Ka'lleach set them into a steady orbit, the Permondiri still safely in tow, waiting to see if the Frontier Corps had received the message, and if they would respond.

Starchaser was, for once, at his desk aboard the Event Horizon. He had a lot of work to do, and while he was doing most of it remotely, he did make the point to come out to the Unknown Regions to work on the hyperspace trail. He’d be right at his terminal for when the message came in. And a find like the one that would be reported? That would be something else. Probably have to have it delivered to Laekia, not out to Voss.

The Silvers got their grimy hands on things it’d be meditated on. Keep it in the Frontiers Corps and Astro Academy hands, that was where it’d get the most use.

Starchaser responded promptly enough, which was nice, seeing as otherwise she likely would have had to employ some locals to hold the ship until members of Clan Vereen could be reassigned to mind it. She still paid off some of Galas Mandalorian presence to deliver the ship. It was a matter of honour for them to complete it, and since they didn't seem to recognize the ship any more than she had, she was quite certain they'd not run off with it regardless.

And though she'd not hear about it for awhile, successfully deliver the ship they did. The infamous Permondiri Explorer, sans star charts, could now be considered owned by one [member="Coren Starchaser"] and the Frontier Corps.

Chiasa for her part, as soon as she ship was handed off, had Ka'lleach start them heading for home at speed. Her hurry was twofold. She wanted to indulge the curiosity of both Manon and herself, but she also wanted to see her Drahr. It didn't really matter how short a time she or he had been gone, the reuniting was still always sweet.

All the same, there was only so quickly one could move from one end of the galaxy to the other, and though it was much faster than many ships could manage, it was still slow to the Twi'lek, so she distracted herself by continuing sparring practice with the Sylphe. Eventually though, they reached Endor, and the Retreat, pinging out their IFF codes as they approached.

I was sitting in the temperate biome sphere that took much of the space in the Retreat, watching Meliha play in the grass and shallow water of a creek. It may not have been real solid ground but it was real grass, real trees, real water, everything was safe and known to the botanist that had helped design the thing, and here we could be safe, unseen, and watched over by her caretakers.

A soldier walked up to me, his intent clear through the Force. “Sir, miss Vereen is returning to the system. She should be docking any minute.” He said.

Thank you. Dismissed.” I responded, standing up and making my way over to where Meliha was playing. The sound of birds chirping was enthralling her and she was staring up at the trees giggling and laughing. “Come on now Meliha, lets go meet your mother when she gets back.” I said, reaching down to pick up the toddler. She turned her head at the sound of my voice and reached up when she saw my hands reaching to pick her up.

The little infant looked around at everything on the short trip down from the biome to the loading dock, reaching or pointing at anything that caught her eyes for more than a passing glance.
