What do you get when you cross a Princess with a Warrior? Claire was sure that across the galaxy this question had come up multiple times and today it would once again be asked, and the answer that she thought of, "I'm not sure, but I can't to see"

Claire cousin to the Queen and her daughters and today Faith, would marry Draco Vereen in a formal Alderaan ceremony. Now from what she understood the Mandalorian ceremony was a repeating of words and could be done at any time any where under any circumstances, but Alderaan who had it's ancestral lines, and noble houses, and the people of Alderaan required something more.

They looked for the pomp and circumstance and today at the Royal Pavilion well on the Island of Okonomo Faith and Draco would take the vows of husband and wife. Claire had gone on ahead to prepare Faith's dress, and see to the setting up of the venue.

The wedding was to take place in the evening under clear skies and so far the weather forecast was for clear skies.

Guests would arrive and be escorted to the first stop, appetizers, ale, something called tijaar and emerald wine. The wine created here on Alderaan bore the symbol of the Vinerium owned by the Royal Family. Everyone who attended the wedding would receive a bottle of this wine, along with Uj'alayi something Faith said was a mainstay for mandalorian get togethers. The Mandalorian dignitaries and visitors would find this cake also among the dishes served with the traditional wedding cake.

Wedding cake..."damn" she whispered it was a monster this thing could probably feed all of Alderaan. she went back to the kitchen where they had finished the cake only moments ago and now had it stored in one of the coolers. Claire had to see it finished.

She opened the door and there it was the royal wedding cake. "Wow.. just wow" there at the bottom waiting patiently another indication of the blending of two different cultures. The small figurines that Faith insisted be placed on the cake. She closed the door and stood there trying to take in how much really went into a royal wedding. Off to the side Claire saw two more cakes, "the grooms cake of course" there they each sat cake 1 and cake 2 how funny. She wondered what would Draco think of those.

The guests would be arriving and now Claire went to make sure all the finger goods were ready and set. She walked through the tables
the first looked ok, not really her idea of what to serve, now this second table this looked promising and the third she could handle as well. Guests would be full before they even got to dinner, which was for the invited guests.

The kitchen currently was working with a meat called shatual it would be carved and laid out and offered as one of the main dishes for dinner. As well as other dishes one created from the fish caught off the Appalis Coast, and another on vegetables raised at the Vinerium and Ranch. This blending of cultures and foods was to be symbolic of the marriage.

As the guests arrived they would see the illuminated walkway leading up to where these foods were laid out if they were to peak past the first tent and out along the walkway just a short distance away they would see where the ceremony would take place.

And then the main reception hall inside the pavilion itself the centerpieces flowers gathered from all parts of Alderaan. The tables were covered in white clothes and the bar was set up just outside where Claire herself had made sure every kind of bottle she could find was available to drink.

Music for the night would be subtle Claire couldn't think of anything else, except maybe to go check on the Bride and Groom to see if they were near ready.

Mandalorians will be tagged when Draco makes his post.

Draco sat waiting for friends to arrive. He didn't really have family outside Faith anymore, not since the First Order had bombed Eriadu a while ago. Instead he had his vode, all good men and women from Mandalore he could trust, he liked even. [member="Arrbi Betna"] was a close friend, his wife [member="Anija Betna"] too. They were both helpful when they were needed, and happy to sacrifice for their friends and family. They had helped him in the past. [member="Vilaz Munin"] was another he was waiting on. A hunting buddy, a drinking buddy, the redneck was hotheaded and filled with fire, but he was a good man at the end of the day.

Draco sat in the back lobby, and despite the event being black tie, he wore beskar'gam. It was immacutatly polished and cleaned, but it was still armor. It represented his culture, and it was customary to show his people as well as hers, that neither were sacrificing their past lives, only gaining something new. His people would see him, decked out in armor with his gorgodon pauldron and a half cape draped across one shoulder. He was wearing simple leather gloves instead of crushgaunts and was sipping on a scotch before the ceremony got good and started.

There were supposed to be a number of nobles invited, probably a few would show up, but Draco wasn't one for big royal weddings. He would have been happy with something smaller, however Faith had dreamed of a wedding like this for a very long time and he would not be the one to take that from her.

[member="Arianna Organa"] would be upset, but would probably hide it well. She might be one of the ones to object, but Draco intended on skipping that whole part of the ceremony. Someone had to have a pistol to point at the crowd just in case, but it was better not to even worry about such a circumstance.

[member="Faith Organa"]

Faith stood there looking at the mirror her first wedding had been very mandalorian said in the heat of passions and lasted most of her life. With Draco things were different her family status had changed before they were just nobles, now they were the Royal Family and that had to meet a higher requirement.

Yes she would admit that she wanted this, to dress in something she could hand to her daughter to wear, or to feel special for one day, today was that special day. Decrees would be signed once she was officially married to Draco if anything she was saddened that her sisters and brothers would not be there, nor would her Father. If that was the only sadness for today she would live with it.

She knew Claire was busy taking care of everything making sure it was ready so that there was nothing, left to chance.

She wondered what Draco was doing right now. Was he at ease, or ready to shoot something.

Well it would be ok she hoped he liked the grooms' cake, she had them special made for this day. Their day, not just her day.

Kay was surprised to get the invite to a wedding, most especially this one. But it had found it's way to Commenor, where she now resided. Of course her home wasn't her own. It was owned by the government, but at least it was easy enough to find. She mulled over whether or not she should go, given the turbulent past and the ongoing disputes. Well, maybe just for a little bit....

Getting into the Alderaan system wasn't so easy on The Free Lady. Sure it wasn't far away, but she had to skirt one enemy territory and buy passage just to get into the next one. The invite alone wasn't enough. There was good reason that she had stayed away from the north. Kay chose to go alone, having only her old pilot Terrac come with her. She swore the old man to secrecy.

Once at their destination, Kay made sure that she had everything that she needed, which were two gifts, invitation and her commlink. She didn't bring her satchel this time. It was to be kept on board. Before leaving her ship, Terrac turned in his chair and looked at her. "You sure about this, doll?"

She knew what he had meant. Going alone. Facing what she had been avoiding for some time. And this day was no day for a scene. Kay shook her head. "No. But I don't plan on being long. I haven't been to any weddings outside of my own, and that wasn't a long one. So...here's hoping this is the same. I'll contact you as soon as I'm on my way back."

Terrac nodded and turned back around. "Here's hoping..." He lowered the ramp and let her out.

Kay dressed well enough to blend in, yet not stick out. That was her plan. She followed the directions given and then the lit pathways. It was pretty. The whole place was pretty. She handed in her invitation and then bypassed all of the food. Her appetite wasn't with her. Maybe she'll nibble on a little something later. And not being a drinker, she didn't take any wine either. She merely asked for water.

After receiving her glass she headed over to the table reserved for gifts and placed hers on it. There was a bottle of Commenor brandy and a small pouch around the neck containing two chrysopaz gemstones. They were yellow, translucent, uncut and unpolished. A little note inside read:

~Life is a treasure. Marriage is a treasure. Together they are priceless.

Congrats.

Kay~

She then retreated to one of the crowds of gathering strangers and hid behind them, sipping her water and nodding politely to any of them that said hello.

He really couldn't skip on this grand day that meant a lot to Faith and Draco. What type of friend would do that? Not Vilaz, for sure.

He was dressed in his armor which opposed the black tie theme of the wedding, and the attendants of the wedding didn't mind at all. As long as his manners were in check and didn't initiate a brawl, then all was good for everyone. Of course, he really wasn't the type to start fights unless he was provoked by anyone that was smart enough to step on his toes. Nor would tne few numbers of his clan that he brought along or his adopted son Lok. Especially with Lok after he was caught by Mandalorian and Alderaanian law enforcers in a brawl with some noble teenage boys that called out on the Munin boy and a group of his friends. If they were out of conduct, then they were going to get an earful and a handful from their Alor.

"Just give me a good damn reason and you'll be getting a good one," the Munin said to his son and to the clansmen he brought to the royal wedding and they responded with a, Yes, sir."

They went about their business, mostly conversing with the clansmen of Draco's. The Warrior would ask a waiter that was passing out drinks to the guests on where he could find the groom. Once given the information, he would walk to the back lobby where Draco awaited for the ceremony to commence.

She came in dressed in her armor polished worn but still in good shape. She knew Draco from a training class and Faith was family.

Her buir was Uncle to the Alderaan Princess this marriage would forge closer tied for the Mandalorians and House Organa.

She looked at the good it looked interesting. Foreign for certain. She could tell there weren't many guests here yet but she did enjoy the candle light.

She slipped her buy'ce off and hooked it to her hip. She smiled at the waiter, "the bar? "

He pointed her in the right direction once there she started to try and figure out what would work when the guy behind the bar asked if she would like a black ale. They actually had mandalorian drinks. Well feth, "yes."

Surprised yet pleased she walked away well maybe this won't be as bad as she thought.

As more and more arrived wearing armour, Kay got less and less comfortable. With the recent attacks in the same system as Commenor, now followed by the call to war against the Republic, coming here was probably not the right choice. Although Commenor was neutral, it might not always be that way. And she had allies all over that would come to her aid when she needed it. The Raxian Empire was one of them. [member="Gray Raxis"] had adopted her as his sister a while back and when he had began his Empire, she automatically became a part of it, if not for her own safety over everything else. But there was much for her to learn.

Kay finished her water and decided to get some air outside of the pavilion and away from the lit pathway. At least from outside she'd be able to see who was coming or going. And then when the ceremony started, she would maybe take a peek before leaving. She looked down to the commlink in her hand and sent out three short beeps, indicating to her pilot that all was well. The old man preferred it when she checked in every once in a while. To save herself from another lecture, she obliged.

Draco smiled at the first of his few friends arriving. Vilaz was a good man, very recently proclaimed Akaan, the Wolf of War. It was a good fit for him, he was good. Sure with things heating up the Mandalorians would be sparse, but if there was one thing Draco truly believed, it was that they were fighting for peace, once and for all. It would be messy, it would be hard getting there, but, if it isn't worth fighting for, it isn't worth having. At what point will they have gone too far, will they have taken the step from liberators to tyrants? He wondered how his children, not his clan, his children would remember him. How the history books would tell his tale, assuming he was even worthy of a mention in all this.

"Hey vod. How is life treating you?" He asked waving the man over to the little antechamber he was sitting in waiting for the ceremony to start. Most of the guests were Alderaanians, and the reception would likely be very quick, at least for them. He had no intention of mingling too long on his wedding night. Besides, this day was for Faith, and he understood that, but in his mind, this was just a formality that was being addressed.

"I need a favor too. I need a best man. Help me out, and I'll see what I can do about hooking you up with the bride's maids." Draco said jokingly, kind of. This was a happy occasion, where he and Faith were formally united. With conflict looming he needed to be careful, he needed to keep an eye on his people on his actions, but one thing he was certain of was that he wanted to do was spend the rest of his life with Faith and raise their children together.

It was no easy feat for the former Supreme Commander of the Republic to make it to the wedding. His resignation at Deneba had thrown the Republic military into chaos and many of his former subordinates were not happy with him. In fact The Republic Senate had put out a detain and question order on him after they had discovered the depth of his plan to resign and take a sizable force with him. It was the pirate Aedan MIles who opened up the final door he had needed to get the support from his loyal commanders. He himself had taken ships and personnel and fled Deneba for the core. Here he would work on fighting the real enemy while the Republic tore itself apart from within.

His shuttle was a one of very standard design and nothing they would scream Hey I used to command the Republics armies. Still if he ran across the wrong people he could be in trouble. He had been told he was safe to join the wedding festivities without reprisal and he trusted Faith to stick to her word. Willam did not wish to fight the Mandalorians. He would need them in the future for what he had planned. It would be hard for him to gain help from the Republic after his departure and his force was not enough to fight

His shuttle settled down on the landing pad and the relative safety of Alderaan. "General, would be needing an escort?" asked the pilot as Willam stood. "No I will be ok major." said Forlon as the door to the cockpit closed and he turned to exit the shuttle. HE stepped off the ramp and pressed the communications button on his wrist pad. "Please Inform [member="Draco Vereen"] and [member="Faith Organa"] I have arrived."

Claire awaited the arrival of [member="Willam Forlon"] she had been told of his arrival and Faith and Draco told her to make sure he was greeted and treated honorably. She knew that Faith and the former Supreme Commander were friends but she was unaware of what had happen at Deneba as many of the guests on Alderaan would be unaware. She made sure she tugged her dress into place formal occasions and all.

She smiled as another transport was coming into the island, she hoped he was on it. Faith was still getting ready and Draco was off somewhere speaking with one of his clan mates, least she thought thats how they referred to one another a clan mate.

She kept her smile on, nodding to guests as they passed. The nobles were out in force and who wouldn't be free food and drinks, dancing and to celebrate something happy for a change.

Kay watched as [member="Willam Forlon"] walked along the lit pathway. Phew! She wasn't alone afterall. She headed over to him, quickening her pace, yet trying to not make it seem as much. As she neared him she cleared her throat a bit before speaking. "Supreme Commander Forlon. I wasn't expecting to see you here. But it's good to see you, nonetheless."

His appearance gave her relief. But she had no idea what had transpired at Deneba or elsewhere. Even her Jedi bodyguard Veiere had yet to tell her of what had happened on Mimban. Kay had been in the middle of a short election campaign when the Mimban sector was attacked. During that time she had helped Commenor with getting it's citizens to safety and keeping an eye on the skies as their defences were mobilized by General Santiago.

She offered Willam a small smile. "How're you doing?"

Sadness would not have a part in this day, atleast if Alyesa had anything to say about it.

Her entrance would be subtle, as she didn’t want to take the spotlight away from her sister – and those who knew she was present would ensure to keep it under wraps that she had arrived. It was unfortunate that her duties had pulled her off-world for so long. Emergency union disagreements on Haroon had caused quite a stir on Alderaan and called for her immediate intervention, and what might have been a few day meeting turned into months long process. Her contact was limited during that time and of course she felt bad for not keeping in touch during that time but the affairs of the Kingdom came first – that was for sure. None of that mattered though, atleast not today. She was here for Faith, and her soon to be husband, Draco. Alyesa would support their marriage and their decision to be together – to whatever end.

Her guards would be left amongst the security, elsewhere in the facility while Alyesa made her way quietly to where her sister stood in silence. Hands would press against the door and open it slowly, wanting to surprise her with her appearance but not take away the moment of course. She entered quietly and hushed anyone who stood or made commotion – moving behind her sister as she stared away in the mirror.

A hand would come to her chin, eyeballing the dress as she spoke. “I would say that dress is fit for a Queen…” She mused softly, speaking up in order to surprise [member="Faith Organa"].

Willam walked down the path tot he main estate thinking about the events of the past weeks. The senate and government od the Republic had undermined his command. His plans had not been followed and his men paid the price for the arrogance and adeptness of the politicians. Too many times had the political arm of the Republic gotten in his way. Kept him from doing his job and winning battles. The eyes of the Senate were clouded now and the true enemy was out there hiding. He had placated the Sith at Deneba and let them remove their people from the world under the guise of humanitarian support. He had known it was a ploy but used them to do good rather than fight them while innocent Denebans died. His reprimand for that action had been the final insult.

He neared the egress of the hall when a voice called out his name. He knew the woman who was now moving up to walk beside him. The woman was known for her political prowess and was a jedi on top of that. HE was not sure how he felt about seeing her here. At last count, his intelligence team had her on her home world of Commenor. He would have to get into that once back aboard ship.

"Ah master Kay, It is a pleasure to finally meet you. I see you were privileged with an invitation as well. I fear we may not be the most popular people here today." said Forlon as the two walked into the hall.

Master Kay? That took her by surprise. Did he know? Maybe it was just a slip of the tongue, she wasn't sure. But she liked to keep some aspects of herself well guarded.

"It's Madam President Kay now. And yes I was invited, though I have not seen Faith or Draco in quite some time. Honestly I was surprised at the invite given the last moments that we were together. It was a dark time for me, but at least something good came out of it. One thing that Faith and I shared in common was that we were both widows. It's good to see that she has found happiness again." Maybe [member="Faith Organa"] could keep [member="Draco Vereen"] out of darkness as well. She wasn't sure. But the hope was there.

As for both her and [member="Willam Forlon"] being the most unpopular, she hastily agreed. "I'd be lying if I said that I was comfortable being here. But given that I was adopted into the Raxian Empire and am having an Embassy built on Commenor should help. Yet if that isn't enough, then I will take my leave of here early. This is their day, not mine. I don't want there to be any trouble."

[member="Alyesa Organa"]

Faith stood with her back grinned at the sound of her sister's voice, "You think so, cause I agonized and fought with Claire about this dress" as she slowly turned to face her now Alyesa could see the front of the dress, "I just wanted something simple something soft, course the veil is a bit more than I wanted but it's antique lace something Claire found somewhere."

But that was enough about the dress for now, "I'm glad you made it back did you get everything done that you wanted to?" that was the thing about Alyesa she seemed to always be on a mission for something, while Faith tended to weave in and out of life. She wanted to keep Alyesa apprised of ongoing projects.

"We are starting work on the Welcome Center by the spaceport. We'll be able to issue mining permits and visitor passes for anyone coming to Alderaan. So we are slowly rebuilding our presence. And of course Clan Ordo, Clan Vereen, and Clan Betna all have land grants to build here. They are all family after all and it will be nice to have the additional family close by, don't you think?"

Alyesa chuckled and gently embraced Faith, her hands coming to her shoulders as she tried to quiet her. “Shh, no more business or kingdom talk – leave it with a droid and I’ll review it later.” She smiled brightly. “This is about you! This is your day.” She leaned back and looked over Faith once more. “And you look lovely!” Alyesa exclaimed. She moved further back and took a seat in a chair as she watched Faith examine herself as well as show herself off to Alyesa. It was odd seeing Faith in such a state – not in a bad way, but in a way that she never expected. Their lives had been troublesome for so many years, happiness wasn’t something that was easily expected for the Organa sisters, but Alyesa was happy that atleast Faith found it – or it found her, either way. She had happiness with someone, and hoped that someone would show up as an invite had been extended to him – but Alyesa didn’t hold her breath. Her smile faded briefly as she stared off in thought but the voice of Faith caught her attention and the smile returned quickly as she caught the gaze of Faith.

“Yes, yes. Business was nothing more than disagreements between unions – same old stuff. Problem was they couldn’t come to an agreement and threatened conflict. It took a lot longer than expected.” She sighed heavily.

[member="Faith Organa"]

[member="Alyesa Organa"]

"My Day." she laughed again, "my day is more for the nobles of Alderaan to get a free meal, and for me to meet friends of Draco. Some of which I wouldn't know if I fell over, and some of them are even related to Tia, so...I don't know. Seems that we are so many in number when it comes to family at times, I feel like we've been smooshed" She smoothed her dress again.

And Feth why waste words on some things right now, "I resigned from the Republic, kept my Ambassador position, and I'll be a mother again in about 5 months. So life is busy. i'm hoping to help the Mandalorians with some upcoming negotiations, and we've established a homestead on Aldera. So it's been busy while you've been off with the unions"

She stood there not sure how Alyesa would take all of that information.

"Claire and Ana have been handling guests and set up today. I think we are almost ready to start. I'm not sure who all is out there, but I made promise to myself that I would be having a dance and dinner with Draco before midnight. Considering this is an evening affair already, I don't want guests going hungry either."

There was something to do this day other than watch her daughter get married, whispers had already reached her that Alyesa had returned. Good. Her assistant walked in front of her, "Majesty he's right up here, he's been waiting for the ceremony to begin. Guests to arrive"

Arianna paused when she looked out to where the guests were arriving, interesting SC [member="Willam Forlon"] and [member="Lady Kay"] she wondered why Faith had invited them, did she still consider them friends, or was it out of some misguided loyalty she felt she had to. Unknown either way they were here, she would be civil.

She however needed to have a discussion with [member="Draco Vereen"] on this day imparticular before he assumed more of a role within her Family, and within their legacy.

As she wound her way towards him her assistant became more jittery, "Mam he is with a friend"

Arianna gave her that look, like ok, but it's not stopping me. Until she stood just a few feet from where he as with his comrade, "Commander Vereen. I think we should talk, your friend can stay what I have to say is not a secret to be horded."

Draco nodded and moved away from Vilaz anyway, stepping out of ear shot. "It may not be intended as a secret, but I won't have my business spread out on this day." Draco said quietly, standing up, his cheer and and jovial mood soured by Arianna's arrival.

"Its Alor Vereen now. Just Alor." He said with a smiled as he looked down at the older woman. Whatever dourness and burdens she heaped upon him Faith would wash away when she was presented to him, and they exchanged vows, and then by the end of the night the only thing that would matter to Draco and Faith was each other and everything else would be in the back of their minds to trouble them some other time.

"So," Draco said, rather pleased with himself, "Didn't quite get rid of me. Gave it your best shot, admirable effort, only a few hours left to have me assassinated before the vows and honeymoon, but I'm stubborn and hard to put down." He winked at the older woman. She didn't like him, and so he let the defiant side of his personality come out whenever he had to confront her. He was always a little anti-authority, but when she came in prodding and pushing him, he got indignant. Especially today, which was supposed to be a happy occasion.

Arianna laughed, 'You really think THATS what it has been all about? I thought you would hae fiured it all out by now, I gave you the best hint I could and you didn't get it" Arianna didn't not move she was not in the least bit intimated by him. She new men bigger than him, darker than him, and she had loved him all her life.

But what did Draco know of that, "My children are precious to me, more so than even they know. When they choose partners, and usually they choose their own I need to know what manner of man decides to spend his life, second to his wife." She smiled this time sweeping her skirt back and moving past Draco, only to turn again.

"Faith and Alyesa are both set to sit upon a throne that my family worked hard to attain, worked hard to keep, and every day work hard to show that it was well earned and that we deserve to continue to sit there. The men they are involved with must be above reproach, they must have their own mind, their own set of standards, and not be bought for mere credits or promises."

She smiled, "i tried to get rid of you, and you stayed. I've seen you cover her in gifts, and make her miserable when you're not here or with her. I've seen you stand up to those who would seek to take from us our home. No Draco you have misread it all, I wasn't trying to get rid of you, I wanted to be sure you would stay with her. Even when she didn't really want to all this" Arianna waved her hand around, "you insisted she do it. So now we get to show everyone the level of commitment."

Arianna got up and approached Draco, "You'll get use to me one day. Welcome to the family Prince Consort of Aldera, Duke of the Apalis Coast Draco Vereen-Organa" She nodded, "I think I'm ready to see my daughter now"

Arianna headed towards the door, "I never hated you, but I could if you ever hurt her"
