I'm bored, let's talk

So...I've never researched Alter Environment, but it seems I'm about to go up against it.

Should I be taking issue with the fact that someone is writing themselves to be continually electrically charged in a way that they are able to keep the charge while walking on the ground but will surcharge into someone else if they are touching the ground?

Also... That Knight has fewer posts than me...am I I to assume he has more training despite that discrepancy?

Anyone's opinions are welcome, though I think I have a plan.

I'll let you work out the laws of Electricity yourself...

But it's fair to say that not every Faction promotes the same way. We insist all bar the very basic Abilities (Sense, Push, Pull, Speed) are developed in a thread. Which is why you'll rarely see a GR Knight with under say 400 posts or a Master with under 1,000 - because that's how many it takes to learn the skills (the exception would be characters transferred in from other boards).

Some Factions promote to Knight based on other criteria. That's their call. We'll keep doing it our way...

:)

I wasn't complaining about not being a Knight, I just wanted to know how I should play it. Do I assume that he has more/better training despite fewer posts towards developing the character?

The principal of the Vong is why I hate them. The same reason I find dragons in Star Wars to be idiotic. The bastardization of the Star Wars genre by bringing in "alter dimensions and/or galaxies and/or laughably over the top species" is what ruins the entire immersion of Star Wars to me. The moment I see someone writing like that, I bail on the thread. It's pointless, boring, and ruins any semblance of the brand to me. If you want to write a Vong, that's fine, but I don't want to write with you in any capacity.

In my own opinion the EU is nothing but garbage that was thankfully severed from Star Wars canon by the Gods of Disney. (Thank you so much Disney.)
I've never been a fan of the Vong either. They were created solely to pinpoint all of the weak points of the Jedi and EU pretty much spiraled out of control after it. Not to mention they killed Chewie off in the first bloody book! What a terrible decision.

There were some good NJO novels though. Traitor had some great writing/character development. And come on, there's a lot of good stuff in the EU! The Thrawn trilogy? The first Rogue Squadron novels as well as the comics? The occasional Clone Wars novel like Medstar. I'm glad the Vong are gone, but I wonder if we'll ever see the caliber of villain/anti-hero that Thrawn represented in the new stuff. I'm not convinced.

I know you weren't complaining :)

Assume he's at Knight level, even if he doesn't have the requisite development to back that up. So greater access to the Force and for a longer duration.

This website has no written order on the subject. RPJs can rule based on their individual opinion too. Handwavium and PM is going your best friend here.

Tier (Rank), post count, char dev threads, formatting of his char sheet, better grammer, awesome spelling, etc. Nope. Doesn't matter. These do not contribute in any hard-crunch way towards victory. There is no RPJ manual written on what-is and what-is-not "victory". To quote the Matrix: there is no spoon. The only hard facts is that he can't kill you without permission and he can't Godmode. (AKA: He must express the vulnerability to being defeated in some manner. He cannot embrace, invulnerability.) Absolutely everything else is subjective. Open to interpretation. A partnership between writer and writer expressed as, player vs player. You can literally play it anyway you want.

Now that I've given you too many options and blown your mind. Enjoy! :D :p

Remember also that that sort of force use is going to drain him and drain him fast. If I were facing someone doing something along those lines. Also remember that lightsabers will ground electricity, so if he is attacking you with electricity you can block it with your saber.

I once had someone send a blast of electricity through the floor at me and I drove the tip of my lightsaber into the ground in front of me to defend from the attack.
