Invasion I'm On A Boat [OS-Republic Invasion of Manaan]

Location: Silk Facility
Objective: survive the fight!
Allies: [member="Varus Shatterstar"]
Enemies: [member="Viktor Romanov"] - [member="Xilo Gale"]

Kian was proud to see that his apprentice had maneuvered away from the first attack successfully but was glad he had arrived in time to help with the volley of attacks that followed. Kian was focused on protecting his apprentice, so focused that he didn't notice the approach of [member="Viktor Romanov"] behind him. Kian knew there was another around, but he had allowed himself to get distracted by his concern for his apprentice.

It wasn't until Viktor was right behind him that he sensed that familiar tingling of danger. Knowing he had little time, Kian threw himself to the side, not even bothering to try and turn to face the man. He hit the ground hard, rolling to the side and one of the cuts on his forearm that had healed opened back up, trailing a thin line of blood behind him. Varus was on his own now.

Coming up from the roll, Kian brought his lightsaber up defensively, finally coming face to face with the Sith.

"Surrender and no harm will befall you!" Kian said, a touch of authority in his voice. Kian always gave them a way out. It was in his nature. He couldn't bring himself to fight a foe without doing so. To a Jedi such as he, fighting was a last resort. Though Kian had yet to meet a Sith who took the offer.

Viper stood there in slight disbelief that the Sith Lord could be so cold even to one he supposedly loved. He knew of course they would sacrifice just about anything for more power, but Viper expected more of a hesitation than this. Perhaps the man thought he was bluffing? Judging from the cold demeanor that emanated from his presence, Viper doubted that his enemy was bluffing. So it came to it, that he was being challenged to make good on his threat. Viper's mind raced. Could he kill a defenseless kneeling opponent? He looked down at his victim for a moment. He'd more than happily take her as a prisoner, but he knew that wasn't possible. There was no way to hold her without being overrun by enemy reinforcements. Viper could let her go....but then she would simply slaughter more of his people later, perhaps even himself. Then lose lives would be on his head too.

He could suddenly feel the pain that was in her eyes. It seemed even as a Sith, they could still feel the sting of betrayal. And at that briefest of moments, he felt pity for the woman. She had come here to fight alongside her husband. To bring the Republic to its knees and destroy all he held dear. But to do so as a married couple. But the second the choice was presented to the wretch that lay in front of his master, the man chose his quarry over what should of been his true prize, his wife. His eyes narrowed at the disgusting figure that was her husband. Turning back to his prisoner he suddenly didn't see a woman, but a small child. He didn't see a Sith, but a Jedi. What was this madness? Where had this child come from and why was she in his deadly grip?!

His grip lessened only slightly, just enough so that Invicta could still breath, but not enough for her to escape. There was something wrong, something terribly wrong. Viper fought to concentrate and focus. It was then a sudden feeling in the back of his mind began to wave a red flag of warning. And it wasn't the childlike voice whimpering and trying to get him to release her. It was then the feeling of another presence began to manifest itself. How did he not sense it before? Was he not to trained in force stealth? It seemed that even after the cards had been dealt, the Sith were always trying to slip in a wild card out of nowhere. He had to think fast.

Seemingly giving in to the hallucination that the person behind him was portraying in his mind, the veins of green electricity coursing through his arms and into his victim ebbed away to nothing. In its place and concealed by his own stealth abilities, the force began to build up within him. A tinge of regret began to stab at his heart as he lowered his head to Invicta's ear. "I'm sorry..." Viper was doubtful she would care for any apology that he had to offer. But it was meant honestly, the tone of his voice indicating he had sympathy enough even for an enemy such as she. He allowed her to feel his sorrow at her being betrayed in such a manner, to feel his regret at having to slaughter her in this way. This wasn't the way of the Jedi. But any other way resulted in the death of more innocents, and this he would not allow.

All of these thoughts and feelings passed through Viper in nearly the blink of an eye. And once that moment was over, a strong force pulse was sent out in all directions to hopefully knock off balance his next opponent. Simultaneously, he activated his saber through Invicta's face, withdrew his claws by dragging them across her neck in a slicing movement for good measure. He wouldn't be lulled into being duped today. Though he wondered how much longer he could keep up the fight. His first round had already left him feeling rather drained. As the pulse went out, and his victim began to crumple to the floor, he did a force back flip, twisting in the air so they he could face his next opponent. "Come out, come out, wherever you are." Came his dark reply as he reached out with the force and looked with his eyes to see if he attacker would be willing to have the courage to show themselves.

Power flowed from the little Darth who was cradling an increasingly larger orb within the folds of her miniscule hands. Had anyone ever dared to suggest she was anything but a full Sith Lord in her own right, they would have quickly changed their opinion right there and then. Destruction was embodied in that orb, the size of a tear, then a pebble, finally a fist-sized rock; it hummed and vibrated with power, even Carach’s eyes filled themselves with amber at the sheer intensity of darkness.

His lips curled into a cold smile, this would do, Neph… this would do plenty. The Voice of the Dark Lord could already picture the scene before his eyes, the blood-red orb flown from her extended hands, air vibrating as the oxygen particles parted for the abomination of darkness until it finally reached the durasteel contrapment which held the Sith Forces back.

The metal beams would fold in themselves, until finally the sheer force would send the durasteel flying backwards, shrapnel flying right into the defenders of the bunker doors. Before the true battle would even start… there would be blood already, with screaming corpses huddling to the ground. Moral would fall and eventually the other hallways would too follow with monsters, zombified remains and vong streaming into the generator room.

It would be a massacre of the ages.

Now.’ the Voice of the Dark Lord commanded, the shield would fall for a single defining moment so that the orb could be thrown, before rising up and enclosing them again.

The command would erupt the pulsating ball of crimson and black kinetic energy infused with the power of the Darkside straight through the opening granted by [member="Darth Carach"]. There was precision in her trajectory, aimed anew to the weak points of the blast door as the whizzing ball of electric and kinetic energy would sweep across the length of the corridor.

With it brought the seemingly thunder of a storm, the whoosh of air until finally --

BOOOOOOOOOOOOM!

Metal would warp inward in a terrible groan, circuits would spark, and shrapnel and debris would fly into the main generator room. A thick cloud of smoke would rise in the wake of the explosion. Hiding the inhabitants within from view for a few precious seconds.

Inside of the shield of protection, standing beside the tall, broad shouldered Darth who would dwarf her, a wolfish sinful smile so contrary to the normally stoic Vahla would curve.

By now, the rest of the ground forces from the Sith had long secured the above ground facilities. However, the aquatic Yuuzhan Vong special forces that had come originally with Nephthys still had some Selkath to deal with.

Word came that Selkath had managed to take Selka and 'free' her from the One Sith clutches. Reinforcements of the Selkath at the Rift meant that they would still need to ensure the Selkath population still resisting be contained.

Sinking into the depths, the Yuuzhan Vong Aquatic units would dive. Going deeper and deeper into the inky blue black of the Rift. Soon they would be upon the resisting Selkath Forces.

But not yet.

Romeo continued to walk backwards on the roof of the building, that darkness looking a little too friendly. He reached out with the force, to try, and find Patricia, she was safe, hurt but safe. She gotten off the planet in time for Romeo to focus on all his attention on Darth Viitum. This woman sure did like talking about all kinds of things, which Romeo wouldnt mind talking about them, had she not been trying to kill him.
The Vahla watched the darkness part away, and something..come..flying, "What the hell!?" Romeo had to act quickly to avoid being slammed into, and eaten by a zambie. Quick reflexes, and honed instincts pushed him to action. Bending backwards to avoid the zambie, his saber ignited, coming up to it's head, then slicing it in two. Romeo stood back up, and turned to give a brief look at the now dead dead undead.
"Silara! I never hated you...you're still beautiful in my eyes...what you've done..that's what I hate...dont make me do this."
He walked casually back to the other side of the building, and looked down on Silara. Zambies surrounded the area, and it was just good ol' chaos all over the place. "You think I drove you out because of you? I loved you!...I still do...I was young, and stupid! I was wrong! Forgive me for my horrible crime against you!" His blood red eyes caught wind of the still burning fire. Drawing on the darkness around him, filling his core with the force, his hands moved in front of his, his left hand moving in a circle, and his right hand moving in the opposite direction. The fire listened to his beckoning call, it was easier to command a fire already made, and this was curled around him like a snake, and twisted up into the air, the the end came down to face towards Silara. His fingers moved along with his hands, shaping the fire in his own form. The end turned into something resembling the dragon's head.
"Dont let this turn out into something ugly Silara...you can still leave with me..." He crafted the now fire dragon to open his mouth, and the flames roared like a actual dragon may have. "Let me show you what real love it...let me show you what being human is."
The force vibrated around him, and the air vibrated with it as he prepared for anything. He commanded the dragon to crash into the zambies, watching it swoosh down, slamming into them, lighting them on fire, and passing through the massive horde of zambies. His hands moved with it, this was him moving it, not a creature he had made, this was just the power he contained, and it was not all of it.
He watched the horde dwindle down some, as they would pump into each other, causing the fire to spread faster, till Silara would be surrounded by burning undead flesh. He hadn't killed them all, but a lot were now just heaping piles of fire. He called the dragon back to wrap around him.
His eyes looked into Silara's, and he spoke one last time. "I miss you Silara Vantai...."

Reverance - a name that most likely carried a more literal meaning than Kana cared to know for. At least in the moment. He preached of the errors in the Jedi way as most Sith ever did. A retort was still out of the question, he had already proven himself more well-deserving of the respectful silence than anything else. She opened her mouth to speak to share her own name but found herself cut short before it had even begun. Perhaps there were no longer a need for words. With a stare she went back to her Makashi stance.

As she prepared herself to initiate the combat once more she felt a tickling sensation around her wound but shook it off as dirt or something similar irritating it. As she took the first step she came to a quick stop. The feeling turned from a tickle to a burn as the wound started burn a bit more than before. Her eyes opened in surprise and she had to think quickly. She needed to break his focus, but how?

Her eyes scanned the ground. There had to be something she could use, anything. Once more she was reminded of the debris scattered around the room. There were rocks, she could throw them, but that seemed a bit too barbaric. To toss rocks was the stuff of ewoks, not something a jedi knight would do.

No, Kana had to do something stupid. Her arm wouldn’t just fall off, would it? Saber in her right hand she ignored the pain as best she could. The force sped up her approach and before long she quickly thrust her blade towards Reverance's right shoulder. It was a futile attempt but the purpose had never been to truly strike him down with it as much as get his attention elsewhere.

The Kel Dorian Jedi at least appeared to be of a higher quality, there was no fear in his voice, only of authority and conviction. Still, Viktor would teach him how fear felt. He must have been a strong force user to have noticed Viktor in this darkness, but that would be little issue. Viktor gave a laugh that sounded terrible, the screech of metal could be heard behind every laugh of his fake lungs. Viktor had two black, as dark as the room was, protrude from his arms. He would use the blackness of the room to his advantage in every strike. This Jedi might be stronger, but he was certainly not smarter.

"I am sorry Jedi, but there is no way that I can give up to your kind, but I fear you hear that response quite often." Viktor would not give the Jedi the first strike. He drew a lightsaber, glowing a piercing red through the darkness, hoping it would draw the Jedi's attention away from the dark blade that met it at a 90° angle. He ran at the Jedi immediately and went straight for a thrust to his abdomen, and if it were deflected he would make an incision on the Kel Dor's breast with his alternate blade.

"Sparkey, ifff shey ain't no cab, ya jush gotta dig." Qun said to Spark and pointed his lightsaber down. It wouldn't lead directly down to the water, probably some pipes and/or circuitry that ran throughout the rest of the city, but if she picked a direction and ran with it she could probably escape as long as Qun bought her some time. And he'd buy her that time. Via Spark's holoscreens Qun and Stali had an idea of what they were up against. Two well known Sith Lords. It'd be tough, but Shule had told him about a Jedi Knight who took down two Sith Lords alone, one's whose strength far surpassed his own. If that old Jedi Knight could do that, Qun could at least fight until someone else came to help.

"I'll take Death Cataract. You take on Nymphomaniac." He said, before the door exploded in a rage of smoke and shrapnel. Qun darted to the side, aided by Force in his step, but Force speed was a new technique. Only learned just moments ago from an impromptu lesson from Manyshaven Pandaru. One of pieces of shrapnel passed through the edge of his upper left tricep, leaving a nasty trail of blood. Another went through the edge of his right thigh. More blood. He was darn lucky they hadn't gone down into his bone and he wasn't debilitated. Just in pain. Though with him having roughly a .3 BAC right now he didn't necessarily feel it as much as he should have.

He ignited both sides of right saber staff, and clipped his left one to his belt, pulling out a secondary flask and a lighter with his left hands. He stuffed as much alcohol into his mouth as he could, a rather large amount in truth, but didn't swallow and kept himself ready with his lighter. Just because he was a drunkard and a padawan didn't mean the besalisk didn't have a few tricks up his sleeve.

"Alright," he said - there was little time to consider the pros and cons of this, much less object with what happened next.

In the subsequent moment, the last blast door to the south was done for, spraying metal shrapnel remains and billowing smoke into the generator control room, causing the Felacatian to reflexively erect a barrier while legs moved him out of the way of the brunt of the blowout. He managed to avoid shrapnel damage with the inherent quickness of his actions, but the smoke was still flowing in and he couldn't justify keeping the barrier up for longer than was realistically necessary - conservation of energy as a tactic was crucial - so down the barrier went once all the shrapnel had made its way in, leaving him to cover his nose and mouth with the fabric of his sleeve at the crook of his elbow.

He was coughing a little but not so hard that he could be said to be hacking up a lung as his somewhat luminescent, citrine eyes searched the expanding and slowly thinning smoke for the forms of the other two, finding at least one of them in short order thanks to the ignition of one of his dual-bladed lightsabers cutting through the smoke. The smoke thinned more, enough for him to see what the basilisk was intending to do and it was the first thing in so many minutes that made him smile. He edged over to the south entrance, and pressed against the wall alongside it on their, not his, right, violet-blue bladed lightsaber held pointed downward in his outer hand.

Let them come, he thought with intensity.

It all brought a menacing, toothy grin to his face, and he pulled in his presence as he had in practice and in the field at every chance he could get since Sardun had taught him, and stood there against the wall, waiting.

Darth Carach sniffed, taking in the sweet, sweet aroma of despair slowly being produced by the Republicans in their desperate fight for survival. Every second that passed was one that brought them closer to that realization that there was nowhere to run, nowhere to hide, that today… was one of the last days of the Republic and their tyranny. It made the Sith Lord smile and with a wave of the hand he and his entourage started walking.

Exceptionally well-done, Neph.’ Carach praised his Sith companion, for once not using her Darth nommer, but something more akin to real companionship, to… friendship even. But as soon as the moment came, it was gone again when the Voice looked away. Eyes hardened at the far-away sight of the rebels in the hallways of the generator room.

Around them the Royal Guardsmen and soldiers of the Imperial Military took charge of the situation, setting up parameters outside of the doorway. If anyone wanted to follow, they would have to go through a figural army first, probably. As the two Sith Lords stepped through an idea came to Darth Carach, it made him smile, a smug grin that had once belonged to a different man, in a different time.

He raised his hand and pulled it downwards, a rumble seemed to appear before the entrance to the generator-room collapsed. Carach looked back, there was nowhere to hide now, no chance of retreat for either parties.

Or at least… that’s how it seemed to be, but sights could deceive, could they not?

Worry not, Lady Nephthys. We shall prevail.’

They would move and move, until finally Carach spoke again. Not verbally, but in the minds of those who wished to oppose them. It was an alluring whisper, playing on their anticipation, hope of prevailment and perhaps the lingering sense of dread that today would be the last day. ‘Drop your weapons, do not resist and you will be spared.’ the Sith Lord would whisper, he would give them one chance… everyone deserved at least one chance.

"I don't understand the reasoning behind your kind. How can you learn and grow with each other, if all you can ever do is look over your shoulder for the next person to betray you? How can anyone ever prosper by killing their own? I cannot reason with that. It's senseless to me. As Jedi, our sworn oath to The Republic is to defend her citizens, wherever and whenever asked. We are not conquerors, and we share our knowledge with one another to help each other grow. You are confusing my motives and a vast majority of Jedi with regard to the dark side. I see no inherint evil behind the knowledge and ideology of it. What I see is the reprehensible temptation to exercise that power and knowledge to the destruction and subjugation of others." Sera gripped her side as another wave of pain set in, the raw, open wound a constant reminder that she needed attention soon. "I don't agree with peace through tyranny, or fear. How can you hope to achieve peace when everyone in your order is constantly scheming to kill one another? If that is what you teach, that is what you receive in return."

As the corridor opened revealing dozens of dead, Sera paused as she passed each one, kneeling down, one hand on the floor to stabilize herself as her balance was a bit off, checking to see if there were any signs of life, hoping that least someone, anyone, had survived the ordeal. She closed her eyes and sighed, finding nobody alive, and knowing that it would be weeks before they were given a proper resting place, if at all. As the pair continued down the darkened walkway, Sera listened to Xhexania's questions and answered her softly, "I can't speak for the Order as a whole. Everyone has their own views and opinions, and the guidelines that are set before us are there so that we ensure the safety and security of both the Republic and the order as a whole. All that I can offer is my own point of view, of which is the dark side has time and again brought with it oppression, tyranny and death. Perhaps there is some semblance of decency within the Order, but from what I've seen, the vast majority fall into the other category." Here she was, not ten minutes ago fighting this human to the death, and now she was walking side-by-side with her, discussing perceptions of one another's orders. What have I gotten myself into? If we're seen together by either order, this isn't going to end well. Another soft breath was released as Xhexania continued speaking. "There are Jedi who understand the dark side, but choose not to embrace it because they've seen first hand the consequences of others who have gone down that path. It isn't that I think you don't have feelings, it is my fear of the manner in which you embrace them and use them that frightens me. I believe that all Jedi have feelings, including myself, but they choose to suppress them so that they are not controlled by their emotions. I grieve for all lost life, and it is by that choice that I therefore choose not to take a life by my own hand. The very same reason I refused to kill you back there."

As much as she hated the idea of it, the girl did save her life, at the cost of what could, for lack of better words, be passed off as her comrade. "We're nothing more than two sides of the same coin. We want the same things, but have drastically different opinions on the right and wrong way to go about it. There's a lot of grey area, with interpretations of the rules, and I believe that many on both sides fall into the grey area. Perhaps it makes me weak that I disbelieve in killing, and will do whatever I can to prevent death, but I will gladly accept that weakness if it means that I live my life with a clear conscious." Sera smiled, even laughed a pained giggle as Xhexania noted her wound. "If we get out of this heap, an infection is still the least of my problems. You guys hit us hard, in the middle of a celebration no less, and we weren't prepared. Even if I find someone to address this wound, I'm not sure it will matter any more than it does now. It's just as likely that I won't be getting off of this planet."

Halting as Xhexania placed her hand on Sera's shoulder, she listened to what the girl had to say, thinking about the meaning of her words. "You say that the Sith do not teach the concept of evil, but they also do not teach against evil either. I believe everything in this world has a right to choose their own path, but if you don't set boundaries both morally and physically, you risk losing whatever you believe yourself to be. Let me pose this question, if you return to your master and tell them despite the innumerable amount of opportunities you had right now to end my miserable existence, you didn't choose to? How would they take that news? I suspect poorly."

While the duo continued walking through the darkened corridors, Sera paused, leaning against the wall to catch her breath as she looked ahead. The entryway to another room was partially blocked by an earlier collapse. "I would advise we crawl through, without knowing what lies within, it may be risky to shift the rubble and risk further collapse. Besides, I could benefit from a bit more rest." Before continuing onward, Sera sat on the floor, she was beginning to feel lightheaded from the blood loss thus far, and knew she wasn't going to make it to the surface again before she passed out if she didn't do something about it. Removing her broken saber, she placed the hilt between her teeth. She then unlatched her functional saber, activating the blade with her outstretched arm. Drawing in a few deep breaths she released the saber, levitating it into the air as she turned it to face her. With extreme caution she slowly lowered it towards her open wound, shrapnel still well buried inside of her. That would require some unpleasent surgery later. Several short rapid breaths gave way before biting on the cool metal hilt as she levitated the blade against her side, cauterizing the wound so that at the very least the bleeding would cease. Her eyes widened as more tears welled up, a long agonizing groan escaped through the vice grip her jaws had on the broken saber hilt, forcing herself to maintain focus on the blade until the wound closed. Finishing quickly she released her focus on the blade and deactivated it as it dropped to the ground, her lips shaking as she dropped her arms down to rest.

Manaan. The Goddess had directed him to this place. To watch from afar, the vessel known to him as Nephthys. To be groomed and prepared she would be directed as he. She however was important, more than the pawn he was. A wolfish grin inched its way across his pale face as he watched from afar with the aid of his binoculars. He was not far, he could reach her if need be, but if she fell then she was not fit to be the vessel in his mind.

Standing atop a roof he took a deep breath, inhaling the salt on the air before mounting his speeder. They were advancing, he needed to stay close.

"You understimate the Jedi... 'Dear,'" Odeyseis said to her as an answer to her reaction to the Jedi. The Sith jumped to him to attack as she did the other times, but Odeyseis felt harm incoming. Odeyseis decided to use more of his strength to use Force Speed as a risk, with his speed augmented, he turned to see that the gun he dropped was used against him.

The Sentinel reacted by advancing to her with a great speed thanks to Force Speed trying to avoid the incoming gun. As he approached to her, he took advantage of his stance to parry her oncoming attacks, stopping at a distance where he could parry her lightsabers, first her right one pushing it to the Jedi's right then her left one pushing it downside. Now, it was time to be in the offensive, Odeyseis decided to bring a flurry of his lightsaber while in Force Speed. Odeyseis will bring his saber up trying to slash her arm, then he will strike her shoulder bringing his lightsaber downwards again. If she would parry these attacks, Odeyseis would step backwards, bringing the lightsaber's hilt close to him, in a position where he could stab the Sith to her left leg.

Odeyseis hoped he could be fast enough, since he still felt pain on his shoulder.

The dust would settle, and there stood the petite Vahla Darth along side the towering form of [member="Darth Carach"]. Her armor was seemingly bulky, as if something else lay underneath. It was covered in luminescent algae that would glow with an iridescent quality. From head to toe, she appeared to be a creature summoned from the very depths of the Rift -- as if the very Gods of the Sea had come to reclaim that which was was rightfully hers.

Calypso would reign a storm tonight, and while the tiny Darth stood stoic amidst the rubble, it was clear by the thrum of power she held that she was not to be underestimated. Her armored fingers lay at her side, and she appeared to be the perfect picture of cordial stoic reserve. None the less, the Shield would be at the ready.

For she was a child of the Goddess. A vessel crafted specifically for a special role that had spanned generations. Over and over again. One that shared a connection with the Chosen Hákon and Moirai of a millenia ago. Just like her Onii-san.

Two halves of a whole.

She ducked her head as the doors exploded, debris cut through the sleeve of her gray-hoodie. A ringing echoed in her ears. Slender-digits trembled as she looked to Qun. Her hands were never made for fighting. They were made for data-crunching, code-writing, and systems and droid tinkering. She gnawed on her lower lip and even though she was terrified, Stali's and Qun's bravery was catching.

"I don't think I can leave you," voice sounded like a mouse. Gray-blue eyes traveled the length of the room until they rested on a maintenance droid through the smoke and dust. "But I think I can help us all to escape. And I think I can fortify the generators for a little while longer if you two keep them busy."

She grit her teeth, half wishing she had never been found by the jedi on the backwater planet and she was still safely hacking away at a public data terminal. She pushed these thoughts away. Fingers flinched as the sith's mental suggestion entered her blond-haired head.

Focusing on the maintenance droid, she reached out with the force and fired it up, manipulating the circuits so it trundled by her side and so that it would do one very specific task. The other door was almost open at their backs and the gun turrets on the other side weren't made to bend around and down to fire inside the room, so they would quickly break.

Death Cataract's voice, it was soothing in a strange way. As if the Sith wanted not only for them to surrender, but to also take them out to dinner.

Qun was drunk, but he sure as hell wasn't that drunk. Qun left hands replied by making fists. His lower left hand telekinetically grabbing the man's cape and firmly yanking it downwards, pulling on the man's neck. His upper right hand would punch forward, making a telekinetic push into the upper body of the Sith Lord. Hopefully he'd be knocked over, or at least off-balance, while Qun headed towards the Sith on foot, notably not with Force Enhanced Speed, trying to close the distance.

Two seconds before Qun attacked, Carach sensed the intent. The Voice of the Dark Lord knew an attack was imminent, but the beast’s mind was… strange, fuzzy, doodled as if it had too much to drink. He got pulled off balance suddenly, telekinesis clearly, his own hand lashed out directed at Qun’s approaching form.

Force Lightning generated from the palm of his hand, as two of the five Hydra-heads steadied Carach’s body and prevented him from falling entirely.

She focused on the little droid.

Don't let them distract you. That sith's voice still echoed at the edge of her mind like there was something familiar about him, something they had in common. She shuddered.

Circuits in the droid slowly reformed as the force flowed between the slicer and the once inanimate object. It's orange eyes glowed to life. Unclipping her lightsaber, she secured the hilt in the droid's claw-like hand. Reaching forward, her thumb hit the ignition. The blue-crackling blade sputtered to life, pointing down directly into the floor.

The newly patterned droid began moving in a circle, slowly cutting a hole through the floor large enough to fit someone like, say, Qun or Stali. The mid-sized droid would sink with the hole, continuing its circular-cutting motion. It would have to go through several layers of flooring, some pipes, and a fortunately, vacated female-nautolan's locker room before reaching an opening to the water, below.

Orbit. Explosion. City.

Orbit. Explosion. City.

Not the worst series of locations and events to follow to this area, wherever this was. He'd never actually been to Manaan, though he'd heard of the city he was now in. Very important to history, it was. Very important. He hadn't been able to find why, just that it was. Several thousand years had a habit of ruining even the most well kept histories.

Well, perhaps not ruin, but certainly corrupt.

Picking his way through corpses both Republic and Sith, he impaled a few wounded enemies on his way towards wherever it was he was headed. His helmet was still cycling comm frequencies, trying to figure out which was the one he wanted to be on. This place was a mess. Stupid Sith. What a bunch of arrogant karkholes.

He sniffed, clearing his nostrils.

Despite the angry thoughts, he was disturbingly calm.

His halberd was his guide, glowing brighter the further he made it, and so in turn he would follow it until he came across a low haze and what appeared to be a broken blast door with ruined turrets.

This looked about right.

He stepped through, unsure of what lay beyond. More blast doors? A dead last stand? Who knew! But his gut told him someone inside was very much alive, and very much fighting.
