Private Imposter Syndrome

“Too real?” Kaili shot Loske a worried look. The instructions from here on out was pretty clear. The ship was arriving at port, but that hardly meant that this was necessarily the end of it as much as the first step that would lead to something else. After all, what was the point of riding this boat if it didn’t lead anywhere?

Kaili seized the courage and pushed out of her seat with an unsteady wobble. Her eyes closed in a firm blink before she eased up into something a bit more casual. Perhaps too casual. Was- was that a thing? Could someone ever be too casual? Perhaps that was to in some shape or form simply be naked. Kaili did most certainly not want that. She took another deep breath and tried to center herself.

“I really should have detoxified about half of those drinks.” She said and gave the bar a groggy look. “How many did we drink?”

Not that it was an issue. One of the benefits of being born into her family was the money, amongst other things. Her index finger and thumb began to rub at her eyes before she let out a sigh.

“Should we go see what this resort has to offer then, maybe? Perhaps, just enjoy some quiet time before we are forced back into reality again?”

"Enough real." She offered a reassuring smile before she and Kaili Talith Kaili Talith went about complying with the ship coordinators instructions. Overall, she'd give her first boat ride a seven-out-of-ten. Next time, she'd try to spend more time on the deck actually trying to enjoy the view (if nature would allow).

The resort itself had balmy weather. Once they'd landed in the port (which was under the shuttle that connected the island to the mainland) they were met with small flowery necklaces that were draped over each of their necks. And the rest of the passengers that were disembarking the vessel.

Quiet time was indeed enjoyed - with paddle boards, the odd interactive group game, and several, several un-diluted drinks later until one or the other got a ding on their datapads, requiring them to bid adieu to a civilian's retreat and back to the stars.

Farewell serenade.
