In Exis (Lady Kay)

Emberlene's Daughter, The Jedi Generalist

The world of Shri Tall was an excellent place to meet and coordinate. The headquarters of the company as Matsu was working with her researchers on new and exciting things. THey had holocron to study and unlock but worked to make sure there was no known location or vault. Each random and worked on in different labs as the one she had found with Domino was in her hand. The arm band opening it up as she looked into the unique casing of it. Smooth and shaped like a dice from a fantasy game while she was looking over it and leaving it there for a moment. The now familiar image of Jev sunrider appeared and the one from ancient times who started a long line of a family of jedi... it was humbling to say the least before she was moving and making contact. The holocron spoke of something more within the holocron but they would need to work on things, they would need to go to places and find the secrets on the journey he took. Going to the home of the sunrider's in ancient times before it would reveal the next stage of the journey. So she had contacted someone who was experienced intraveling the galaxy and had been becoming a thorn in the sides of slavers and criminals. The famous Lady Kay a renowned and talented individual as she was looking over many og the things they had and setting up the gear for herself, her equipment bag with the holocron and wearing the robes of nomi with vima's blade seemed to make the holocron resonate while she slid the armband on so she could unlock the holocron as needed.

Only once had she come into contact with Matsu before and that was on Commenor to worm out a trade deal. For the most part it had been successful. This new request was something out of the ordinary. A different kind of adventure. Kay had no intention of turning it down. She didn't seek new powers or anything, but helping a friend in need was never a bad thing.

Dressed in pants, shirt and jacket suitable for an adventure of this sort, as well as carrying her satchel with her food, water, tea rations, dishes, spare clothes, saber and blaster, Kay was ready to meet up with her friend.

Matsu was looking at Kay when she arrived, the pants, the outfit all ready for exploration and she stood there in the grand bizarre of Shri-Tal with a grin on her face. "Welcome." Walking as she withdrew a small circlet of metal with a head on either end while she spoke. "Welcome to Shri-Tal the hidden jewel of the outer rim." Looking at the band Matsu presented it. "This is something for you, an adventurers circlet, it creates an environmental shield that will protect you in different conditions and can be concealed nearly anywhere." She had an anklet in her boot for herself while moving about. "We have created some of the best for force user and non force user survival gear. I am just glad you were willing to come, this journey would have been very boring without you."

Kay bowed her head as soon as she approached Matsu and smiled. "Many thanks. It's always fun to visit new places." She then took the circlet. It was an interesting device, one that could be very handy in different places. "Might I ask where we are going?"

"Darada." THat was the first location on the map the holocron was sending them and with their advanced mapping systems she had been able to observe and see it. Not much else was known about it but the lush landscape was covering most of it to this day and going back near sic thousand years would be an important thing while her eyes flicked to the woman. "It is a very vague map but there is a home there that will help unlock the rest of the map in this holocron." She held it up, the prismatic and smooth holocron shimmering in one hand but not leaving it near the key before she looked at her. "It is something very old and very ancient but powerful to the jedi."

She raised a brow, having not heard of Darada. But then again there are thousands of worlds in the Galaxy and unless one was a droid, it was hard to keep track of them all. Kay slipped the circlet around her wrist and then looked to the holocron. She had never really seen one in person before. "Does anyone else know that we are doing this? I'd hate for it to fall into the wrong hands..."

Matsu looked at her as she shook her head. "Not really no, my researchers know I am going to be going on a research trip but not where. If they need me they know how to call with the force to find me." She said it with a smirk on her face while going. "And well never know what you might find." She held the holocron in one hand and started walking through the building out to a landing pad.with a ship for them. "It isn't much but we have worked hard to restore it to its original form and no one really pays attention to it." That was the real benefit to the vanguard they could use while she was getting in and had her equipment pack. The logistical suite coming up for them to see as she was setting the course. "Darada is here between the core and mid rim. Not many go near there now but there was a time it had many jedi."

Kay nodded as she followed her out to the ship. She hadn't learned how to call out to others with the Force just yet, but all in due time. "So is it in neutral space then?" She would hate to be caught in Hutt space...again. She was getting into too much trouble with them and didn't want to be under Republic Guard wherever she went.

"I take it that there are plenty of temples there?"

Matsu looked at her with the map up and tapped the planet. "Not quite neutral but well outside of hutt space and on the edge of Republic space. We'll be fine, nowadays it is considered a backwater planet." As to temples there used to be a jedi watchmen there and some jedi training but she wasn't certain of temples. "As to temples well there were outposts and training but nothing big, when a dangerous cult appeared they were only able to scramble and get four jedi masters to it right away. Things likely haven't changed but we'll be on our guard." She was setting the course now while looking at the woman and she grinned. "We are not going to be anywhere near the hutts space." She moved to sit down as the ship was taking off and despite having met her once for trade deals she didn't know much about the woman. "So while we have time, tell me about yourself. THis is going to be a long journey traveling from place to place."

Kay breathed a sigh of relief as she found that she wouldn't be near Hutt space. It didn't mean that they weren't in danger, but at least it would be less danger. She got herself comfortable for the long journey and strapped herself in. "Well...I am a widow, a Senator, and a thorn in the side to Sempra the Hutt and the Jackals. What about you?"

Matsu looked at her and as the trip was going to take some time she could discuss it. "I am a jedi master, a widow, a mother, an artifact hunter and generally overlooked and ignored as a researcher. It is what allows me to get all this free time and hunt down journeies of mystery like this." THere was a smile to that though while she let the conversation go with some food arriving and setting the holocron on the table with the maps of the planet she was able to pull up they could lay out where they were going on the map to have the proper course. "Based on the latest maps we're going into an overgrown forest that hasn't been settled or touched."

Kay nodded as she listened. "Having free time is a wonderful thing, unless one has too much of it." But it seemed as though Matsu was putting it to good use. She looked to the maps and studied them. "An overgrown forest? Well...we'll need something to help us break through the brush. But let's not damage the area too much, just in case we are followed."

Matsu looked at her. "We have equipment for that but I studied plant surge to move them around and out of the way. Something useful in the long run for tracking or wanting to hide." She was looking at the woman and the ship as it exited hyperspace a couple hours later with her attention having been on the maps to try and make the safest pathway. Consulting the holocron that as she activated it liked to be vague about what she had to do and see despite having the armband to unlock it and after getting to be able to speak to the other gatekeepers it provided some more insight. The holocron was... worth it but you had to be willing to devote yourself to the jedi and the light.... That was good as she already matched that at least. The only thing she didn't have was the knowledge or history. THat was what they were going to learn since the darkness wiped a great deal of knowledge and records. FOr now in orbit of the planet Matsu was getting herself ready with an equipment pack and her sabers on her hip while she held the blade of Vima in her hand. "Ready to go?"

Plant surging. That was a new one. All that she had been taught was how to make plants bigger. But perhaps making them smaller would help too. Though that would just take way too long. As they had exited hyperspace and she noticed Matsu getting ready, Kay did so as well, gathering her satchel that she had packed earlier for the journey. She got to her feet and nodded with an eager smile. "I am, my friend. Adventure awaits!"

Matsu was looking at her while she let the ramp come down while she brushed her robes down the front. A smile on her face leading the way down with the holocron in her hand and the arm band over the form fitted light brown clothing that had been a gift from Ulic and his brother. The robes of Nomi on her shoulders while she was walking carefully now as the saber seemed to resonate with the holocron and her outfit, that was the real treat though going forward until she was looking at vines and forest with a hand coming out to make them move rather then grow shrinking away without doing much so they can get through. The sounds of creatures were therein the forest with them while she looked around.

Kay followed, both in awe of the nature of the planet as well as the efforts of Matsu as they moved through the forest. The sounds of wildlife was both disturbing and comforting at the same time. It meant that there could be little to no outside threat, but then they didn't know how dangerous the wildlife could be on their own either. She didn't even know what they looked like. So as they moved through the trees, she kept her eyes on everything around them, watching for movements that could pinpoint danger. So far so good.

Matsu continued through the forest and looking over most of it now she could almost imagine it several thousand years before. With people taking care and using it where needed or hunting the animals. She was just glad for a keen sense of direction and her holomap she had on her palm holo to pinpoint it. Helped keep track while moving with her feet being careful not to disturb much of it until she motioned. The chiming for them getting to their location while she looked, the over grown over and crumbling remains of the holocron as it seemed to hum with proximity but she was looking at all of it. There was something here... she didn't know how to really explain it as the jedi master stood there and looked up. The small clearing with trees seemed to be shaped into the canopy while her attention was on the force. "This place is amazing."

It was nice to see that Matsu appreciated the wilderness as much as Kay did. She carefully touched the trees, just to be sure that they were real and not a holo projection. "This place certainly is amazing. It's a perfect hiding spot for someone or something. I can see why Jedi used to train here. The Force is very strong."

Matsu looked at her as the woman and gave a nod of her head to that. There was a lot that could be hidden here and a great deal that could be around. Slowly she moved around looking at the house She brought the holocron up and the armband chimed as the two tapped together and it brightened up going onto a section of the rubble while the jedi master stood there. The image of the gatekeepers as it flashed and the eldest moved forward. "You have brought the holocron back to where it all began, I was the jedi watchmen for this system. For years I found force sensitive children who had the potential to become a jedi and taught them the history of the order. Answering questions and teaching them as initiates until they could be moved to the jedi temples for a master. My son lived in this home and found a life before he died and my grandson was taught in the history of the jedi."

Holocrons always captured her imagination. They were memories of someone that could be interacted with. In a way it's as though that person could never die. Kay wished that she had one of her late husband. Then she could talk to him and he'd reply back. But that's just wishful thinking.

Kay didn't ask any questions though as this was Matsu's quest. She knew what she was after while Kay only had a vague idea.
