Crix flashed his eyes at Toby when he felt a hat being put onto his head, his first that been that Toby had took his hat off and returned it but he softened when he saw this was not the case. He did come to wonder where the hat had come from though. Then he spotted the stand containing miscellaneous effects Including but not limited to hats. Had Toby robbed a shop? Crix had to laugh "Toby did you steal this ?" He smiled tapping his head. He didn't need to wait for an answer. Tobys guilt was written on his face "Go back and pay for it ... " He chuckled fishing for money. He never gave Toby any money however as a grotesque monstrosity came to summon them to the 'Captains tent'. No messenger that ugly ever bore good news

The Princess in her naive way seemed almost eager but Crix knew there was more troubling things afoot. No doubt the slaver he'd roughed up before had gone crying to his masters. If that was the case then they were in a small spot of bother. However dependant upon the temperament of this captain Crix felt he might get away with the old he said offensive things about a royal trick. The princess in her foolish way rushed straight off behind this Half human abomination. Crix shook his head and let his hand slip from Toby's if they were in trouble no one could know the deeper connection the two had. He tossed a bag of credits at the seller toby had robbed pointed at the hat then toby and knocked on his head whilst mouthing an apology.

Left with little choice but to follow, he gestured for the four Kallisto Guards Crix and Thais had between them to follow, better paranoid than dead. Why was nothing ever simple? None the less he was soon back at the side of the princess Toby no doubt a step behind playing the role of the humble servant. It seemed the deeper into the labyrinth of tents they got the more uncomfortable the princess became, Crix was largely unsympathetic she had after all rushed ahead. That said when she turned with a questioning look he smiled "Nothing untoward I'm sure" He lied. When he caught sight of the angry looking cyborg he gulped ... they were screwed.

The show must go on however and that meant smiles all round. "Captain, I thank you on behalf of Her Majesty the Princess Kallisto for your hospitality" He removed his hat and moved into the curtained room, the four royal guards falling in behind and standing toward the back. when bid and at the cyborgs request sat down on one of the rooms many cushions and clicked at the spot next to him indicating for Toby to sit down, affection might be off limits but closeness was not. If he was going to be killed he'd much prefer Toby be the last thing he saw. He kept from looking at Toby though, If he did he'd no doubt get distracted and things would go somewhat tits up. He felt he might well regret asking but perhaps it was best to get the captain's purpose clear early "What can we do for you ... Sir ?" He asked "Is this business or purely pleasure?" He added with a smile.

Crix really hoped it was pleasure but he knew that was unlikely.

Post 2/20

Darkgear cocked an eyebrow, then moved to a different section to shout and make noise at. Free-Eyes stayed put with his Captain, all three of his eyes trained on the tall men, taking time between fiddling with a holopad and looking at the black clad giants.

"AWROOOO! Awrooooooooo!"

A cannok came sprinting out of the corner, nearly falling over in the sand before scrambling to Vinskk, tongue flopping and eyes trained on the lizard. The beast jumped up on the Trandoshan, pelting him with sloppy kisses and more of those sounds, a mix between and howl and a whoop. Vinskk clicked lightly, his pet bringing a little joy to his otherwise stern and serious life.

"Miles, sit!"

The cannok obeyed, now eyeing the large Humans clad in black and growling. He would probably leave them alone if they didn't get too close.

Mr. Revamp now turned to the group of toughs, scowling lightly. They were clearly trying to intimidate them, but he wasn't at all scared. Vinskk was still taller than the tallest one, a giant of a man but average for a Trandoshan, and their lack of claws or teeth didn't help. He could kill them all with his natural weapons and they wouldn't be able to do anything.

But they weren't fighting, were they?

He hissed at the question the leader asked. How much? Hah! This guy didn't know a thing about buying slaves, did he? Well, no point in turning away a customer whose credits were as good as anyone's.

"Which ONE is Human interested in?"

It was one of the nuances of the Trandoshan language to put stress on a word to change the meaning of it or to apply a double meaning to the sentence. Free-Eyes snickered. He understood that his Captain just implied that the entourage was so poor, they'd only be able to buy one slave. The Gran walked forward and looked up at the leader. Unlike his boss and friend, Free-Eyes was not tall or intimidating, but he wasn't afraid either. He knew who he worked for and knew that he'd protect him.

"I'm afraid Mr. Revamp is busy administrating this whole sale, but if you'd like I could show you around and you could pick out a couple of specimens you'd be interested in purchasing."

The slavers didn't know anything about the men or their ulterior motives yet. However, just their presence and the way they operated, showing inexperience in the way of buying slaves, had triggered suspicion.

Hopefully for them, it just stayed that way.

Vinskk walked off to check on the other invited auctioneers selling slaves. They weren't necessarily part of the Hutt Cartel, but their business was still wanted, so they had to pay a fee to set up shop here, something Vinskk was going to collect now.
Free-Eyes waited for the burly men to lead the way and choose which products they were interested in while Miles the Cannok followed the Gran, still growling at the Humans.

Nar Kreeta. Now here was a world he was quite familiar with. It being a gateway world to the old Hutt space, it served that same purpose still for everyone who controlled star systems south of the Mara. That was why Black Sun moved in and took it, diplomatically in fact. It was always cheaper to talk than fight. Now the Hutts were just going to open shop and maybe plant a flag declaring they own it. Great if it worked but at least he talked to the guilds about allying with the syndicate.

Rayl stepped in to the market. Heavy smells of cooking food, dust and the unmistakable sent of commerce wafted in the air. The Cartel wanted to win the people as well as the dirt and rock under them. An unruly populace wasn't productive and thus a waste of resources. So Rayl was given the task of spending cold hard credits. People liked credits more than anything, well most did out here anyways. It was the way of Wild Space.

Lurch was not insulted by [member="Vinskk Revamp"] 's dismissal of him. Nor was he bothered by the Trandoshan's pet. On the contrary, they expected as much to be passed on to a lackey. It was the way of things and they, as well as their employer knew it.

Going into the inside pocket of his jacket, Lurch brought out a pouch. He unzipped it and allowed Free-Eyes to look inside. What he would find would be credits in what appeared to be a few hundred thousand. He never counted on this first go. His employer would let him know later on.

"This should be enough for more than a couple of.....specimens." No expression was on his face as he spoke. He then zipped up the pouch and placed it back within his jacket pocket.

Free-Eyes', um, eyes grew wide as he saw the large quantity of credits. Damn, these guys were loaded. But still, the Gran played it cool. Nothing indicated any excitement or greed in his voice or body language, although there was a bit of a glimmer in his three eyes.

"Good sirs, please, make a selection. May I recommend the Human nomadic family in lot 2A? Great household slaves, they are. Or perhaps the female Twilek tribe from Ryloth? They are exquisite, and untouched by any man. Or perhaps you would like both?"

Meanwhile...

Vinskk had just finished collecting the last of the fee from the fledgling slaver merchants that set up shop in the Bazaar. He was on his way to the makeshift tent that served as a place of operations for the Trandoshan. The Gamoarrean guards standing at attention recognized the slaver and stepped aside from the flaps of the crude leather shelter, nodding at the lizard before them as he entered.

Inside the tent, Vinskk opened a safe with a key kept on his body and dumped the credits in. It was nearly full now. If he had to guess, there was at least a million credits in there already, just the products of a few early sales and the shakeups commenced right now. This market was really booming.

The Trandoshan looked to the corner of the tent and saw his clothing hanging there, put aside for now. It was a white tunic, with loose, flowing beige silk pants and a similarly colored velvet cape. He changed then, taking off the leather jumpsuit and donning the quite impressive wardrobe.

It was time to make serious money now.

Also occuring...

At the main bidding area, where the truly impressive slaves were being auctioned, some of Vinskk's slavers had gotten the floor for a bid. They dragged an Ewok up to the stage, cursing up a storm in his language as he swung his tiny hands around, looking like a teddy bear throwing a tantrum.

The main slaver struck a gong, silencing the crowded venue momentarily. She then spoke out, commanding authority with her voice.

"Oy! Who wants an Ewok? We're starting the bid at 10,000 credits!"

The auction commenced...

(OOC: Feel free to bid for the little guy if your purchasing slaves.)

Eric strode through the crowd, dodging between blabbing idiots and even dumber slaves. His leather boot's left thin imprints upon the sandy and rocky ground, spreading around grains of the planet. His right hand was fingering a strange golden medallion within the right pocket of his leather jacket while his left hand just lay upon his left thigh calmly yet ready to grab a weapon at any chance he was able to. The fingers upon his left hand grazed the metallic side of a blaster strapped against his left thigh through the use of a leather holster. It was hard to see due to the overhead sun plus the newly earned scars upon his face, slightly blinding him due to the formation of the scars. Eric's sapphire eyes looked around cautiously, he never did like crowed and ever since the assassination attempt upon his life when he was younger, it had always put him on edge in crowds and small groups alike. His ears caught the noise of a overly loud Slaver and his eyes caught the sight of the woman with a few slaves and a ewok, perfect!

Eric strode through the crowd at a quicker pace as to get towards the wooden stage holding up the slaver along with a multitude of slaves. As he walked, the folds of his leather jacket stretched outwards revealing what he was wearing under the jacket. Eric wore a black slugthrower-proof vest with a sand-camp longs-leave shirt under the vest, a black holster was attached to the right side of the vest where a combat-knife was held. Eric's piercing sapphire eyes finally looked upwards at the slaver as he made his way to the front of the crowd, his boots finally making a stop of that cursed trudging sound that boots made when walking quickly. Eric wanted the Ewok to for one thing, free labor...plus their was a multitude of other slaves which he could waste his money upon.
"I'll take the Ewok for 28K Credits.."

"Prin-cess Kallisto," he worked the name through his voxbox with a distance and coldness, stretching the syllables were not necessary and putting emphasis on the pause between. "welcome to the lounge please help yourself. I hear the candied star fish is to 'die' for, while I myself have been unable to try I'm sure you'll enjoy it for the both of us." he paused for a moment, than another before snatching a cigar from neighbouring tray held aloft by a glassy eyed slave, he removed the head of the tube with a diagonal stroke from his index finger, a sharp cruel scalpel of a digit. "What can you do for me, and is it business or pleasure." he lit the cigar from a near by brazier again held aloft by another slave. "With guests like you how could it not be both."

"You look a little pale, I hope you don't think I called you in here cause of the commotion outside, I'd have half the bazaar in here if I pulled everyone who argued with the hands." the cigar started to fizzle and pop, the grey silver touched smoke began to touching the boarder of his figure in small hands of tendrils, he rolled it from one finger to the next. "You're in the market for slaves I hear, you should have called ahead I wouldn't of had you in the elements longer than it took you to get here, so what are you interested in."

Objective: 1 and 4 Assume rulership over Nar Kreeta, persuade local hutt rulers to join the cartel

Sempra held his court inside a massive domed tent, just near the bazaar. He had arranged the massive bazaar for two reasons. The obvious one was why most were here. Sell and buy slaves.
But what some might not reflect upon was the gathering that was assembling inside the main tent.

Nar Kreeta was a world that had been under hutt dominance for a very long time and its local crime lords were of the hutt species in an abundance. The world had seen its ups and downs but the hutts had remained its constant rulers and protectors. It was even the hutts who had returned after the vong invasion to see the world restored. Such was the value of Nar Kreeta to the Hutts.

While keeping an eye on a screen displaying numbers from the bazaar in hutteese - Sempra had not yet shown himself in the open here. He left the public appearance of the cartel leadership in the firm hands of [member="Flannigan Mcnash"] and [member="Vinskk Revamp"] for the time being. When the time came and the people would wish to see their majestic supreme Mogul he might change that tactic, but not for now.

In the shadow of the tent he turned his attention to the hutts gathered in a circle. They were all brought lavish food and drinks imported from all corners of the galaxy and prepared by the fameous [member="Jemba Jurga Vara"]

Every desire was to be satisfied and Sempra made no small effort to show of his incredible wealth to his fellow hutts. It was a gesture that Hutts respected. Wealth equaled power and Sempra wanted the hutts on Nar Kreeta to openly accept the Hutt cartel as their protector. Thus putting him as the one who would pull the strings on this world as well.

For the time being he was giving them time to enjoy the setting and chat with each other while he prepared for his offer.

If anyone want to introduce a hutt, new or old to the cartel, this is a good opportunity ;)

"Going once, going twice, sold! To the gentleman there!"

The gong was struck again and the Ewok was hauled over, writhing and squirming, to [member="Eric Quill"]. The female slaver opened her hand for the credits. When the transaction was complete, the key to the fetters of the slave would be handed over and the teddy bear would be his.

Meanwhile, on the flip side...

Vinskk walked out of the tent, dressed for success with those handsome clothes. Well, at least as handsome as a Trandoshan can get. He nodded to the Gamoarrean guards, who resumed their vigor over the important structure. As the lizard was walking back to his reserved area, his comlink beeped and chirped, indicating an incoming call. Revamp answered it.

"Mr. Revamp, we got a Wampa."

It was Free-Eyes, letting Vinskk know that a big purchase was going down. Wampas were large creatures, so thks indicated that the amount of credits in question was huge. The alien had said this in Gran, making the code even harder for the black clad men next to him to understand.

The Trandoshan clicked in pleasure at the big sale that was going to go down according to his first mate.

"Advertise large groups. Make sure they leave with a couple of families and tribes. How much do they have?"

Free-Eyes heard all this in his earpiece, making his boss's reply inaudible to them.

"A lot. I'll let them know you're on your way."

The call ended. The Gran slicer nodded courteously to the entourage of frightening men before him and spoke in Basic now.

"This transaction is rather large, so Mr. Revamp is on his way now to oversee it. Please continue looking at any wares that may interest you. If I may ask, what in particular are you looking for? Labor, comfort, domestic, or a little bit of all of these?"

Vinskk was on his way over, cape fluttering in the stifling, dusty breeze, matching the sandy ground perfectly.

Miles the Cannok had not stopped growling at the Humans, and was now even yapping at the intimidating thugs if they got too close. Something was obviously tripping off his senses, but it was beginning to bother the Gran.

"Miles, be quiet!", he commanded in Dosh, the language that Vinskk had trained him in and the only one he would respond to.

The cannok whined, displeased by the three eyed alien's command. He stayed quiet, still staring at the men threateningly.

Vinskk arrived in the caged area where the group was, looking different in his nice wardrobe. He nodded to Free-Eyes first and then turned to the leader, Lurch, offering what was seen as a crocodile smile.

"Gentlemen. Forgive me for my departure earlier, but I had some business to attend to. Now that it is concluded, I can help service you. Don't be shy. Please, pick a ware or a group package and we may discuss a transaction."

Vinskk said all of this in elegant Basic, something he had refined as his role as more than just a meager slaver was coming to a close. He conveniently forgot to mention that the Trandoshan thought that they were broke and only here to buy a couple of slaves. But now that he knew they were here for a big purchase...

Well, they had his attention.

Objective: D - Erect a Distribution Center
Location: Nihass - Construction Site
Posts: [02/20]

Hegemonic Automaton distribution centers were essentially little fortified shopping complexes. With a built in shield generator and a couple of light weapons emplacements, they made for adequate defenses against most threats. It would hardly be enough to stall a total invasion or military operation, but those defenses coupled with the eighty security droids at each site would make petty criminals and minor pirates think twice before attempting something violent. Some local governments were skeptical of a private company maintaining such elaborate defenses in their neighborhood. All that really meant for Hegemonic Automaton was that a few more palms needed to be greased before everything was set up.

These distribution centers hadn't always been shopping complexes. That had been a recent development, as of a deal reached with Santhe and Saiba. Now those two other corporations would sell their products, mostly their civilian articles and whatever guns were legal for purchase in the general sector. This was also extended to local companies around the area the distribution center was erected. It would not be long until a few of Nihass' food chains or retail manufacturers also tried to buddy up with Hegemonic Automaton and their shiny new mall complex. There was no better place to conduct business with that peace of mind.

Naturally they would be charged rent. Nothing too severe, but shield generators didn't pay for themselves.

Ashalah stood sharply by Sempra's side, scanning the interior of the tent. Everything seemed stable, nothing out of place, no threats looming. She watched the Hutt Council chatter in their native tongue, gorging themselves on food, ordering their own slaves around. Ashalah knew the system well. And the Hutt's were likely to know her reason for being in the private tent. She appeared to be nothing more than a body guard, but she had a primary set of objectives that wasn't watching for danger.

She picked up odd bits of conversation; things that the Council probably didn't know she could understand. Words of opposition made her turn her head towards a certain @Guckla the Hutt. Stepping forward into Sempra's field of vision, she gave him a respectful bow. Upon straightening, she left the tent for her own business.

Eric grinned at the news that he had won that small dirty brown ewok slave. One down, many, many more to go...he would have to find somewhere to buy Slaves in bulk..somewhere. Eric reached his left hand into the left pocket of his leather jacket and pulled out a handful of credits and then deposited it into the slaver's hand along with grabbing three more and depositing it onto the pile. Twenty-Eight thousand credits exact, that was the deal that he had proposed. Eric nodded to the Slaver as the final credits clanged onto the pile. He then folded his arms upon his chest and awaited for the conformation of the slave, so that he could take the ewok to his tent and place it within a cage...such was the way of slaves. Slaves didn't deserve freedom, like clones didn't. Eric had learned that lesson once animals tried to maul up his face when he was trying to save a clone refugee. That would never happen again, he would a clone or slaves life for granted...after all, they were just work labor. Eric clawed his fingers slowly upon the sleeve of his jacket as he awaited the slaver's response. The sandy winds then slowly began to pick up for a few minutes before dying down again.

Naturally Toby was more than willing to turn around and pay for the hat he had snatched, though he was somewhat disappointed in himself for showing up his Master in such a way. Before anything could be done however the trio's attention was caught and Toby watched as the Princess hurried on ahead. Oh dear, this might not end too well! Looking to Crix as his lover tossed the merchant some coins, Toby hastily tugged at his hand and tipped his head in the direction that the Lady had gone. Toby did not wish any ill on his Master's employer, in fact he had a soft spot for the helpless. Perhaps that was why he couldn't bear to see Nima harmed.

Moving on through the crowd the pair quickly caught up with the Princess, who had seemingly learned the error of her ways and now bid Crix to go ahead. Naturally Toby hung back - he was, after all, a slave among slavers - until Crix made a sharp gesture. Not one to deny his Master, Toby moved to his side and knelt there the way he always would, rather than sitting on the plush cushions, and kept his gaze averted. His head would've been entirely bowed were he not trying to ensure the Princess' safety from the corner of his eye. He knew that she had her own guards but he couldn't help himself, not when the place they were in gave him such uncomfortable chills.

He did not trust this place or the strangers within it one bit. But what could a lowly servant like himself do?

Even though Princess Kallisto's dress was light-weight, her skin began to glisten with sweat, and her face turned crimson with the heat. While the Captain's Lounge was probably the coolest area of Nar Kreeta, it was too stifling for the young noblewoman.

"I'm sweltering! Where is Miss Janine?" exclaimed Thais. Her current handmaiden scuttled over with a paper fan and began fanning the Princess.

Suddenly, she noticed the droid talking. Or was he part organic? She coughed at the faint smell of cigar smoke, which caused Miss Janine to fan harder. Crix probably sighed with relief knowing they were not in trouble over his earlier show of brute force. Princess Kallisto decided to rest on a mountain of soft and brocaded pillows, while Miss Janine fetched the candied starfish that the cyborg had said were so delicious. Thais glanced over at her courtier and then back at Mcnash, satisfied to take the lead as usual.

"I have a couple of needs," she said. With her finger she traced one a pattern on a rust-colored pillow "I have contracts across the galaxy for slave labor," she said. "Other mines require my help in return for ore and other valuables. Mr. Meriet here helps supply them, but our network has grown so that not even he can keep up. Specifically on Muunilinst and Mustafar, I'll need miners."

She picked up the candied starfish, smelled it and then put it back down on the plate with a grimace.

"I'm also looking for a young handmaiden, which I will take back to Isis today if I can find someone suitable and the price is right."

Crix just smiled. He didn't like this he didn't like this at all. He nodded at the offer of these starfish which were to die for "My digestive system never agrees with seafood stuff reacts like poison to me ... I feel my mother might be to blame. The comment that the endeavor was for both business and pleasure didn't sit well either . This captain didn't ring well with him but it seemed the noble princess was oblivious more concerned with fans and such triviality. He just rolled his eyes ... such a pretty little fool. She was even going to eat this fish, fish which was to 'die' for. Well Crix supposed there were worse ways to go and he would need to see her off eventually. She was becoming interstellar and that meant his kind were going to grow unfavourable to her.

Then she stopped, well that wasn't so big an issue either.

Then talk progressed to the slimeball he'd roughed up, he forced a laugh. Fake and uncertain "He spoke offensively of Her grace ... I couldn't let that slide but I'm sure we will be good chums again before long" He lied, as soon as he got out of this market place that slaver would be eating his own teeth. None the less the princess prattled on about her needs and crix just nodded along. The longer he sat the more he missed toby, the 5 centimeters between him and his Love where the biggest 5 centimeters Crix had ever felt. His toby was no doubt concerned about all the danger in this tent, he always seemed extremely averse to weapons and was doing a good job of acting calm. Finally Crix could take it no longer and he spoke in an intentionally loud whisper "Toby my back hurts ... fix it now" He tried his best to sound detached but perhaps he failed. He had to do it though Physical contact would likely soothe both slave and master and if Toby was behind Crix he might have chance to escape if things did go sour.

(Edited in to reflect [member="Flannigan Mcnash"]'s recent post)

Crix's eyes steeled as this cyborg monstrosity spoke of his darling Toby. That struck a nerve but to react with action would cause trouble so Crix calm as he could answered this captains questions. "His Name is Toby , I 'broke' him as you say and he isn't for sale at any price" Crix clenched his fist, what was it with these people and trying to snatch his beauty away. He wanted to go back to his bed immediately but alas he doubted he would be able to for a long time.

"What's this ones name." he folded back in on himself, the chair regaining size as the cyborg started shrinking to more bulky frame than that of the lithe and spindly form he had use to gain a better view of the slave. "Who broke him," he paused dabbing the smoldering debri from his cigar with a wave. "Half a million credits for him."

After the answer, "Any particular species, and of what quality." he answered [member="Thais Kallisto"], directing his attention with a mechanical buzz and hum from some inner sprockets and springs, and the tiny pistons that chattered with his movement. "We have everything, I believe we even got a Wompa recently, I can't interest you in a snow Wookie, rare and good for tourneys. In fact you could enter him as your champion to the upcoming Hutt sponsored tournament." he adjusted his belt removing a slender tube, he moved it on his finger' with half feigned interest threading it between the large and pointed digits, it was a light-saber. He rattled it about clicked the button and nothing happened, even a small rattle could be heard loose debri and metal within, "Personally I'm planning to enter a jedi in it, horrible slaves but as a show of power none better. Toby was just about to drop his wary gaze away from the Princess when the woman reached for one of the delicacies which had been described as to die for. He knew she was still a child, for all intents and purposes, but was she truly that naive? His body rose just an inch, ready to knock the dish from her hand at a moment's notice. His jaw tensed and his hand lifted but before he could swat them away the girl decided that they didn't look quite so appetizing and dropped the sticky treat from her fingers.

Exhaling very subtly, Toby immediately dropped his gaze and bowed his head. He hoped that nobody had seen his veiled attempts at protecting the Princess, it was not his place. And he didn't want to come across as too obvious in his distrust.

Thankfully Crix was there to cover for him, whether he realised it or not. For no sooner had he bowed his head then he was being ordered to relieve the tension from his Master's back. Without a word the slave half-rose, trying to keep himself unnoticed, and resituated himself behind Crix. Keeping to a very professional act, Toby immediately began to work his fingers into the muscles in order to loosen the knots. Of course, like his Master Toby enjoyed the physical contact between them. His expression was lifeless, however, he played his role perfectly as ever.

At the mention of a price in exchange for Toby he could feel Crix tense beneath his deft fingers. Bringing his hands up Toby rubbed at the man's shoulders, making it look like part of his routine, though in truth he was trying to keep the anger from bubbling over. Crix had to remain calm and composed, they were outnumbered in here and it wouldn't take long for the enforcers to arrive. It was one thing to attack a slaver for stepping out of line, and another to attack one of the king-pins.

He found himself able to walk now, while still seeing through the Force. He was glad that there were so many Force users following him, he could sense them easily. He spoke as he turned to look upon them in all their dark glory. "All close your eyes and use the Force to see. Allow the Force to show you the world around you."

He waited patiently, watching as a few people seemed to look around, he couldn't see if their eyes were closed, but the way they acted seemed to indicate as such. Others seemed to shake their heads in failure, while others stayed still. Rafeesh was glad to see the work being accomplished. He looked forward to teaching these men other things, it would take time, but then all things did. These soldiers would become strong, they would become capable of killing their enemies. He intended on teaching them, making them be the strongest they could be. He didn't pretend to think he could outwit his master, he would not subvert Mythos. He didn't even know the extent of the loyalties these men held. They were strong and made good followers, but he did not know if he could turn them.

He decided to focus on honing his own abilities. He had to become better at this ability to see through the Force. He could not allow them to be stronger than him, that would show weakness and perhaps fail his master. He wondered, he had not been to Korriban since his awakening, he wondered what was left. Surely the Sith held the planet still. That was their birth place, their place of infinite power. To lose that would be a blow that would resound through their power. Maybe his master would let him travel there, go see the old temple. He would have to ask, but not now, he had to finish this task first.

"Our employer was not specific. We don't ask questions. We just take orders."

Lurch looked down to [member="Vinskk Revamp"] 's pet and merely growled back. Two could play at that game. Then his attention was turned to Vinskk himself. A change of clothing? Wonder what brought that on....

"We can take up to twenty on our ship for today. What can you offer and we can barter on the price."

The other men just kept to their places and watched. Some of them cast their eyes around as if expecting something. The slave bazaar was getting busier. That could be a good thing.

In the auction area...

The female slaver smiled and put the credits into a pouch, then produced a document and folded it. She then pulled a key out of a pocket, then handed both to [member="Eric Quill"] with two grimy hands.

"Here you are, sir. This key is for a holding cage, number 12, provided free of charge by Semper Slaves Incorporated. You should find the cells to your right. Thank you for your business."

Back to Vinskk and the transaction about to go down...

The Trandoshan blinked, studying the Human. Well, he wasn't going to ask questions. He could only work with what little information these shady individuals gave him, or at least with what their employer fed them.

"Twenty slaves. There is a tribe of savages from Dathomir, I believe. Zabraks, I believe their race is called? War captives from a tribe. Hardy species. Good labor. And their number would fit your specifications exactly."

Revamp led the group, including Free-Eyes and Miles, to a better view of a specific pen. Through the meshed wire of the fence, Lurch could see a huddled mass of about 20 tattooed Zabraks squatting in the dirt of the ground, giving frightened glances to the group now before them.

"They are a good lot. Strong, used to work. But I could part with them for about 500,000 credits."

The Slave Master said this casually in elegant Basic, almost as if simply discussing the selling of a vacuum or a lawn mower, all while looking into Lurch's eyes, unblinking.

His voice may have given off an air of civility and class, but you could see the monster inside just from the way he stared at you, the beast that downright enjoyed this line of work, the science of ruining lives and of inflicting misery and pain unto others. It was that cold as ice look that gave it away that this Trandoshan was far from your average slaver.

No, he was something much more.

Back in the Auction House...

The stage was once again dominated by Revamp's slavers, this time hauling a Gungan to the platform. There were four men total, one to restrain the tall creature and the others to constantly keep the amphibious creature moist in the dry desert heat, a far cry from the natural climate it was used to.

The same female slaver who headed the Ewok purchase went up again, banging the gong. The area went silent yet again as she smiled and yelled out.

"Who wants a Gungan?! Starting bid at 40,000 credits!"
