Indestructible (completed)

She was hesitant but the truth was she needed him.

"Well then who I am I to deny the Shukalar" She knew that they both needed this reconnection, this physical connection his beating at the hands of the woman had taken much from them both. They each needed to feel the love and passion that they shared for one another. Faith tried her best to be gentle hungry kisses trailing down his neck across his chest, as her finger tips glided across his skin.

She looked up to see his gaze upon her watching her as she moved his need his desires reflected there, his hands guiding her, "Ner runi" she whispered. Her soul without him life would surely drift into the void bereft of emotion and hollow.

A time later

Faith lay beside Draco a bit breathless but finally content. She turned her head, "I know you're not perfect Draco, and the Mandalorians are directly opposite of Alderaan peace." She exhaled hard, "And there are those that will say we are a contradiction" She laughed even as her hand laid over his heart. "I know that you have done evil things, some of which is very hard to understand." A touch of sadness was hinted in her voice.

"But that is in the past, I won't hold it against you. But it is part of you, we need to both accept that. Going to your home, will begin that for us both. I need it as much as you."

She pushed up her dark hair framing her face, "Draco I love you so much it hurts. When you hurt, I hurt." What was she trying to say. They were in it together, always. Otherwise they could lose one another.

Draco breathed heavily, each breath causing a sharp stabbing sensation to radiate from his ribs. He hadn't noticed it until now, until she was lying beside him, a thin sheen of sweat covering the both of them. He did his best to ignore it, but without her actively distracting him, it was noticeable. "Well, you are perfect Cyar'ika." He said between breaths as she laid her hand on his chest. He smiled at her and propped himself up just a little, leaning over her and resting his head on her chest.

"Yes, there will always be someone upset you've chosen me, and I'm sure there is some woman out there jealous of you. Maybe." He laughed gently as he slipped his arms around her and under her, using her chest like a pillow. "So long as you are happy, so long as you love me. I don't care. I just want to be with you, be the one you love. I want to retire young and raise our children together, and make love under the moon light well into our old age, when you are still drop dead gorgeous and I am well past my prime." Images of that life flashed in his mind as he closed his eyes comfortably.

"We will go back to my first home and say goodbye, and then I can show you around Phelar for a little while. Then we will come home for the wedding and pre-wedding arrangements. Yes?" He asked softly. Ana would have to provide them with a ship and some supplies, ensure their was a doctor going with them just in case as she was getting to the point where they wouldn't be travelling much. Probably the wedding and then the honeymoon would be all they would go until the twins were born.

His muscles bunched and coiled as he pulled her gently to him, laying on her comfortably, tickling her with his whiskers and feeling the bumps of their twins in her belly just a little bit. He was happy, and hopefully they could be happy together for a long time. He just didn't want to dream about anyone but her. In the morning they would leave, and spend the trip in each others arms, much like they were now. Almost inseparable, but then again, Draco was needy.

[member="Faith Organa"]

"All I want is you, our children, and the life we've planned. all the other things are just things. And let every woman be jealous then for they did not see what I saw, what I still see" She lifted a hand to place against his cheek. If he only knew could he feel that within her the love the felt. Could he tell how much it had grown since that first weekend at the Lake.

Oh if he did not know she would spend a lifetime making sure he knew, "Yes tomorrow we will go and you will show me what help to craft the man that will stand beside me for a lifetime."

Faith then snuggled as close as she could get to Draco laying there new born again renewed in their love for one another. The tickle of his whiskers, the way his hair fell over his shoulders, the gleam in his eyes that spoke directly to her soul, and that hint of smile that said more to her than anything else. Yes they were physically attractive and attracted to one another, but more than this she wanted. She wanted to be able to give him advice to share in things as he shared in her life.

How to do that though, that was still the one thing between them, how to mesh their lives

She wouldn't fret tonight now, tonight was just them.

Tomorrow was another day....they'd take the ship,, travel and she would see where his story began.

[member="Draco Vereen"]

The dim light of dawn pierced the windows of the room Faith and Draco lay in, snuggled beside one another, wrapped up in each others arms. After a while, Draco rose from the bed for the first time in a while and took a shower, letting Faith sleep in some while he inspected his injuries for himself. He was getting stronger and better, every day he was recovering more and more.

Ana had found them a ship and made the arrangements for them to travel, though Draco didn't expect they would be gone long. Only a day or two in Phelar, long enough to do some sight seeing and visit his childhood homes. Maybe go see the grave markers depending on how he felt after seeing the home. He knew they existed, he had been told when it happened, he had just never went and visited them, instead he buried them deep down in his chest, banished their memories. That had been one of the stones that had fallen and caused the avalanche that was his fall to the Dark Side. Now it was time for him to put all those things to rest, so that when his fight was done, he could have his peace with Faith and their children.

Draco looked forward to that especially. Sitting in the floor with his children, getting old with Faith, not having to pick up his sword and his helmet every few days and walk through the door knowing that he might not come back, might leave them for the rest of their lives, to go fight. Yes, he fought for them, so that they would have a better life than he had, but it was still a risk he didn't enjoy taking. He enjoyed fighting, he thrived in the chaos of battle, but he wanted Faith more than that. More than any of that. He wanted to hang up his sword for years. Even the rest of his life if need be. With the Crusade drawing to its completion, the Warlord had his opportunity to do just that. His clan didn't need him. His people didn't need him. His company didn't need him. Only Faith did now.

As he turned off the steaming water he wrapped a towel around himself and walked back out into the bedroom, still bruised and banged up, but feeling much better. He could see her dark brown curls sprawled on the bed, feel the three of them contentedly resting. "Morning Cyar'ika." He said softly as he sat on the edge of the bed beside her, his muscles bunching slightly as a small jolt of pain pinched his ribs. His hand touched her belly, feeling the twins resting. "I spoke with Ana and all the arrangements have been made. All we have to do is get dressed and get to the ship." He smiled at her, shaking his head so that his hair wasn't in his face.

The night had passed too swiftly when the first streaks of the morning break through the windows Faith reached out to find Draco gone. Sleepy she slowly opened her eyes making sure she hadn't just missed him but no he was gone.

Slowly she rolled over taking another deep breath, she could hear the refresher running. She smiled it was good to hear him up and about. The lingering memory of the day before made her warm, each tender kiss she could still feel, every touch that sent a shiver down her spine, but it was his eyes always the way he looked at her.

He made her feel precious and loved. She closed her eyes remembering it all.

When he sat down on the bed she could feel the weight change, slowly opening her eyes to see him. She caught her breath, goddess look at him she thought. How I love this man who only seeks to make me happy.

He lovingly touched her stomach, yes the twins were awake. Slowly she sat up leaning towards him just so she could look at him. She reached over and pushed the drenched locks back. "Morning cyar'ika". Yes Beloved he was loved. Sometimes she didn't know how to show him how much.

She hoped that this journey they were on would give her opportunity to show him. It was nice that they exchanged gifts, but for them it was their time together that they built the foundation of the relationship on. Their ability to talk to one another about anything, their desires to touch in reassurance, their need to feel the other close by, and their time apart created terrible longing within them as if the separation had divided them in half and only when together were they whole.

"Well I guess I should get up, and get ready. Should I take princess dress outfits, or more pants shirts clan Vereen outfits?"

[member="Draco Vereen"]

"Hmmm, how about just one princess dress just in case. Pack mostly as a civilian. I don't want to draw too much attention to us like other trips we've taken." He grinned, but given their very recent adventures on Nar Shaddaa they wouldn't be travelling as light as they had then. A few extra guards on hand, someone to keep watch over them while they were in public and vulnerable. And Draco let his guard down around Faith often.

He patted her belly gently feeling the twins move around as he shifted on the bed so she could get up. "Yes, I suppose you should get up and get ready. I'll see to the ship and the entourage and all that. I need to stretch my legs some anyway." He stood and stretched his arms above his head so she could see the definition of his chest and abdomen clearly, flashing her a sly smile as he did. He knew she enjoyed his physique, just like he enjoyed hers. It wasn't the only thing they enjoyed about each other, but it didn't hurt to appreciate it the gifts they had.

"But I don't have to get dressed just yet." He smiled, interlocking his fingers and pressing his arms as far backwards as he could, letting her see his back muscles. He held the pose for a minute and then relaxed, looking around for some shorts to put on so he could go about their business and get everything in order for their trip to Eriadu. There was a lot he had to prepare mentally as well. He hadn't ever confronted the loss of his family before, and it wasn't something he had a great deal of experience with. Yes he had lost before, but never anyone he grew up with, he looked up to his entire childhood. It was going to be an ordeal to go through for him and he was glad Faith would be coming along.

[member="Faith Organa"]

Faith laid there for a minute she would have to admit that she did enjoy the view and he was doing quite the job of impressing upon her how well he kept himself.

If anyone in the galaxy knew it was her, definition, strength, scars, a few boo boo's and the hint that he was taken showing on his back. There was no mistake that she enjoyed him to the point of exhaustion for them both. She loved and adored him.

She smiled when he turned his back to her, she tried very hard not to giggle. Instead she got up stood behind him and did her own muscle man pose, waiting for him to catch her.

The other thing about their relationship they could be themselves with each other and she hoped that Draco remembered that she knew what it was like to lose family. She would be his strength during this time, if she never said a word he would know through her touch he was not alone in this.

The twins moved around as if sensing the playful mood it was the oddest of feelings to have life move within you. She could feel tiny hands or feet as they stretched and rolled. She couldn't wait to see how her muscle man was with the tiny babes cradled in his arms.

There was nothing quite so profound as to look into the face of a child and know that you played a role in their creation, that they were you and more. They would have an entire galaxy to learn about.

[member="Draco Vereen"]

Draco relaxed his pose and turned, bursting out with laughter seeing his very pregnant princess posing much like he was, showing off her muscles. It wasn't that she was devoid of muscles, in fact before her pregnancy she had a very tight figure, and though some of that was hidden by the babies, not all of it. It was simply a comical sight, teasing him like she did, keeping him somewhat humble. "Haha," he said, wiping his eyes and standing back up straight, still smiling from her joke.

"Ah, you are silly cyar'ika. I try to show off all my hard work for you to enjoy, and you tease me." He grinned playfully, very obviously feigning hurt. He clutched his chest, and playfully prodded her gently. "You are lucky your pose was very pretty, otherwise I might not have been so distracted." Draco grinned, teasing her back, trying to act like he hadn't laughed at her joke. His eyes glinted in the light and his body language was suggestive.

"You should take a shower, and maybe while you do I will make some poses behind you." Draco grinned, ushering her towards the fresher playfully even though it hadn't been that long ago. Draco and Faith were very passionate, but that was good. They were very comfortable around each other, and they had done a lot together. He hoped to ensure her that it wasn't just her physical appearance, though she was gorgeous and always would be as far as he was concerned, but also just her that he loved.

[member="Faith Organa"]

"Oh really you feel that good do you?" she grinned and then moved towards the refresher, "I'm game if you are" With that she disappeared she knew he would follow and make good on his threat.

She waited inside preparing the water and making sure it was a tolerable temperature. She was glad he was feeling better, glad he seemed to be moving towards being more himself than hurt, and questioning.

She had not mentioned to him that he spoke in his sleep, he knew she knew he dreamed and struggled in the dreams. She wanted to wait until he was ready, until he was stronger to question him. Going to his home would open those opportunities though she believed it would all come out naturally without prodding and prompting. She knew her dragon, and when he was ready it would all come forth.

If anything she was the single person in the galaxy that he could share anything with, and he would.

"Dracooooooo" she called to him.....

[member="Draco Vereen"]

"No, but I've not been one to back down from a challenge before. And I've never been known to refuse you either." He grinned at her, watching her slip into the refresher before he rolled his shoulders. He was only partially injured by now, but it did hold him back some. Not enough to keep him from accepting her offer and making good on his threat. "I'm coming ner runi." He answered as she called to him from the fresher, steam wafting from the door ever so slightly. He slipped into the warm room, "See, I brought you a towel." and closed the door behind him.

Sometime Later

Draco spoke with the doctor and medical droid that would be accompanying them to Eriadu, to ensure he recovered properly, as his ribs had started hurting after Faith and Draco's shower, and just in case they needed them for the twins. "You just need to take it easy for a few more days, don't over exert yourself and you should be fine."

"I think over exerting isn't the term I would use for what happened." He smiled, and nodded to them both. This time, rather than just Captain Lindsey and Ana, they would be travelling with a retinue of Aldera Royal Guards and a small group of retainers, like the doctor and Ana. Included in their number was one of the warriors from his clan, an elderly Skald brought along to keep Draco informed, but for the most part, he was just added security.

Draco walked down the ramp and over to the ready room that had been made available to he and Faith. "Alright, the ship is loaded and luggage has been taken aboard. All they are waiting on is us." He smiled at her and walked to right in front of where she was seated, looking down at her as he held his hand so she could take it and he could help her to her feet. Her brown hair was brushed and clean, styled even, framing her face. Her cheeks natural color was accented by some light make-up, and her bright, shining brown eyes melted him when her eyes met his, staring up at him from the edge of the sofa in the ready room. "But we could make them wait." he stuttered out as he looked at her, his eyes caught in her trap.

[member="Faith Organa"]

The pair were always amorous with one another their longing for one another eclipsed any lovers known in history. She couldn't help it he and all his warrior glory, every hour he spent keeping fit paid off his muscles were thick and flexible. She took great pleasure in caressing and stroking every inch from head to toe.

Yes.

Ugh, and now she was growing round. No fluffy but he said that day at the lake he would love her even when she was fluffy. She could see his love in his eyes every time he looked at her. It was more than the commitment of a life together between the, it was how they interacted, how they moved when around each other, how every fleeting glance was only a hint at the heat that passed between them whenever they were together.

"As much as I would enjoy seeing the flush on your skin our rooms on the ship are infinitely more comfortable." She wanted to make up for lost time, she took his hand and stood up. She smiled that come hither grin at him, as she passed by him she leaned over and whispered "I love how you roar". She held his hand tightly half turning to look at him as she stood near his shoulder.

"We have a bit of a flight, perhaps you'd like to play checkers, or some other game of chance with me. "

If there was any trap here she may be the bait that brought him in, but in truth they were tied one to the other. The one person who could be held hostage for the other, nothing would she not give for him, if they had nothing she would still want him.

The way his eyes danced over her, appreciated her form, the lust that dripped from his words as he held her tightly, the way he fit into her life, helped and put her needs her planet's needs above his own, all of that she could not live without, she could not live without him.

"Are you ready ner Drahr?"

[member="Draco Vereen"]

Draco loved Faith. Every curve, every hair, every sultry look she gave him, day in and day out. The softness and warmth of her skin against his own, how she teased him, how she caressed him. In truth, a large part of why he exercised so vigorously and often was to continue to see her stare at him the way he lost himself gazing upon her. He knew she would love him anyway, but he wanted to be able to stop her mid-sentence like she was able to do to him, just by removing his shirt. He could see, and he could feel how she loved him. It was present in everything she did, how she fawned over him when they laid together, how she worried over him whenever he was out of sight, how every glance she sent in his direction radiated affection and attraction.

"I make no promises. I'm still recovering, so I might not be able to keep up." He grinned, but he spoke truthfully. His ribs were still sore, and his hands still had aches from where they had been broken and set, bacta working on him, but it took its time to fully heal him. "A game of chance?" He asked, hearing the playfulness in her voice. "That depends on what I get if I win, and what I have to do if I lose." Draco responded with a gentle prod to her backside, following her closely. Draco was more than happy to let her lead him about.

Without a war or pressing enemy to fight, the Mandalorians had little need for him. Any responsibility he had to the clans, he could accomplish from Alderaan with ease. And his responsibilities to Alderaan required his presence. His responsibility to Faith, first and foremost, required him to be present. She would find in the near future that she would become the center of his universe, and there would be so few distractions from her that he would allow.

"Maybe." He answered cheerfully as he led her onboard the ship they would take to Eriadu. There was a significant flight to get there that they could spend together, all alone, but once they did he suspected they would be somber until after they left the planet behind.

[member="Faith Organa"]

She was not sure how exactly this trip was to go, she only understood that Eriadu had shaped Draco and hurt him. She did not need the force to know that the scars that it left on him were deep she could only hope that a visit there and learning more would help him, and help her to help him through this time where the past tugged so hard at him.

She smiled as he took her hand walking with her into the ship, as soon as they were inside and seated. Faith had given up on the practice of telling them to just go, no one slip of her foot and she not only risked harm to herself but to the children.

She settled into a comfortable seat and watched Draco, his body language and his eyes would tell her more than his words. He was practiced at controlling himself but she had after this time found ways to pick out the other subtle behaviors that told her the truth.

She needed him this was very true, she needed him for many things but first he needed her for this trip, for comfort that he could only find with her.

"So where did you say we would go first when we get there?"

[member="Draco Vereen"]

Draco smiled at Faith, settling into a chair beside her. He did need her, always. When she was around he could be comfortable, let his guard down, be just himself with her, for her and only her. She was the port he could always go to when the seas of his mind stormed strongest, and with her he could always find peace.

"Well, how about Phelar, and we can see what's left of where I grew up. I haven't looked into it yet, but I know my way around enough I should be able to find where it used to be if its not there anymore." That thought had occurred to him a few times, but he was still sure he could gain some closure just visiting the place, seeing it, and saying goodbye. What he really wanted was to recognize and close that chapter of his life, to stop leaving it buried in the pit of his mind, but he did not want to change how he was now.

Faith loved how he was now, stable for the most part, confident. Draco wanted to remain that way, and to do that he felt he needed to open up all the chapters he had kept hidden from everyone, even himself. "Faith, I wanted to tell you about my dream." He said somberly. She had asked, he had brushed her away. He could not keep her, his love at arms length and still claim to love and to trust her. "It was about something that happened while I was a slave in the spice mines on Kessel."

He looked around the room, glancing away, keeping from making eye contact with her for too long. "I was young, and stupid, and they kept us in chains of ten, all shackled together to keep us from being able to do too much. Easy to subdue ten people at a time that way, and more was a little dangerous. Anyways, one day, my chain gang got sent to the deeper parts of the mine, where the spiders roamed. The person on the end got grabbed and started being pulled away off into the darkness. The next person was screaming, but stopped, and the third was shouting. There was a girl on that side of me. She and I were friendly with each other. Her arms were pulled taunt, one side had six of us trying to keep the spider from dragging us all away, the other side had a spider on the end yanking on the chain. We were scared, malnourished, weak. It was winning." His eyes watered around the edges and his voice creaked a little bit. "We slid down a few meters as it dragged us down, and I stopped near a power shovel. I could hear her begging me not to let her go and I kept telling her I wouldn't, so I grabbed up the shovel, felt around in the dark where for the chain, and the spider jerked us again. The person chained to her other side stopped shouting all of a sudden, and I knew what that meant, and I cut her arm off at the wrist, just as I did the guards turned a spotlight on us, and I saw her face as she could see what was happening, that I was cutting her off from the rest of us, disappearing off into the darkness with the spider. I couldn't forget that face for months, and then one day... I couldn't anymore. Couldn't even describe her well. And then, after Nar Shaddaa, I remembered it for the first time in a long time." He met her eyes again, looking to see her reaction to his recounting of what happened, whether she would sympathize with him, whether she would hate him for it.

[member="Faith Organa"]

She knew that this trip would bring up memories she had not really expected that it would start quite so soon. He was always honest even if sometimes it was brutally so. He was after all a mandalorian, former slave, and thankfully former sith.

She expected stories that reflected his former way of life, but she believed he had grown beyond that, everything he did around her suggested this. So when he started talking about his home, and his past she put on her best listening face and did just that.

Faith had no idea what it was like to live as Draco had, to live, or exist even in the circumstances he described. Never once did she have to make a choice between her own life, and someone else'. Draco had done that and it was no wonder that he felt guilt that he had not died. Soldiers she had met on Alderaan had felt this way. Why were they alive and the others not? Draco had decided to save many by sacrificing his friend.

In a time when he didn't have many, he let the one he had become fodder for a spider.

He was always waitng for her to judge him, to turn a disgusted gaze on him and cast him away. So when he had finished his story and looked at her it wasn't a face that reflected hate at him as he seemed to expect, no it was a face that showed concern and sadness.

She was sad that Draco had to lose his friend, sad that life had been so incredibly hard for them all. She reached out and pushed his hair back. She needed to give him reassurance to say it was alright that she understood even if she didn't have quite the frame of reference to relate it to.

It was perhaps a weakness in the Organa women's genes to love men with questionable pasts. "You made a hard decision Draco." She whispered softly as she stroked his hair lightly, her brown eyes looking steadily into his storm gray eyes, "She was your friend, as hard as it is to accept Drahr if you had not let her go the spider could have gotten everyone. Ner runi, you know this. " She pushed his hair behind his ears.

She leaned closer putting her lips to his ear and softly whispered, "I still love you"

[member="Draco Vereen"]

It wasn't that he had saved others, it had always been that she had been his friend and he let her die in his mind. He had been in the blackness of dark, and his reaction had been to save himself. At least that's how he had reflected on it for a long time. That had been the start of his fall. The very first step down the slippery slope. Considering he was now balancing the Light and the Dark within himself, it made sense he would need to reflect on those choices and learn from them. And he had learned from that decision, he had grown much since then. But, could he do what was needed and would he recognize when a little dark protected others and when it was selfish and wrong.

Draco relaxed at her touch, as she brushed his hair out of his face he smiled. She was lovely as always, but her kind, caring face always warmed his heart some. It was something about her acceptance of him. She had known he had a dark past and a Dark Side when they first met and she had struggled and loved him through all of that throughout their time together. Now he could work towards making sure she was comfortable and safe for the rest of their lives. "I know, cyar'ika." He said with a weak smile when she leaned over him and whispered into his ear.

Her hot breath on his ear reminded him of all the good times they had shared in the last several months. "I need you ner runi. Forever and always, I'll need you. You know that. I just have lived a life with a lot of regrets that I need to wash away. Hopefully by the time we get back home, all we will have is the future. Our future together."

[member="Faith Organa"]

She didn't know that he could wash them away and forget them, he really wasn't wired that way. He remembered everything even things that she had forgotten. She didn't know how to say to him that what he sought might not give him what he wanted, but perhaps.

She always touched him, leaving her presence wrapped around him to warm him on dark nights, and to get through days like this. "Draco ner Drahr I am always yours forever and always no matter what."

He wanted her to know, "I understand your life has regrets, we must find a way to help with that. You're a good person now, you do good things, we need to do something for your home to help them, to show the people not to give up. We need something that lets you help them, while it helps you and your conscience" For a diplomat her words sometimes felt disjointed and meaningless.

She wanted to say, if you do good things maybe it would ease the regrets. But she did not know if that would work with Draco, he sometimes needed immediate results. Faith kissed his cheek.

"Tell me more about your friend." She hoped it would help.

[member="Draco Vereen"]

Draco grinned at Faith as they sat, their ship soaring through hyperspace towards the outer rim. Draco enjoyed spending time with her, and even though his life had regrets, he doubted that he should truly regret them. Every choice he had made had eventually lead him to her, and allowed him to change and be what she wanted, what she needed when the opportunity presented itself. Perhaps that was his reward after years of hardship?

"I suppose we will help some, but the Alliance saw to it that the people of Eriadu didn't suffer. They helped, and the Techno Union donated some funds back when I was in charge." Draco gently patted her belly reassuringly, letting her know everything was fine, or would be before long.

He felt her lips gentle on his cheek and blushed slightly. "Oh? Worried are you?" He joked playfully.

"She was a little hapan woman, redhead. You know the type. She was nice, had some bouts of the saucy princess, but Kessel wasn't made for nice people. She was in a prison filled with slaves and low-lifes on the outer rim. I was one of the few that didn't bother her, so we got a long alright. I think the thing I remember most was the way she would sing while we were down in the spice mines. Not loud, just a little tune she said she remembered from her home. We never did anything if that's what you are thinking. It was just good to have someone, anyone in the pits that was looking out for you, ya know." He knew Faith wasn't totally the jealous type, and likely wouldn't freak out, but he did want to reassure her that it wasn't like he was robbed of his first love. Faith was, and always would be, his true love. He may have had a few partners over the years, but never anyone he felt the same way about. He sighed, "I guess that's why I blocked her out. We looked out for each other, and then, I didn't come through for her the first time it really mattered. It wasn't a full year after that I escaped."

[member="Faith Organa"]

Pain he had known so much of it and now she learned that it was from a young age. The spice mines of Kessel was there any place worse than it? She understood that prisoners were made to pay for their crimes, and this woman was a prisoner.

She was a Hapan, how odd she did not think Hapans ventured very far from Hapes. But she had and she had stumbled onto Draco. It was becoming easier to see why he absorbed responsibility like a sponge, was immediate to take on anything that made those around him safer.
Did he love this girl? In some way Faith believed he did. Two people in need of some compassion, some remnant of humanity. Would she be jealous? Not of a ghost, no. She would feel sad.

She watched as he reached over and touched her stomach, yes their children were part of the redemption story, of their story. She would teach them her view of their father. A man driven by his desires, brought down by emotions, and then redeemed. They would know nothing came simple or easy.

They would learn to work hard like he had, even though they will bear the title Prince and Princess. A title did not make you entitled. It made you responsible.

"I'm not thinking you did anything Draco, and even if you did it was long ago in a time when some tenderness would go a long way in a hard life" She stroked his cheek again, a reassuring touch that she spoke the truth to him, and that she still loved him.

"Do you know if she had any family on Hapes?"

[member="Draco Vereen"]

Draco smiled at Faith's gentle touch. "Not that she ever mentioned. But then again, no one really talked much about where they came from before the pit. Most conversation was simple small talk, or talking about what we were going to do once we got out." He shrugged. He remembered he had always talked about settling down and working some nine to five job and being damn happy to be able to do so. To live a simple life away from it all and free. But that had changed after the incident in the mines. Perhaps it was a good thing in the end, at least for him. Lots of heart ache and pain, struggle and torment, but in the end he had more than he ever really wanted. Perhaps that was his reward for a life of struggle?

"I liked to talk about getting out and finding some factory job, or anything that would let me settle down with some nice girl and not have to worry about death or war, and go on vacations. That's why I made ArmaTech the way it is, so that other people could have that dream. Its a little shady to keep people from taking advantage, and sometimes it can be a little harsh, but it does help millions of people." Draco kissed Faith on the nose softly. "She always talked about getting out, getting in shape, and becoming a model or some other glamorous thing, and I talked about getting out of a spice mine and going into metal working. I think I just thought anything would be better than where I was. It wasn't what I really wanted, it was just what I would settle for, what I'd be happy if I could have had just that much." He laughed at the irony of the situation, that someone would long to escape the dark pit and hard labor only to go into a physically demanding field.

"What did you want when you were growing up?" Draco asked, shifting the conversation a little towards her. There was much they weren't sure of, and he knew they would be discovering new things about each other for years to come. He had always been destined to be a warrior, it was in his blood. It was tradition for his family to serve, but few served their whole life times away. His father had served for years, and then spent the rest of his life working in a mechanics shop until he died when the First Order bombed the planet.
