Once you feel them, then you just need to understand what they are. How they function and where in the world they go. As you grow to connect with the force, be mindful of your studies. Not all wisdom just comes to you, some of it you have to be willing to open a book for." She said it and continued to focus the energy manipulating it with her hand and then her fingers while she swirled a line of air. Rolling it along her fingers like it might be a coin casually to show what she meant. Never stopping and once it got down to her last finger and fliped it back up to the top getting a small raise of her eyebrows. "Manipulating the air is easier, compared to the world, shfting entire tectonic plates to make an earthquake, receding the water to direct it and make a flood, clearing the clouds and getting as much of the moisture out of the air to make it hot and dry. All of it required a great understanding and skill."

A slow nod of his head indicated his understanding, but he didn't speak. Instead, he began to float a bit, as if his mind was instinctively remembering the prior lessons in that moment and applying them. If he would be able to do this, and still do the weather manipulation, was still up for debate... But when it came to the Force, nothing was impossible. Nothing too big... Energy consuming perhaps, but not too big. With that, the blue vapors would begin to change, as the air in his direct vicinity would begin to bend to his will, beginning to swirl about in bigger and bigger bursts. It was still only a short distance, and it wouldn't go near Matsu, but he seemed to be getting it.

Josh continued to do his best to keep his concentration... All of the new sensations made him want to open his eyes, and see what was around him, but he needed to learn how to control this first. He had it now, he just needed to keep applying it... Needed to control it... He was so close. Sure, Matsu had already said air manipulation was far easier, and Josh could accept that and it was why he'd started there, but he'd like to think he was doing alright.

He just needed to hold on a bit longer while he adjusted and perhaps then he could see and not just feel what he was doing.

She was watching him and moving around with a grin on her face. interest in what he was doing and how he was doing it as she could see it. The processes were there until the jedi master crossed her ankles while hovering in the air. "Better." She didn't shout it, more just said it as a matter of fact. He was doing better so it would go forward with a few more ideas... she would try to get his ability to manipulate the air to turn to the other elements. Water, fire, earth, metals, heat, cold and so forth until he could control the smallest details of the environment. She remained floating around with ease, generating and pulling at the force around herself instead of just using her own energy and tiring out her body.

Slowly, ever so surely... He began to rise to his feet. He began to break the meditative stance while doing his best to keep the powers of flight and weather manipulation flowing. They shook for a bit, and seemed like they might break but Josh was one thing that kept him going and that was overwhelmingly stubborn. He allowed his limbs to stretch out to their full height as he would continue to hold the flight, hold the particles flying around him...

And finally he opened his eyes.

His shock at what he was seeing almost caused him to fall, but it didn't. He was too stubborn to let it go. He kept his focus, kept it going... He was more used to it now, he just needed to make it second nature.

"There we go." She was checking out some of it though when the different things the jedi did.... her interest in a few of them though the jedi master floated around him and she could manipulate the air currents all around them. She had some parts of it though generating white light itself until she had her body and energies restored. "You are getting better at it." She hung around and did a few flips and looped around him hangin upseide down while her hair continued to feel the effects of gravity al around her. She didn't let it flow outwards or whip around aimlessly. "Though we might have to see a few parts of them that have been getting worked on."

"The question is, what do I manipulate all this white stuff into now that I've got it formed?" He half-joked, the innuendo likely not lost in it. It was true though... He'd managed the first part of the exercise, and even had managed to multitask it fairly well with the whole flying thing. The question now was what did he do with this ability now that he had it? He'd seen Matsu summon hurricanes, but he likely wasn't ready for that. It probably wasn't as easy as it looked.

No, what could he do in the meanwhile? What did he start with? He looked toward Matsu then with a curious eye. He would need a bit of guidance on this one. "I guess to be blunt... Where should I start, Master Ike? I see many possibilities, but no clear answer on where my level of skill could be best suited to practice with first."

She raised an eyebrow watching him and held up a finger. "Well I would always start at making sure you can keep doing it. Generation requires a connection few can maintain. It took me over thirty years to learn some of these skills and how to connect with them. I have journeyed across the stars sev eral times discovering the different groups of the force who have knowledge of all its aspects. So where you should begin is in maintaining it and using the energy to keep yourself fresh." She said it with a small grin on her face though and putting her hands behind her back. "Besides you really don't want to try controlling the weather with distractions or a danger of it getting out of control."

That was fairly unhelpful, but he supposed practicing for another 30 years couldn't hurt. Ignoring the whole thing about travelling through space and time and becoming leader of the Time Lords or something like that, Josh would return to practicing, taking a deep breath before letting the orbs spin around him while he began to float around of his own volition, eyes wide open and no longer needing to be cross-legged.

Some progress was being shown, it appeared. He held out his hands and seemed to be better able to control the direction of the white orbs, though there was an issue. He really didn't understand what to do with them beyond moving them about. He could control them, but had no clue where to even start on giving them shape.

She was watching him and the orbs he moved around brought her eyebrow up. "Are you going to use them?" She said it and held out a hand pulling at one to let it absorb into her skin. "Generating the force does little if you don't use it. Absorbing it into yourself can restore you or more importantly someone else. When you get really good at manipulating it then you can use it to heal large groups and never time. Groups like the matukai use it to have near infinite stamina in the face of their incredible physical powers." She had seen them and they were strongme and women to be fair able to punch through walls and doors or toss around shuttles thanks to the force. same way a fallanassi could manipulate the current for illusions or the shapers with elements. Witches with spirits and the force, the shamans or the paladins... Well she waited touching down on the ground with her feet. "Hmm there we go that feels good, now where to move onto next."

He had literally asked her how to "use it" beforehand and all she had done was tell him to practice, so he couldn't help but just stare at her blankly for a few seconds when she spoke, but just shrugged it off and focused instead on listening to the lesson. Though when she got into the history lesson, he would instead begin to focus on applying. Knowing about things like the witches and the fallanassi was well and good, but so long as he noted them, he could look them up further on his own time.

He would take a deep breath as he would close his eyes, beginning to focus the orbs into himself. He could feel his strength beginning to return to him, indicating he was doing something right. It was only a little bit, but it was something.

She watched him and remained there while she didn't need to drift off. Just standing still and holding a hand up while her fingers touhced. THumb and index finger for a moment. She was focusing the force before moving quickly. The technique she had been researching was new, something learned from the wolves of lothal and.... not exactly the most stable but she knew how to do it and had shown for some skills. "Better, I would wager you are starting to show an understanding of the technique. Enough that when I am not around you won't harm yourself." It was a copliment but like with many skills... there was a danger within the force. She waited and moved while the images in front of her eyes blurred and became lines for a brief moment. "I don't recommend trying to make a storm but a whirlwind to move around some papers or clean an area of the temple sure."

(Mobile)

A whirlwind, then? Josh would nod his head, acknowledging that he had heard her but the Battlemaster was primarily focused on making this work. Josh would allow himself to focus, to become better attuned to his senses and the Force as he would stop flying around, just hovering there in the air as the orbs would re-appear.

Letting out an exhale, he would begin to manipulate the orbs the same way he had before. Same way he did to move them around, same way he used to move them into himself, but manipulating them to create a whirlwind was going to take some creativity. Jessica at one point had suggested visualization as a good technique for powers of the sort and he wondered if this were one of them... Was worth a shot

Steadily, the orbs would begin to dissipate as a gust of wind would begin to blow, spinning around him as the gust would begin to become stronger and stronger...

She was watching him and practicing for now. He was starting to get it so she could move the lesson along as needed or eat up. Moving a hand towards her bag when she looked it over and pulled a small slip of her food pack. The soups they had access to and made self heatin were soemthing nice as she pulled out a spoon. SHe was letting him train and get comfortable with the technique but... her stomach was also rumbling a little when she ate the stewed meat and potato's. "You are doing better."

He had about reached a point where he could practice on his own and that would be the best way to do this, though continued pointers would be nice, he supposed, in knowing what to do with the orbs once he had summoned them. Healing, creating a gale though... They would be a decent start. He nodded in acknowledgement of her words before he would focus and push a bit harder, the gale becoming to get stronger and stronger by the moment. But he knew he needed to be able to control it as well...

"Tips for control?"

"Never push to hard." She said it and explaining control of weather was... not exactly doable as you couldn't control every aspect of it. That would be as useful as ordering water to maintain its shape without a container. Still the jedi master was looking at it and her attention went to the more interesting things. Mostly she was standing there with a look on her face so she could work and train the force energies themselves. Turning it over and over in her hand until she looked at Joshua having a small grin on her face though. She would have to work on this and really build it up to become she had a small orb and was ready to keep it going.

Mmm, fair advice, he supposed. "I think I've about reached the point where just practice would be best" Josh would admit as the gales would die down. It was true that now, he was just practicing while Matsu oversaw, but odds were he was just taking up the Master's time at this point. Unless she had any other advice to impart, he didn't want to keep her any longer.

"Perhaps we should wrap up?" He would inquire as he would allow the wind to stop blowing, and for him to finally land back on his feet. The fact he didn't fall and crash at this point was probably an accomplishment in of itself.

"Very well." She had a look on her face and bowed her head. A smile appearing before she held her hands out with a look on her face towards Joshua. She put a hand up while the chevron pad was visible and pulled up then out with the hardlight scanner appearing now with everythinf for her. The jedi AI about what was being worked on, her own projects within the library monolith they have been working on. New robes, new equipment, new ships that the jedi would be able to use and work with. "I'll be working on my projects should I be needed." Where she was going and working on the tunnel the loth wolves taught her.

Josh would bow his head then, respectfully. "Thank you very much for your assistance, Master Ike. It has been very much appreciated" He spoke politely, before he would turn and leave the room. He had learned much from Master Ike on this day, and he would appreciate every bit of it. Now, it was time to begin applying what he had learned... To improve, to master it, to make it his own...

He would use it well.
